Ocha Classic Restaurant
9071 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
Decent little Thai restaurant at the corner of Nordhoff and Van Nuys in the jewel of the valley, Panorama City. Come check it out! They dont deliver, and parking sucks around there (as do the crosswalks, watch out for hobos and speeding cars) but the interior is nice and quaint, it reminds me of small Chinese restaurants in the North-East to be honest.
Chowking
8231 Woodman Ave, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
I ordered Beef Wonton and I said 2 chicken soup (the only items they have on the menu is beef wonton and chicken mami) so when I said chicken soup I meant chicken mami - I saw on the register that the cashier entered the correct items then he added $1 for bobba and I asked him why because I was just buying soup, he said that is the item they enter for soup(broth). So I gave him a $20 and he gave me more than $9 change which did not make sense to me, I should have paid more $7.99 for beef and $6.99 for chicken and then he blamed it on me that I said I wanted chicken soup (broth) which is not even on the menu - he should have verified what I wanted. Then he got the help from a female and I gave her all the change he gave me then she was asking me for $13 more which I said that does not make sense, I know what I bought cannot be more than $30! So she had to ask another guy to fix it, while they are fixing their mistake, they surely made me feel that it was all my fault, really the worst customer service experience I got, no apologies at all. They kept on going to the back to discuss I guess and the cook was going back with them. I feared that they may mess with my food and that is why I was not being mean to them when I pointed out their mistakes. Customers beware, always check your receipts. I will never go back to this branch. You need to train your workers better - in the past the staff there were always happy and treated customers better.
Asia Buffet
8220 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
$17 dinner, not bad. I was here on a Sunday which is all day dinner. Cant say how much and other meals are on other days. Its an Asian Buffet. There is sushi, orange chicken, Korean BBQ, fried rice, tepan yaki (fried noodles with your choice ingredients while you wait, a tip for the cook is considerate), and so on.If youve had a combo plate at some point at it behind the glass Chinese restaurant, then youve had this food. Nothing too exciting, but you can get as full as you wish. I only go when I have a big appetite. I always plan to get my moneys worth, and I usually do. My personal choice is sushi, beef ribs, Chow main and salad. My diet excludes shell fish, so about half of the buffet is off limits. Oh yeah, if your like seafood, like crab legs, muscles, oysters and the such, you might like this place. Popular choices among the other diners. There are American choices the kids might like. Pizza, nuggets and french fries.Nice place for big groups. A large dining room. Clean bathroom. Food is constantly stocked. Bussing the dishes can be slow, but it WAS busy when I was there. Waters are nice, but not really needed much, mostly the drinks and being seated. Drinks are extra. I chose a free glass water. The dessert table looked tasty, but I was strong enough to pass it by, it was hard. Parking can be frustrating. Arm yourself with patience. Nice size lot, but shared with other businesses. I think the address is on Van Nuys Blvd, but the entrance and lot is in the back. Use the driveway from Roscoe or the small street South of it and parallel. Titus? I think... to get to the other alley.

Love this place! We come here all the time when we want a great home cooked meal! The staff is wonderfully nice and the food quality is consistent! Cant ask for anything better! Affordable prices and huge portions! Definitely one of our favorite spots! Weve been here many times and surprisedly havent posted many reviews! When you want quick, friendly service and youre ready to throw some food down, definitely visit Ras Noodle.Update2019.04-12/1700: Man, oh man! Xāh̄ār k̄hxng phwk k̄heā xr̀xy! Their food is delicious! We love visiting them because of the delicious food and excellent customer service. Each time weve visited, the food is consistent in quality and taste. The aunties here are so kind that it feels like were eating at my relatives house. That goes the same for the food! Today we had the Papaya Salad and Thai Sausage. You will not be able to find this sausage anywhere - weve tried. Everywhere we go, its the same noodle dishes - Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Pad Wun Sen, etc. This is why we order them! Weve recently discovered their Larb, too - delish!Tonight the hubby had the Duck Noodles and I had the Tom Kha Gai Seafood! Couldnt help but get the same thing because the broth of the Tom Kha Gai had the perfect creamy and sour broth with the right amount of heat! I usually get the mild because thats enough heat! Again, my soup was LOADED with fish, shrimp, mushrooms, mussels, squid and tripe. Everything about this soup is comforting. I KNOW I will still be here in the summer ordering this dish!My husband had the Duck Noodles. I cant even describe the broth to you because it was also delicious! The consistency was like a light gravy with hints of anise and five spice, possibly?!! It, too was loaded with roasted, tender duck. I cant believe how good it was. The husband said he doesnt know what hes gonna do now because hes hooked on the broth! Before we left, we noticed they had the Mango Sticky Rice in stock! We doubled up on our order! The insane thing is, we saw them stock up on it and within the hour, the stock disappeared. Even with take away orders, people called in and were ordering the Mango Sticky Rice in bulk. We wanted our share because we noticed within the last two weeks, you cant get Mango Sticky Rice anywhere. You really have to look because the dessert takes about a day to prep and another day to cook it, if its really authentic. Their portion of this dessert was HUGE! They even present it beautifully that you dont want to eat it! The mango was perfectly ripe! I cant stand getting mangos and theyre not ripe - it ruins the dessert completely. I wanted to dig into them on the ride home! You can SMELL the sticky rice when you open the bag! Dont be a B and do yourself a favor and get more than one - youll thank me later, I promise. The stickiness in the rice was PERFECT! How? Ive tried this at home and failed miserably! The dipping sauce balances out the sweetness so much that youll wish you had two containers of it!If youre looking for authentic, this is the place to be. One word: proper. Its proper when you see the elders from Thailand dining there each time you visit. Its legit, we promise! Weve heard people complimenting their food while we were there saying it tastes like their back at home so that shows you it has to be good! One huge thank you to the staff there - they make it happen! Original Khun Dang Thai Restaurant
