Nekter Juice Bar
5800 Nave Dr, Novato, CA 94949, United States
Ive had so many things on their menu and honestly theyre all delicious. I learned about Nekter when I lived in San Clemente and now that Ive moved to SF I stop at this place every time I drive through to see my parents in Sonoma County. The Napa location is great too. I use the mobile app when to order when Im about 10 minutes away and my order is always ready when I stop in. Ordering through the mobile app gets you lots of free perks. Made to order juices, smoothies, and bowls are always so fresh and feel nourishing.

Sourdough & Co.

The only way this place has 5 star is if they had friends and family write the reviews. Terrible terrible terrible. You can barely choke down a half of the sandwich with super sub par quality food items and nasty stale bread you find in a vending machine sandwich... Of course for highway robbery prices. I was basically robbed here. I would rather eat my shoe then ever have to go back to this place. Couldnt even finish it, no taste dry and disgusting. Go to Subway you will be way happier, and even more happier will be your wallet.
The Melt
880 De Long Ave, Novato, CA 94945, United States
My recent experience at The Melt left me with an undeniable appreciation for the simplicity behind their culinary mastery and outstanding service. The Impossible Burger, the star of the show, was nothing short of perfection. The patty, cooked to the ideal degree, delivered a burst of juiciness and an explosion of flavors. The addition of melted cheddar brought a creamy richness that elevated the entire experience to a new level. The jalapeño and pickle mix provided a welcome kick, infusing each bite with a refreshing zest. The Melt sauce served as the pièce de résistance, seamlessly tying together all the elements with its savory goodness. And the toasted, artisan bun? A marvel in itself, with a crispy exterior giving way to a soft and pillowy interior, creating the perfect vessel for this mouthwatering creation. What truly set The Melt apart, however, was the exceptional service. Rolando, in particular, deserves commendation for orchestrating a seamless dining experience from start to finish. Despite the myriad of questions from my party, all of whom can be described as fussy eaters, he navigated with ease, enhancing our enjoyment of the meal. The entire staff exhibited a level of attentiveness, friendliness, and genuine concern for customer satisfaction that is rare to find. The restaurants atmosphere played a significant role in making the meal even more enjoyable. The inviting, modern yet cozy ambiance created the perfect backdrop for savoring the culinary delights offered. Whether you identify as a vegetarian or simply someone seeking an innovative and delicious burger, The Melt is unequivocally the place to be.In conclusion, my visit to The Melt was nothing short of a five-star experience. From the scrumptious Vegetarian Impossible Burger to the outstanding service, this establishment has unequivocally won me over. I eagerly anticipate returning for more of those mouthwatering flavors and the genuine warmth of The Melts hospitality. This is more than a recommendation; its a comfort-food culinary adventure that should not be missed!
Marvins Breakfast Club
1112 Grant Ave, Novato, CA 94945, United States
Having to explain why this place deserves 5 stars is actually pretty silly. It is clearly a community staple with a friendly workforce and skilled breakfast cooks. I enjoy every-time I come here, not only because you can get breakfast for lunch, but because there is this repore that you can instantly jump into with the staff where they just laugh at your dumb jokes and remember you after your first few times eating there. The food you ask? How is it? Fantastic. Though I will admit I rarely stray from the mainstays. Bacon, sausages, eggs over easy (done perfectly every-time), and of course #potatoes. Actually, their hash-browns are my definition of what this dish should always be. Just the right amount of crunchy golden potato crust with an almost steamed center that has a nice mild fresh potato flavor to it. Every kind of hot-sauce you need is just a reach away as well for that perfect final seasoning. Oh and, one more thing. The pancakes here. Very very very good pancakes. Not complicated, just perfectly fluffy cakes, tender but with enough of a chew to satisfy and stand-up to the Buttergeddon and Syrupaside that I put them through.Funny factoid; I cannot (and do not want to) eat all that much in one sitting, but every-time I come to Marvins I eat at least 2 eggs, bacon or sausages, a plate of hash-browns, and the aforementioned, almost plate-sized, pancakes(2), smeared with butter and drowned in syrup. How is this possible for a 145 pound dude who is technically scarfing down his 2nd breakfast? Its not! See? Explain that with your precious science! You cant, can you!? Its just Marvins breakfast magic.
