Asiana Korean Food & Restaurant
90 E Magill Ave, Fresno, CA 93710, United States
The best and most authentic Korean restaurant in Fresno so far. The food was good. The cooks can speak Korean and Mandarin. There is also a little store next to the dining area. Theres not much to see, but I did find a rare brand of milk tea that I have only been able to find in mainland China.

Shila Korean BBQ

Before I write this review, I have to pray to let go of my anger. After visiting Yosemite, I drove for about three hours before visiting this Korean BBQ restaurant in Fresno. I dont know who wrote the reviews on Google, but the review score of 4.0 is far wrong. My honest feelings after visiting this restaurant is that it is not qualified in all aspects, including service and food-level consumer attitude, and to put it more bluntly, the health agency should immediately conduct an on-site audit and order it to be suspended. As you can see from the picture I attached, it is a restaurant with no quality and management of meat, and the attitude of the employees at work is also the lowest. This is a reminder to everyone who visits Fresno. I hope you never go to this restaurant. I dont know how long this restaurant will stay open, but at least all my acquaintances will never visit. I couldnt eat the food I ordered. Because I felt like I would get food poisoning when I ate meat and prepared side dishes from this restaurant. My review of this restaurant is the first time in my life that I want to give a minus. Asking to google to reevaluate this store seriously.I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL PERIOD!

Rock & Noodles

The waitress gave us the wrong order. We ordered 2 jajamyuns and she heard 2 bulgogi and she handed us 2 plates of bulgogi. We told her POLITELY that those were not our orders and the bulgogis come with salads so she grabbed both our forks off the plates and put it on the table. Then she continued to give us such bad remarks that we ordered wrong and we were the one who said it wrong. We went there for one thing. We wouldnt order what we didnt come for. And then she brought our food and continued to give us attitude that WE ordered wrong. Then she later came ND said ou card didnt go through. Its a debit card?! Like what?! Ok.... Jesus. Not worth the attitude. Just ruined our appetite and everything.

Refreshingly Korean. This is now my go-to korean restaurant that satisfies that craving along with Asiana Restaurant. We went for lunch and we ordered the chicken katsu miso salad app, LA galbi/beef tofu soup combo, and galbi tang. The chicken katsu was good but it could have been better as it was a bit thin but still juicy and the miso salad dressing was just okay though a bit bland. I wish it was a thick pork katsu with the works. The LA galbi was good and the marinade was tasty but being served on a sizzling platter it would have benefitted from being charred/grilled. Asiana does a better galbi. The beef tofu soup was very good and done with a bit more depth than usual and a sesame touch. We got mild but mild really is mild and we shouldve gotten medium or hot. Finally, the galbi tang was excellent. It came with 3 large ribs, rectangle glass noodles (my favorite), and garnished with scallions. The meat on the ribs were cooked to perfection and was SO SOFT with all of them including the joint parts which have all the yummy chewy collagen parts as well. The broth had a very clean depth yet satisfyingly fatty. It was exactly what you want with a galbi tang and Ive had a lot my entire life. Most places make it bland or there isnt enough meat or the meat is overcooked but I was really impressed and thoroughly enjoyed it all and felt like I was back in LA or OC. I highly recommend coming back for the tofu soups and tangs. It is very nice to finally have a great korean restaurant here in fresno. I hate saying cheesy stuff like this but as a Korean, I approve and will be a perfect korean lunch spot.

I live nearby and this is my favorite small restaurant to go to even though this restaurant is not a classy restaurant but budget wise, healthwise the food here is very excellent! I always order their beef korean bbq with rice and with fresh cooked crunchy broccoli in it and also the salmon with rice and broccoli! The chicken noodle soup also has broccoli and other veggies in it! They all taste very good! The couples here are very fast; hardworking, very friendly and are always busy but they manage to serve all their customers! I would say whoever cook the food here is very talented for cooking delicious food and very fast! The prices here are affordable too and serve you enough food! Thank you very much! Buying take out food here is worth it! If you dont want to wait in line for a take out order just call ahead... That’s what I always do!

