China Delight Restaurant

Came across this Chinese restaurant during a stay at the Yosemite Southgate hotel. It is within walking distance of the hotel so we decided to give it a try, not expecting too much. We were greeted by the hostess right away. We decided to try the beef stew tofu and salty pork. Well, to our surprise, both of those dishes were very good and very authentic. I am from Hong Kong so I know good authentic Chinese food when I see them. I would definitely go out of my way to patron this restaurant if you happen to be in the Oakhurst area.

I've been going here for a year now, since moving to Oakhurst, yet never gave the review it deserved. The food here is fantastic; if you want Chinese food in Oakhurst, this is the place to go. Pictured in this review is the Mongolian Beef, and it was excellent — the beef had a hint of sweetness to it, with a mild spiciness, from the sugary-sweet caramelized onions, coupled with the soy sauce based sauce you'd expect from Mongolian Beef.If you want boba, this is also a great place to quickly grab one on the go, and they also have different sugar level options if you are someone like me who prefers their boba to be very low extra amounts of sugar.Service has always been top-tier; the woman who seems to always be there (maybe the owner?) is extremely kind, welcoming and patient. She'll guide you in the right direction if you have questions. When you see a small hole-in-the-wall, you tend to assume the place is pretty great, and this is no exception. My partner and I will continue coming here for a long time.

Outstanding restaurant with great food and awesome service! We were staying at the adjoining Best Western for two nights near Yosemite and so had the good fortune of enjoying several great meals at the Oakhurst Grill. On our first night we arrived fairly near to their 9:30 closing time due to a long drive from Sequioa National Park but we still got great, unrushed service. They sat us outside on the balcony away from everyone else since we had my sisters little dog along but our server Josh was attentive and speedy nonetheless. The massive Double Best Western burger I had was stupendously flavorful and of course very filling after a long day driving while my family enjoyed their bread bowl and salmon skillets as well. The second night was a Monday and the restaurant was surprisingly absolutely packed so we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. We happened to get Josh again and despite the huge dinner crowd the service was just as excellent. This time I got to enjoy their awesome 10 ounce sirloin while my niece loved her pretzel and beer butter appetizer. Josh even had time to bring our little Zoey a doggie bowl with some water to make sure she wasnt thirsty. The prices also seemed quite reasonable especially given how Oakhurst is a tourist town thats the nearest to Yosemites south entrance. The atmosphere was very cozy and friendly too with charming decor. We totally loved the giant bear statue right in front of the main entrance. The two mornings we spent at the Best Western treated us to the restaurants excellent buffet thats exclusive to hotel guests. Copious servings of hot bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit, and potatoes were a great way to start the day together with other choices like oatmeal, cereal, toast, and waffles straight from the two waffle makers. Service was efficient, the food was delicious, and we left very satisfied every morning. We didnt get to sample lunch since they only open for it Thursday to Sunday but Im sure it would have been just as excellent based on breakfast and dinner and we certainly wouldnt hesitate to recommend the Oakhurst Grill to anyone coming to the area!
Yosemite Southgate Hotel and Suites

It was a clean hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable. The only reason why I gave them 4 ⭐ is because the staff could be more welcoming and helpful. Although the lady serving breakfast was absolutely inviting! Be sure to tip her. She always has a smile and willing to help.Front desk could do with a little training on customer service. There are 3 modern hotels less than 200 feet away. Choose wisely. My wife loves the rustic cabin feel more than I.On the plus side there are many restaurants near this location. Anything from out of this world BBQ, Thai, Chinese, Italian, brewery and a Dennys on the grounds.Next visit we will be sure to stay a few days in the valley and a few days in Oakhurst.

