Spoon Korean Bistro
933 Ashby Ave, Berkeley, CA 94710, United States
Had a solid lunch here, not super authentic Korean but satisfying and a deal nonetheless.I ordered a beef bbq combo, which for $11 came with bulgogi, rice, salad, broccoli, and egg soup. The order came out quickly and cooked and it was a good quantity of food. The salad had some Asian style dressing, the rice had a little bit of furikake on top, and the bulgogi and broccoli banchan had a little bit of sesame seeds on top.The food quality was decent, although the bulgogi was slightly plain and a little cold. The banchan and sides were standard. The egg soup came out a bit later and was rough rather than the velvety texture that I prefer, and wasnt salted enough. It was a good stop to grab something quick before going into the heart of Berkeley. It has a very casual cafe ambiance with seating inside and outside. Theres only a few parking spots and a lot risk towing by a private company. If Im in a rush for Korean I might stop by, but would opt for more authentic places before coming back here.
Seoul Hotdog
2505 Hearst Ave D, Berkeley, CA 94709, United States
My friend who has gone to Seoul Hotdog several times has been telling me to go. I was in the area today and decided to try it! I was happy to find a spot right in front of the building. Ive never had a Korean Hotdog, so I asked the restaurant associate at the register for their opinion and she happily provided two suggestions. I was able to have my order ready in under 10 minutes. I was offered sugar to be coated on my hotdogs and I gladly accepted. The restaurant associate bagged them for me and I was on my way home which is in Walnut Creek. When I got home, my hotdogs were still very warm and I was able to enjoy them. They are so delicious and super filling. I finished one and saved the other one for later. I appreciate the variety of choices, price point, and overall customer service I received. I also want to mention that there are great safety precautions such as a barrier between cashier and customer, hand sanitizer, masks required for everyone inside the establishment, and space for social distancing. I will definitely be back!

Mr. Cupbob Korean Bistro
2126 Center St, Berkeley, CA 94704, United States
New nice spot near downtown berkeley for a quick fresh korean bowl (cupbop) meal! The restaurant is self serve and has a great amount of options. I got the japchae, purple rice, corn, carrots, kimchi and the spicy pork!! Very authentic korean flavor. It’s freshly grilled by the nice korean lady running the place. The kimchi flavor was fresh not too sour. All the veggies were pretty fresh. Sauces were good. I got the bimbop sauce not too spicy more gochujang flavor so a bit savory. It was very flavorful, I’m planning to come back and try their other meats!!Cupbob fighting!
Korean Kitchen Bop Shop x Vons Chicken x Sojumo
1823 Solano Ave, Berkeley, CA 94707, United States
Today I discovered a new chicken place to eat. I met some co-workers here. We are Zooming most days so it was nice to meet up. We sat outside and ate. BopShop Korean Kitchen is coupled with Vons Chicken which I was confused until I Googled the brand name and visited the website.I am a lover of Korean Fried Chicken and the Korean spices, chili peppers Gochujang(red chili paste), and Gochugaru (red pepper powder). I love kimchi also. I ordered a half order of spicy Yangnyum seasoned chicken. It was so good, so succulent, juicy, and very messy. I was using the chopsticks as skewers. I got Yangnyum juice on my face mask. I needed some wet wipes. All Vons chicken orders are served with a side of radish pickle and coleslaw. I plan on trying a few more dishes on my return trip.
Pyeong Chang Tofu Berkeley
1269 University Ave, Berkeley, CA 94702, United States
Best place ever. First Korean restaurant to open close to UC Berkeley campus that really reminds me of authentic Korean food. I recommend the dolsot bibimbap since it comes with tofu soup on the side even though it does not list it on the menu.
Kimchi Garden

A Korean restaurant that best suits Korean tastes around Berkeley. Just a great restaurant! The owner family runs the place and is very friendly.
KoJa Kitchen
2395 Telegraph Ave, Berkeley, CA 94704, United States
Neat little Korean/Japanese fusion restaurant. Fries look better than they actually tastes. A little pricy but good quantity. I could see myself craving this from time to time.
