India Restaurant La Habra
1920 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90631, United States
Ive ordered from India Restaurant La Habra twice so far: once shortly after it opened and another on a Sunday evening. Both times were for take out. I got the Tarka Dal and Garlic Naan the first time and got the Bhindi Masala, Tarka Dal and Garlic Naan the second time. Its all so delicious and filling!! The vegetable curries I get come with rice and the portions are pretty large so there is definitely enough for sharing. I love okra so the bhindi Masala is sooooo good and it has a touch of sweetness from the caramelized onions. And I love love love garlic Naan. I would eat a meal just of Naan if it wouldnt all go to my a$$. Im a vegetarian so you can easily find vegetarian curries and if youre vegan, there are some dishes noted that could be made vegan on the menu. If you are vegan, just be aware that some veg curries can have dairy and/or ghee. I will definitely continue to order here and Im so happy to have a delicious Indian place close to home! My ONLY critique is that, like other Indian restaurants, I wish this one would offer smaller portions of curries for cheaper in order to buy more than one to make like your own thali essentially. However, if you are buying as a group the portions here are perfect for that.

I am very conflicted. I want to like it here. The food is good. The people are very nice. It is the service. Every time I order take out from here I have to wait. This last time was unacceptable. They told me 45 minutes for pick up. I got there and paid and they told me they were still making my food. I waited for literally an hour after that just to have them tell me at the end that they ran out of noodles for one of my dishes. I dont know what to say. There was a line of people waiting with me. The kitchen is obviously very mismanaged. They tried to make it right by giving me free soup and tea. They should have just told me how far they were behind before I paid and given me the opportunity to cancel my order. I am unsure if I will be back. Again, I want to like this place, but waiting 2 hours for food when they tell you 45 minutes and then not communicating with you is not good business.
Nekter Juice Bar
1360 S Beach Blvd Suite C, La Habra, CA 90631, United States
This is my review regarding a recent rude experience at Nektar, the La Habra location. The incident occurred Thursday August 4, 2022 and I hope my sharing is of help to potential customers.(This is a lengthy review, but I want to be as transparent as possible...)I visited Nektar to request a business card. My mother was poorly treated by Nektar employees that same day and I wanted to resolve the situation as respectfully as possible. I saw two Nektar employees when I entered the establishment. I had no idea that these two employees were the same workers who had been rude earlier to my mother. I noticed one of the employees was staring at me in a mean-spirited way, but chose to wave it off. As someone who has worked in customer service, I get it--serving other people is not an easy job and I am sure these employees are dealing with so much. However, I was a little stunned by the open hostility. I asked one of the employees for a business card/contact information and relayed some of what had occured with my mothers treatment.I believe the rude treatment of my mother was racially motivated. Another African-American woman witnessed my mother exiting Nektar after the incident and confided that she too had experienced rude treatment at this same Nektar La Habra location. After hearing my mother share her experience, the woman shared that she had hoped management at this Nektar location had changed as she had stopped visiting Nektar La Habra for over a year. The woman decided to come back because she was trying to give this location a second chance, which is unfortunate. My mothers treatment and this womans treatment indicate rude behavior has been ongoing. The woman decided to leave Nektar La Habra that day without making a purchase. After leaving Nektar, I gave Shannon, the business manager, a call on behalf of my mother. I truly hoped for conflict resolution and some accountability to transpire on this call, but this was not the case.Shannon was very rude, continuously interrupting me even as I allowed her to speak. She was bent on protecting her employees even if their behavior was clearly wrong. She eventually threatened to end the phone call by hanging up. My response was that I would hang up instead seeing as she was not interested in having an adult conversation. I understand there are ALWAYS two sides to every story, however I wonder why all the blame was placed on my mother. Shannon stated that her employee, Ariana, apologized two times with the response of “I'm sorry, I'm busy.”This is untrue. What actively frustrated my mother was not being acknowledged as she entered Nektar and Ariana responding not with an apology but with, Im busy. Shannon reported that she watched footage of the event and concluded that the length of the video meant the encounter was not significant.Shannon continuously gave excuses for her workers rude behavior and also shared about working conditions. .She spoke about late deliveries. She said that family stress made it difficult for her to have certain conversations. Shannon shared that her employee Ariana was going through some tough life things and that I have no idea what she was taking on. Shannon also said that her employees age (20 years) was a viable excuse to treat customers poorly. Shannon was full of excuses, defensiveness, and refused to take any personal accountability. As the owner of four Nektar locations, I really question Shannons ability to lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and basic human respect. So, while my desires to remedy this interaction were rebuffed, I do hope my review here can be of service to future customers of Nektar, (especially the La Habra location) and that Nektar takes this feedback into consideration and focuses on equitable customer service. In the meantime, I recommend local institutions like Robeks and Movita for your smoothie and acai bowl deals. Not only are their offerings delicious, they are not served with a side order of rudeness :)Take care everyone and please share your stories.
Taco Bell
751 E Imperial Hwy, La Habra, CA 90631, United States
I was actually here a about 4 months ago. Time flies. It was very late in the evening and I was helped by a young woman at the drive thru. She was a little heavier set, with blonde hair and maybe glasses if I can remember. But she was awesome- so friendly, calm, professional. Many Taco Bell locations have frightfully bad customer service and I'm always nervous to go to any Taco Bell. I meant to write a review to compliment the young woman that same night but it was so late, I was so sleepy, and just now got around to it. Therefore it's honest to say she provided memorably good service. If only all Taco Bell locations could have such well behaved staff who understand customer service like second nature, like she did.

