Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
1051 W Rancho Vista Blvd, Palmdale, CA 93551, United States
For context: Recently went here to celebrate my birthday with my family. Ive had that tradition for many years now so this definitely wasnt my first time here.Wait:As a party of 9 on a Thursday it was a 30 minute wait though we were told it would be 45 minutes. So the wait was not terrible.Service:It felt like our server didnt come by often enough but that may just be my own bias speaking. When he asked if we wanted cheese on our soups we all said yes except for one person but he then handed out the soups with no cheese on any of them. No idea where his brain was at. Later he provided the salad but didnt even ask if we wanted cheese. Very unusual experience for Olive Garden. Wine wasnt offered as it usually is either.Food:Something is different about the recipes or the chef because the zuppa Toscana was slightly spicier and the chicken gnocchi tasted like nothing. The garlic bread was stale and had no flavor either and our whole table was in agreement about it that. Even worse, the sausage in the zuppa Toscana looked undercooked. Ive had it several times and have even made it many times at home so I could tell the sausage was way too pink. To top it off, the first soup I got had a hair in it. By the end of it, I gave up and only ate the salad. No one at our table actually ate their soups because we all agreed they had no taste.Atmosphere:You cant find real fine dining in the AV but this is a nice pretend place if you are poor and want to pretend to be fancy. The environment is still loud and you still hear happy birthday songs being sung every hour so it is what it is. Additionally, you can tell the building has been running its course because if you just look up there are numerous wood panels that are warped and not aligned correctly. I suspect water damage but it might be something else.Overall:It was a huge disappointment and Im definitely not coming here for my birthday again. Something about this place has changed...maybe not overnight but in all these years its just gotten so trashy and the quality of the food just isnt the same anymore.
Panera Bread
39403 10th St W, Palmdale, CA 93551, United States
Theyve drastically increased their prices - a You Pick Two (TINY cup of soup and half a sandwich) is nearly $15! Then they didnt even put any meat on our Turkey Avocado BLTs. It was a pickup order so we didnt notice the error until we got home (20 minutes away, so not worth driving back to the store). We wont be eating at Panera Bread again - well spend our money at locally-owned restaurants who actually make an effort to provide quality food at reasonable prices.

I found a pretty lengthy hair in my food, clearly not mine since I have short hair and I know it was from the woman who put my food together. If youve been to this place, there are 2 pretty frequent employees there, I havent seen any other employees working the front. A man and a woman. I only go to this place because they have pretty good cooks in the back and I love how this place makes their food. My 2nd go to is the Dragon Garden on Valley Central Way up north near Ave. J. I have never received good service from the woman. She always has some sort of bad mood and honestly finding her hair in my food is the icing on the cake. Absolutely disgusting. I feel sorry for the cooks in the back that have to work with her since they make such great food but she gives such terrible service. I dont ask for much. I just get an extra sweet & sour sauce for the fried rice. Wont be coming here again and for all of you, make sure to check for hair. Good luck!

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE MORE THAN 5 STARS I WOULD! Yelp did not let me down with this one. The food here is excellent! The 3 Meat Combo was great. The lamb is tender and the chicken and beef were so flavorful. If you like spice like me, the hot sauce is some of the best that Ive ever had. The rice tastes great with their homemade yogurt. The lentil soup is so creamy and delicious. I would definitely recommend the spicy potatoes. They are so well seasoned and flavorful. The portion sizes are great. I wasnt even able to finish half the food in one sitting. Usually hummus and yogurt tastes the same at most restaurants, but the flavors are so unique here. On top of all the great food, THE SERVICE IS EXCELLENT! The woman behind the counter, I think her name was Riham, is the nicest person! She takes great care of every customer. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE IN THE AREA!

The food at this restaurant is wonderfully exquisite; the leg soup and pupusas are my favorites. The fresh waters are also very delicious.
Meechys Cheesecakes

I love the idea of the restaurant but the food isnt that great. The tomato soup tastes like tomato sauce, the pastas and sandwiches are only okay. The cheesesteaks and cheesecakes are delicious! Hoping they update their food quality.
Shogun Sushi
828 E Ave Q6, Palmdale, CA 93550, United States
Love this place. Hard to get in sometimes as it is very small and a very, very small parking lot (maybe 8 spaces) but plenty of street parking. Also difficult to find if you don't already know where it is. Kind of off the beaten path. Recommend putting it in the nav and letting it tell you where to go. I'm not a sushi person, but their cooked food is superb. Recommend the Golden Shrimp. Most amazing taste I've ever experienced for seafood. I can eat those things all day, every day. Cannot even try to explain the flavor, maybe the best I can do is a very mild teriyaki with a smokey flavor. Intense flavor to say the least. The rest of my family are sushi types and they rave about that, too.Update: it looks like they have permanently closed. So sad :( I will now have to find another chef to make me golden shrimp but fear that it was a unique dish and will never have my pallet served that wonderful taste. Thanks Masa for the great food!Update 2: it looks as though it has reopened. I have not returned so I can't say if the menu is the same, and whether or not my wonderfully lovely Golden Shrimp are still there. I will have to stop by and see if it still holds up as before.
Figueroas Mexican Grill

It feels like Im eating my moms cooking. What else can I say. The chef comes to your table and asks if there is anything else she can help you with. She makes all the tortillas, soups and the deserts every morning! It really is like your grandma making you food. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!PoGo players, there is a gym reachable from the restaurant. Worth coming here.

Very delicious food, we have been customers since he sold tacos at his house. And now that it has more variety of food we love eating there. Delicious barbecue, the burritos are well prepared, plenty of meat, the Menudo very clean without any fat, the first time I order nachos and wow, very well prepared. Reasonable prices I recommend it
Jasmine Thai Restaurant

What an outstanding Thai Restaurant! We tried one of their soups, crab cheese wontons, and the Tangerine shrimp, and it was all delicious. Best Thai food weve had in a long time. Youre lucky to have such a great place for Thai food in Palmdale. We also grabbed the combination pineapple fried rice and Wonton soup to go, and it too was out of this world!
