Kaju Soft Tofu Restaurant -
8895 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
KAJU TOFU is located at the intersection of Magnolia Ave. and Garden Grove Boulevard, in the area called, Koreatown in Garden Grove. There is only one dining room, and the first thing to impress the new diner is the elegant wallpaper, and the wooden hangings on the wall, which resemble culinary tools or perhaps musical instruments. At the rear of the dining room, the interested person can view the kitchen. Also, at this part of the restaurant is a decorative facade, which adds an extra dimension to the room. From time to time, waitresses carry bowls of sizzling soups through the aisles to various tables. The menu is printed on glossy paper, which can be taken home as a souvenir. The quality of the food is first-rate, and since this was only my first time, I had my usual, bibimbap. I was glad that this dish came with several bowls of kimchee, as well as a bowl of miso. In particular, I was impressed by the amazing flavor of a red-colored sauce on some crunchy sliced zucchinis. And now for the not-so-good news. The waitresses dont seem to know English. I asked if they had daikon (white radish), but they were puzzled. Also, during the course of the meal, the waitress never came by to ask if I was doing okay. The servings of kimchee, and of the miso, at KAJU TOFU are half the size of the servings at nearby CHAM SUT GOL. I have been to CHAM SUT GOL on three occasions, and they provide more types of kimchee, and each saucer has twice as much kimchee as at KAJU TOFU, and also CHAM SUT GOL provides a large salad with the bibimbap. My experience tells me that both restaurants are typically filled with a friendly crowd, which is a plus for me, because I like the commotion that is provided by a group of happy diners. At any rate, I think that Ill stick with CHAM SUT GOL, because their portions of kimchee are twice the size, and also because CHAM SUT GOLs kimchee includes daikon (daikon is my very favorite).

Foods are too salty, restroom is dirty, . We came here with 10 people, i look it up their rating and reviews, it got 4.9 ..4.5 stars, it ‘s fake rating, not true . We ordered a lot of foods, sea foods soup, porks, tofu, the soup is tasteless, and the rest is too salty, they dont know how to cook, It is the worst restaurant in this area. They should be out of business soon if they dont change, or get a new chef cooks.
Vegan Stops
12563 S Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
I met Moe and his Vegan Stops at the South Pasadena Farmers Market (Thursdays in the mid afternoon until sundown). I am not even vegan or vegetarian so for many weeks, I passed right by without bothering. However, one day I decided to stop and pick up some babaganoush because I love that stuff and I also love saying babaganoush. Moe let me know I could pick up three dishes for a three dollar savings. Well, I already thought his price without the discount was stellar so I was sold! I tried the cauliflower with tahini, the eggplant with some sauce and I think red bell peppers and the hummus. Moe threw in a few extras for me since I was a first time customer. I am now a regular! What I do is I pick up 4-5 dishes and I eat it throughout the week during work-from-home days. It keeps me in the safe zone and not snacking on junk. The containers are freezer-friendly and also microwave safe. What a bonus! I feel so gut-good after a meal from vegan stops. And what is SO special about Moe in particular is that I lost sight of my young daughter while I was about the market. Moe spotted her and realized she was lost; he walked her to the information booth at the Farmers Market and waited there with her until I found them. WOW!! This is the kind of upstanding man we want in our community. Thank you Moe. And BLESSINGS to YOU!

Extremely good crab dish for about $40 but you get a whole fresh (raw) crab and they show you how to eat it so I was quite happy about it. The server opened up the crab and squeezed the meat out right there for you. I didn’t expect this awesome food performance from the food court type restaurant. Other Korean dishes are very good too. My favorites are the seafood pancake and the tofu soup. Totally worth a stop! One of the not many places I want to be back!

