Gangnam Tofu Korean Cuisine
11740 San Pablo Ave Suite C, El Cerrito, CA 94530, United States
I decided to try out Gangnam Tofu after hearing about how they just recently opened a Korean Restaurant in El Cerrito. Its a small place packed with BIG FLAVOR. The menu may look limited but there are a ton of yummy options everyone can enjoy! The portions are very generous as well. The popcorn chicken was massive. You can also choose your sauce for the popcorn chicken. The tofu soup was so good. Normally Im not a huge fan of soup but its so good. The rice bowls are delicious as well! My favorite would have to be the side dishes and the Gangnam Chicken with the special sauce its AMAZING!

A hidden gem in El Cerrito featuring household Korean foods. I came here looking for bean paste for a soup and tried some of the kimchi others were talking about. The kimchi they make here is exceptional. It is what I think about when Im eating lesser kimchi at Korean restaurants or other grocery stores. I will continue to buy it here. By the tub.

Yaoya-San
10566 San Pablo Ave, El Cerrito, CA 94530, United States
My favorite place to go for Japanese grocery (especially hot pot ingredients and eggs), bentos, onigiri, rolls/makimono, side dishes, various sweet and savory buns, breads, desserts, etc… and household items. I've been shopping here for about 15 years and am always amazed at the selection. Now that they took over the adjacent store space that used to be a Japanese dollar store, the shopping experience is even better with the wider aisles and modernized displays for refrigerated and frozen goods. The staff is friendly and helpful. Many are at least bilingual. I also love that most of the people at the register know how to pack the items efficiently into your bags taking weight distribution and whether an item is refrigerated/frozen or not into consideration (like they do in Japan). Lastly Moser Square where Yaoyasan is located has plenty of parking too.

Noodles Fresh El Cerrito CA.Chinese Cuisine
10042 San Pablo Ave, El Cerrito, CA 94530, United States
My family quite enjoys this place, and I got to go with them recently for my first time recently and I also enjoyed it. They have a good number of items that are vegetarian and can be made vegan, and also a good number of items that can be made gluten-free. There is a small subset of these that can be both vegan and gluten-free, which made me happy. One of these was the Vegetarian Stir-Fry Noodles, which I got. It was good, though, perhaps a bit bland. Maybe it was a misunderstanding with our server, because she said that the dish normally comes medium-spicy, and I said I was fine with medium-spicy, but there was zero spice to it at all, like they had omitted the chilis for some reason. Oh well ... nothing a little Sriracha (which they have) cant fix.Lots of options for noodle stir-frys, noodle soup bowls, and rice dishes. A little bit of something for everyone. Even a nice list of appetizers, too.Service was good, and our servers were attentive enough. I would come here again.

Best Burritos
10390 San Pablo Ave, El Cerrito, CA 94530, United States
If I could do a negative star I would. My experience with this shop was the worst i was really excited to try this place for the first time. The man at register was not wearing any gloves and handled the money and made my burritos. The first issue was he took the incorrect order and tried to charge my 71 dollars for 4 burritos. I asked for 2 burritos one chicken and one steak. I waited over 30 minutes to find out that my order was incorrect. I was standing right there when the same man placed my order on a self instead of directly to me where it sat for an additional 10 minutes. Dispute all the signs that we're telling me not to proceed with eating at this place I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt allowed them to fix the order and took my order home as the are “Best Burrito”. When I gave my wife her burrito it was a complete mess. The tortilla was completely wet and it was not because of sweat from the foil. It was a wet that had the tortilla breaking apart to the touch. The burrito was not even rolled completely it was completely loose. The actual contents of the burrito coming out. You would have thought we took the burrito apart to look inside. My wife and I were completely disgusted. I forced myself to eat half my burrito getting angry by the minute I spent 29.30 for two of the worse burritos in my life. My wife refused to eat the burrito and forced me to take her back to get at least the portion we paid for her burrito back. When we got there she was completely dismissed although she was polite and courteous to all the staff as soon as we walked in. They didn't even want to look at the burrito or say good morning. The same guy walked past her continued to do what he was doing and about 3 minutes of standing there finally looked at the burrito and explained that they way they roll their burritos is to use the foil to roll it and he demonstrated by balling the burrito tightly and rolling the same burrito within the tortilla. My wife told him that the burrito was completely inedible due to how wet the burrito was due to it not being rolled properly the tortilla was breaking apart to the touch. He asked what she wanted her money back? She said yes he threw the burrito at the trash open the register and gave her back 13 dollars. She said thank you and have a nice day. This was truly the most disappointed I have been with a food establishment in along time. To say the least we will not be going back

Wingstop
340 El Cerrito Plaza, El Cerrito, CA 94530, United States
This review is not for the business itself but for a certain employee, i order food from here every week and never had an issue. But last night I ordered online and came in well before closing time. As soon as I approached the register the employee Britney was automatically rude with a sour face, did not greet me or ask my name she waited for me to talk while she looked at me with a mean mug. I processed to brush attitude off because it was near closing time. I told her it was an online order, and just gave me a price without asking my name or anything about my order. I assumed the amount was fine. My total was about 18$ and i had a 50$ bill. She claims to say she has no change to give me in her register, i then saw a register behind her with 20$ and 5$ so i asked her if she can change the bill for me so i can give her something smaller. She then says she cannot take money out of someone else's register, THAT MAKES NO SENSE. Finally she calls over the manger, and she approves it, then this young lady takes out the change from her drawer. THE SAME MONEY SHE CLAIMED SHE DID NOT HAVE. i would prefer for her to simply say she did not want to serve me. After i paid and she threw the change on the counter when i had my hand extended to grab my change, she kept mumbling very rude and mean comments of the customers in the store, then graba her drawer for the register and throws it on the table behind her. This was the WORST experience ever. I will not go but food here again with people like that working there. Disgusting service
