HICCUPS TEA HOUSE
2233 N Tustin St C, Orange, CA 92865, United States
I am loving that more new restaurants are opening in this area. I was very happy to see that Hiccups opened across the street from the Mall of Orange. Its next to Taco Bell, Raising Canes and Target. We decided to give this place a try during my lunch break since we needed to run a few errands at Target.Once we came in, we were greeted by the nice lady at the register. They have a wide selection of noodles, appetizers, drinks and pho. Its a fusion of Asian Cuisine and American Cuisine (Vietnamese, Thai and American).I tried the thai fried rice with tofu (you can choose any protein you like) and my husband had the Beef Bone Pho (which was on special) and for drinks we got the matcha milk tea and thai tea.Once you order, you grab a table and wait for the food to be brought to your table. Our drinks arrived a few minutes after we sat down (THEY ARE VERY QUICK, WHICH IS A PLUS when you only have 1 hour lunch break). The pho and the fried rice came a few minutes after. We love the presentation that of both dishes. The thai fried rice was very flavorful (with a slight kick) and we appreciated the fact the tofu was perfectly fried. The portion of thai fried rice is generous, for two people I would recommend the thai fried rice and an appetizer. The pho came in a very clean broth with the usual bean sprouts, basil and jalapeno on the side (please note that pho usually comes with cilantro and onion, but my husband asked them to not put any in the broth). I tasted the broth and the taste is very light, it tastes as if they dont stew the bones and meat for a long time. But they do get props for having such a clear and clean broth.Overall my experience at Hiccups was a good one. I cant wait to come back and try their other dishes.

This is not your typical thai restaurant. It is mostly drinking food that you would typically see at food stalls in Bangkok. The prices are kind of expensive but it is understandable after talking to one of the servers. They said that everything is made in house and they get fresh local deliveries on their meats and veggies every other day. With that being said, you can taste the quality of the ingredients in the food. The pork belly and chicken wings was delicious. It comes with sticky rice and a side of a sauce made of fish sauce, ginger and garlic. They are usually on happy hour which is from 4 - 6 pm and 10 - close. As of our entrees we got this egg omelet over garlic rice. When eating this you can tell this is drinking food. The omelet had been sprouts and green onion inside. Also it was light and fluffy. It comes with this hit tamird sauce which is actually on the spicy spicy side but it taste good. We also got the ginger chicken which tasted just like ginger and the shredded chicken was moist. The atmosphere of this place is really nice. It kind of makes me feel like I am at Bangkok. I have never been but from movies and stuff. The only thing I wish I would of got to try is their cocktails. I would highly recommend coming to this place. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is that a place can always improve on things. I just dont know what.
Yum Dumpling

This adorable little new restaurant serves comforting Chinese fare with some delicious, strong flavors.Signature Beef Noodle - Their most popular item is the signature beef noodle soup (handmade daily). The broth has a savory kick thats an umami dream. It may have too much kick for those sensitive to salt, but for me - this dish is chefs kiss. With long chewy noodles and surprisingly very tender and generous portions of meat, this dish is true comfort food.Pan Fried Buns - highly recommended! the bun itself is soft and fluffy with a golden crust at the bottom, which provides great textural diversity in one bite. This dish comes with a dipping sauce reminiscent of flavors in a cha-siu bun. Its unique and adds an awesome sweet and savory flavor profile to the buns.Other Dishes - The sesame noodles (with handmade noodles) and the pan fried dumplings are also great dishes to explore on a second or third visit. The green onion pancake is chewy and less crispy than my preferred type, and the garlic cucumber is on the sweeter, mild side. All in all, the food is made fresh, the restaurant is adorable, the flavors of their signature dishes are on point, and the service comes from very kind and wonderful people. A great new addition to East Orange.

