Lemonade Restaurant
146 S Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101, United States
My Usual Order- Watermelon Radish and Seared Ahi Tuna- White Truffle Mac and Cheese- Watermelon Rosemary Lemonade- Orecchiette Pasta with Tomatoes, Basil and MozzarellaI was really disappointed on my last visit. The Watermelon Radish and Seared Ahi Tuna was overpowered by sesame seeds! I think they accidentally dropped a whole container inside when they were prepping it. The sugar snap peas tasted weird...not sure if they washed it or not. It was just a no go. I thought it was my lucky day because they finally had my favorite lemonade, watermelon rosemary! White Truffle Mac and Cheese and the Orecchiette Pasta with Tomatoes, Basil and Mozzarella were good, as usual.TIP: Do not order to go right when you get in line. They dont give you as much food as they do when you dine in. Just get your food for dine in and grab the to go boxes on the side. ^_^

You have to try this place. Oh. My. Goodness. You will not believe that it isnt meat! Angry pork and chicken drumsticks. Noodles. Pad Thai. Ramen. Fish. Oh my. Just took awesome dishes at this place. This is my absolute fav vegetarian restaurant. Only things to improve?....separate bathroom for guests and it can just get so dang noisy in there. ....but I still look forward to going everytime. And never disappointed in a dish. Really. And great service!!! And not too expensive either.

Walked here so didn't have to worry about parking. It's only street parking and it can be hard to find. There are plenty of seats outside and inside.Inside has a very home-y feeling and matches the theme with tons of plants all over.It is quite loud (one of the employees was preparing ingredients and kept banging on something and noticed it drew attention to her. I don't blame her for doing her job but it was pretty loud) inside.I noticed they have outlets all over for people to study or work but not sure how much you can get done if you are sensitive to noise (there was a radio going off playing good music but it was competing with the store speakers that was playing something else). The employees were friendly and made the order quick (and i was very impressed they mixed the salad for me after applying the dressing. That was super helpful cause usually I make a mess not having proper tools like the tongs she used).I ordered the chicken + brussels bowl and it was delicious and filling! The bowl is huge and i loves the ingredients like the cut up apples and sweet potatoes. My husband ordered the miso salmon and the sauce is amazing!! However, it was ridiculous how small the amount of food was given for the price of $16 and considering mine was $14 with a much larger portion. We would come back though cause there are many other flavors we want to try. It is healthy and filling. I just wish they had garlic sauces like other places offer.

This place is the one I always prefer. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The crew is very amicable and the cuisine they cook is so fresh and tasty. I never decline to have a nice meal here. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic place! Normally places are scrambling but this place has its act together. We were seated right way and our server Tony came up and introduced himself immediately. He was very friendly and let us know about the menu and how it is seasonal. It was really nice to have this introduction since it was our first time and we needed a tour of the menu. I really appreciated Tonys friendly attitude and honestly about the item I originally wanted to order. He let me know it was good but it was his least favorite. He made some recommendations for me and I have to say I am glad I listened since the entree I ordered was unbelievable. It is really nice to see a restaurant that caters the dietary restrictions. It is hard to find a place that has more than one gluten free or vegetarian offering. This place has lots and makes it very easy for my significant other to find multiple healthy items to eat.Overall this was the best customer service I have ever gotten at a restaurant. The staff is all very friendly, the food is out of this world, and the atmosphere is very fun, friendly, and hip. We will be back here as much as we can. Job well done!

