Authentic Japanese food, sushi very flavorful and the sashimi tastes as fresh as possible this far inland. Had the miso soup, gyoza and seaweed salad today. All were a cut above the restaurants in Redding and chico. Great addition to red bluff and highly recommended for this area.

When I cant drive to Redding or chico, Im very happy to have the China Doll restaurant to go to. They serve both Chinese and Japanese food and its delicious.

Well first off, they guy who checked us in had messy hair basketball shorts on and no shoes, get checked in and went to my room, I hit my shin on the bar that sticking out of the bed. Then I noticed that the baseboard is falling off. Then I noticed that the toilet seats paint is coming off, then I noticed that there was feet prints on the wall in the bath room. And sunflower seeds in my nightstand. Went down to the office to pay for another night the next day and told him I did not want maid service. Well when I came back to the room from working a 12 hour shift I had noticed I had maid service and the maid took 4 of my terry clothes. And when I was down paying for the other night, he told me that j had to pay for the rest of my reservation. Which was from7/19 - 7/23 well I didnt know that he was going to charge me up front for the room, So I told him we will have to see what happens he then told me he cant keep holding my room. He was vary rude! I dont see why I cant pay day by day for my reservation! Its not like the hotel is out money. Its just been a bad experience here. I dont think I will ever stay here again. And if I do it will only be for one night and it will only be incase of an emergency situation. Oh forgot to add, that the bed that my husband and I were on was like sleeping on concrete with concrete pillows. Ugh.... and they really didnt have anything for breakfast either. Some of the pillowcases had stains on them along with the towels in the bathroom and some of the outlets dont work. Ugh its been a mess.

So I visited this establishment today for the first time . This is my honest review . I read so many one stars that I was hesitant to even try this place . I figured maybe most of the problem was the wait time as most reviews indicated . Well I was shocked we only waited maybe twenty minutes we were the fourth car in line . Ok so the food was about 8 to 10 bucks for a combo . Which consists of chow mein, rice and two meat choices one having to be sweet and sour pork or pay more to upgrade . They did make a mistake but corrected it fast . So the rice is pretty much just white rice with peas in it and nothing more maybe not even salt was included, as had no taste what so ever . Ok I can deal with that . Noodles had soy sauce and a few skinny pieces of cabbage but not much at all and a few onions maybe three or four at the most . No meat in rice or noodles at all . Ok the sweet and sour pork was very small and the sauces seemed very vinegary that and the orange chicken which the orange chicken was the worse I have ever tasted in all my life . So you do get a egg roll it it tastes wet and was half empty inside . So yes 10 bucks is cheap for lunch but if you go to a Chinese restaurant you get about the same for lunch rate and your rice and noodles have meat and veggies where there's do not . I did however give them two stars for clean establishment and friendliness. I would never recommend this place to anyone nor would I go again. I truly have to agree with the others no flavor at all .