I almost feel like there are TOO MANY options here! The menu is huge and there are tons of salads, sandwiches, wraps, entrees, sides, etc. to choose from. It took me forever to decide on what to get, but thankfully my server was very patient and helpful with suggestions. What I assume is newer revision of the menu includes symbols to indicate whether an item is vegetarian or gluten-free, and I was grateful to see a good number items that were both. While nothing is indicated as vegan, my server told me that most of the vegetarian items could be made vegan by omitting the cheese and/or dressing. They seem to be accommodating to requests like that.I got the falafel wrap on a gluten-free tortilla, and my server said that it would come with extra fruit and hummus to make up for the pasta salad and creamy dressing that I couldnt have (to keep my meal vegan and gluten-free). It was delicious! The falafel was a tad dry and crumbly, and the wrap did fall apart easily, and it ended up being a bit messy to eat, but not too big of a deal if you dont mind eating a wrap with a fork and knife. There are also two vegan and gluten-free cookies that they have, which Id gotten a couple of days before during a coffee-to-go stop here. The Chocolate Coconut Walnut Cookie is amazing. Im sure the Oatmeal Raisin was good, too. The iced coffee that I got was also HUGE ... like 24 oz or maybe even 32 oz?

This place is amazing! Words cant describe alone the service you get overall. From the extremely friendly staff to the great quality food that you get. Another great thing about this area is you usually will never have to fight for parking! From the moment my family and I entered, we were greeted right away and immediately sat down. Our orders were taken and the food came out within minutes. They also ensured to check on our table from time to time, but at around 5:30-6PM, they began to get busier and the restaurant started to get packed (even their to-go were busy.) But they never stopped checking on the tables that were already eating as they seated new guests. Now to the food. We ordered Aromatic Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Basil Chicken, Crispy Wontons, sides of rice and Pot Stickers. Everything was very flavorful and the rice/chicken was almost perfectly made/moist. The Honey Walnut Shrimp here is probably the best I have ever had from anywhere (and their best seller). I highly recommend trying at least this if you come. Crispy Wonton and Pot stickers will speak for themselves because they were definitely crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. The Aromatic Chicken and Basil Chicken were perfectly seasoned. As a result, I was not dissatisfied one bit, and would absolutely recommend you try this restaurant at least once. Im sure youll want to come back for more!
Simply Pho Noodle House

Steady stream of customers during lunch hour on the weekend. We were seated by the host, and the servers came to take our orders after a few moments. Drinks and water were provided right away. We ordered the spring rolls and the shrimp spring rolls. These appetizers came fairly quickly next and tasted delicious. The 2 shrimp spring rolls were cut in half for a better sharing experience and making it easier to pour the sauce into (dont dip, cuz the fillings will fall out).We ordered #1 house special pho, #5 seafood pho, chicken banh mi sandwich, and pan-seared salmon. Before our maindishes arrived, our server gave us a plate of basil, lemon wedges, and sprouts. House special and seafood pho were savory according to those who had the dishes. Chicken banh mi is flavorful from chickens grilling process. The pan seared salmon tasted better with the house special sauce (dipped or poured over). Before the bill arrived, our server gave us a sweet dessert that had sago (small tapioca balls), mung bean, and coconut milk (see pictured). This dessert was just the right amount (in terms of sweetness and quantity) for a perfect finish to a meal.Would return again, especially for the egg rolls, spring rolls, and, of course, the dessert!
RAMEN MURA
130 S Main St G, Orange, CA 92868, United States
The first time I dined here was about 2 weeks ago. It was also the first time I tried the black ramen. I loved it. It was delicious. Fantastic broth and fantastic chasu chicken. It seemed like it was well done and cooked well, which is to my liking. The broth was very flavorful which is what I was hoping for and most concerned with. The black garlic oil was present but not overwhelming. The toppings were also very good. My favorite was the mushroom ear. As for the noodles. I liked them. They were tasty and I liked the texture. The only thing I notice they were pretty similar to counter top ramen noodles when it comes to looks and texture. Although, a step above cheap top ramen noodles. I was fine with that but Im not sure if they were supposed to be like that. Either way, the noodles were not too soft and not too hard. Just right to me.I also had the sesame chicken (4 pieces) which you get a discount off if you order a ramen. The sesame chicken exceeded my expectations. When the chicken was brought out, it was very hot like it was fresh off the grill or pan (or however they cooked it). The chicken tasted great. The best chicken Ive ever had in a while. A little small but a fair size for a side order and for the price I paid ($3.95 for 4 pieces). Each bite was tender and flavorful. I could taste both the meat and the seasoning (And Im guessing herbs). I loved the sesame chicken I could have had that without the ramen.Customer service was fine. No complaints. I think the manager was my server, at least according to the receipt. My server checked up on me a couple of times to make sure I was enjoying my meal. Luckily not too much so I was not disturbed and left in peace. For this whole experience Ive spent about $20. Which I think is a fair price for the flavor of the ramen and chicken and portion of both meals. A nice occasional outing and treat. The dining area itself is a little small. Or at least, not as large as other places might be. And was it too busy when I went in before 5:00 p.m. But I imagine it might be a little cramped during a during a rush.I enjoyed my experience. And my meal. Will be back.
Yoshiharu Ramen

