Thai T

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!! Some of the best Thai food Ive ever had ? When we visit a new town we always scout out the best Thai food around and this is definitely the place. Massaman curry is our favorite; here they have it listed as MusMun Curry but its the same flavor- super tasty! We also got cream cheese wontons and the E-San Sausage- both were amazing! We tried the Garlic White Pepper dinner- with shrimp. Most thoroughly prepared shrimp ive ever eaten at a restaurant- they cleaned the shrimp and deveined them the way I would at home- thoughtfully and completely, and the shrimp were HUGE and so flavorful... I kinda wanna drive all the way back to Rancho just to get some more of this place, especially the shrimp haha... Btw their Thai Tea was also bomb hahaha I was in town celebrating my 30th Birthday so I also ordered the fried banana, it was not what I was expecting but in the BEST way! It was soOoOOoo good! It had coconut and banana, fried up and served with some chocolate sauce for dipping... Also had some green tea ice cream that we devoured before we made it back to the hotel, so sorry no photos of that haha but trust me if youre searching for some absolutely delicious Thai food, search no further. Service was fast, they were super friendly, and the food was just incredible! Highly highly recommend =)
Pho Spot
8802 Base Line Rd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701, United States
If you are tired of the wait and indifferent service at Pho Ha as I was you have to come here. Restaurant is very clean, the Pho is excellent and the manager/owner is always there with a great smile and they are genuinely happy to serve.Water never goes empty, they happily give you extra jalapenos, sprouts, lime etc. The spring rolls are often rolled to order so you may wait a little longer than other restaurants but the food is so much fresher. What I really like is that they give a small dish of sauce for each customer rather than one for the table. No double dipping here! The sauce is also much better than Ive had at other places like 1 Pho Noodle & Grill. They have a great lunch special sandwich and the typical expansive menu but of course I go for the Pho Tai Nam Gan. Perhaps a little lighter in portion than Pho Ha, their broth is better, never oily and very consistent. My only concern is that they are located in a poorly managed strip mall and as a result arent as busy as they deserve. Thus they are understaffed and can on occasion miss a few beats if they get a rush but never out of indifference or incompetance. Of course if that happened consistently Im sure they would adjust the staffing. If you like Pho and suffer bad or indifferent service to get it, try Pho Saigon and suffer no more.Edit Remove

Red Tomatoes Farmers Market
9950 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, United States
I've lived in Rancho for 4 years and this is and Super King are really the only 2 grocery stores I go to, but since Red Tomatoes is closer, I always end up going here, instead. I have to say that the cleanliness and overall safety of this store has SIGNIFICANTLY declined during the past few years. I was there yesterday and I couldn't count how many gnats and flies were all over the produce section, it was absolutely disgusting and I ended up just getting dry-goods, instead. The produce is rarely fresh and it just sits there for days or weeks, until they actually replace it with fresh and SAFE produce.A few months ago I also purchased rice from this store, only to find out that it was infested with pantry moths. It wasn't until I opened our pantry that I found it had completely infested our pantry and it has taken me SIX months to get rid of them by using pantry moth traps that I luckily found on Amazon. I had to use several traps and counted over 50 moths that continually reproduced and infested our pantry (see picture).During the summer I went here a few times and during the days when the temperature outside was 100+ there was no AC running inside and it's always dark and muggy inside. It really makes you think about the sanitation and safety of all of the food products (especially the meat department).Having decent prices for groceries is one thing but my family's safety and health come before everything. The owner/management needs to take a thorough look at the store and start by mopping the disgusting floors and just sanitizing and cleaning it. We will not be shopping at Red Tomatoes any longer, unfortunately.
China Republic

