Lams Thai and Chinese Restaurant
11640 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606, United States
We were looking for a chinese restaurant after spending the day at Six Flags and we stumbled upon this hidden gem. The Tom Kha was amazing and the pad thai was moist and tasty. Serving portions were more than generous. Definitely worth a visit if you are in North LA

BBQ Unlimited Chinese Restaurant

Weve been coming here for over 25 yrs. Im glad to see that theyve reopened after closing down for a few months because of the Pandemic. We love the bbq pork and roast duck wonton noodle soup. The wonton dumplings are so good, they have ground pork and shrimp inside. This dish is the main reason weve been coming here all these years. We normally takeout one order for each of us either bbq pork or duck it also includes a generous portion of Chinese broccoli and thin noodles. If you come early enough you can add a Chinese style donut to dip in your soup. Oh so good. They also have a large menu of other dishes which are good. I also recommend the salt and pepper pork chops. Which is deep fried with chili peppers and garlic. That being said parking and seating is limited. The restaurant is kind of a hole in a wall and the main server isnt very friendly but the service other than that is unusually good and prices are decent. They are open Wed-Mon 10am-6pm Closed on Tuesdays.

Vegetarian Paradise! I was so surprised to see so many vegetarian/vegan meat options! Never seen anything like that in a Chinese restaurant. And the food is really good, can’t wait to try the entire vegan menu.
Hot wok Chinese food

This place is THE definition of a local chinese restaurant that you go to because of the great tasting food and great prices. A locals favorite hole in the wall you dont want too many people to find out about. Thankfully, this place is famous but the owner doesnt really care to change his ways.Forget the mediocre franchise Chinese fast food and come here. This place is awesome.
Dragon Street Chinese
5001 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601, United States
This place is a joke. I came from out of town and needed a late meal to tide me over until the next day. I figured fried wontons and fried rice are easy enough and hard to mess up. WRONG! The chicken in the rice was a gross texture and had gnarly bits in it. There was NO cheese in the wontons at all. None. It was just a fried wonton wrapper.I barely ate any of it and threw it all in the trash. I cant remember ever wanting to throw my whole dinner away.

Horrible. If you like Thai flavored cafeteria food this is your place. I felt bad because this is right by my house so I thought I had found my go-to for dinner and like supporting small businesses.I ordered the veggie curry and the fresh spring rolls.First the spring rolls. I had asked for extra herbs (mint, basil, whichever they used). The skin was hardened like it had been left out a while and bursting out of the seems with... iceberg lettuce. Not only iceberg lettuce but the cheap pre-mixed bunch that you can get at the dollar store that tastes like plastic. There were no herbs, no mint, no basil no nothing. No noodles. Nothing. At all. It was basically just a ball of school cafeteria style lettuce. The only upside was the cucumber in the middle which I appreciated. The Curry was the same issue! I had asked for NO CARROTS and to just replace with extra veggies of their choice or tofu. Whichever was easier. Not only did they include MOSTLY carrots, but it was very apparent that their veggies they say the include on their menu (not listed out, it just says veggies) were from the frozen vegetable medley bag you would find a the dollar store also! It was cubed carrots and peas. Thank God there were two sprigs of broccoli. But not only was there MOSTLY cubed up carrots you would find at a school cafeteria after I asked for no carrots, but there were HARDLY any vegetables at all in comparison to the curry, which was the consistency of colored water! Did they even use coconut milk? I know they sell THAT at the dollar store.Completely disappointed. I was really hoping this could be my week-night go to since its walking distance from my house. If youre going to serve someone trash, at least charge them trash worthy prices.

My favorite Chinese food place. Chow mein and orange chicken are so bomb here. Also the walnut shrimp is the best. Call to order walnut shrimp before hand so u wont have to wait in the restaurant.

Panda Express

Lol at all these bad reviews. It's a fast food joint in a theme park. It's going to be busy. The five plate options are a good enough variety to meet dietary needs of people who can already eat at panda and help the line move quicker. Limited options means people should be able to make decisions quicker. It was a Saturday in April so it was pretty busy. I don't know how long we waited in line but it was a while. The food was hot and tasted like Panda Express. They were making everything quickly and replenishing supply before things really got cold. My crab Rangoons were fresh out of the fryer. It was about $60 for our meal. We got two water bottles, two entrees, spring rolls, and crab rangoons. It's pretty standard pricing for a theme park.
