Dumpling Master
7220 Day Creek Blvd #149, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739, United States
I had high hopes for this place since I had not had dumplings in forever. Drive by the place and checked out the Google reviews and thought I was in for a treat. It was a Sunday after a long hike, late afternoon. Not many people in the place. I took a seat by a window. The floor under the table was filthy and I tried not to smear around the food droppings. The overall appearance of the restaurant looked good enough though.I ordered a green tea, chicken lemongrass dumplings, and noticed they offer a Tonkatsu ramen which is what I often get after my hikes so I get that too.I was taken aback when the server came back with hot water in a paper cup. Turns out everything was served in disposable containers. What surprised me even more was that the green tea is Lipton, nothing at all what I expected which was something that perhaps had more Asian authenticity. The ramen arrives and the presentation looked decent. Then I tasted it.Bland. The broth had zero flavor profile. Plus, it had no body which meant it wasn't a real tonkatsu broth. I tried putting in chili oil to help but it just made it spicy. Guess that's what I get for ordering a Japanese dish at a Chinese restaurant.Dumpling time. You would think this is their time to shine. Just looking at the wrapper I could tell these were not fresh. They tasted only OK. I thought my hunger would power me through but I could force down only half the dumplings having lost my appetite from disappointment. There wasn't really an opening to comment because no one came to check on me and see how things were tasting. Even when they brought the check they didn't ask if I wanted to take the dumplings home (I really didn't).Sadly, from this experience, I would not return.

Thai Diamond Bar.B.Q.
9581 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, United States
Im not a big fan of Thai food - the spices are too complicated for my palate - but I enjoyed the combination fried rice (not very greasy, rice was pretty light and the right amount of chewy) and the spicy seafood special (very reminiscent of spicy seafood noodles a.k.a. jjamppong from Korean style Chinese food places), again the spices were too much for me but I really enjoyed it in bites, especially with the rice. Fried calamari as an appetizer was delicious, with light and fluffy coating and actual, chewable, well-prepared squid that didnt make me rip it apart like a rabid dog! Came with sweet and sour dipping sauce that was too sweet for me but was comparable to most decent sweet and sour sauces. I just wish there was more of the calamari ($13 for a plate the half the size of a tablet pc) but I cant fault them, with the economy what it is in 2022. Also, combination fried rice couldve used more toppings, though well-prepared.Restaurant is on the small side and not every table has dividers between them so your neighboring diners voices may carry too loudly. Decor is nice, feels rustic and still looks nice enough for the most part. Not everything goes together but I can see an effort was made and I appreciate that.

Seven Grams
12385 S Mainstreet Ste 1040, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739, United States
After shopping at Ontario Mill, we dined at Seven Grams Chinese XLB restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga, and I must say, its a hidden gem that offers everything youd find at Din Tai Fung. The taste of their XLB and spicy wontons is remarkably similar to the famous chain. Despite being a small shop with just a few tables, their service is impressively efficient, and our food arrived promptly. My personal favorite was the shrimp XLB, bursting with flavor and featuring whole shrimp that added a delightful twist. The cold sesame noodles were another highlight, boasting perfectly al dente noodles coated in a flavorful sesame sauce that was simply fantastic. The restaurants interior is beautifully decorated with a charming Chinese theme, and its well-lit, creating a welcoming ambiance. Overall, Seven Grams Chinese XLB is a must-visit for anyone craving the flavors of Din Tai Fung in Rancho Cucamonga, and I cant wait to return for another delightful dining experience.

