Boat House
150 Starfish Way, Crescent City, CA 95531, United States
We, 4 people, came to this restaurant last night. Restratunt owner Justin came to our table and explained their menus. They only purchase local produces and freshly caught seafood from the fish boats. We ordered sashimi and combo of steamed seafoods with garlic butter, and a seafood fried rice. They are all very delicious. The seafoods are noticeable fresh. The waitress is very friendly and responsive. Justin, the chef and the owner, said he and another two chefs (and owners) just opened this restaurant one month ago. They are all about 30 ish old, full of passion and love Crescent city. All three are Chinese and are good at Chinese and Japanese style cooking. Justin recommended we come again tomorrow for fresh Salmon fish dish. So we came back again the next day. Justin cooked a very special Chinese dish called red chili fish head using a full Salmon top half with head. It was just delicious!! We had this kind of dish in Taiwan but with the carp fish head. Salmon fish head is our first experience and the taste is better than carp to me. He also cooked a Chinese style chicken dish with chicken from a local free range Chicken farm. Great taste too. We highly recommend this restaurant.

The only Asian supermarket in town, so glad that they have at least one with a variety of your favorite Asian items thatll remind you of home. anytime i feel homesick for some good food Ill come to this store to get ingredients. fresh veggies varies on who provides for them so try to get them when they arrive so theyll stay fresher. so glad that they have the veggies that Im looking for because you cant find those in any other supermarkets. items are affordable and can rack up but worth it. owners are very nice and friendly downside is that theres very limited and narrow parking so drive carefully when you arrive
Kin Khao Thai Eatery
1270 Front St ste c, Crescent City, CA 95531, United States
Kin Khao has expanded from its base as the best local Thai restaurant to offering sushi. Instead of taking the easy road (add California rolls to the Thai menu for delivery to your table) they invested in a sushi bar, sushi chefs, Japanese beers and a limited but very on point selection of sakes. If youre craving sushi but dreading the drive to Brookings, grab a spot at the Kin Khao sushi bar and let Denny and Mike take care of you. Dont miss the yellowtail or the escarole, and for sure order the ikura -- the marinade is done in house and its perfect.
Baimu Garden
1481 Northcrest Dr, Crescent City, CA 95531, United States
This may be the most authentic Chinese food you can find between Eureka, CA and Portland, OR. I ordered the beef tendon combination multiple times as I was in the area. The beef tendon is perfectly cooked, with tender slices of beef marinated in soy sauce, ginger, and five spice powder, complemented by fresh broccoli and perfectly cooked chow mein or fried rice. The unique, red-bean filled fried wontons were a great dessert to end the meal. If you’re looking for more authentic Chinese cuisine in Northern California, this is the place to go! I ordered takeout, and the takeout container is a reusable Japanese-style plastic bento box, which is a great alternative to styrofoam. For those that dine in, there is ample booth seating and even a pool table and karaoke stage for entertainment. The family that recently opened the restaurant is very friendly and hospitable. This is the best restaurant I’ve tried in Crescent City — highly recommended!
Lighthouse Cove RV Park
900 Sunset Cir, Crescent City, CA 95531, United States
Reviewed January 2022 and October 2023Scroll down for the 2023 reviewThe park was easy to find. It is located just off of highway 101. Signage is adequate. There is pavement all the way until you arrive at the park. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Our site, 25, was a nose in that was long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water and sewer and cable TV) were to the left side. Distancing is very reasonable for an urban park. There is no vegetation barriers or foliage to speak of other than grass, Each site has a table (in season) concrete patio, power (30/50) water, sewer and cable TV.. Our site was flat and even. Hardly an effort to level. Overall the park was clean and well manicured. The interior roads however, were atrocious! It is impossible to dodge potholes….wait, craters!!The included wifi worked very well with a log in password. We did find a few OTA TV. Satellite would not be a problem as there are no trees to hinder reception. The included Cable TV worked very well but with very few channel options. We did not use the washrooms or pay showers but we checked and found them clean. There is NOT a pathway to the beach that we found. One has to endure the hazards of stumbling down the broken concrete chunk barrier to get to the beach. Once over the obstacle course one can walk forever. We did note some trash along the shore line but not too much.Within walking distance (about a mile) are two seafood restaurants. Fisherman's and Crescent Seafood. Crescent was highly recommended by the Camp Host. We did not try either. There are many other dining options as well as most other services within an easy drive. We found this park to be a well run urban RV park (except the roads). We paid $50.00 for an ocean front site plus $1.00 for the dog and $5.05 Tax for a total of 56.05 per night and we feel we received very good value. We will be back if in the area again. Be advised, this is a very popular park in season so book ASAP.October 2023The park hasn't changed much since the two years we had been before. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are still fairly basic. The interior roads are gravel. Our site, P24, was a Nose In that was easily long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water, sewer and cable) were to the left side. Distancing is fair for an urban park. No site had a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a concrete patio, table but NO fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was\reasonably well maintained. The park included wifi was fairly strong. There is no cable TV nor did not find any OTA channels. Satellite would not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. There is a bicycle/walking trail that follows the beach and into town. There are restaurants within an easy walk and just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be a good layover. We paid $56.00 per night (inc tax and extra for the dog) and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again.
Toyama Sushi
389 M St #4118, Crescent City, CA 95531, United States
This was my first time eating here, after all the raving reviews I wanted to try it. I'm a sushi lover and I have a couple absolute favorites, but I'm not not a picky eater. I'm more like a Hoover vacuum.Anyway, the sushi was really good. I actually probably would have enjoyed it more if it had been what I ordered. I called in and asked them if they had what I wanted available. They had a similar roll for $13.95. I asked them to add jalapeño in it, add some sauce on top, and not put lemon slices on there. They said sure, it will be done in 30 minutes. Got there at 35 minutes. After I got there they acknowledged me, and said they were still working on it. Turns out that they were working on 5 others. I waited an additional 30 minutes. He finally comes over and charges my card, and it's $20.91... That's not including a drink or anything. The roll that's supposed to be $13.95 is $7 more? For adding jalapeños? BS. $16-$17 is acceptable.Continuing on, I just wanted my food at this point: and scrambled to get back to my hotel room so I can finally eat dinner at 8:30pm. Just to open the damn box and see that they never added the jalapeños that they charged me $7 for! I'm frustrated, defeated, furious. I would love to eat there again, but after the WORST customer service I've ever had. I probably won't, it would take less time for me to drive up to brookings. They had better sushi anyway. I felt like calling to complain, but I highly doubt they would do anything. After that I would honestly just like my money back. Or at least the $7 they overcharged me after waiting a total of 1hr 10min ??I'm fine if you mess up, but they messed up in all 3 areas of a restaurant business. And overcharging someone is stupid, but it's flat robbery if you don't even give me what I asked for ??♀️
