Pieology Pizzeria Granada Village, Granada Hills
17943 Chatsworth St Unit 30A, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
Of all the chipotle style custom pizza order places we have in Southern Cal., Pieology is probably my second favorite. I generally like what they do, though this particular experience was a letdown. We ordered delivery from here through one of the 3rd party delivery apps. Just 2 pies. They got the toppings right on both, but:1) One of the pies ordered as deep dish, came as a thick crust pie...so completely different size and experience between the two, and basically not what we ordered.2) The second, a basic cheese pie on thick crust, came with the cheese stuck to the top of the box, so when we opened it up all the cheese came off the pizza. (If you ever wondered what those little plastic table looking things that sometimes come in the middle of your delivery pizza are, now you know.So basically the entire order was not right. Thats tough when its a delivery order, especially through a third-party app. (Full disclosure, the delivery service gave a refund.)Were really limited in pizza options up here in the Santa Clarita Valley, so are happy that we can get Pieology imported via delivery from the San Fernando Valley and we hope in the future to not have this kind of experience doing so.
Taco Bell
11101 Woodley Ave, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
I stopped by this Taco Bell location today to take advantage of their happy hour freezes. I never been to this location before but I was in the area since I went to buy girls scout cookies from my niece who was selling nearby. This taco bell location was on the way back so I figure I would come here to try it. The lot that this Taco Bell is in is small like the other locations. When I walked in, I was going to order from the kiosk but I was confuse on the price because it was still happy hour but the prices were different. I havent been to a Taco bell in a while so I think the prices just went up so I ordered at the cashier. I got the Blue Raspberry Electric Strawberry freeze because I never had this flavor. I thought it was pretty good so I got 2 of it. This location seem pretty cleaned and they can fit a decent size of people inside for dining.

Siam Cuisine

Small extremely casual place with multiple signs stating they had no public bathrooms. Upon entering we were not greeted or seated. We almost walked out. There were 2 other customers at tables and one on bused table which soon became 3 unbused tables. There was faint music coming out of the speakers muffled by the annoying humming either from the speakers or the beverage refrigerator. Once our server came to take our order, she was friendly & informative. Food came quickly beginning with side salads. We opted for peanut dressing which was warm & bland. I looked around for salt & pepper and no table had them. I would have like pepper on my salad but we didnt see the server again until the rest of food arrived. The food was the best thing about this place. Im told the chicken yellow curry was good. Pah Thai was better than average. The BBQ combination was a good portion but a bit dry. Pork and ribs were chewy. The chicken, though not raw, may have tasted better fired up more. Shrimp fried rice was bland, but surprisingly had 2 shrimp, which I wasnt expecting. The Thai coffee was not good; it tasted more like the burnt rice coffee my grandmother made. Overall, the prices were reasonable but I think Ill pay a little more at my usual Thai place for better ambiance, food, bathroom, and service. Sorry, I wanted to like this place but they had too many negatives.
Pi On Sunset
10658 Zelzah Ave, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
Well this restaurant is a pleasant surprise. Itching to try a new Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant, we found out that Pi on Sunset is actually rather close to us.The ambiance is spacious with floor to ceiling glass window and open floor plan, although the disco music was a bit interesting. Different. But on the food side, Pi delivers! My parents love the chicken kebab, while I like the beef kebab just a bit more. You cant go wrong with eithertl be honest since they are savory and flavorful without being dry. The basmati rice is subtly aromatic and complements the kebabs very well. The hummus is also well made with good texture, consistency, and taste. Only thing I find a little bit lacking is the garlic sauce. Its a bit tangy and I have had better. Luckily, you dont really need it for these plates. The kebab and rice play center stage just fine.
Salata