Bushfire Kitchen - Rancho Cucamonga
10990 Foothill Blvd Suite 100, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, United States
We are so excited to have a bushfire kitchen in the area! I was unaware of bushfire kitchen until they opened one here in Rancho and boy have I been missing out! We had the pleasure of joining them for their soft opening and I can tell they will stay busy. First off the customer service is superb, hats off to the owner Clive, the CEO Oliver, Tyler the Director of operations, Josh the DM, and Paul the GM. They make coming to this establishment fun and upbeat. I love that they always have a smile on their faces and are eager to help you out. Now let's get to the food, the empanadas are to die for and the idea of “empanada of the month” is genius, has me looking forward to what's coming out next! This months empanada is guava and cream and it's delicious and served warm. The chicken and veggie empanada's are great too make sure to get the chimichurri sauce with it. The cookies are great my favorite so far is the triple chocolate. Plate wise I go for the tri tip chimichurri plate with a side of Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. My husband doesn't even like sweet potato fries but he loves bushfire's, and the Mac and cheese is perfect. The staff is very friendly, patient and knowledgeable about their products, very helpful if you happen to have any allergies or diet restrictions. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be regulars. Oh and they're dog friendly!

Thippawan Thai Restaurant
9950 Foothill Blvd S, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, United States
I want to give this place five stars, but I havent tried enough items yet. However, I will be back to try other things and can update my rating then.Moving along, I usually write long reviews, but Ill be brief this time. I came on a Friday evening and it wasnt packed at all. I got seated quickly, and the host put me in a booth and wiped down my table before sitting. I liked that. Then my server came and took my drink order, and before I forget, this girl was awesome! A short cutie wearing glasses by the name of Marissa, we went over food options, and I liked her suggestions and honesty; she was attentive, helpful, and personal. I wasnt too hungry, so I got the wontons that Marissa said wouldnt be very filling and would be like eating chips. She was right. She steered me to a Stir-Fry entree with ground pork, and it was delicious. So Ill be back to try other things that are hopefully as good.I was truly impressed by how immaculate the bathrooms were, which really should be a standard at all restaurants. Marissa told me they put a lot of effort into keeping the restrooms clean as it reflects how you may think of the kitchen, and if the bathroom is dirty, youll be thinking the same thing about the kitchen. All in all, this is a cool joint in the cut to find a new favorite dish. Be mindful that the parking lot can be a bit of a mess on the side closest to the storefronts due to all the traffic.

Aloha K Hawaii BBQ
6331 Haven Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91737, United States
Based on the reviews, this seemed to be the best Hawaiian restaurant in the area, but I was a little bit disappointed in the experience...First of all, while the menu has many choices, they didnt have quite the choice I wanted and were absolutely unwilling to do any kind of substitutions. I confirmed with the owner that the Jalapeño Chicken is basically the BBQ Chicken with jalapeños, and costs the same, so I asked for a combo of Kalua Pork & Jalapeño Chicken, but the owner flatly refused.Next, although we indicated we would be dining in, the food was served in black Styrofoam containers with plastic cutlery and the drinks were in plastic to go style containers. At first I thought the server made a mistake, but apparently this is how they do things since the few other customers dining in were served in the same manner. It quickly became quite obvious that the vast majority of their clientele order to go. I figured that all fast food places have a drive-thru, but apparently not.I took my wife here thinking it would be a nice place for a date, but the atmosphere is more like a fast food joint and quite noisy. Many of the customers ordered blended drinks which are prepared right up front with a VERY LOUD blending machine, making it difficult to converse with my wife. If youre looking for something romantic and/or flexible in their offerings, look elsewhere. If you want pretty good Hawaiian fare with very little flair as youre rushing through life, this would be a good pitstop. Many of the customers seem to be regulars and very friendly with the staff, occasionally even referring to each other by first name, which is admirable. Finally, I believe my disappointment stems from having in mind a different kind of dining experience based on being spoiled by Pac Island Grill in Federal Way, WA. I had been going there since they opened and my wife & I ate there many, many times when we used to live in Western Washington.P.S. The Sriracha sauce here is watered down, which is pathetic.

Metro Supermarket
8160 Day Creek Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739, United States
Metro supermarket has all your cooking needs for the family, for a good nice barbecue or just regular go in and get some snacks and produce. They have a variety of selection of food. The snack aisle has so many different options to snack on while you watch some good TV In the back they have a free fish fry after purchasing a selection of fish, and might i add, they also have frog. In the front corner, they have a sushi bar available made fresh. If you need pots and pans, rice, cookers, and utensils they also have that. There are meat options in the back also. We definitely picked up some stuff while we were here.

