My wife and I like to explore to find restaurants near or depends travel to different area and find these restaurants try their cuisine. We travel to South Gate a friend of our recommended this restaurant its a Vietnamese restaurant called Soup Shop. Asian cuisine like Vietnamese,Japanese,Chinese and Korean and other enthic are very popular with Latino enjoying good Asian cuisine but also springing up in Latinos community. The Soup Shop is a very popular with locals and others who come to visit the restaurant.We find a table right away then the waitress hand us a menu the we look what to order my wife decided to order the vegetarian p⁷ho and fried rice then I order the chicken pho and wings for appetizers. They brought the wings with garlic. Thev wings were cook perfectly and the garlic dipping sauce wereDelicious.. My chicken Pho was really good the broth was light and very favorable with spices and other ingredients I really enjoy it. My wife enjoy her Vegetarian pho she say the broth was ready rich flavors. The service was really good we need to comeback soon.

First time sitting and eating here.I rate restaurants like these on 3 standard basis, so here goes.1 - Taste: the chips with salsa were not seasoned and the salsa was too watery. the chilaquiles texture was good, the sauce was too thick for me, like it was mixed with flour or something, rice was good on both plates, beans were ok, my wife said she really like the fries, however, if I'm being completely honest, the milanesa tasted like an old piece of dee fried rug (not good). The thickness was like 1 cm.2 - Customer service: the waiter/cashier was kind and courteous. This restaurant seems to have only one person up front and no busser so some tables may not be empty after customers leave.3 - the price was decent, 11 for chilaquiles but around 13 or 16 for milanesa plate. Unfortunately this time the milanesa wasn't good at all and the price wasn't worth it for the taste.In essence, other plates can be delicious but ours were a bit underwhelming. Just taking a bit more time to plate the food better can make this place more enticing and please work on the milanesa.

I am constantly disappointed with this location, especially with their breakfast. This morning we took our kids here and while we typically order at the electronic kiosk, there was still NO ONE at the front counter. We ordered bagels and hot breakfast sandwiches, with bagels to go. There were no pagers at the time of payment to register to notify us when our order was ready, and no one called our name when the sandwiches were ready. So after finally going up to the counter, we were still not told it was our food. They sausage on the sandwich looked over cooked (which I know happens in those “ovens”), and I felt the sandwich. It was cold. The sausage patty was still fridge temperature cold. After mentioning it to several non attentive staff, I had to ask a woman specifically to remake it. She never asked if she could make the other 2 again, or if the other 2 were cold. After “remaking” my sandwich, she threw the plate on the counter. It was still cold. This is only one of several instances and poor service we've experienced here. I am done with this location.

So disappointed with this place. Came across it on Instagram the reels looked so mouthwatering and being that my dad is from Michoacan I wanted to relive the flavors of their amazing food. I ordered the puerco en chile Rojo no flavor! I had to add the hot chile oil in spoonfuls to get a decent flavor. My boyfriend ordered the Machaca like plate thats made with an egg but they couldnt add an egg that I had asked for because they dont serve breakfast my daughter ordered tacos de papa, those were so flat as if they were counting how many spoonfuls of papa per taco almost like a quesadilla flat with a whole salad on top to cover the papa tacos. I would not go back or recommend Im glad the other party we invited didnt show up.

These cold rainy days my wife was craving for soup not ordinary soup she want it albondiga soup or often called Mexican meatball soup. She wants a nice bowl of albondiga keep herself warm and its been a while she had some. We found this hole in wall restaurant in South Gate we step in the restaurant it was nice then we were greet by the owners of the restaurant they were very friendly. My wife ask they have albondiga soup they say just enough for one bowl only she want it. Then I decided order three deep fried potato tacos I enjoy potato tacos.When waited for our meal we talk to the owner very friendly they were tells us they orginal restaurant was on Gage Ave close to the Gage Bowling ally they were for 20 plus years they move to this location. They brought the food the albondiga soup smell really good it feel like my grandmother and mother made because the aroma of the smell. The tacos potato were very crisp and it have that crunch when I take the bite nice flavors and the rice and bean were very good.My wife albondiga soup was very good I enjoy it also it full flavors we both enjoy it. We need to come back again.

The food here is great. I love their fries and their little Chiles that they provide when asked for. This location has been in SouthGate for many years and still taste as great as when they opened. I would also like to appreciate how most of the time they ABSOULUTLY NAIL THEIR SODA! You can tell that they frequently wash the fountain soda because it doesnt have that NASTY taste of an old gym sock as in other places who do NOT clean it as frequently. I would also like to add on how great of prices they have! Back in the old days (about 7 years ago), a whole meal cost around $5. Now, obviously, it has gone up but at a reasonable price. A couple of things I would recommend would definitely be the bacon burger or the avocado bacon burger thingy ma-jingy. In conclusion, Zogos Burgers is a great place to buy your burgers.

The sushi rolls are awesome!!The appetizers are good but need some workThe teriyaki chicken is delicious!The restaurant is kind of small and has limited seatingNot many options to drink, no alcohol/sake/etc.The restroom is in the back and theres only 1 for both women and men, must lock it when in use and after finish usingThe wait times for your food are normal, not fast or slow and they let you know how long the wait will be if you order a baked dishThe staff is always polite and never seem grumpy even though...They get very busy at times since the food is so good for the priceThe only real cons are more about the setting and not the food. Limited Seating, Busy Parking lot (carwash on same lot) and Small restaurant with separate bathroom.I use to go from sushi spot to sushi spot trying each out and being disappointed in the taste vs the price but here the sushi is great for the price. I now come here at least once a week.

Pupusas were very tasty, not greasy and perfect masa to filling ratio. The curtido complimented the pupusa along with the right amount of spiciness. The plantains were ripe and sweet and when combined with the frijoles and crema it stimulates the taste buds in all directions. Great stuff!