As always, great food for vegans, vegetarian, and carnivores. Service with efficiency and a smile. These brothers have it figured on how to run a successful restaurant.
Rococo Ramen
16931 Devonshire St, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
Would not go again. My family lives in the neighborhood and I went to try it for the first time. I live in Koreatown so the ramen I usually eat is from Sawtelle. The ramen I ate here was truly mediocre and overpriced. With the same money I could buy artisan, hand made ramen with multiple toppings, and free unlimited broth, pickles, and chili oil or garlic on the side. Here, the table was empty on arrival — first impression is that this place doesn't rly offer customization. I paid $10 for 5-6 small takoyaki balls and then $17 each for 2 small bowls of ramen that consisted of 70% noodles, 28% SALTY salty broth, and 2% toppings (green onion, a touch of a single veggie, a piece of nori, and a tiny 1/2 egg) + 2 squares of pork. Lol and they didn't even serve us plates with the takoyaki so my mom started to eat it on a napkin. The noodles (which was pretty much the whole meal) were well made. But that was it. The ramen as a whole was extremely disappointing. Definitely not worth $60 for 2 people.Honestly, I wish it was good — I was ready to come back frequently if it impressed me.
Presto Pasta
17923 Chatsworth St #5606, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
Not so surprisingly, it doesn't take much to make good pasta. Noodles need to be al dente; not too mushy but certainly cooked. Sauce needs to have flavor nothing to bland and when you are at a “fast-food” joint you can't expect it to be overly seasoned. And toppings need to be tasty whether it be meats or veggies. Just cook them accordingly and slide them in that sauce.Presto Pasta does in amazing job of provide customizable pastas at a reasonable price. You can choose from the ever-flowing menu of pastas or even make your own type of pasta from a list of different toppings, sauces, noodle type...etc.I got the veggie penne pasta combo that includes a tasty morsel of garlic bread, a Caesar salad and a drink! Pasta (once I added a bit of pepper) was pretty tasty and a generous portion size. Certainly was enough for leftovers. The service was nice and fast. Didn't take long to receive our food and the staff was nice and helpful.Overall pretty legit place to get inexpensive, fast pasta. No its not authentic but its tasty! They also have gluten free noodles and whole wheat pasta. You can also get wine, how fancy!
Lolas Baja Tacos
17027 Chatsworth St, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
This one star review is because of the poor service I received from the management and not because of the food.We had a $3.00 off coupon we wanted to use which was on any appetizer. In fact, we were motivated to place an order because of the coupon. So we placed an order. I went to pick up the order but forgot the coupon at home. When I went there, the manager wouldn't allow the discount without the actual paper coupon. I apologized for forgetting it and I got a family member to text me the image of the coupon. The manager still wouldn't allow it. I said I'm 20 minutes away and they still wouldn't give me the discount. I had placed a $60 worth of order and they wouldn't give me the $3.00 off. It's not like I was ordering just an appetizer, it was a full dinner. Instead they let me cancel the order, lose the sale and left the food on their counter. Granted, I could have gone home and picked up the coupon, but it was a 40 min roundtrip and it wasn't worth it. I was still considering to get the order and just forget about the coupon but the principle of it all bothered me. The manager's attitude didn't make sense to me considering the situation. This was really a frustrating experience because this could have been easily a win win situation, but it ended up in a lose lose.A word of advice! DON'T FORGET YOUR COUPON!
House of Grill
16929 Devonshire St, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
My favorite Filipino restaurant in the L.A. area. Ive been coming since almost a decade ago in my college days. Wonderful customer service. Great variety. Vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian options...hefty portions. Remember to tip if you can.
Western Bagel
16970 San Fernando Mission Blvd, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
Its unfortunate that I have the need to write this negative review because Ive frequented this place for over 10 years, but management needs to be made aware of the horrible customer service skills of their staff and invest in training. I ordered 2 Traditionals, which I believe is their most expensive sandwich because it comes with lox. I ordered 1 with everything and 1 with no tomato and capers. After arriving back home and opening the bag, I noticed one sandwich didnt have lox. I drove back to this place to have the sandwich corrected. After informing the employee who had served me, he insisted that I said no tomato and lox. I told him hes wrong...theres no point to a lox sandwich without the lox. Anyways, he said that he would add the lox and ended up making me a new Traditional sandwich. I get the sandwich and then told that I have to pay for the lox because I wasnt charged for it. I told him I wasnt paying because I ordered 2 Traditionals and drove home and back to the place to get it corrected. He said he didnt make the mistake and needed to charge me. I noticed that customers around me were surprised by his response and shaking their heads in disgust. I told the employee that their service was horrible for making me waste time and money and that I wasnt paying and wanted my money refunded. So, in the end, the employee preferred to waste 2 sandwiches and upset a customer (and those watching) than add lox without charging. Even if I was wrong and made an error, which I know I didnt, correcting the order without charging me would have saved them from wasting food and resulted in a happy customer whod want to continue frequenting the place. I hope this message gets to their manager Rob so changes are made.
