Corner Grille Woodland Hills Korean Fusion
21853 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
We order delivery from here at least once a week. This is our favorite new neighborhood restaurant. We order the Korean bbq ribs and the Korean bbq pork. Each dish comes with white rice and a side salad with a delicious creamy dressing. We love this place!

Everything we had here has been fresh, authentic, delicious, and served with kind and helpful service. Not just another pho place in the valley... really excellent authentic Vietnamese food!We order the beef luc lac and Mi which came out more amazing than we expected. The beef was so tender because it was filet mignon to pair with rice and lettuce was heaven on earth. The Mi came with the house special sauce was so fresh and good portion of proteinThe decor of the restaurant was modern, cozy and immaculate. Service was attentive and quick. Their drink selection was amazing with refreshing choices. The parking was ample which is located in a big plaza between Ralphs and Sprout supermarketsWe havent had this amazing experience coming to other Vietnamese restaurants in the valley as this one. We would definitely come to back to try the Korean short rib as we saw was a huge pile of meat on an order next to our tableWhat more can we say as this will be our favorite restaurant which is conveniently located right off 101 Topanga exit. We highly recommend to anyone
Jims Fallbrook Market
5947 Fallbrook Ave, Woodland Hills, CA 91367, United States
What can I say! I am behold disappointed in Jim's. I called in to place an order for pick up 5 days later. I wanted 4 14oz steaks ?. Shouldn't be difficult right. Wrong! When I arrived 5 days later to pick up my order, the young man at the counter asked how can he help me I told him I was her to pick up my order. He asked me for my name and said he would be right back. 5-7 min later he comes back and asked me again what it was that I ordered. I told him again 4 14oz fillet steaks. At this point he said okay and then left for about 10 more min. Mind you I don't mind waiting it's the holidays I get it we are all busy. He came back and said here is your order.Seems to have went okay! After a little more shopping I went home and started to get things prepared to marinate the steaks over night. This is where I lost ? it! After unpacking the steaks i come to notes none of the steaks were cut evenly to the 14oz weight I had given. See images. Not to mention after I noticed the huge difference. I weighted it myself and only had 2.9 lbs well 4 14oz steaks should come out to a total of 3.5lbs. So at this point my steaks are not the same weight and are in trimmed. A filet mignon steak should always be trimmed. All in All I was probably better off going to smart and final or a food for less with this quality that I was given.Looking back they obviously never placed my order or overlooked it or who knows. The young man never apologized for my order not being fulfilled, or apologizing for waiting. After all of the waiting, he had handed me the order, as if it was already packaged and was waiting for pick up, which clearly was not the case. While I was waiting, I could see him talking to the other workers, and was in the back on one of cutting boards so so it's pretty obvious he was preparing my order right then and there. It was bad service and even worse quality! I don't care how much something cost as long as I get what I asked for and in this case nothing matches what I asked for.Never ever again will I go back to Jim's
The Boiling Crab
23397 Mulholland Dr, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
I loved the sha bang shrimp. It was so good, Im salivating while writing this review thinking about it. The shrimp had so much flavour and was cooked to perfection. The sweet corn had soaked up all the flavour from the sha-bang sauce and it was simply delicious. I was thrilled to try this as we dont have a lot of restaurants like this in Vancouver. The reasons for the bad review:1.The dungeness crab(frozen). The meat was old and dry. It tasted really bad. And the meat did give out an off putting odor. This could have been a one off situation, however considering the fact that we spent $57 for 2lb, I think its worth mentioning here. I was really looking forward to trying the crab. Sadly it just went to waste.2. In my initial assessment, I awarded the restaurant four stars. However, I observed that the business owner promptly responded to my review with a defensive remark. It appears that the owner may not have thoroughly reviewed the feedback, as my experience pertained to a take-out order. In the owners response, there was a defense of serving subpar produce, suggesting that the responsibility rested on me to communicate this to the server which I would have done if I dined at the restaurant.I believe a more constructive dialogue would be beneficial for addressing such concerns in a professional manner and also to read the content of the reviews the business receives. By providing feedback, I aim to emphasize the sincerity of my opinions rather than seeking a refund or complimentary meal. My intent is to contribute to transparency, aiding both the public and businesses in understanding the quality of food and service. I believe that honest reviews foster improvement and cultivate an informed consumer base, benefiting both customers and establishments alike.
