Flame Broiler
1599 W Redlands Blvd, Redlands, CA 92373, United States
Ahh yes, the simple yet healthy and tasty things in life!! That is the flame broiler! The first time I had their chicken bowl my wife picked one up for me. Believe it or not I thought it was steak - not chicken, it was that good! My wife and I love to go there once a week as our new place to dine since covid has made going out to dinner impossible. I dont mean to imply that you can sit down and eat there - we take the food home and enjoy!NOTE: since both of us really enjoy the chicken bowl, with veggies and onions and brown rice, we go on the weekend and purchase the four bowls for $20 special. I cant always finish one bowl in one sitting so sometimes these four bowls turn into eight meals! So we love the extra value of buying for at a time, and that offer so far, is only on the weekends. Not only are they great tasting but good for you as well. The service is great also!

Pleasant Korean Sushi Bar & Restaurant, very friendly staff, but lacking many items we enjoy from Japanese owned restaurants, still our sushi was good quality and we enjoyed it.

Rok N Fondue
25 E State St, Redlands, CA 92373, United States
Atmosphere is phenomenal. Very cozy, warm, feeling and they got live music (nice smooth musicans) that creates a relaxing mood. The drinks are great amazing bartenders.3 stars because the food is not as great and overpriced for what you get. The sliced ribeye for the Fondue, I recommend going to an all-you-can-eat Korean bbq quality of meat is better/equivalent and not as scarce. The meats on the rock, the texture is amazing soft...but definitely would recommend putting some seasoning etc. Steaks at countless other restaurants got more flavor. I dont mind paying up to 75$ for a good steak but this was overpriced for what it was and what they offer.Once again, the atmosphere and drinks are amazing!

Entering this place for the first time my expectations were not high. I would have preferred to go to a Chinese buffet or in-n-out, but it was a friend’s birthday and thus I was forced to go to some random foreign restaurant when there is a perfectly good Subway next door. Thats what i get for being friends with a bunch of koreans i guess... Anyways, I ordered a tasty sounding chicken plate lunch special.Moments later Bianca brought me a bowl of the soup of the day. Some vegetable concoction they called lentil soup. Once the steam settled I tried a spoonful... my taste buds have never tasted such culinary mastery! It was like my mouth became a portal to another dimension, my taste buds met with a council of omniscient beings, and after learning the mysteries of the universe were transported back to my mouth. Such flavor, such smells, words cannot describe.A few minutes later my meal arrived. If the mere soup-of-the-day was so astounding, so breath-taking, just try to comprehend what the main course entailed. The only way i can rationalize it is by assuming these chickens were raise on the top of a mountain by a 10,000 year old sacred order of monks. And fed only the perfect blend of spices while given daily massages. Such flavors, such textures my mind can hardly comprehend. It brings me to tears. The memory seems almost as a dream, like it was too good to be true. I was in a daze, questioning reality, questioning everything I thought I knew about the very fabric of this world. My mind was opened, I have received enlightenment.Since that day I have become somewhat of a regular. As a struggling Grad student Adong has become my sanctuary. Upon entering there is no school, there are no problems. For that short period of time I am in perfect bliss, every time surprised by grandeur of plate presented before me.Great prices, variety, fast service, the best food known to mankind.

Ive been wanting to come here for a while and I finally did today. I think the closest thing to compare this to would be Daves Hot Chicken and so thats actually what Im going to do.Service and Price:I have nothing bad to say about the service because it was pretty straightforward, I went in and ordered my food and they gave it to me quickly and that was that no problem. I ordered the two tender meal with a drink and it came out to be a little bit more than $16. In comparison, Daves Hot Chicken for the two tender is a little over $14. Im assuming because this is a small chain or maybe even just a single storefront operation they have higher overall costs, but I still dont think it excuses the high price point. Almost $20 for two chicken tenders is just a bit much even in our overly inflated economy.Environment:Definitely nothing to write home about, just a few tables on the inside and really plain Decor nothing special about this place. I just chose to eat outside in the public area instead.Food:I ordered the mild spice chicken tenders and the flavor profile on the spice was actually quite nice. It had quite a bit of spice even for mild and also this hint of sweetness that I really enjoyed, but the chicken itself was not great. The breading was hard and the chicken was dry. I added the spicy cue sauce and that helped a little bit with the dryness, but overall it was definitely lacking. Daves Hot Chicken is always soft and tender chicken with a slightly crispy breading. It could have just been the cook over frying things today, but because this is the experience I have Im going to say it how it is. Additionally it shows waffle fries on their menu, but I got shoe string fries that were again overcooked and even seemed a little old. No seasoning on the fries whatsoever and just a really pathetic sample. I took a picture of them and posted those here.Obviously the main reason to eat anywhere is to eat and the star of the show was definitely a d rated actor. Pretty disappointed and wont be coming back here again.