I want to hear a few weeks ago and I feel like the food was pretty good but definitely not amazing. I would give it a solid 7 out of 10. The food here definitely was not my complaint though. My complaint was actually the service. I went here on a weeknight where it was not super busy yet the server barely came around. There was two adults and two children sitting at my table. I ordered two kids meals and two regular bowls of ramen. By the time the food came out both kids meals came out and then one of the bowl of ramen. The server never seemed to question the fact that she only brought out three dishes for a table of four people. I sat and waited for quite some time thinking maybe my ball was just a little slower and after everyone at my table was nearly halfway done with their food I had to wave down the server and ask about my dish. Instead of just admitting that they completely forgot my order they brushed me off and said oh it would be coming right out. I had to watch every table around me get their bowls of ramen after that before I even got mine. By the time I was done eating my family had been sitting and waiting for me and when the bill came they actually charged me for 5 dishes instead of the four. They ended up double-charging me for my specific bowl of ramen as if I ordered it twice. I was very annoyed at this point and asked for my refund on the extra ball that I was charged for. Unfortunately for me there was no manager that night and so they could not refund my card that they had already charged at that point. So they ended up just giving me cash for the one bowl that they overcharged me for. Honestly that was my mistake for not looking at the bill first. We had been sitting there for so long already and had to ask for the check that when the server came without even looking at the bill I just handed her my card. Now I know better for the next time I go here that I have to double-check and possibly have them repeat my order. As I stated before it was not the food that was a problem here it was more of the service. I am definitely willing to give them a try again and hopefully well be able to update my review :-)
Season Thai Cuisine
166 E Orange Grove Ave, Burbank, CA 91502, United States
My husband and I visited this place over the weekend. We tried a couple of dishes. To start with, the pad thai chicken with shrimp was awful and we did not have any bite at all.We then ordered the chicken thai bbq (since we won't eat the pad thai). That did not impress as well as the chicken tasted like pork. When we ordered this entrée half way through our seating, the waiter simply asked if we don't want the pad thai dish anymore (it was full and we had no intentions of having any bite). We said that it tasted so bad and we will not eat it. The waiter simply removed the plate and did not care about any customer satisfaction. When the check came, we saw that the pad thai was included, so we had to pay for a full size untouched pad thai dish.PS: we also had the mongolian beef which is not that great but was not that horrid as well, the amount of meat was hilarious as it felt it was a vegetarian dish.Awful taste and experience.
Cha Thai Restaurant

The lady running front desk is super friendly and reminded me of an loving aunty. It felt like home. This restaurant can easily be missed based on its location alone, its inside of a smaller shopping mall.It was pretty quiet but had music playing, the decor is pretty odd for a Thai place but thats secondary. We order Pad Prik Kapow, it is suppose to be spicy but was more on the sweet side with a hint of spice that lingers, nothing you cant handle. I would recommend asking for extra spicy to get that full that taste of sweet, salty, savor and spicy which makes you chase the heat. Also tried the Rad Na with beef. Also ok the sweeter end, but it taste like what I was expecting so thats a good thing. The Chicken Satay was alittle bit on the dry end, but their peanut sauce is perfection.Thai tea was also delicious.Service A+Food B+Decor CCleanliness ALocation mehParking goodI would definitely recommend ?Would be a nice place to take a date as its a quiet place to have Intimate conversations over a nice meal.
