Noodles on point. Best noodle shop in the area with a nice variety of soups, noodle and rice dishes. Had the lemon tea, delicious. Have tried three of the soups, all excellent. This spot has quickly become a weekly tradition.

Small but cozy place. Very nice service. Family running business that is in a good location downtown area. We ate here after a hiking route in Moravia Canyon park, so the lunch was delicious.Price is good. However they could do an effort with the cleaning. I am sure it would help to give a better experience to their customers. Because if the people, like me, can see everything dusty and sticky outside, it can make us thing about how it is inside the kitchen. It doesnt give a good image of it.A small but cozy place. A good service. It is a family business with a good location in the center of town. We ate here after hiking through Moravia Canyon Park, so the food was wonderful. It has a good price. However, they could make an effort and keep the site cleaner. It surely helps customers have a more pleasant experience. Because if people, like me, come in and see dust and stickiness in the dining room, it makes you think about what might be in the kitchen. So it doesnt give a good image of the site.

Jakes Roadhouse
622 S Myrtle Ave, Monrovia, CA 91016, United States
Arrived 5:35pm on Sunday 19 DEC and it was moderately busy inside. staff were all masked and other than taking orders and delivering meals maintained their distance from others.I was seated promptly (table for 1) and the lady immediately took my drink order before she left the table. Moments later another gentleman asked if he could get me a drink and I indicated the lady took my request for water just moments ago but could I also have a Passion Tea. Sure enough it was on the table in minutes. My server came a minute or so after that and took my order, paying close attention to my requests and repeated my order back to me to be certain…spot on my friend…(1/2 rack baby backs w/sauce on the side and a baked potato w/butter & bacon bits if they had them, and some coleslaw, please and thank you).Dinner was on the table, exactly as ordered in 11 mins from ordering!Dinner was delicious! Ribs done just right; easy enough to get them off the bone and full of good charred flavour. A touch of sauce on the side and they were perfect. The “bacon bits” that went on my baked potato was nothing shy of 2 thick cut strips of bacon…no complaints here! Coleslaw was tangy and creamy…if I have to eat coleslaw this is the way I like it!Service was incredibly attentive throughout my stay with water/tea refills being offered frequently and regular trips past the table had various servers and other staff asking if everything was good. A+ for attentiveness to the customer.Meal was moderately priced (quite reasonable for what I received) and I'm glad I ventured away from a typical chain restaurant for dinner. My fist time in Monrovia and my first dinner out in this area…definitely did not disappoint.Well done Jake's Roadhouse … I'll definitely be returning. Thank you and merry Christmas / Happy Holidays!
Sushi NAKATA
108 E Lime Ave, Monrovia, CA 91016, United States
I was suddenly craving some sushi, and this place popped up on my Google out of nowhere. I had to say, it's AMAZING! Especially they take reservations even during COVID for their limited outdoor seatings. I highly recommend for any Uni lovers to ask for Uni menus before going there, and they didn't disappoint: very sweet and quality Uni for our visit. We ordered 2 Omakase sets (comes with appetizers, soup, a small dish and some nigiri), and 4 Uni sushi — great portion, and ok value. My only concern is that the side walk is too close to the tables due to limited space outdoor, and you will get a lot of walking pass you within 2-3 feet... most of them do wear a mask but still!!In summary, I do recommend this place if you are looking for a place to sit down and enjoy some good sushi during this uncertain time. Stay safe everyone ?
Monrovia Street Fair & Market
700 S Myrtle Ave #708, Monrovia, CA 91016, United States
Very nice farmers market/street fair on a Friday night. We came her out of curiosity and convenience (since my conference was held nearby). It starts around 5 pm. There was only one veggies booth, the rest of them were food, clothing and some random stuff. There are few booths sell vegan food or vegan friendly food, like vegan tacos, vegan burritos, vegan pupusas, and vegan desserts. There are some live music playing around the street fair. It was a very relaxing experience. Id recommend for any residents or visitors around the town to come join the Friday street fair. Monrovia is a cute little town. It was rated as most authentic American town once! (Please dont quote me on that, I only heard it from someone)
Noodle Stars

My wife and I stopped by this quick service restaurant after shopping at Sprouts. We had Jakarta Fried Noodle and Indonesian Fried Rice. It was very greasy for us as they made us sluggish and thirsty immediately. I think the thirst was due to MSG. And it also made my tummy hurt. The cashier lady was aggressively hot-selling various items on the menu despite our repeated refusal. And she asked a funny question, “Are you guys Indonesian?” which I think is inappropriate and rude. I’m not Indonesian but I love Indonesian food and would not revisit this awkward spot.
AM Donut & Yogurt
305 W Huntington Dr, Monrovia, CA 91016, United States
Very creepy experience. My guy and I had a cronut craving about 7 pm and the pictures in the yelp review looked pretty good. So we entered the establishment and it was weird because it was very dark inside. The doughnut case was very dark to see what was inside. Anyway a very small individual asked what we wanted. We had to repeat ourselves several times as if the proprietor didnt know what cronuts were. She said ok and took two cronuts out of the case and very slowly wrapped then. The total was about $7 and we gave her a debit card to run the transaction. She said she didnt know how to run the card machine and said she has to go get her sister. She went to the back of the shop and we did not see her for quite some time. The place is dark, quiet and somewhat creepy. After a few minutes I told my guy lets just leave. He said, no no here she comes. Several more minutes go by and no one can figure out how to run a debit card. Are you serious? Theres no sign that says cash only. Plus, it was so dark in there. We were there about 10 minutes, nothing was purchased and we left. We had a small argument afterwards and then ended up laughing so hard at this experience.
