Thumbling

Thumbling, located in the heart of West Covina, California, is a newly opened Chinese restaurant that has quickly become a local favorite. The restaurant specializes in delicious and authentic Chinese dumplings, made using unique skills and cooking recipes that have been perfected by Main Chef Mr. Feng. The menu at Thumbling includes a variety of dumplings, including Xiao Long Bao, pan-fried dumplings, steamed dumplings, and wontons, all of which are freshly made by hand using only the freshest ingredients available. The skin of the xiao long bao is the closest thing to Din Tai Fung that youll ever taste, and the fillings for all the dumplings are delicious and perfectly balanced, just like the ones youll find at Din Tai Fung. One standout dish at Thumbling is the spicy wonton with pork and shrimp, which is an authentic and delicious dish that is similar in taste to the ones served at Din Tai Fung. The only dumpling that needs a bit of work to have the Din Tai Fung taste is the vegetarian dumpling, as the skin is not as firm as it should be, but its still a close second. But its not just the dumplings that make Thumbling special. Chef Mr. Feng is also skilled at cooking different Chinese cuisines, and the restaurant has been awarded for its authentic Chinese cuisine in the West Covina area. The story behind Thumbling is a heartwarming one after hearing it from their waitresses. Canaan Chinese Cuisine
2668 E Garvey Ave S, West Covina, CA 91791, United States
A friend shared with me about this Chinese restaurant in West Covina that Id been driving past for years and encouraged me to stop by and try it. He said it I ever wanted authentic Chinese food this is the place to go. I guess the name Canaan Chinese Cuisine didnt go together. But I figured if hed been there and loved it, I would try it.So I asked my husband one day if he wanted to try it for lunch. OMG! We were so pleasantly surprised. Our lunch was incredibly delicious. So I invited my girlfriend there for her birthday lunch and she absolutely loved the food and so did I.Then my daughter and I met there for a Mothers Day lunch and she selected and ordered all the food and WOW were we impressed. Everything was so good. She definitely wants to go back. In fact she ordered extra just to take home for her meal the next day.To get this type of food, we would always frequent Rancho Cucamonga, but now that weve discovered this place in our own backyard, who needs to leave West Covina?

OG Filipino Chinese restaurant. I always come here for the Taho and the Steam Buns also known as Siopao in the Philippines. They also have a good selection of lunch and breakfast items. Its a must visit if you are in the area.
Tian You Feng Dumpling House
1428 S Azusa Ave Ste A, West Covina, CA 91791, United States
Filled with eager anticipation, I headed to this Chinese restaurant and ordered their Flavored Beef Rice Noodle Soup and Xiaolongbao.Because I cant handle spicy food well, I intentionally opted for the non-spicy beef noodles, only to find out that they were still incredibly spicy! ?The beef was a bit tough and hard to chew. The Xiaolongbao differed from my memory.the restaurant didnt include ginger shreds. The Xiaolongbaos skin was thicker, and the filling surprisingly had a sweet taste. That’s my first time experiencing sweet Xiaolongbao and that completely shattered my preconceived notion of them.Notably, the restaurants service was exceptional:Incredibly friendly, always with a smile, checking on our dining experience regularly, and during the checkout, they even bowed at a 90-degree angle.Without a doubt, it was the best service Ive ever encountered at a restaurant in the US!Went to this Chinese restaurant with high expectationsOrdered their Flavored Beef Rice Noodle Soup and Xiao Long BaoSince I don’t like spicy food, I specially ordered non-spicy beef noodles. The result is still very spicy? The beef is a bit woody and toughXiaolongbao is not the same as the Xiaolongbao in my impression. The store didnt pay for ginger silkXiaolongbao has a thicker skinThe meat inside is sweetFirst time eating sweet xiaolongbaoIt really completely broke my impression of Xiao Long BaoIt is worth mentioning that the store’s service attitude: super good!Super friendly, always smiling when talking to guestsCome here from time to time to check on the dining situationWhen I checked out, I bowed 90 degrees. This is the restaurant with the best service I have ever had in the United States!