Came here with a group of 10 on a Sunday for late lunch. There was a 45 minute wait, but we were able to hang out outside and drink beers while we waited by the little ordering window. It went by fast! The service was very friendly. Its a popular family spot, and they seemed very accommodating to kids. Theres plenty of space in the store itself.Beers: I got a Tomahawk imperial red beer and a stout. The red was very strong, like 9% ABV. You can definitely taste it and it created a buzz before my mail. The stout was good, although it felt heavy as I was drinking it during my meal. It had hints of coffee and chocolate.Hula Pork Fries: Garlic fries topped with smoked pulled pork, pineapple pico and fried egg topped with Hoisin Sticky Sauce, cilantro and green onion - We got this as an appetizer to share. Personally, I found the sauce to be too strong, and it tasted a bit burnt. Eating it with the non-dressed fries makes it balanced out more. The meat on top was fatty and rich, so I think this is something you should definitely share to avoid a food coma.Peaches & Cream Burger: Goat cheese, bacon, crispy shallot, peach gastrique, arugula, and rosemary aioli - This was a tasty burger! I didnt taste a shallot, nor peach that much, but the arugula was a fresh touch, and I could really taste the goat cheese with the big patty. The meat was delicious.Blu Tang Burger: Grass fed beef patty topped with blue cheese, caramelized onions, honey thyme butter, arugula and garlic mayo - The blue cheese shone through on this burger! My cousin got it. The caramelized onions, and the butter brought it all together. You can really taste the quality of the beef. I liked that they asked how you like your patties as well.Pacific Cod Fish Tacos: Wild caught Pacific Cod tacos with cabbage, green onions and fresh cilantro in corn tortillas with cilantro crema and house made salsa verde, battered - These tacos were ENORMOUS. Each person who ordered this couldnt finish it on their own. The pieces of fish were big and toppled with cabbage. I liked their chunks of fresh jalapenos too!Pub Fish and Chips: Honey Badger Wheat Ale battered, wild caught Pacific Cod served with fries and house made tartar sauce - Again, this was huge. It felt like a bigger, less dressed version of the fish in the tacos. My cousin was a fan of this! All of the sides of fries, both regular and sweet potato, were crispy and tasty! Went well with our entrees. The prices lean higher but I think its justified in the sheer amount of food. We all had to walk it off afterwards and had a fat food coma in the car.I would recommend this spot for your trip to the Yosemite area! Great fuel to power your day in nature.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I never take the time to leave reviews regardless of my experience at businesses, but this was so bad, I felt I owed it to others to warn them never to come here.My boyfriend and I were staying in the area because we were visiting Yosemite for his 30th birthday. I thought it would be nice to get a massage after a long day of hiking. I called about 2 weeks prior to make the appointment for a COUPLE'S massage. This service is specifically listed on their website, so I thought nothing of it and was looking forward to enjoying a massage in the same room as my boyfriend after our hike. When we arrived we were forced to pay for the service (in cash only) before we received our massage, which has never happened to me before. I found it odd but proceeded to pay. We were then rushed into 2 separate rooms even though we kept saying “no we wanted a couples massage in the same room.” Her response was “don't worry, I'm married.” We both found it highly offensive for her to assume that was the reason why we wanted a couple's massage. That should have been my cue to ask for my money back and leave on the spot.It was very hot in the studio which was uncomfortable. The lady brought her dog to her business, and it was barking nonstop throughout the massage. She also tried to make conversation with my boyfriend throughout the entire massage which made him uncomfortable and unable to relax. Her talking also made me unable to relax because the doorway separating the two rooms was only closed with a curtain and a dresser so I could hear her as if she was talking directly to me. She left my boyfriend's massage several times to answer the loudly ringing phone and to help a walk in guest. My therapist didn't seem like an experienced massage therapist whatsoever. It seemed as though the lady that massaged my boyfriend called in her friend to lightly rub me and call it a massage. To be fair, the start of the massage was nice. It felt good when she rubbed my head, but from there it got progressively worse and I just grew more angry and unable to relax as time went on. She touched my face entirely too much and snagged my earring. We paid for an hour massage and they ended the service before an hour was up. My boyfriend received hot stones during his massage and I absolutely did not. My lady told me she was done and left the room so I could get dressed, but she kept coming back in to clean up while I wasn't clothed. It was highly inappropriate and made me that much more upset. At this point I felt like crying. I tried to plan the perfect birthday weekend for my boyfriend and I felt so bad this was the type of massage it wound up being. Because the price was already way more than I'm used to paying and because we paid in cash, I decided not to tip them. Everyone in the studio was aware I was unhappy, yet the lady went ahead and rudely asked for a tip anyways. I walked out clearly upset, but my boyfriend being the sweet person he is gave them $20 to split. Instead of thanking him, she had the audacity to say “That's it? For both of us?”Horrible environment, horrible experience, horrible lack of awareness from Lilac Massage. Do yourselves a favor and never go!

I stayed there for a night and I would say our experience was good .Room was neat and clean -Good to sleep and move on to the sightseeing .B/F was ok not a great selection just bread butter jam etc and good coffee and fruits .Overall a decent place.Location wise it’s top with a 7 ‘LL on the opposite side and a good Chinese restaurant next door and a nice grill restaurant as well ahead .