Stater Bros. Markets
7200 Day Creek Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739, United States
I just want to say that Madelyn the cashier about 15 mins ago was SUPER unprofessional. Soon as I got up to the register shes literally flustered and rushing me even though I am literally going as fast as possible being a single dad with two sons 10 and under. She literally went around the register to pull the basket out of my hands cuz apparently I wasnt moving fast enough (mind you Im very aware of my surroundings Im not in la la land)Then she proceeded to have a resting witch face as she was telling me to press buttons that were not yet available to press on the card reader. The whole time I was super respectful and I just figured she was having a bad day but when she kept telling me to press the red X (when I had done it already) or hit YES (which I had done already) the system just wasnt moving fast enough for Madelyn and she was taking it out on a paying customer! I said theres nothing for me to press it hasnt popped up yet and she said because u still havent pressed the red X with her smug look. So I just told her whats your issue? Are you like this to EVERY paying customer or just me? And she said my computer back here has nothing to do with the card reader which that had nothing to do with me asking what HER issue was. And she said do we have a problem? As if Im the rude staff member! And I said DO YOU? Apparently so because you look all red and youre raising your voice. I asked to speak to a manager twice and she ignored my request handed me my receipt then when I went to grab it she held onto it longer. As if to start a confrontation. And she said happy holidays merry Christmas have a food one! As if to dismiss me lol I said l will thanks u try too! Cuz how u look right now things arent too merry for you.I know the holiday season is stressful but it u cant handle then DONT! Its stressful for us all, and the last thing as a PAYING CUSTOMER I want is some disrespectful unapologetic person in my face not only being rude but CONTINUING to do so after I mentioned her attitude. And even AFTER I requested a manager.DO BETTER MADELYN, I will be following up with this. I wasnt able to talk to a supervisor because my kids just got out of school and we had to rush home to meet family

Haven City Market

Oh my GOODNESS!!This little place has the best sandwich ever made!!!It's as good, if you went to Italy!!I've been to Italy. They're very similar, but this guy puts on more meat than the Italian would.. obviously us Americans love food!!He puts a lot of more heart into his food!TrustMe u can tell by the 1st bite!!!The texture is just so creamy. But not soggy.Their sauces are delicious.I highly recommend this place I drove an hour and a half was two hours just to try his sandwiches. It was so worth it.The big and fluffy the bread is so phenomenalAll his sauces are in house nothing store-bought along with other things. The meatball sandwich was so tender, and juicy was nicely slightly toastedThe sandwich that I had was so full of flavors. The cheese just melted and popped in my mouth. It was a OMG! MeatNice and tender and a good amount of it!! The chips where awesome my madeIn home!! Tasteful. Aioli and p corn sauceWas excellent!! Great atmosphere.I can't believe this place has expanded hopefully itCustomer Service was awesomeThe young lady was able to answer all questions and recommending whatever was on the menu .If you want a taste of Italy, and it's delicacy, with a lot of love put into it. I'd definitely recommend this place!!Now as far as the native bar. The service was terrible. The guy would just stand there for about 5+ minutes didn't even ask us what we wantedThen he spoke to someone else behind us . I guess it must've been a regular customer.. as he knew what she would like to drinkThat still doesn't give a reason why he didn't offer to assist us . Then continue to speak with some kids they were sitting at the table. So then I said, excuse me, can I try this? And he said I can't let you try it because it'll cost me money to give you a sample. And it's bad for our business. Now where in the heck have you ever heard of that!!! no wonder why the place was empty. With that attitude and that Service I wouldn't stay here either. All the stars are for Nonna's and the burger I am .If I could review the native bar, I wouldn't give them not even one star !!As far as for the restrooms, they really need a lot of help. Most of them were clogged.
