Seoul BBQ Restaurant
2139 Foothill Blvd, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
Some premium menu items can be expensive but regular meats like bulgogi, pork belly are reasonably priced. If not busy, they will happily grill meats for you. Number of side dishes is okay for a Korean restaurant. Decent Korean BBQ place outside of K-town LA. This is a tiny restaurant so be prepared to wait in line during busy time.

Hello Pizza & Party Coordinator (, & )
2261 Foothill Blvd, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
Hello Pizza,My home away from home. I can come here with my two kids and be completely comfortable knowing that we can have a great meal and enjoy it while not being judged for being to loud or bringing kids out in public. The food is great! the staff terrific! when we go out for pizza we always come here. The pizza is definitely different. Its a fusion style pizza but to me it seems healthier than Pizza Hut, Round Table and other generic pizza stores. It does get loud with the kids sometimes, but if you really dont mind kids being kids then it is a great sit down place. If the noise is too much then enjoy a to go.The owner is always very sincere and fair to not just his customers but to his employees as well and he takes care in each pizza he makes. What I love about his pizza shop is that he is always trying new things here and there and will sometimes even send it out gratis for us to try and review. My diabetic father can eat here, they used to have wheat dough but sadly have gotten rid of it due to un popular demand. Wish they would bring it back though. If youre tired of the same old pizzas then go give this place a try and if you dont mind the kids or have kids and dont want to feel stressed or judged while eating out. Then sit in and enjoy top notch service that you will NOT get from any other place.Plus they got sports playing all the time on two different TVs so its great to be able to watch the game while still being out with family. The only thing I dont really like, and this is a personal thing, is the toy vending machines. It makes the whole place look tacky. Without that junk in the corner I think their place would be that much nicer and more inviting. Heck they can probably make room for more tables. :) Oh and maybe get proper frames for the awesome pictures they have on the walls make it look nicer. haha. again just personal opinion. But otherwise. Fantastic place and I hope they grow and stay here for a long time.

Yelp reviews arent everything. I walked into the most unfriendly environment. They literally just stared at me. They didnt greet me or offer any help. They just went back to what they were doing as if I wasnt even there. They spoke in Korean and when I asked who to speak with they all just looked around as if to say, not me. One of them, Jin, finally came over and spoke in mumbles and literally avoided eye contact the entire time.I came in to inquire about lessons, cases, and repairs. I live in the neighborhood and always say Im going to go in plus, the reviews are great. But Im guessing not many Black people have gone in here because clearly, I wasnt welcome. Then, Jin began walking away from me as I was speaking to him. He just ended the conversation. One guy came from the back and greeted me with a friendly hi and a smile. Thank goodness for him. A sigh of relief for a brief second. But that was it. There was an older gentleman who was being helped, a lesson maybe, who was just as unfriendly as the staff.Needless to say, I will not be coming here again. The fear and disrespect was uncanny. I hate when race and gender play a role in how youre treated. And this, clearly played a role. I was friendly and presentable and literally was treated like trash. I smiled, they looked away. I spoke, they walked away. I inquired and Jin responded in one word answers. Im from a small town and prefer small Mom and Pop places like this one. But wow.Nope. Ill take my business elsewhere.
Sakana Sushi & Grill
2383 Foothill Blvd, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
I recommend it. Chirashi ball!!! - This is where I went for a lunch date with an acquaintance. Even though it was lunch time on a Monday, it was full. The price is reasonable compared to the food. This is a place I definitely want to go back to with my family. This is high-quality Japanese food. I think its better than the Kabuki I know. It tastes good too.The Monday special is that if you order one roll and a drink, you get one free roll. I had the eel rice bowl, but there wasnt enough eel compared to the amount of rice. There was no fishy taste of the eel and it was cooked well. The rice was cooked really well. Miso is also delicious. The bass was a little different. The baked salmon roll was better than any sushi restaurant roll. The amount of sauce is just right and not too sweet. The salmons doneness is also good. The size of the roll is just right to eat. Its simple, but it looks like a lot of care was put into it.Lunchtime parking may be a bit tight. Go a little early for lunch. Street parking is available. There is no valet. The service was also very good. Very friendly. 3-4 servers take turns serving all tables at any given time. Everyone seems to have a lot of experience. They are well trained.I dont enjoy sushi, but it reminds me of the rolls, so Im thinking of going again on Monday. I would like to try all the different rolls. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys sushi. The table is a bit small. For a table of 4, even though each person received one order, there was not enough space to place water and plates. Be careful not to touch the table next to you when carrying it from your seat. For your information, an accident involving spilling water in a cup occurred at the table next to us.Im just happy that there is a restaurant like this nearby. So I recommended it to a lot of my friends.
Boba Boba - La Caada
965 Foothill Blvd Suite A2, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
3.5 Real Score -- Ive been here a few times mainly because its close by, and overall I would rate this place as a good boba spot, but not spectacular and not necessarily high quality. Being in the San Gabriel Valley, we are spoiled by tons of amazing Boba shops and this one will definitely hit the spot for the local crowd. This saves a trip all the way down into Alhambra or San Gabriel or even Old Town Pasadena, but most of those places would beat this spot on flavor, quality of tea, and texture of boba. Dont get me wrong, Im still going to come here because its only like 2 miles from my house and its still is a satisfying drink. But if Im willing to venture out a few minutes more when theres no traffic, I will definitely hit up my regular places in the areas I mentioned above.
Chicken Day
2383 Foothill Blvd Ste D, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
Keep calm and eat fried chicken. Without further ado let’s begin this review. Chicken Day is a korean owned chicken restaurant. They’re located at a tiny plaza on Foothill blvd in La Cañada. Indoor vibe and layout/design were banal but don’t let the at fool you because they serve good fried chicken. I’ve been to their new SGV location and therefore I know their fried chicken is great. I ordered their Lunch combo #2 (4 drumsticks, steam rice, coleslaw and soda). It was as tasty, crunchy and deliciously flavorful. Prices were very competitive. Parking lot is very limited but had no trouble finding a spot. Staff (a young man and a middle aged woman) were amiable, competent and professional. However, my memory serves me correctly they failed to follow health covid (mask) protocol. Service was mildly slow. Serving was average. Overall, I had a smooth lunch order take out. I still recommend this chicken place.
KOKO ROLL Cafe
2265 Foothill Blvd, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
Fruit açaí bowl is ubiquitous and you know what a good bowl when you see/taste it. Koko Roll Café is a small café that serve poke bowl, acai, sushi and milk teas. They're located in a midsize plaza on Foothill blvd in La Cresenta. I came here for an açaí bowl for lunch. Its indoor was small but spacious enough for a dine-in. Moreover, it's neat, clean, organized and well lit. Upon my entry, Asia, a young white female staff, gave a perfunctory greeting. It was my first time here and I sensed a negative vibe. I quickly perused their menu and ordered an açaí fruit bowl. Customers need to check and write down your order on the little menu white board (bowl, poke, sushi) provided. The açaí fruit bowl was mediocre because the acai base was too frozen like a marble. Thus, I had to exert a relative good force to get a piece. Bolocks! Conversely, the fruits (strawberry, blueberry, banana) and granola were fresh and delicious and crunchy, respectively. Clearly, they have not mastered how to make a good-great açaí bowl. Prices seem fair. Free wifi available. Staff was cordial and followed health protocol. Finding a parking spot was with ease. In this voluminous review, it's time to make a recommendation. Overall, I did not enjoy my açaí bowl and I do not recommend this café shop.
