Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
389 Shaw Ave, Clovis, CA 93612, United States
I recently went to the Olive Garden in Clovis. This is a restaurant that is further away from us than the Fresno store, although to be fair, I have never gone to the Fresno OG store I don’t have any reason too either, we do not mind the drive because of a few individuals at the Clovis/Shaw location… plus, the food and customer service is always so good.Recently we went and were introduced to Michelle Van Laar and one of her assistant managers Becky. I want to thank both of you ladies for the kindness, warmth, the customer service you both showed and provided. Good customer service typically starts from the top and in this case, it certainly shows. The food from the kitchen was delicious and warm, the refills, the breadsticks, and the soups that we ordered from the all-you-can-eat can be time-consuming for a waiter, but they handled it professionally. We had a larger party of 7 so there were many moving parts and requests coming at the servers. Your store employees flow like a well-oiled machine.I promise you ladies that you have earned our business and support for your restaurant. I want to thank Michelle, Becky and our server Eric ? once again for the memorable evening out with family. Keep up the happy smiles. We will see you shortly.

Scoops, Soups, & More
433 Pollasky Ave, Clovis, CA 93612, United States
I know this place is a staple in old town. I've wanted to love it and man have I tried, but time after time I get terrible service. Most of the time I can brush it off but this most recent bad experience really broke my heart. I work in special education and we walked a group of our severely disabled kiddos over from a local school for an end of the year treat. The lady working was older and one of the least friendly people I have ever met. I had to prop the door open to push one of my students in a wheelchair through and was promptly scolded that I needed to close the door (which of course I was planning on doing once I got my student through the doorway). Some of our students were having difficulty eating ice cream off of the cones so I asked for a few bowls and spoons and was told that I would have to pay for them. I don't know, our students don't get to go out into the community much and it just broke my heart that this lady couldn't even greet them with a warm hello, let alone a smile. Unfortunately this was not the first time that I've had a negative experience with soups and scoops but it will be my last. Only reason for 2 stars and not 1 is because the ice cream is actually pretty good and they are generous with scoop sizes.

Panera Bread
1260 Shaw Ave Suite 111, Clovis, CA 93612, United States
Panera Bread at Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis has become a favorite spot for me, particularly for its comforting tomato soup and the savory Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. These dishes have a special place in my culinary preferences, consistently delivering in both taste and satisfaction. One of the most welcoming aspects of this location is the staff. Every visit is greeted with warm smiles and friendly service, making each dining experience feel personal and inviting. The efficiency of the service here is noteworthy; from placing an order to receiving my meal, the process usually takes just about 10-12 minutes. This swift service, combined with the warmth of the staff, makes for a delightful visit every time. The tomato soup at this location deserves a special mention. It always tastes fresh, with a rich flavor that soothes the soul. Paired with the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt, it creates a meal that is both filling and gratifying. Additionally, the Pick Two option is a perfect choice for someone like me who enjoys variety without feeling overly stuffed.Cleanliness is another aspect where this Panera Bread excels. The staff takes great care in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. This attention to cleanliness and hygiene is reassuring and enhances the dining experience.

Clovis Smogs

The technician failed my car which is fine, but it passed all tests and he said he couldn't pass it because the “headers looked modified” I've never touched the headers on the car and just bought it from my cousin who made sure it was all stock. Before he failed it, we checked up on him in the testing area and he was looking at pictures on his computer of the stock headers and they looked EXACTLY the same. We asked how it was going and he told us he thought they may be aftermarket headers, but wasn't sure and remarked that he hadn't honestly worked on many Lexus' before. If it failed the visual inspection, he could have just told me it wouldn't pass and foregone the other tests so he wouldn't have to charge me. He decided to run all the tests and charge a college kid $50 just based on his hunch. I hope the tech feels good about doing that because the rest of the smog shops I've been to on Clovis/Barstow have INTEGRITY and MORALS have never done that to me and in fact have sent me away without charging me because a car wouldn't pass the visual inspection. Kudos to you, technician guy; you lost a customer and I will warn everyone I know to stay as far away from your shop as possible.

TPKS Tacos Clovis
635 W Shaw Ave #103, Clovis, CA 93612, United States
Holy Mexican Food! This food is BEYOND good! But let me first tell you the customer service was AMAZING! We felt like we were regulars. Our first day we grabbed a wet chile verde torta combo with fries (“ahogada” on the menu), mega quesabirria and a breakfast burrito. Eat the fries WITH the torta = wow. Quesabirria comes with delicious consommé but the meat is so juicy and delicious by itself that you forget to dip! Breakfast burrito is a great way to start your day. We HAD TO come back for miches and a wet carnitas burrito for dinner. One mango and one cucumber miche for us and it is LITERALLY THE BEST I've had in all of Fresno/Clovis. This is a MUST try! Check their TikTok @559_tpks for pics and videos!

Fleurichi Express Sushi
1936 Clovis Ave, Clovis, CA 93612, United States
After driving by and thru the intersection of Shaw and Clovis Avenues since 1990 on the northwest corner sits a culinary gem!! The establishment is the Fleurichi Express Sushi. Their address is 1936 Clovis Ave., Clovis, CA. When I first moved here[1990] the best Sushi was Yoshinos. Since that time many, many have opened and closed!! Since COVID, more and more restaurants have made themselves a current culture of take outs, drive thru's and home delivery, in an effort to remain a successful food establishment. From a former successful restaurants owner of 30 years, kudos to this mom and pop operation!! Don't make the same mistake I did. Get in there!! My first time taste was their Caterpillar Roll and Eel Sushi Roll!! Even the kids and grandkids said it was “the Bomb”. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars each for food, service and cleanliness(in place of atmosphere). Congratulations and continued success!!?Sincerely-Fred F., Clovis, CA

Old Town 500 Club Bar & Grill
500 Clovis Ave, Clovis, CA 93612, United States
Came in here while waiting for car at garage and was pleasantly surprised initially at how clean this BAR is...had a cosmo and it was done well. Service was with a smile and helpful on recommendations. Side salad was very fresh and cold! (If only more places would do this!) Delicious with actual veggies not just lettuce with 2 carrot shavings. The roll it came with was hot and crispy outer, so good! I ordered the grilled salmon and although a tad bit on the salty side for my pallet, it was seasoned well and good sized. Veggies (zuchinni mix) was also seasoned and cooked well. Baked potato was great! I have mentioned before I am a home chef, so Im usually not that impressed round here, hope to visit again soon with family. Total thumbs up! Even the bathrooms are updated and super clean! ?? (just had to take pic) ?