Sage Plant Based Bistro & Brewery Pasadena
41 Hugus Aly, Pasadena, CA 91103, United States
Consistent high quality! We have eaten in here & I order lunch here regularly and it is consistently excellent! All vegan & organic is very difficult to find, so this place is a Mecca for me!I order the taco salad all of the time & it is super flavorful, filling & most importantly, I feel great after eating it. It is $22, which is a little pricey- but it costs close to $16 for a loaded bowl at chipotle, and that is not organic, and it's much lower quality ingredients. So for $6 more this taco salad is worth every penny! The highlight of this dish is the jackfruit & black beans which is a fabulous combo and the pickled onions, and the dressing is just perfect! It also comes served on a tostada chip - it satisfies every craving! Crunchy, sweet, savory & filling!I bring everyone that visits me here, and every person that I have eaten here with also had an amazing meal!I have also had multiple pizzas here, and it is in the top three vegan pizzas I have ever had!Parking is tricky. To pick up delivery you have to park in a loading zone on union & put your hazards on. (They told me to do this the first time I picked up delivery and it seemed awkward at first, but now I am used to it.)If you eat inside the restaurant they validate parking - but only for specific parking garages - so I would call ahead and get the names of the parking garages they validate for so you can park for free. Otherwise, the parking garages run about $15.The area is very busy, and it's hard to find street parking, so you can park on the street, but it's challenging especially if you come in the evening or on a weekend.
Urban Plates

Urban Plates, where have you been all my life!?! Great food, great service, great prices! Holy freaking grass-fed cow the steak sandwich is truly masterpiece of flavors and textures that deserves a spot on the menu in heaven. Now that Ive got your attention let me tell you the tale of our first visit to Urban Plates. It was a birthday dinner on a Sunday evening with a large party of 30-50 people. The birthday boy arranged with management to reserve an entire section of the dining area for our group. I dont think they actually take reservations so it was nice of them to accommodate us. That said, the kitchen and staff were really on top of their game. Even though they were totally slammed with orders our food was delivered to our table in less than ten minutes. Thanks to those guys and gals for great service.I ordered the steak sandwich with an additional side of mac n cheese and my wife ordered the chicken tender plate. Incidentally, a comfort food favorite of hers since childhood. We were both very impressed with the quality of the food at such a reasonable price. Truly a food joy experience. My wife is really looking forward to trying the hot chicken on our next visit.I personally believe that if there were a contest for best steak sandwich in Pasadena the chimichurri steak sandwich at Urban Plates could beat the very popular beef dip sandwich at the high end place just down the street.Very high quality food for a very reasonable price.Fun Facts:-Urban Plates first location opened in San Diego in 2011.-Founded by Saad Nadhir and John Zagara the chain currently has just over twenty locations mostly in Southern California. They have plans to slowly expand outside of California.-Their website claims that their food is all scratch made with organic ingredients. Using hormone and antibiotic free grass-fed beef, sustainable salmon, and never frozen chicken. So, do yourself a favor and give this amazing place a try soon.
Yard House
300 E Colorado Blvd Ste 220, Pasadena, CA 91101, United States
Today was the last straw. Pre-pandemic, this place was a 5-star atmosphere and had an excellent all around staff. They sincerely demonstrated care about their customers experience and service. Maybe it's the pandemic affecting all of us in social ways that were previously not as evident with this new tense climate.Fast-forward to today; they hired new male bartenders, and I noticed they are more attentive to all customers (which was a sigh of relief). However, I went in after work yesterday for Happy Hour and spent enough money and time to observe and experience this new (sneaky; maybe socially automatic, maybe unaware) ongoing patriarchal treatment.A while ago, I mentioned to a manager how a particular female bartender seemed to pay more attention to the male customers; I pointed out how she would ask the male customers around me if they needed service, but would fail to ask me until I would wave her down or had to ask other bartenders for service. This past Wednesday evening, it happened again. The same female bartender waited over 20-min. upon my arrival to ask if I needed anything else, while asking the other males around me, consistently, if they needed anything else (the pace was slow). When again I pointed this out to the the same manager (receipt time stamp and current time), he said he would look at the video.Today, it was more than obvious that maybe I'm not welcomed at this establishment anymore, based on their treatment and considering that I started to come here twice a week (now that baseball season is over). Not only did the restaurant manager provide special attention to a male customer sitting right next to me, while failing to ask me or the other ladies around me if we needed any service; maybe he was a celebrity, I don't know and at this point don't care anymore. Truly disappointed.P/S: Ash is an outstanding bartender; he offers consistent customer service care and has tactful social skills across the board to all consumers.
