Las Margaritas Restaurant
131 E La Verne Ave, Pomona, CA 91767, United States
Im not really into eating Mexican food. IF I do its mainly soups/caldos like pozole, menudo, albondigas, de rez, de pollo. Even then I have had some bad soups/caldos. I have not eaten at one good Mexican place that has wowed me. Aside from my family that comes to visit from Mexicali or my late beloved grama nothing else compares. Until today...at this restaurant. The chilaquiles blew me away! The chile verde is flavorful and tasty. The guacamole is good and looks freshly prepared. The chips taste fresh and crispy. The chiles rellenos were delicious. The waitress was very nice and attentive. If youre looking for a good, tasty and delicious Mexican food place come here.

Forget what you think you know about a good burger is, and then order a Bourbon Burger. WARING: This is burger is addictive and delicious AF! In our most recent visit to our new favorite restaurant we tried the famous bourbon burger, smoothie, elote, and cookies!Firstly lets talk about Gorgansons very proud and friendly owner Mark. He was amazing we not only felt the love, we could taste it!The Bourbon Burger was something to remember the sweet bourbon sauce, and spicy bite of serrano chili, and the grilled onions! The burger had me wanting more, more, MORE!The elote was a nice treat to from what I saw my daughter stole the entire plate! She absolutely devoured it, although shes only 3 she gave me the thumbs up on the corn for her review. The smooth was perfect for this hot summer day to help cool us down. My son and daughter loved the smoothie, but adored the cookies. Chunky gooey and just so damn perfect! I as well as my family can not wait to drive back for the food. Oh yeah I drove from Rialto to Pomona just for Gorgansons!!!
Crockett Cocina

Crockett Cocina is a newly added gem in the sleepy town of Crockett. I have enjoyed several meals since they opened in the beginning of the year and all the food was outstanding in quality, freshness, and taste. The small cozy restaurant has inside and outside seating, the service is friendly and willing to please.I decided it was time to give their cippino dish a shot on this chilly February night and it was a delightful mix of cod, shrimp, mussels, and clams. The tomato sauce was very tasty and the flavors of the seafood blended nicely. The serving was huge I could only eat half and comes with a few pieces of toasted bread, but I chose to stop in at the local Wanda's bakery and brought with me a sourdough loaf to sop up the yummy sauce with.In my opinion it is not as good as the traditional crab cippino I'm used to from the city from places like the original Aliotos, or the lazy man's cippino from Scomas but at this price point it was an amazing dish that warmed me right up and filled my belly.I enjoyed my dine in experience and left there with a to go bag that will be a pleasure to consume later tonight.Give this place a try you are sure to find something that will satisfy your hunger.I'm glad this place is here in my hometown and hope it stays around awhile.

We are really excited about this new place opening up in our neighborhood (and being open a bit later than other places post-2020). We went in around 8:45pm and were one of three parties. It's a great place for our neighborhood and a convenient walk, but if you're driving along the 10 freeway and need takeout, I'd suggest phoning an order in (it took a standard 10-15 mins for one takeout order at the end of the night). There's a small parking area nearby and street parking on White and nearby streets.Service for dine-in was fine and quick. It was our server's first day so we could tell she was getting used to the system, but she was attentive and friendly. We liked that the menu was pretty small and fresh. All the flavors were on point. We had the:- House Special Beef Noodles,- xiao long bao,- pork steamed dumplings,- black tea (no sweetener), and- the taro balls for dessert.I preferred things with the spicy-tangy sauces, which were a nice level of heat without being too spicy (I could have gone a little spicier, but it was good). The beef was really tender and it's clear why that's the house special.A few suggestions:- I wish the xiao long bao retained more soup.- If possible, it would be great to see a veggie or vegan option of dumplings in the future to mix it up or for when family/friends visit- There was no background music, so dining late at night with two other groups in such a small place felt a little awkward (especially since some people were watching a show on their phone). Putting on a radio station, even quietly in the background, would be great to relax the atmosphere a bit.- Hopefully dine-in options will have more cutlery that aren't plastic. It's nice to dine somewhere and avoid creating all the garbage that we all got used to in the pandemic. We'll definitely be back and look forward to trying more menu items! I can't wait to dine on the patio when it's a bit warmer.

This is a review during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I can see why everyone is giving this place great reviews. From the moment you order till you eat the food, it has been a great experience. Glad me and my family were able to find this Vegan Mexican Food place! Now I don't have to drive all the way to Baldwin Park!I first called to see if they were open, and the lady that picked up was super friendly. She also gave suggestions on what are the most popular dishes.FoodI wanted to try so much! Ended up ordering these:Wet Burrito with Al Pastor- very good with the red sauce they have. Not spicy.Loaded Nachos with Half Pastor and Half Asada- the chips that they have seemed freshly made. This was so good, I just wished there was a bit more chips inside!Asada And Al Pastor Street Tacos- these two were great, but I would recommend the Al Pastor, as they taste very similar to real Al Pastor with the pineapple. When you arrive, since there is no dine in, they have a side door where you will be able to pick up your order. Keep note that they do take credit card and Apple Pay, but they will need to take the card or device inside to a register, so I decided to just use my card instead of giving my phone. They also take $1 charge for credit card transactions, just so you know. You can park off the street right close to the window.Like I mentioned earlier all the food was delicious. I can now add my rating to the reviews and recommend this place for Vegan Mexican Food. They did say they had 5 different types of street tacos, including cactus, and chorizo and potatoes, will give it a try next time. One last thing to note is that they have Uber Eats in case anyone wants food delivered. I have a feeling I will visit again very soon. Until then!

Such an amazing restaurant with a quaint local history. An establishment if there ever was one. Great homemade hummus and other dips. Love their salads, soups, and sandwiches. Really good portions. Always leave satisfied and have good service. Can be busy, and self-seating can be tricky, but also makes it fun; never sat in the same place twice.
Thai Orchid Garden

Weve been looking for a good, local Thai food restaurant. We didnt expect to find one of the best, if not The best Thai food restaurant around. Food, service, atmosphere; all amazing. My wife and I had Pad-See-Lew with beef, Tom Yum Kai soup, veggie spring rolls and the Beef Satay. Definitely coming back.I feel like the one star reviews here are only trying to promote themselves or another restaurant-Get outa here. This place is great. Our server was a sweetheart, we all shared laughs and smiles.I would like to apologize to her again for ordering a Sapporo as my first drink. Singha is where its at! Thank you again.
The Slummin Gourmet

This restaurant started from a food truck. Now its found a permanent home in Pomona. Chef is taiwanese, food was mixture of asian influence, easy finger food thats gourmet. Was able to try top selling items for the last 8 years. Tasted lobster corndog, hamachi tartare taco. This was my favorite. All the sliders were great kobe beef slider, pork belly asian style slider. The meat melts in ur mouth. The fried oyster taco was interesting and different. Walnut shrimp taco was another favorite. They have spring rolls here too, will come back and try other breakfast and lunch items.