I came by and tried their ramen which was delicious! the broth was thick and full of flavor. I stopped by again around dinner time and ordered soft tofu stew. The service was great, the staff and cashier were very nice. The cook here did a great job because the tofu stew was very tasty. Everything here is cooked to perfection! They told me there is no msg or artificial flavoring added in any of their dishes which is amazing for the fact that all the dishes brought out many flavors! If you like authentic korean food I totally recommend this place, I have been to K-town and tried lots of other Korean dishes but this restaurant is on a different level!I am definitely going back here again!
Taira Sushi&Sake
8851 Garden Grove Blvd #113, Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
OMG! I wanted to gatekeep this place for a bit, but this spot is all bang for your buck. After extensive research, I came across this place on a whim. Ben and Ayako are the sweetest chef duo. They make the perfect team. I decided to take one of my besties here for her late birthday dinner. In an unassuming plaza, you can find Taira. The setting was very relaxed and welcoming. We went with the 12 piece omakase set for $84 per person. We added on the ankimo (since it was the best seasons to eat it) and the cold stewed eggplant for our appetizers. Both appetizers were delicious! It was probably the best ankimo weve ever had in our lives. Now onto our set .. every bite was perfect. All the seafood pieces tasted so fresh. Ben did a great job highlighting each piece of nigiri with complementing flavors. Im still thinking about it to this day. Since they are only a 2 person team, they keep their reservation slots small so that your experience isnt a super long journey. Ben is a one-person sushi chef. It was very intentional. During our visit, it was just us and one other party. We loved every minute of our experience. Ayako even brought out dessert for my friends birthday. It was like a black sesame pudding with some kind of matcha cake. We learned she had also made these dessert, and they were delicious! Cant wait to go back and take my husband!
Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ

The dinner was pretty good. My daughter and I shared the No. 3, which had 2 fried shrimps, a little bowl of rice, crab rangoons, cream cheese wontons, 2 bread pockets, and a baby egg roll. The crab rangoons and wontons feel like they could have more filling. The breads have a nice texture to the bite. My friends daughter likes to fill them with rice and dip them in soy sauce. The bbq bowl was good. Im not sure if it matters, but they dont have chicken here. The options were turkey, pork (I dont eat it), beef, and lamb. They have a good variety of veggies. I did wish they had jalapeños and water chestnuts. You can pour your sauces into your bowl. Im not sure what strong means, but theres that option, medium, and mild, along with oil, curry, lemon, etc. I do love it that they give us the option to pour as much chili oil into our food after we cook it. I did wish we can cook it into our food,, but but its ok. Ill take it. We also get the option of adding noodles into our food too upon request. Theyre also the good (I would like to say theyre lo-mein) noodles and not the lame spaghetti type noodles Ive had at other Mongolian Bbqs. I was told you could add rice too from my friend, but I could be wrong as I was in the middle of picking out my food selection while she was telling me all this. First time here and Ive passed by it a few times before, but never have gone until a friend invited us to go here. I liked the idea that its a sit down restaurant after creating your dish and the gentleman cooks it for you. My friend told me it gets pretty busy here even during the weekdays. We came here at 7 on a Wednesday and surprisingly it was just one other family and it so happened to be my friends inlaws! Nice welcoming people that work there. Very attentive to your needs. The inside of the restaurant looks clean and had nice lighting. My daughter said the restroom is a little far and the light flickers, might need to get that checked. If only they were open sooner, I would love to take my boyfriend here. Their fortune cookies are good and they actually make sense compared to some random nonsense Ive seen at other places - for example, You are a flower in the sky.. some mumbo jumbo like that. I got one that said that I would witness a miracle. Well lets hope I do! Thank you all again for your service. Well be back!

Loving Hut - Garden Grove
12050 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
I went to a couple days ago because vegan pizza was not open yet. I had the chow mein I shouldve taken some pictures but basically they were huge pieces of bok choy just dumped all over the top of the chow mein and they were like 3 inches long and I had to cut all of the vegetables into bite-size pieces. Then the fake beef they added to the dish was absolutely horrible and I literally had to spit it out. It tasted like it was out of date. They also added some fried tofu to the noodles the noodles in the fried tofu were just OK, but they didnt taste fresh. The entire dish didnt taste fresh. Im shocked to see that they actually have a good reviews because based on this dish, I would never eat at this restaurant again. I wound up spending $20 for the chow mein and a water and a juice and I only ate about 1/4 of the food before I just had to leave it.