Curry Up Cafe
21912 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
This place makes you want to like it. Inspired fusion options, and a funky flair that makes it seem like s hip place to try. Sadly, its all the worst cliches of a hole in the wall restaurant. The chef personally serves the guests with a reverence for the food he has made. Unfortunately, he misses all the details, especially the ones that matter most. The cheese fries were stale, but the Korean beef on top saved it. The paper used underneath it, and for my burger, frustratingly melts upon contact with the grease of the food it is served in. The condiments were so old, it scares one to use them. The ramen burger was made with flavorless soggy noodles, and the burger patty was the only thing that tasted decent, though no better than a backyard bbq. I feel this place couldve been great had the chef only put in the effort to make it so. I even spent 10 minutes trying to coex him out of the kitchen so I could get a bill to pay. He ignored me, so I left my best guess as to what I owed based on my memory of the menu. I really tried to give this place every opportunity, but it deserves to fail if things dont change. I think it should be shuttered for health code violations.Reply to chef: You should look on the table. The only robbery here was your pricing for food that tasted like in came out of the garbage. My review was kind considering my pregnant wife is now sick with food poisoning. Your response shows you are a child, and your food shows youre a second rate line cook at best. Both my wife and I have worked in kitchens, her at the highest levels. We know our food and your ketchup and mustard looks about 12 years old, which is the only confirmation of the age of your eatery. Im not surprised you arent receptive to criticism, especially when it was ment to give you a wake up call to live up to the potential you have with this place.
New Light & Healthy Sushi Bar
19817 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
Never a dull experience at Light & Healthy Sushi. I highly recommend any and all sushi lovers to try Light & Healthy! This spot has been around since the 80s (rightfully so) and is my go to AYCE sushi spot. I live in Van Nuys and choose to drive over here to enjoy the fresh, delicious sushi and great customer service, even though there are other sushi spots near my home (including Midori).Located on Ventura Blvd. just west of Corbin Ave., Light & Healthy has a private parking lot with ample parking space, and additional street parking available as well. The restaurant is pretty large with about 20 seats at the sushi bar and several booths/tables in the dining area. AYCE is only available at the bar, costing $25.95 during lunch hours and $29.95 during dinner. AYCE and a la carte menu prices are relatively comparable to most sushi restaurants. The bar area also has 3 TVs that usually play the relevant sporting or entertainment events going on at the time. There are usually 3 chefs manning the sushi bar. One of the things I enjoy most is the level of hospitality and personalization the crew provides every time I visit Light & Healthy. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel welcome as if you were their favorite customer. The chefs actually talk and interact with you, building rapport, offering recommendations and insight on the menu. A few times I have been offered off-the-menu items that the chefs were creating using their own recipe (ask Chef Justin for his Spicy Scallop Special hand roll!). I have had the pleasure of being served by most, if not all, the chefs there (Brian, Henry, Justin and Lee who is actually the owner) and have always had a great experience. Their sushi is fresh and portions are very generous. I always pair my sushi with the green mussels and quail egg shooters. Perfect way to start and end my AYCE experience!Of course when doing AYCE you may have to wait as the chefs are also catering to the a la carte crowd as well as other ACYE customers at the bar, but I have never had an unreasonable wait or delay during my meal here. Ill always choose Light & Healthy to fulfill my AYCE sushi needs.
Anantra Thai
21799 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
I had an unbelievable experience here, Cat was one of the most helpful and friendly people Ive ever interacted with in this area. She was extremely knowledgeable and informed about all the offerings and allowed me to take up all kinds of time while I was trying to make up my mind. She was totally professional and courteous the entire time and made my experience with this restaurant several times better. The service is always fast and friendly and the aroma/taste of the food is astounding. Both before and during COVID, the service was terrific and during the whole time, safety was carefully and rigorously followed to help keep everyone healthy. They have a very well put together online delivery service as well which helps streamline everything. I have never once been disappointed or dissatisfied with anything at this or their other locations. I am very happy to have them so closeby as well, right off Topanga & Ventura. They are located in a really convenient and comfortable section of this particular shopping area, their spot and the surroundings are vibrant and flourishing with all kinds of fun and cool things to experience. It is very easy to find, it has a beautiful front that can be seen next to the other well kept neighboring businesses. There is a large parking lot with many spots so parking shouldnt be a concern at all. There are so many options to choose from, a wide-ranging list of offerings. Every order Ive had with them has been completely accurate and exact, getting all the details correct. Although I really enjoy and savor the Thai food from all the places Ive been to, especially in The Valley, Anantras is at the top of the list and everyone should try it at least once. The most recent item I ordered was their chicken salad and it was one of the best that Ive had in a long time, it was perfectly prepared and seasoned. It was hot, fresh, and nothing was leaking or dripping which is a definite plus. I found their pricing to be very reasonable and sensible, you dont need to break the bank when coming here. I really loved their ambiance and atmosphere, it had a great feel to it when youre there. The layout also works out really well, with the tables and seating arranged just right to allow comfortable seating for everyone inside. Everything is also extremely clean and spotless inside as well. If youre in the area during lunch, make sure to check out their lunch specials too, theyre really good and you get a lot of value for your money. This is one of those places that you can dine in or take it out and still everything is on point. For those who are vegan, there are plenty of options here as well that would be feasible to order. Another thing I like is that the portions are very hearty and everything seems to still taste amazing if having them as leftovers later on. Another cool thing is that they have/had a dog-friendly patio, so you can bring them along for the experience. I cant think of anything to criticize about this restaurant or the service Cat provided, it was all such a good experience with such helpful people, am looking forward to visiting again and spreading the word to people I know.
