Panera Bread
3121 Crow Canyon Pl, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
This is the first PB restaurant in which I was served soup with a plastic spoon and knife. Im not sure that the plastic is intended for use with hot dishes. In addition, a plastic spoon terribly uncomfortable. I got only one napkin, which was under the plate. Usually they always bring 2-3. The food itself is normal, it was tasty, but quite uncomfortable to eat.

Modest and cozy decor, with some of the best sandwhich bread in the area. their durch crunch is both crispy, yet soft to the bite and full of flavor. wont scratch your mouth despite the satisfying crunch you get from it, and all the snadwhiches are tastefully crafted with the ingredients and even their calorie counts displayed for you right at the counter. its an experience thats especially worth it for a casual lunch date. the cali clasico was so good i didnt even stop myself to take a photo

The Gurkha Kitchen

The Gurkha Kitchen is a new addition to the list of Indian restaurants in the trivalley area. I went there with my family and kids and ordered Veg momos, Veg Chowmein, Chili Paneer, Garlic Naan, and Paneer Shimla Mirch. I would rate the food 3 on 5 for the following reasons.1. Chili Paneer was extremely spicy. Please avoid it if u cant take the heat. Our tongue was almost on fire.2. Paneer Shimla mirch was Paneer Tikka Masala with Capsicum added to it. Nevertheless, the taste was good.3. Chowmein was decent that kids could eat with good portion size.4. Garlic Naan was indeed very good, soft and thin.5. Momos was pretty tasty, too. They have free chai for chai lovers. With respect to the ambiance, it almost feels like a fast food restaurant the moment u enter. They have a lot of take out orders and hence it took some time for them to deliver our food. However, the staff is extremely hospitable and friendly. My review is based on vegetarian options.
Swaraj India Restaurant & Bar San Ramon
500 Bollinger Canyon Way Suite A1, San Ramon, CA 94582, United States
This is an authentic Maharastrian restaurant with delicious food. I’ve tried their Milpitas Food truck as well as Santa Clara restaurant. This newly opened restaurant in San Ramon is the best of the three. Great ambience and service. Food was delicious right from appetizers, soup to entrees and rotis. Mohan’s hospitality made the experience even more pleasurable. Must try!

Ukai Japanese Bistro

Good service and nice atmosphere, however the food wasnt great. We had the dinner special, one with spicy spicy chicken and tempura, and the other with saba shioyaki and potato croquette, and we also ordered the Madagascar roll. The miso soup that came with the special was a little salty, possibly because of the bonito flakes added to it. The tempura was inconsistently cooked (batter either soft or overfried), and the saba was overcooked. Spicy chicken was a little too spicy but bearable and the croquettes were pretty good. The Madagascar roll was unique and tasty and I would recommend it (however caution as it has macadamia nuts). Overall it was a good dining experience, I would recommend rolls over the set meals if you choose to go here.
Origami

The TL;DR. I've only had the rice wraps here, and the taste is perfect. Excellent quality sashimi and a great balance of rice, fish, and the other ingredients. Every bite is ?. The only issue I have is that you get a pretty small amount of food for the cost. I'm attributing this to the higher cost of quality ingredients. If you're looking for an excellent tasting sushi wrap experience, check this place out. But if you're looking to get full at the $10-15 price point, you may want to get a small bite somewhere else after eating here. The conflict I have is, I wouldn't necessarily want this restaurant to lower the price of the food by using lower quality ingredients. Maybe they could include a lower priced side with the wraps to help people feel more full afterwards?
Canyon Lakes Brewery

Been coming here regularly since it opened, won't be coming anymore. Went with my family, handed wrong expired card to the employee and it got denied. Nbd, it happens.Someone came out of the back and took the declined card situation way too seriously, asked us for a new card rudely. We apologized for the oversight, we handed her a new card, she then asked to see an ID along with the card.I said, “that's the first I've ever heard of that in my life”. She replied “it's normal restaurant policy, you're always required to check IDs on any credit card, we always check IDs”Lady was stand-off ish and wasn't a part of the usual wait staff. Staff is all great, whoever that lady is a racist. Her staff didn't even check my ID when I ordered a beer but wanted one for a credit card.I've been coming here frequently since it opened with my family and have never encountered anything so stupid. It's a shame, I won't be coming back ever again even though their beer is great, food is great, wait staff is usually great, that lady is just rude as hell.

There are three fast food restaurants.Pinto - Mexican cuisine,Quarterly - pizza and soups/salads,Bishop Farms - sandwich/soups.Price is a bit high. Very clean, friendly staff, spacious indoor and outdoor seating. But very few options for vegetarians.
Idly Express San Ramon
2426 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
My recent dining experience at Idli Express in San Ramon left me with mixed impressions, particularly due to noticeable disparities in food quality between the two locations - Mylapore and Idli Express despite their common ownership. Upon entering the establishment and reviewing the menu, it became apparent that both restaurants share the same proprietorship.I had high expectations, yet unfortunately, several dishes fell short of anticipated standards:1. Masala Vada (Ambode): Traditionally known as Ambode in Karnataka and Masala Vada in other Southern states of India, the version served here was disappointing. The addition of saunf imparted an unusual flavor, and the vada itself seemed stale, possibly due to hot weather conditions. The overall taste was bland, and the dal within tasted sour, suggesting a lack of freshness. This dish did not meet expectations.2. Thatte Idli: While the idli itself was soft and fluffy, the accompanying Coconut chutney lacked freshness, detracting from the overall experience.3. Bisibelebath: resembled more of a sambhar rice than authentic Bisibelebath, as the distinctive flavors were notably absent.4. Pongal: The Pongal was average in taste and presentation.5. Benne Masala Dosae: A highlight at the Pleasanton location, the version at San Ramon did not meet expectations. While the dosa had a good taste profile with generous ghee, it lacked the desired crispiness on the outside, which is a defining characteristic of this dish.6. Coffee: The coffee was above average in quality.I would recommend the owner concentrate on harmonizing the culinary standards between the Pleasanton and San Ramon branches to ensure consistency and meet customer expectations. Addressing these discrepancies promptly will be essential in retaining customer loyalty and satisfaction.Your consideration of these points will greatly benefit the overall dining experience and potentially enhance repeat patronage.