Honestly, the service was Freaken amazing! ? lots of help since I have a 1 year old that makes a mess. The waiter was verry nice and helpful as well, shoot. Ill just come back for the service alone. The atmosphere is a bit misleading because it used to be a Boba hangout spot, and it still sorta gives off that vibe, but it has a vietmese style of a pho restaurant. I still enjoyed it. Also, the robot ? that brings us food is most definitely amazing! For sure, Im going to make a video of it and post it up as a reel for views for the restaurant.Okay, time for the food part.We ordered the beef pho (the biggest one they had). btw it was pretty big, not gigantic, but it was a good size for a hungry person who eats a lot. Comes with lots of beef and also a beef rib with some meat on it, and I love the new style. Also, the broth was on the better side of pho that I love. For sure, the pho was cooked for quite some time, then served. NOT like some other places where they just refill the pho broth with water and serve it.Eggrolls were decent, nothing fancy, not super crunchy and / or crispy, just eggrolls. The rice plate was probably the more disappointing out of all the food we ordered. The presentation looks great and the smell was great as well. But the taste of the short ribs were a bit too ashy, like they were next to the charcoal and caught a bit of the ash and made it taste a bit funny... other than that, I wish they also sold the deep-fried pork belly. ( fyi if they did and I didnt see it, I apologize)Last but not least was the vietmese sandwich. It was right in all the right places.Has a nice good crunch to the crust of the bread, which is a must. The meat with the veggies that compliment it was perfect, the only thing I believe we didnt get was the jalapeño that sometimes they put into the sandwich for that extra kick. Thats it.Overall we will come back for food, my family enjoyed it and will come back for more and cant wait to try more on the menu!Thank you

The Meat Market
454 W Alluvial Ave, Fresno, CA 93650, United States
While their tri-tip sandwiches and side salads are good, staff inside the market could be more willing to help. I asked for a pound of flank steak and they only had it available in a size that was three times more than I needed and way more than I was willing to pay. I asked if they had any more they hadnt wrapped yet so I could get a smaller quantity and they told me that they have to sell it like that. Felt more like they wouldnt sell it in a smaller quantity. One of the butchers said he could cut open the pack and do a one pound portion (what I needed) and then rewrap the rest of it for me to take home and freeze for later. I didnt want or need that much and then asked if he could sell me the smaller portion. He repeated that they have to sell it that way even though they could clearly open the package, cut the meat into different portions, and reseal for other purposes. It was only frustrating because they sell other cuts of meat by the pound, but not this one. I didnt want to freeze the meat because doing so takes away from its integrity of texture and flavor and I also felt like they could easily sell the rest of it and I would be willing to pay a little extra to get it rewrapped. If it were something like a t-bone steak, I could understand not being able to cut a slice out of it, but for a long and forgiving cut like flank steak, it should be fine as people will most likely cut it into pieces anyways. Sorry to complain, just sharing my experience.

Tsuchiya Ramen
736 W Bullard Ave, Fresno, CA 93704, United States
Back in Fresno; meaning: back to trying a new Ramen shop. This place was the nearest to me after an earlier errand, so I decided to give it a shot. The ambiance was casual and typical for a Japanese establishment. I happened to be the only patron at the time so there wasnt much of a wait time, considering there was only one server. The prices seemed to be a little much for a smaller establishment, but I wasnt too picky at the time. I got a Make your own Ramen option with a side of Gyoza and was given chopsticks for both; needless to say, I asked for a fork. The food was good but average and some of the toppings had a different look than how it was advertised, but still good regardless. It was about halfway through my meal when more patrons started to show up, but my server was still attentive to me when needed. The problem came when I had to pay: I was charged an extra fee for using a credit card even though it was authorized as a DEBIT. When asked to change it, the server refused and when I tried to ask for a copy of the receipt, he took forever to come around again and when he did, he didnt seem to understand what I was asking. He finally did, but ended up giving me the original receipt without the charges. Again I asked for my charged receipt, but he seemed to ignore me and attended to the other patrons, which was starting to get slightly more busy. Overall this place is a definite 3/5, mostly due to the end service.
