Average food. Nothing special. Their xiaolongbao tasted sweet, which was different from what I had at other Shanghainese restaurants. Parking is easy.

I really want to like this restaurant so even though I didnt like the first couple times when I visited before the whole COVID-19, Im willing to give it one more try in addition to supporting the local restaurant. One thing interesting and may actually be the biggest problem for the restaurant in the long run is that this restaurant makes almost everything. Can you imagine a restaurant that makes French, English, Italian and Spanish food under the same roof? Thats what I feel when I look at the restaurant menu. They are all over the place when it comes to Chinese cuisine. They have hot pot, skewers, Sichuan food, Hunan food, Shanghainese, Taiwanese, and literally everything I can imagine. However, nothing tastes good. The pictures I took are actually much more flattering than the actual taste. They just mix seasoning with whatever meat. There is no soul in the cooking. My suggestion would be to significantly trim the menu and find an actual niche that the cook knows how to actually cook better than an average joe. To say its a disappointment is an understatement. Im done as Ive given this restaurant 3 tries and Ive tried hotpot, skewers, and actual dishes so I think Ive done my best in my support but I just cant lie about bad cooking.

Jin Jin Gourmet

Unforgivably incompetent service. Customers have to babysit the workers to make sure they get their food.I came in person to order takeout shortly after they opened at 5pm and they said my order would be done in 30 minutes, which was longer than I was expecting for simple stir-fry dishes and before a dinner rush, but bearable. I waited at their outdoor seating because I had a baby in tow and came back half an hour later. There were multiple people waiting for their orders, including the person who ordered just before me so I waited with them. I could tell everyone else was growing impatient waiting.I waited another 20 minutes in plain view of them before finally asking when my order would be ready and the guy already forgot I ordered in person from him because I had to tell him my order again and apparently it had been ready for over 20 minutes and no one bothered to say anything. Didnt call me in from outside, didnt ask what I ordered when I came back in. Just wasted my entire familys time and let the food go cold. The two service workers (owners?) were clearly disinterested in working and took no pride in their work. Take-out orders were being clumsily assembled behind their counter. They couldve taken my number to call me, stepped outside, or checked with me when I came back inside in the worst case, but they just ignored me. Even just putting finished ordered on some of the many unused tables so you can find your order would be better than this. Its not my job to check with you every 5 minutes to see if my food is ready. The food was fine, but already cold and bittered by the service when we got to eat it.

Updated: bad service so we left 10% tips. The male server threw the tips money into the dirty bowl and shouted at my face that the tips is too little, dont come dine in next time.Food: plates and silverwares getting dirtier over the past couple years I dined here.=========================================My go to place for Shanghainese pan fried bun (生煎包). $7/6 pieces. Super juicy. You need to eat the right way and try not to burn your tongue :DThe shredded pork & noodle with green onion sauce (葱油肉丝版面) is not bad either, good flavor, slim on the meat side though. The restaurant itself is kinda hole in the wall place. Definitely doesnt look clean lol. The service can be off if you go right before they close.Sorry, I never really got a chance to take pictures of the buns because we just cannot wait when those are served..