Yoshinoya Redlands

Weve been going to Yo for many years so its pretty clear to us that the quality has taken a serious hit. We understand that getting good help is pretty tough these days, but this goes beyond this as weve watched the quality of the prepared meals decline on a consistently declining slope over the last year. As we always do, we ordered 3 combo meals. They were served practically dry -Maybe a couple of tablespoons of sauce for the entire meal. The rice was also dry. The veggies, what there were of them, were not only practically missing compared to only 6-8 months ago, but were badly overcooked. The teriyaki chicken was over-cooked, not tender and juicy like its always been up until now, and the orange chicken pieces were more like overcooked chicken tenders dipped in some orange sauce - very similar, but not quite as good as the bag of orange chicken you can buy from the freezer at Smart&Final. To top it off, when you order from the app you can no longer ask for extra sauce, only request No Sauce(!) If you want enough sauce to actually help make the meal taste the way its supposed to, you know, like teriyaki, youll have to pony up $ for a little, bitty cup of it about the size of a dipping serving at McDonalds. Weve started taking a bottle of our own teriyaki sauce with us in anticipation of Yos new recipe. Oh! Not too forget, the original beef thats comes with the classic combo meal is much lower in quality than it used to be - a LOT more fatty than in the past. We no longer order it.To be fair, the front-end employees are always very friendly and accommodating, but whoever is setting the policy for the actual meal preparation and QC, whether it be at the corporate level or the local franchisee... Well, if we do ever go back itll probably be a while. Weve stopped going as often as we used to for all the reasons and this last time on Aug 8 just put a cap on it for us. Our discretionary $$ spending for restaurants of all types is undergoing a massive downsizing so when we do decide to go somewhere you can bet were going to be a lot more descriminating in our choices.

Shiki Sushi Sportsbar Redlands
27461 San Bernardino Ave #190, Redlands, CA 92374, United States
First off I want to say this place is freaking amazing!! This is a triple threat! This is not a typical sushi spot. It is a sports bar where you can order great food have a drink and eat at the bar. If thats not your setting they have bambo which separates the bar and booths Th at can easily sit 4 to 6 people at a booth for a more private setting. They also have a BBQ area where you can sit around an open flat grill and have someone cook for you!! Its like a sushi spot/sports bar/ and benihana in 1 spot!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I love eating foods that are low carb without giving up flavor. This place doesnt have a variety of riceless rolls, which bumbed me out at first. Except when I asked my waitress SA she informed me that they would make any roll I wanted wrapped in fresh cucumber! I got So excited!! I ordered a roll stuffed with spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, wrapped in fresh cucumber topped with fresh slices of cooked shrimp, and Avacado. It was drizzled with spicy mayo and eel sauce. So delicious!! The cucumber was cold fresh and crisp. The shrimp on top of my roll was so good and super fresh! I ordered the best calamari I think I have ever eaten. This was lightly breaded and fried it was topped with diced green onion and thin slices of white onion. In the bottom of the bowl they had a pon-u sauce (I hope I spelled that right) that had a taste of salt and vinegar type zing! Dont know if I can describe it better. Hands down the best!! I would go back just for the calamari by itself. My roll and appetizer was around 32 bucks. Its definantly a date night spot if you want great food! Its also a great spot to meet up with a friend watch a game on TV and catch up. Its a great spot to eat full of entertainment with a chef cooking for you and your family. Food is hands down amazing! The enviornment is none Ive ever experienced before. My new favorite spot!!! A MUST TRY!

Sosogu Ramen & Japanese BBQ
360 Orange St, Redlands, CA 92374, United States
Moving back to the states after spending 4 years in Japan Ive been looking to scratch an itch. Getting ramen after spending time in Japan has until now been a rather disappointing experience. Most people have no idea what good ramen even is.The most important part of a good tonkatsu ramen is the broth it must be thick, creamy, and coat your mouth with the consummated pork fat that is full of flavor. They got it, I could complain about it just not being the same as the ramen in Japan or not fully authentic but that honestly doesnt matter its delicious and checks all my boxes for a good tonkatsu broth. The noodles were good, I saw a review before coming here comparing them to spaghetti noodles and Im not sure what kind of spaghetti noodles this person is eating because these are very obviously an egg based noodle and not a spaghetti noodles by any sense. The chasu was delicious its kind of hard to mess up pork belly but Ive seen it done. Overall I have no complaints about my ramen after being consistently disappointed trying to find some half decent tonkatsu ramen on this side of the Pacific.I had a chasu bao as well it wasnt a traditional bao by any means and was served like a taco but that was also phenomenal and tasted delicious. The service was quick easy and friendly. The food got to us quickly and the whole place was clean with a slick hip vibe. Looks like they have yakiniku here as well and judging by the quality of their other food Im sure it doesnt disappoint. I would love to come back but unfortunately I live up north. The photos of the ramen may not look the most pretty because I decided to take a photo after we started eating. On the left is the garlic shrimp ramen and on the right is the black garlic ramen. There is also a photo of the chasu bao.

Panda Bowl
1213 Wabash Ave, Redlands, CA 92374, United States
It's not the same anymore. When I was younger & living in Mentone, this was by far the best local Chinese food place. As years went on & we had to move out of the area, we still decided to make a lengthy trip to eat here again every so often. However, a little before & after the COVID-19 pandemic, their quality of food & service started to decline. To start, their chicken & pork is not always fresh due to it's stiffness & old taste after eating it. They either leave the meat to sit there for a couple of days or mix the new freshly cooked meat with the old meat. It seems as if now the workers have become lazy & just don't care but still want to charge expensive prices. On top of that, the older staff themselves have became more rude, hostile, & mumble when you communicate with them. Years ago, there was this cheerful & younger woman working there but she seems to no longer be staffed. After giving this place another try, my family & I have decided that it's not worth our time or money anymore. I really dislike throwing out food, especially with how ridiculously expensive everything is right now, but we just had to chuck our unfinished plates into the trash bin. Hopefully one day, we'll find some alternative Chinese food place that this once was.