China Bowl Express & Young Hawaiian BBQ
1232 W Francisquito Ave, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
Food is good. Price is good. The inside looks like a typical Chinese restaurant. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful they will explain everything to you if you have questions. This place is in a strip mall with other places around it like Gonzalez market and DDs discount. I love coming for the orange chicken and barbecue pork. They also have a good Hawaiian BBQ menu. There is a lot of places to park and a lot of other places to go. I would recommend this to everyone whos hungry for some Chinese food
Hibachi Grill Buffet
1003 S Glendora Ave, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hibachi Grill Buffet for the first time during my aunts birthday celebration, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The variety of dishes available was impressive, catering to every palate in our group. From fresh sushi rolls to crispy spring rolls, each dish was more delicious than the last. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Mongolian BBQ. The ability to customize your dish with a variety of fresh ingredients and then watch it being expertly grilled right before your eyes added a personalized and entertaining touch to our meal. It was not only fun but also ensured that every bite was exactly to our liking. Our server was exceptionally attentive, refreshing our drinks efficiently and always ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Its rare to find such proactive and thoughtful service.Overall, Hibachi Grill Buffet provided a fantastic dining experience that made my aunts birthday even more special. Whether youre a fan of Asian cuisine or just looking for a place that offers a wide selection of quality food, Hibachi Grill Buffet should definitely be on your list. Five stars for an excellent meal and outstanding service!
Sheng Hui Dim Sum
2889 Valley Blvd J, West Covina, CA 91792, United States
If you are Chinese, don’t go there. The price is more expensive than the average market, the food is terrible, and there are no seats. The so-called 4.5 reviews are probably just fake; if you are a non-Chinese, DO NO GO THERE, VERY VERY BAD TESTING, AND MORE EXPENSIVE THEN AVERAGE MARKET, YOU CAN 100% FIND MUCH BETTER DIM SUM ELSEWHERE, SUCH AS DIM SUM BOX OR EVEN SOME OTHER CHINESE RESTAURANT!!
Panda Express
811 Plaza Dr, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
My wife and I looked forward to eating at Panda. We used to eat at their branch at Hacienda Heights. But we were at the mall, so we went to the food court. First, their food servings were smaller than usual. Seconds, they don't allow drink refills. Lastly, they did not have paper napkins. When my wife asked for the paper towels instead that was available, the woman server cannot but gave my wife torn pieces that were useless and gravely insulting. When I complained, she now suggested that we ask for napkins from the other food outlets. She was passing her problem to the customer. Only when I started to raise my voice did Steven, probably the manager, approached me. He apologized, gave me what the woman cannot, and promised to “talk” to her. I don't know if he would, but l also promised to give the a bad review. I was surprised that I was not the first or only one to give the place a bad review. I am very disappointed at Panda.
Miki House
2423 S Azusa Ave, West Covina, CA 91792, United States
Miki House is like walking into OLD MANILAs Ongpin Binondo district. The owners and servers exhibit the traditional honored hospitality of the hosts, and the food selections are heirloom good quality. This has been our 2nd visit, and the experience did not fail us. We slimmed down our choices to avoid leftovers (yet we still did, giving you the hint of big portions per order). We LOVE their LOMI, FRIED PORKCHOPS, LUMPIA SHANGHAI, and the SIOMAI. Next visit, I am targeting their TRADITIONAL KIKIAM and old-fashioned BEEF MAMI.
Panda Express
2260 S Azusa Ave suite d, West Covina, CA 91792, United States
Tonight was not a good experience. Picked up food but they charged me for rice, a few strands of noodles the entrees seemed to have switched places with the side dishes.Panda is not known for serving an abundance of food which is good for eating sensibly, but tonight I am so disappointed. Here we have a double order of orange chicken with noodles. Seriously?Noodle bowl with honey walnut shrimp. You can count the shrimp, again not expecting a pound but this seemed under the top as opposed to over the top. This is supposed to be a broccoli beef bowl with steamed rice. Again sensible i understand but this is ridiculous. When I saw the plates I actually looked at the server and asked: “where's the broccoli?” She smiled but said nothing. The person that appeared to be the manager heard me but did nothing as well.My family and I have been coming here for years, lately ordering delivery which seemed like the reason why the orders were light. ?Today was the last day I visit this Panda. Perhaps this is the universe suggesting we cook at home.