Fogo de Cho Brazilian Steakhouse
6263 CA-27 Ste. 100, Woodland Hills, CA 91367, United States
Living Nightmare!!! Dont waste your time! So we made a reservation one week in advance for 7:15pm. We drove an hour from our location to get there and arrived at around 7pm so we checked in and were early. The hostess said she would notify us and call us over when our table was ready and said nothing about sending out a text message. Well, we were sitting outside and I checked my phone and saw that they had texted me. It had been one minute since the message was sent. As we walked to the front for our table they told us that our table was given away. What? Okay, so you wont even give us time to walk up? Anyways we were patient as they told us theyre clearing more tables and will notify us in a couple of minutes and to just wait nearby. So we did. Then five minutes became 10 minutes, then became15 minutes, then became 25 minutes and it was nearly 8pm now. I kept checking in with the hostess and she kept just apologizing and saying, sorry I know but as soon as more tables are cleared we will seat you. So she was basically lying over and over again to us every time we kindly checked in. People were leaving and she didnt even bother to acknowledge or even update us. We had to keep asking her as if like we were like stray dogs begging for food. And yes we were hungry because we waited all day to save up an appetite for the meats we expected to eat. Finally, we just requested to speak to the manager. I think the young hostess was stressed to and I get it and so she kept referring us to the manager. She was also the one that gave our table away from the beginning. So she got the manager and it was almost 10minutes after that we were finally seated after explaining everything. But we ended up leaving since they literally stuffed us next to a group and rowdy and super loud obnoxious men who were literally sitting so close to us we were nearly touching. Grown men jumping in and out of their seats, it felt like we were in a moonbounce. Also, there was no space for all of them! So they sat so close to us because there were no more table space for their group. Thats when we had it and decided to do our dinner celebration somewhere else. Fogo totally killed my graduation night. This had been planned for weeks, we drove an hour, starved ourselves waiting for nothing except to experience what was the most disappointing and worst dining experience of our lives. In sum, the management and staff overall is just super unprofessional, not trained properly, and severely disorganized. Crowds of people were just standing in the doorway the whole time. People wouldnt even let my husband and I walk through so yes after being polite and kind saying excuse me so many times, we had no choice but to push our way through. We literally looked at the people, made eye contact and asked them to move kindly and said excuse me many times. They never even budged and ignored us. Then we were the ones called out for being rude. Then they felt bad because we told them we had said excuse me and that were also getting pushed and bumped around by other people. It was way to crowded and loud inside that people were constantly bumping each other and pushing one another. Just nothing but chaos.Went to Joeys instead and the staff there even agreed there dining experience is nightmare.I dont think well ever go back to Fogo and we highly DO NOT RECOMENED it to anyone. We are kind, polite, and considerate people, but they will push your buttons even the sweetest patient people will go crazy. Im an educator and work with kids all day so I know. It was just so disheartening to have our celebration for graduating grad school that night completely ruined by Fogo. Weve never experienced a more awful restaurant. We definitely were not expecting how terrible it was either because of how fancy they try to be. We were just completely shocked and disappointed not to mention upset and very disheartened after all the time we put into planning what was supposed to be a very special evening and celebration. We do not recommend the experience at all.
JOEY Woodland Hills
6344 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91367, United States
Why did I wait so long to check out JOEY!? I’m so mad at myself! I have passed by JOEY in Woodland Hills, and every time I kept telling myself I need to check it out, I need to check it out. Guess what?? I FINALLY did!!I made a reservation at Joey to celebrate my sisters birthday a few nights ago. When we pulled up in front of the restaurant, I was already happy because they offer valet!!! I don’t know about you, but I’m not a fan of circling around and around to find a parking spot. If valet is offered, I’m always for it!When we entered, we were greeted immediately and were given a complimentary glass of champagne! Yes, free! I felt so fancy! While we received our champagne, I overheard that they had an hour wait. Yikes! Make sure you make a reservation! Once we all (we were a party of 5) received our glass, we were seated right away.I was already in my happy place! The music was on point, our booth was perfect, the ambiance and Friday night vibes were perfection! Our waiter, Braxton, greeted us in a timely fashion and took our drink & appetizer orders. For the table, we ordered the Hibachi Wings (they were eh), Korean Fried Cauliflower (YES!), and the Japanese Gyoza (Yes!). To drink, I had something with watermelon, which was tasty. For the main course, I had the Joey Classic 14oz Prime New York Steak with crispy mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was sooooo delicious! Lastly, dessert, I was a bit saddened by the desserts we got. We ordered the apple pie and the chocolate cake. The apple pie was a bit hard and wasn’t all that good. The chocolate cake was basic; it didn’t wow me. I also ordered a cappuccino, but unfortunately, they didn’t have regular sugar, so that kind of ruined it for me. BoooooEverything was going so well, but when it came to the end of the evening, the desserts and coffee were a miss. Don’t give up on the desserts, JOEY! I always have to get dessert and coffee when I go out for dinner. For me, it’s just an excellent way to end the night. But it just didn’t do it for me.Overall, I had a good time! The server was great, and the manager Chole was a sweetheart. I look forward to my next dinner at JOEY! Maybe no dessert next time.