Local Kitchens
880 De Long Ave, Novato, CA 94945, United States
This is a new addition to the Novato area and my family was excited to try it! My wife loves the SF one so I was looking forward to it. I really like the Emeryville style food court and was hoping this would hold a candle to it.When we arrived, it was INSANELY busy. However its a brand new spot and I figured everyone and their momma would be there (they were). We ordered (and ran up a decent tab) but were told that it would be a 40-50 minute wait. That sucked. A lot of the orders was either Uber Eats or DoorDash. If you are hungry and want to eat soon I would recommend something else. However if you like to do a lot of food delivery, this might be your jam. Just order well in advance. I kinda like eating food hot and fresh so delivery is always a let down. That and delivery people ALWAYS screw up my delivery address where I live. No one reads anymore lol. While there I ordered a fried chicken sandwich but was told they were out. Ok, kind of a bummer but moving on, I ordered a Bacon Burger from The Melt. My son ordered Chicken Strips from Proposition Chicken and My wife got a Sushi Burrito from Sushirrito. We also got a small container of Vietnamese Coffee ice cream. That was probably the best thing and I dont even like sweets. The burger was good. I would have it again. The chicken strips were dry though. The batter was good but I think overcooked. Maybe 1-2 minutes less and it wouldve been perfect. The burrito wasnt bad either. In closing Ill give it another shot when its not insane and recap.
Dr. Insomniacs Fine Coffee, Tea, Smoothies & Cafe
800 Grant Ave, Novato, CA 94945, United States
Hands down, my favorite coffee shop in Marin, due to:-Great coffee (beans, brewed, and specialty drinks) at a competitively affordable price-Kind cashiers & servers supported by experienced baristas, cooks, and owners who - although the shop is usually crowded & busy during peak hours - are able to whittle down the line, serve orders rapidly and to personal preference, and remember their regular customers go-to orders-Yummy smoothies made with fresh & natural ingredients-Freshly baked pastries & goodies to satisfy your sweet tooth-An extensive and sumptuous breakfast & lunch menu, with the best breakfast burritos in town-A cozy outdoor patio with ample seating & a quaint, homey indoor dining area; both great areas to chat with friends, get work done, or read a book-Kind and generous customers who respect the staff, each other, & social distancing guidelines-A clean restroom
Forks & Fingers Catering and take out
372 Bel Marin Keys Blvd, Novato, CA 94949, United States
My experience: I work near the restaurant and have eaten there roughly 4 times. Attention to the details below were conducted each timeThe Food: Good Quality, Tasty, Reasonably pricedThe Location: Good Size, Acceptable decorThe Staff: Friendly and welcomingNeeds work:CLEANLINESS AND HYGEINE1. Bare hands touching food. Didnt see hand washing (with soap) on any visit. Gloves really should be used since hands not washed. Have personally seen owner exchange cash and proceed directly to making an order (sometimes giving fingertips a water rinse).2. Im a little concerned with the pans they reuse to for the conveyer oven. Melted cheese and stuff is on it but I noticed they were used for new orders. This restaurant is very decent and provides valuable (and delicious) food options for the area. My only concern is for the health of their patrons. I will consider eating there again, but only after changes to food handling and dishwashing procedures are made.
Blazers Smokehouse & Beer Garden
7380 Redwood Blvd, Novato, CA 94945, United States
When you have family visiting it can be hard to find places that fit everybodys dietary needs. Blazers seemed like a great choice because they had vegan options, along with meat entrees. This restaurant obviously does not know the difference between vegetarian to vegan. We dont expect to be catered to but we do expect a restaurant to not say something is vegan when it is not. At least 3-5 things on the menu had the vegan (specifically said vegan, not just vegetarian) marking on them and they were not. To make them vegan we had to substitute basically everything on them. The BBQ cauliflower was bleh. This place may be great as a vegetarian but not for a vegan. They need to fix their menu to reflect the dishes properly. That is the bare minimum.
Ayawaska Hilltop Novato
850 Lamont Ave, Novato, CA 94945, United States
This restaurant is situated on a hilltop with beautiful views of Northern Marin, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu focuses on Peruvian dishes and has several options for both vegans and vegetarians. The servers are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We came for cocktails and appetizers and sat at a table in the bar. Our drinks and veggie empanadas were all delicious. Next time I think well come for brunch, that menu looks irresistible and Im dying to try the Mimosa paddle (flight). About the only thing Id change would be to turn off the two large screen TV monitors, their flashing screens in combination with the (unrelated) music was a bit much if youre there to socialize with friends.
Little Goan Indian Cafe
2007 Novato Blvd, Novato, CA 94947, United States
Love love love Little Goan. Im recently back from living two months in India, and this is the best Indian Ive had back in the states since.Super authentic. Food has a home-cooked feel, in all the best ways. Awesome to-go choices. Lots of organic and natural food.Their veg dishes are phenomenal:* Saag paneer - awesome spinach and paneer, super balanced and not too rich* Bhaigan barta - wonderful subtle smoked eggplant without being too sweet* veg korma - well balanced and satiating* muttar paneer - delicious tomato based peas and paneer* mulligatawny soup - soul satisfyingThey have jeera rice (cumin rice) and even gluten free naan - which was tasty too.Dont go expecting much decor. Its authentic Indian after all. The heart is in the food. And theyve started a lunch buffet soon if thats your thing. Support this great new addition to Novato. Youll be glad you did.
