Stopped in randomly one day for lunch. Quick service, rolls were yummy. Not big signature rolls like some restaurants, but good. And a nice variety on the menu for other Japanese dishes.Be prepared to wait for dinner seating though. Always a long wait time in the evenings.

Okura HAD been our favorite restaurant to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, or just “date night”. I brought guests there numerous times. The food was always fresh, abundant and delicious. Last night, not so much. New menus reflected higher prices...that’s OK....but the quality was gone. Sushi rolls half their previous size, tempura that was over-cooked, etc. We couldn’t even find the shrimp, they were so small. I’ll go again, in case this was an “off” night. But if this becomes their modus operandi, I will find another Japanese restaurant as my go to choice.

First time being here at this location with my family and the food disappointed us all. The occlusion thing that was good was the steak and bulgogi meat. Unfortunately its not worth eating here and Im never coming back.We ordered chicken fried rice and it was mostly burnt with too many unknown burnt pieces. No flavor except the burnt smokiness.The steak and shrimp bowl had over cooked salty shrimp, vegetables were inconsistently cooked. The rice was ok but the star of that dish is the steak. It was so soft and a bit salty but still good.I ordered a pork bulgogi that came with rice onions and green onions.I didnt get the pork when I received my food and instead got the beef. I noticed it was swimming in so much oil that I got sick that same night. And to make matters worst was even though I got my food on a hot grill plate the meat was solid cold in the middle (keep in mind that its thin cut meat).The servers werent happy that we came an hour before closing and were rushing us to leave and gave us an attitude.

We love this Japanese food here in Misaki.This is the only habibi’s favorite the Volcano bake roll. The shumai is delish.Easy to find this restaurant around in La Quinta shopping center. They are following the cdc guidelines no worries to come and dine in this restaurant y’al safe. Its good to celebrate occasion with your family and friends... cheers!

Pokehana is an interesting higher end concept of making your own Japanese bowl a la carte. You pick your rice, protein, vegies, sauces, toppings, etc...all with strong Asian flavors so they all blend together exceptionally well. (Basically you cant go wrong regardless of your selections.)The ingredients were clearly fresh and perfect for a Sushi type bowl (I had the Salmon and Ahi tuna)...the rice spot on. The addons (edamame, garlic aioli, seaweed salad) also were absolutely delicious!The service was exceptional from an experienced, very pleasant and congenial hostess who provided her recommendations on what to try that I took, as I am prone to try what is recommended to me! (most of the time)While I probably couldnt have it every day, as looks are deceiving in that it is really a *lot* of food packed into one bowl, for an occasional change of pace for something unique and favorable...I would say to totally give it a try!

The restaurant is very small, clean, our order came out and looked delicious.. and it WAS... Downside...there was a horrible odor u can smell as u walk into be seated...but it gets worse as u get seated (which is very close to the kitchen & bathtooms)Unfortunately, my husband had to use the facilities and when he returned to our table, he told me of a nasty smell and mess in the restroom...maybe thats what we were smelling when we walked in?#1) Food was Excellent#2) Sanitation was extremely questionable#3) Lady at register..(possible owner) rude as all heck!!This spot is questionable...I guess we will see if we get sick....

Came here for dinner. Around 4p, not even busy. We walked in and they said we could sit anywhere and walked away from us. So we walked over to a table and sat ourselves. I went over to them and asked if the table we chose was OK and they said yes. Shortly after, we received our sides and we waited. No one came but they kept looking over at our table. A few mins later couple walks in & they get walked to their table and seated near us, we continue to wait and a few mins later ANOTHER couple walks in and they are also walked to their table and seated near us. The couple after us gets their order taken, and the other servers continue to look over at our table. The second couple then get their order taken. At that point we decide to leave. I go up to the hostess and tell her that 2 tables that got seated after us are getting their order taken and we havent even been helped. She doesnt even let me finish before she starts cutting me off and talking over me and repeatedly telling me I dont think the server is aware I realize shes not going to let me talk so I tell her were leaving. Ive never had a bad experience here before and this totally sounds made up. Like we were being ignored purposly but this experience is real! Im surprised because we really like this place and again, we have never had a bad experience here. I hope to go back but not anytime soon. There always busy so they wont miss us, I know. But its just sucks to be treated like that.

Ive now been here several times. Not the best but also not the worst in flavor and variety that Ive had. Fulfills my Ramen fix and being 2 hours from k Town in la, its not bad. Servers are usually very friendly. I should say server because I usually get the same girl but my last visit she was not there. The girl with all the cool t shirts is my usual but the last time, she was not there and it was one of the others.I dont really like sitting in the middle at the tables. I just feel like Im in a school cafeteria sitting there and its not exactly comfortable. The seats are wooden and not padded. I saw a booth open but it had dirty dishes on it from a previous guest. The girls werent doing anything and I guess no one wanted to clean it off because those dirty dishes were just sitting there. I specifically asked since it was the only booth open. The girl told me she would have to clean it. And rolled her eyes. Im sorry, I would just like to sit in a comfortable place while I spend money to eat. The only place I somewhat felt comfortable not in a booth was ironically right next to that booth and I kid you not, just after sitting, another guy came in by himself behind me and she cleaned the booth right off for him. I was like, you got to be kidding me. If that wasnt bad enough, there were these two girls with a few kids at one booth that had finished their food and were just hanging out. The kids were absolutely horribly behaved... running around screaming and talking back to their mom. Then another booth opened up right behind them and the girl cleaned it off right away. The kids started jumping all over that booth and the mothers did nothing. The servers also did nothing. They werent even eating. It was such a bad experience overall. This is where a manager needs to ask them to leave. The restaurant business can be tough sometimes and there will be times that you have to put your foot down and take the bad impression from one guest to appease the restaurant full of other guest because I could clearly see the other guests were unhappy with the commotion these girls were causing.Food was decent. Much better than other sushi places nearby that Ive tried but this place needs a manager to delegate problems. I was coming here once a week and everything is great when theres no problems but the minute there was, it left a really bad taste in my mouth, pun intended. Until they get some structure and a little discipline in the front of the house, Ill find other places to go to.