8210 Sepulveda Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
Absolutely outstanding! The Original Khun Dang Thai Restaurant in Panorama City, CA never disappoints. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. And let's talk about the water! It's rare to find a place that goes above and beyond with their water, and it was such a refreshing surprise. The Thai Tea was a delight as well, perfectly balanced and full of flavor. As for the food, we ordered the fried chicken wontons, pad see ew, and chicken larb. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece. The fried chicken wontons were crispy on the outside, with a juicy and flavorful filling that left us craving for more. The pad see ew had just the right amount of wok-char, and the noodles were perfectly cooked, complemented by the savory sauce. And the chicken larb? It was simply sensational. The blend of fresh herbs, spices, and tender chicken created a symphony of tastes that we won't soon forget. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The dishes were not only delicious but also prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. The flavors were vibrant, and the portions were generous. The team at Khun Dang Thai truly knows how to create culinary magic. To top it all off, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a memorable dining experience. The Original Khun Dang Thai Restaurant has become our go-to place for authentic Thai cuisine. Khun Khao Thai Restaurant
13550 Roscoe Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
Hmmm I guess I havent posted a review here for Khun Khao, so Ill have to remedy that. Ive been a customer for more than 30 years. I dont live in LA anymore, but when we find ourselves in LA we always stop by there. The owner still remembers us and treats us like friends. But the food. Best Thai I have had anywhere. OK so I havent been to Thailand but Ive been all over US and Europe, and Khun Khao is #1 in my book. There are two dishes in particular that I get every time. One is Cashew Nut Chicken. I guess plenty of places make this dish good- but still Khun Khao stand out. The other dish is Kua Gai, also known as Guay Tiew Kua Gai. Its a noodle dish that is similar to pad see ew. This stuff is AMAZING. I am told it is a common Thai street food dish that you can find everywhere. But not many Thai restaurants in the US make it. Ive found 2 in the Bay Area that make it- but neither of them are very good. The Kua Gai at Khun Khao is PHENOMENAL. Trust me- go try it. Everything else weve had is good (my wife likes their deserts) but I never get anything else there. On top of this, their prices are very reasonable, portions good, and the staff friendly. Its a small restaurant on Roscoe Blvd in Panorama City. Not the best neighborhood and its just a small spot in a nondescript strip mall. So dont go for the ambience. But do go for the food. You will thank me.
Cha Cha 8 Thai Food
8111 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
I saw this restaurant since it opened and I always passed it up for other established Thai restaurants in the area until today and oh man I am disappointed that I never tried it before! Its really delicious!! The couple that run it are really nice and treat everyone well. The coconut seafood soup tastes great even considering that they opted for imitation crab, which they do make up for by loading it with other bits of goodness. The pad kee Mao is exquisite and well seasoned, the noodles are perfectly cooked. Those two dishes plus two boba drinks totaled $38. Worth every cent because we were not able to finish it and it was so delicious that we didnt want to leave a bite. This place affirms the old addage that the best restaurants are sometimes in hole in the wall locations. Cheers
Mami King Restaurant
13551 Roscoe Blvd UNIT 1, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
I recently visited Mami King based on a recommendation from a friend. This restaurant used to be their favorite spot when they lived in Panorama City, and its still a go-to when they visit family. Despite the distance, they make it a point to dine in or grab takeout from here.I was excited to try out the food and was not disappointed. The Tokwat Baboy was a definite highlight, and the chicken and rice combo was delicious, especially with that amazing sauce. The Kikiam was also a must-try and didnt disappoint.I was also impressed with the Patatim, which I ordered to go. It was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. The restaurant has ample parking, which is always a plus, and its great to see that theyve started accepting credit cards as a mode of payment. The only downside to my experience was that the restaurant has limited space to dine in. However, its worth it to visit and eat here, and I can see why my friend always makes a point to come back.Overall, I highly recommend Mami King for anyone looking for authentic Filipino food. Whether youre dining in or taking out, you wont be disappointed. I hope to be back soon to try out more of their menu.
sur sushi restaurant
14650 Parthenia St, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
A sushi place inside a swap shop ?? Must be horrible … right ? … right ?????You. Have. No. Idea. How. Good. It. Is!!!Honestly, I was just looking for some cheap sushi to munch on. You know, $8 rolls or something.NopeeeeeeeeThis was one of the best sushi places I've ever been to. First the service from Linda, she was great ! Super sweet and kind, great personality, and I never once saw her without a smile on her face. She definitely loves the craft and the business. Our chef was Omar. Man this guy is a magician ! The food was sooooooo good and soooo fresh. The rolls just melted in our mouths. I can't wait to go back and I heard they're opening other locations. But this is a GEMMMM !!!Prices don't reflect a swap shop sushi place. It's definitely like a real nice restaurant. But, the quality of food and the service matches a real sit down nice restaurant. The Sur sushi on fire roll … oh. My. Goooddddddddd ? Best roll thing I've ever had. It's a sushi burrito ! Mannnnn it was the best thing I've ever tasted. So good. Getting that again !The panorama roll, seaweed salad were delicious too !My girl had the salmon sashimi, so fresh. Melted in our mouths. The rice cakeeee !!! Incredible ! Fried rice patty with spicy tuna and avocado. Bro …. Bro …. So good. This is my new go to sushi spot!My ONLY complaint is they didn't have the prices listed. Ended up spending $80. Just unexpected is all. But for the quality of the food I'm not complaining at all. Would've just liked to know each rolls was $16Definitely going again!
