Walnut Tree Restaurant
382 S Lemon Ave A, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
Small fast food Chinese restaurant, they have been around for a long time . So for those looking for a more American style Chinese restaurant, this place is for you . Its a small place to grab something quick, and they have their frequent diners that come in and dine, and also do a whole lot of Togo orders . Overall never had a problem with this place, for the price and amount of food you get . We also order party trays from here .

Check your food before leaving. I ordered 5 plates of teriyaki, and chicken was undercooked. Asked the manager for a refund and Manager stated he could not give me back my money but would give me credit instead. I came back once to use part of my credit. Went back to use the rest of my credit and were denying me the rest of my credit. I showed the manager my receipt (when i used part of my credit) and the receipt for the 5 plates I returned. Manager stated I used all my credit and would not give me my remaining balance ($16.32) whats worse is that manager stated that I had to use all the store credit. The first time I went back (I didnt need to, I only needed 3 plates at the time) I took a photo of that receipt since I did not trust the manager updating the amount pending on his book so I took a photo of the receipt to have as evidence. I will go back later this week to speak with the manager as he was not here (denied my credit over the phone) this franchise lacks professionalism and cannot do something as simple as updating a customers store credit as promised. Make sure if your ever in the same situation as I went through, pop out your cell phone and record as they will change the story to not pay you back. Will update review once I get this matter resolved.

Xin Wang Food Inc

Its super salty. First of all, I made a note about the lack of salt when I placed the order. It was still salty when it came out! I told the waiter, but the waiter said it was my personal problem! I often go to restaurants to eat, and I have never encountered anything really salty, and I have never asked for less salt in other restaurants. Then the waiter said that the soup was already made and could not be changed. Later the landlady said it could be changed. Put a bowl of stock soup. But I communicated with the waiter several times, and the waiter said that it cannot be changed and the soup is ready. I also asked the waiter if I could put less salt in the original soup, but the waiter emphasized that it couldnt be changed. The original soup cannot be changed.........there is no communication at all. Later, the landlady added a big bowl of original soup to me so that it was no longer salty. But why do you keep telling me that the original soup cannot be changed... I am really confused. We communicated for a long time. Too much effort. I keep emphasizing that there is something wrong with my personal taste. There are more people in the store now than when it first opened, so thats it...
JingMommy ()
618 S Brea Canyon Rd Ste F, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
This is THE best service for postpartum meals. I worked with Patricia, who is fantastic and made sure I was well taken care of, and that my meals arrived on time.First, I want to thank Patricia, who was my contact and who sold me on Jing Mommy. I dont speak Chinese, but she answered all of my questions in detail, and assured me my breastmilk would come with these meals. I had some dietary adjustments I needed to make, and she listened and made sure the meals adhered to my needs, no problem. This service is extremely popular and so even though she was so busy, she made sure to get back to me by email, text or call, even late at night. I appreciated that, because most people go home and respond next day. Not Patricia! Because of her, I felt comfortable and landed on the right postpartum meal service that properly supported me through those harrowing newborn days and through my breastfeeding journey. If I am lucky to have another child, Patricia is who I am calling for my postpartum food needs. THANK YOU PATRICIA!Now for the food...I ordered this service during the height of COVID, as my family would not be able to come. But it was so worth it. In hindsight, even if my family was able to come, they would not have been able to source all of the proper herbs and organ meats that I read were good for a postpartum mama. This alone is what makes the food service worth it, they make it so easy to enjoy all the benefits of traditional chinese medicine/diet/confinement, I could relax knowing I was giving my newborn the right nourishment through breastmilk because I had all of the traditional goodies. I find the price very reasonable for not only the quantity, but all the herbs and ingredients that go into the dishes, I wouldnt even know where to start if I had to do it myself. The flavors were tasty yet mild enough for a new mom, which was great because I had read in various postpartum books across various cultures that new moms shouldnt consume crazy intense flavors during the newborn days. its about the nutrition and the quality of ingredients and certain herbs and fats and collagens, all of which were there with Jing Mommy. Even though the food had to come frozen as I live out of state, the flavors and quality were preserved, which was great. The best benefit? I didnt know if Id have a lot of breastmilk since my other family members usually have problems in this department, but MY GOODNESS, did my milk come in! It came in so much that I ended up donating and feeding 4 babies during my breastfeeding journey. Especially with the pandemic and supplies being short, I am SO thankful for this service helping me produce all of the good milk, as Patricia said it would do. Before I ordered, I was a little jealous of my friend back home who had parents preparing these kinds of meals from scratch for her, leading to a lot of breastmilk. I wished I had that. But this meal service did the exact same thing for me (and spared my mother), so I KNOW its the real deal. 10 STARS for this.Shipping was prompt to Las Vegas, the food came still frozen, unlike other foods services that have temperature or breakage issues in transit. I had no issues whatsoever with Jing Mommy each week, and the food heated up wonderfully. It did not taste like old leftovers at all, which was a concern for me. Impressive, as Ive tried many meal services. In short, Jing Mommy is THE best postpartum food service, in the middle of the pandemic they were still full speed to get myself and other new moms the right nutrition. I am forever grateful.
Chong Qing Mei Wei Szechuan Restaurant
5406 Walnut Ave suite c, Irvine, CA 92604, United States
I only like authentic Szechuan Chinese food unless Im eating dim sum, so Ive been looking for a good place for many years, and when I found this listing and the reviews said this place was great most of the time, I was excited to place a to-go order and drive 40 minutes round trip for a treat! NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.I guess they heard a voice without an accent and decided I didnt want the traditional spicy flavor, because what I received (picture shown) had something sort of resembling the proper flavor but with ZERO heat. I struggled to find one pepper flake in the whole thing.Adding insult, it was supposed to be ready in 10-15 minutes, and it took 40! For one dish!!!It also cost $15 for the one dish, and they werent even going to give me rice until I looked horrified.I definitely did not drive 40 minutes to wait around for my food, and then pay $15 for a $4.99 batch of Chinese Restaurant food. Never again.
Mr dragon noodle house
20657 Golden Springs Dr, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
Bright, Chinese restaurant with particularly yummy stir fried beef udon. I also split a beef rib noodle soup and spicy shrimp wontons with my dad. We were a bit overly ambitious with adding additional spice to the wontons - they’re plenty spicy on their own. The noodle soup had a nice kick as well. Food was brought out as it was ready. Credit cards accepted. Indoor dining was spacious. We came for a late lunch at 3pm on a Sunday but there were still people coming in. Free parking available. They speak both Mandarin and English.
MaLuBianBian HotPot Tustin
1056 Walnut Ave, Tustin, CA 92780, United States
It means a lot to me that the staff always speaks English to my girlfriend and I, even though she’s Chinese and I’m American. Many restaurants would choose to just speak directly to her and act as if I’m not there.MaLuBianBian always makes me feel included and their skewer hotpot also tastes amazing!
Fu Restaurant
20781 Amar Rd, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
I've ordered assorted fried rice noodles twice before.Because it was delicious, I ordered it again today. But what I brought today tastes weirdIt looks like its not fried thoroughly and the seasoning is uneven. Some are very salty and some have no taste at all. There are also a lot less mushrooms and the shrimps taste even more rustic.I suspect it was for quick meal preparation, so it was cooked very poorly.I hope we can control the quality againI was hungry all morning and finally managed to eat lunch. I was really angry to eat something like this?