Ate here yesterday. Im not sure if we gave off an air of being young (we range in age from 20-30) and therefore not good tippers or what have you, but the service here today was nothing like Ive ever experienced before. Immediately upon being seated (at a table right in the middle of the room, smack next to the kitchen, so you would think we would be seen quite clearly) the shenanigans started. It took about 10 min for anyone to ask us if we had been helped, which is fine they are busy I get that. But immediately upon receiving drinks and ordering an appetizer, they took away our menus (??) when we asked for them back, as we hadnt ordered yet, our waiter went oh and plopped down 1 for 7 people. Our 1 cousin was in charge of ordering so this was fine but if we hadnt been family, I imagine this wouldnt have been quite enough. We flag down our waiter and put in for the scallion pancakes (tasty by the way) and are still deciding on dumplings but I guess he decides we are done, and again takes the menu *out of my cousins hands* places it on the table next to us and walks away. It was bizarre. We look at each other in confusion, wondering what the heck is happening here. When he brings us the pancakes, we again ask for the menu back, to which he replies oh, you want to order MORE food? So far we have ordered cucumber salad, drinks, and scallion pancakes...so yeah I think we would probably want to get a few more things. He brings us the menu and we decide we had better hurry up and gtfo, as we had clearly offended him somehow. The rest of the meal was pretty uneventful. **Special shoutout to the food runner, I didnt catch his name but he kinda looked like Zach LaVine, was very polite and a big redeeming factor** So in conclusion, it was very weird. I guess dress nice (we had just gotten down the mountain from a trip so probably looked kinda rough-tights and t shirts) and maybe youll have a different experience.
Jojos Kitchen Taiwan Eats
8443 Haven Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, United States
Located in Haven City Market, this restaurant is the definitely the place to be. Haven City Market is a venue filled with vendors serving global bites, boba, coffee, desserts, and more. While you're here, you MUST check out Jojo's Kitchen! They serve all your favorite Taiwanese comfort foods such as beef noodle soup, mapo tofu, and Taiwanese sausage. They have both big and small eats so whether you're looking for a full meal or just a snack, Jojo's has you covered.FOOD:What I Ordered: Popcorn Chicken (Large), Braised Pork Belly over Rice, Lychee Green TeaPopcorn Chicken: First things first, these portions are insanely. The large popcorn chicken was packed to the brim with delicious, golden chicken. Definitely more than enough to share with an entire family. The popcorn chicken was perfectly crispy, well seasoned, and juicy. It wasn't too flavorful or greasy. It also came with sweet chili sauce that was the perfect complement!Braised Pork Belly Rice: For the braised pork belly dish, I could choose a base of either rice, noodles, or noodle soup. I chose to go with rice because braised pork belly rice is one of my all time favorite foods. The braised pork belly rice was absolute perfection and everything you'd want from this dish. The pork belly pieces were fatty and meaty creating an amazing flavor explosion with every bite. The dish also comes mustard greens which provides a vinegary contrast to help cut down and balanced on the fat. My absolute favorite part about the dish is the soy sauce eggs! ? I can eat soy sauce eggs all day! They provide such a creamy, richness to the dish. This is a PERFECT dish in my opinion.Lychee Green Tea: To wash down everything, I got some lychee green tea. I personally love fruit teas because they are super refreshing and not too sweet. They also have other flavors such as passion fruit, mango, and yogurt. You can also choose between green and black tea as a base. This drink was so nice to have on a hot summer day like this.LOCATION:I love that this stall is located in a food hall because it really adds to the ambiance. The whole market feels super lively and fun. There is plenty of indoor seating but also a beautiful outdoor seating area that is definitely worth checking out. There is also decent amount of parking available in the parking lot as well.SERVICE:The servers were super sweet and friendly. I asked them for recommendations and they told me the most popular dishes and helped me decide what to order. Getting your food is also super efficient since after you order they hand you a buzzer that will shake when your food is ready so you have time to just walk around, find a table, and relax while your food is being prepared.IG: @kristys.kravings
Mela Halal Meat & Grocery Store
9755 Arrow Route Suite K & L, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, United States
The new owner and his team are very nice & friendly. He has fresh young goat meat available daily and beef as well. Has his own butchery to cut as well. The butcher is very professional, I bought fish and goat meat and they were cut and clean very professionally, I have come across only a few who are able to do such a clean work. Also carries all sorts of fish from the Indian Subcontinent like Rohu, Katla, Coral, Hilsa that his team will clean and cut into steaks without any extra charge. Just call him and order the fish and go pick up. Also he carries a line of other small fishes like Gutum, Molla Black, Darsha Putti, Chapla, Sagor Puna, Koi, Balla, Bata, Lotia, Keski, Meni fish. Alongwith that he carries shrimp as well. Also his Shami kebab whether Beef/Chicken are very delicious and no one sells shami kebab in SOCAL at the store except him. His Beef/chicken biryani is also very delicious. He carries various rice like basmati, sona masoori, kaljeera and many more. His prices are also very reasonable whether for cooked food or raw meat/fish/chicken.I love this place which i found recently and I will be a regular customer for fish, goat meat and shami kebab. They will cook chicken/beef/goat meat for you at an additional cost of $10 if you buy from them, they use fresh spices to cook them and not the packed ones.I bought goat liver last week and it came out to be very good. The goat meat was of excellent quality, fresh young goat and clean not like the old regular frozen ones that other stores sell. They will even mince the meat for you whether beef/goat.I bought 5 small young chicken over the weekend and it came out to be very tasty when I made Indian curry out of it. It was properly cleaned and professionally cut and washed as well. They also have huge 10 lbs or more Mirgal and swai fish. All the fishes that they keep are freshly frozen and are fresh water fish and not salt water ocean fish.I have stopped buying fish, chicken, goat, beef from other regular stores like trader joes, ralphs, sprouts etc. I go to Mela Halal Meat and Grocery Store because of their high quality meat, chicken and fish.Last weekend I bought a 12lbs Katla fish, cleaned and cut in steak size. It really came out to tasty. I cooked in the curry style but one can marinate it with spices and then either fry it in oil or grill it. Previously, I tried the the 12lbs Mirgal, then Rohu, and finally Coral fish as well which also came out excellent.I like this store very much and really appreciate the new owner and his team on the wonderful work they are doing for bringing such a high quality food to the locals here in CA.I wish him the Very Best!