Ive heard a lot of my friends ask me Where Can i Find Authentic Indian Food. and I almost always ended up telling them to go to Artesia because its mini India. Today, I got dinner from RBanquet in La Habra and I must say it was THE BEST and MOST AUTHENTIC Indian Food Ive ever tasted in my life!! For those of you who really want to get a taste of authentic, give this place a visit. If its far for you, itll be worth the drive - Trust me! All the items on the menu are a MUST TRY! I am Vegetarian so some of the items ordered were: Daal Makhni (lentils), Paneer Butter Masala (cheese in gravy), Bharta (Roasted Eggplant). A lot of restaurants just microwave their eggplant, but this places actually roasts it to give the smokey flavor to it.Giving RBanquet just 5 stars isnt doing justice!!

Smoke and Fire Social Eatery
1327 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90631, United States
I dont know where to start... Most of you probably saw this on Tik Tok and decided to try it out like me and my girl did. We were looking forward to this all week. We were finally able to make it out there on a Saturday. Like most places these days there is a line outside due to Covid. I have to give credit where its due, their line was moving along fast. I think there was 30 people or so, in front of us when we got in line. Took about 20 minutes to get to the register and place our order. Great organization of a line to get you in and out so you are not waiting long. Now for the reason I only gave it 2 stars. Like most of you you probably want to try the delicious looking version of the McRib. Get to the register and they inform us that they are sold out of the McRib. Why not put a sign out front that says they are sold out so people can decided if they still want to wait in line or not. We brushed it off and decided to they their Smash burger, pretzel, and criss cross fries. Criss cross fries amazing, Smash burger was OK nothing special just a regular smash burger. Their pretzel and cheese was such a disappointment. The pretzel was cold and chewy, the cheese they give you for the pretzel was cold and the amount they gave you was very little. You are left with half a cold chewy pretzel when you are done with your cheese. In conclusion: My tip for you guys that want to try the McRib. Go in and ask if they are sold out of the McRib before you wait in line . You want a pretzel with cheese? Ask for double cheese and have them warm it up before they bring it out to you.P.S. They have some awesome art ?
The Green Chile (New Mexico Style)
2050 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90631, United States
Ok, this place was pretty good...Im currently on a quest for the best chile verde pork... (Theres a place in the Sepulveda pass that has GREAT green chili pork burritos called Lucys (not sure if it still there...)...anyway...This place advertised itself as the best green chile sauce in town.It was a good green chile sauce which they used for their pork burrito AND their green chile SOUP (!) Tasty, but not as hot as Id like, in fact, a little sweet...The chicken street tacos were good, grilled chicken chunks, and lots o meat. Everyone in our party was happy with their meal, tho I think the soup could use some veggies, like onion, celery, maybe bell peppers...If it loses a star, its because it lacks any kind of atmosphere. Bright fluorescent lights, tables and chairs, no booths. Small place, maybe holds 30, 40 max... feels like the kind of place youd bus your own plates, but you had a waitress. Prices were ok, not over priced like so many new trendy places. Try it.
