Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
20532 Avalon Blvd, Carson, CA 90746, United States
Havent been a huge fan of Olive Garden for some years now, but yesterday, it blew my mind. The food was delicious and the service was amazing!First, I was able to make a reservation online for six people a few minutes before arriving, and when I arrived, the table was already ready. Our waiter, Orlando, came over right away and greeted us with a hearty smile. Orlando was extremely kind and understanding. He brought us out our drinks and pipping hot bread quickly. We decided on our orders, and everything was brought out so quickly! When my minestrone soup got low, he grabbed it so fast and replaced it with another one. He did not listen to my protest about finishing the first one.Our main entrees came out next, and my mom and I dove into the lasagna. It needed only a tiny sprinkle of cheese as the seasonings and cheese were on point and delicious. I wish that I wasnt so full from the soup and breadstick as I wouldve had more. Well, that is what leftovers are for, and I can not wait to get to them later on today! As we finished our meal, Orlando brought out tons of to go boxes, a to go salad, and plates for dessert. It was my aunts 91st birthday, so the staff sang to her, and they got her a hearty slice of cheesecake. They really made her day and ours! So, maybe I will give Olive Garden some more chances! This was a wonderful surprise with great service and food!

The food is always excellent however both male and female bathrooms needed to be cleaned they both had paper towels on the ground where patrons had not put them in the garbage can. I had chicken noodle soup and a chicken Caesar salad sandwich. The chicken noodle soup was more broth than noodles however the server quickly added lots of noodles and chicken once I mentioned it. The sandwiches were excellent the macaroni and cheese which my friend had looked great. My date just added a little pepper and salt for seasoning for her palate. Mall parking. Spent under $40 for two people which was great. The hot chocolate was very tasty. It would be nice if you could have refills on the hot chocolate. The staff was friendly and inviting. All-n-all good night of eating. Sign I TRIED IT
Cajun Crackn Long Beach

I came here to try the food and was excited to eat some crab. I figured it might be a good place to bring family too and the sentiment is NEVER. I pinpoint my need to run far away was when the appetizer came and from there it was an unnerving feeling that I made a mistake coming here. The waitresses demeanor were a huge factor in that decision. From the moment I walked in the greeter looked surprise to see me before they got their composure together to then the actual waitress bringing me the wrong item I selected after I went into a discussion of what each item is ( I love crab legs but dont want the actual crab to stare at me in death ). One of the surprising things was the lack of knowledge when it came to what the flavors are. Even if you dont like seafood and are there for the paycheck at least gain working knowledge to help me make good food choices when I dont have a clue to how the restaurant seasons their food. By the time I paid and left there I saw one staff member was pre-occupied on their phone and there was nobody else on the floor. Typically when you leave a restaurant somebody thanks you for coming and says bye. There was none of that. Overall my one regrettable visit here was it. Would I recommend this place? No.
100 FRESH SUBS & SALADS
11401 E Carson St #J, Lakewood, CA 90715, United States
This place is literally a little hole in the wall shop located across from the Long Beach Town Center. Once I saw the place, I wasnt too hopeful. The employee that helped me was very friendly and helpful. This place is still using plastic barriers and customers arent yet allowed in the shop. So I placed my order and waited outside. The employee went in the back and I could hear her assembling my order. A few minutes later, she handed me my order. My wife ordered the Italian sub and I ordered the Chicken House Salad. The old saying looks can be deceiving applies to this place because my wifes sandwich was absolutely delicious. It was on a fresh baguette and the ratio of bread to filling was great. This wasnt a typical sub sandwich where the bread is so thick that it over powers the filling. The baguette was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Chicken House Salad was simply Romain, cucumbers and roasted chicken, but it too was delicious. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, it really is 100% fresh.

Thai House Street Eats
3225 E Carson St, Lakewood, CA 90712, United States
I was waiting for this restaurant to be open to give it a try. For some reason, I had the feeling that it was going to be good.By far, this is the best thai restaurant in Long Beach. I have been to this place twice, and both times, the food was delicious. On my second visit, I ordered combination fried rice. I was surprised and extremely happy that it actually had a generous amount of beef, chicken, and shrimp. It was a bit more expensive than other thai restaurants, but it was worth it.The main disappointment about other thai places is that their combination fried rice is mainly rice and hardly any chicken, beef, or shrimp; plus they lack customer service skills. These two factors are a completely turn-off and a good reason not to come back.Good quality beef, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a good chef make a big difference. Very good customer service, nice and clean restaurant. I am very happy overall. If I could, I would eat at this place every day.
We Love Pho 2

Food was absolutely amazing, I grew up eating Phò and this place is the absolute closest thing to home. Service was extremely quick and warm, our food came out in less than 15 minutes and the vibes of the restroom was very homey. Definitely if youre looking for a warm meal and something that hits the spot then this is the place to be. ‼‼
Restaurant 917

We had stuff to do in El Segundo, so the wife made reservations for lunch. I recommend reservations for lunch, even on a Tuesday.Service was a little slow for me but my European wife felt it was just fine. Go figure.Pretzel bread came with Porsche shaped butter. Nice touch, and the only Porsche *I* can afford. We shared the charcuterie plate. Nice variety of meats and cheeses. Amount was about right, too.Next, we both had the 917 burger. It was very good. Comes with fries. I ordered medium well and it was just like I like it - pink in the middle but not too pink. I must be getting old because I had to take half home. I look forward to it later. The wife had the 901 cocktail. Whiskey based with other stuff. She liked it and she doesnt like many drinks. We got a window table overlooking the Porsche test track. Over on the left, you can see the statue that used to hold a golf club for the par 3 course that used to be here next to the 405.Bottom line: Expensive, but worth it, imo. Beautiful view, good food, free parking, free show of new Porsche owners on the track.A good time was had by all - except for that guy who spun out on the wet curve!

I came at around 12:30 for to pick up lunch for me and my fiance. He asked for the mojo cuban sandwich with a side of fries instead of the salad and I got a california burrito with fries. He got the raspberry lemonade and I got the Vietnamese coffee. The burrito came with chips and salsa (salsa was so good, a little spicy and a lot of flavorful). The cashier taking our order was so polite. Everyone was keeping to the social distancing, there was a tarp outside to wait for your food but I chose to wait in my car. I got a text as soon as my food was finished. It took about 20 minutes so if youre in a rush for lunch, I would suggest ordered ahead. They take phone orders too. The burrito had a lot of rice and potato i think so it was pretty filling. The avocado salsa in it was delicious!!! The chicken in the burrito had a good flavor. The raspberry lemonade was good. The Vietnamese coffee was strong!! Love it.

Went to Mamas for the first time today. I phoned in my order and it was ready on time. I ordered the chicken bowl. I thought the entire meal was great! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the rice and side salad were both very good. Didnt even need the dressing. Im always looking for healthy options in the area for lunch, so Im glad this place opened up. Definitely going back. This place was real good. Highly recommend.
