Pieology Pizzeria Porter Ranch, Los Angeles
19953 Rinaldi St, Porter Ranch, CA 91326, United States
We went to this pieology yesterday and I just have to say the manager that was there was unprofessional and passive aggressive. For context: We got there and the girl working there (London) was helping a customer before us. The guy wanted pesto on his pizza before being put in the oven but they had none. The manager offered to make a fresh batch but he would drizzle the pesto after it finished cooking. The other customer agreed. Then she came over to help us and she was amazing and super helpful, really sweet. We asked for pesto on the pizza after they were done cooking as well. While we waited, the previous customer told the manager the pizza looked gross and wanted it remade. He gladly obliged but was frustrated. The issue was that he took out the frustration on us. When our pizzas were done he called our name, we didn't answer fast enough so he walked the pizza over us and said if we wanted pesto we had to “approve” the pizzas first, that it was his new policy since we asked for pesto he didn't want us to say they looked gross and have to remake it. We were both confused because this had never happened before but he kept pushing. We just said they looked good but we still want the drizzle. He then proceeded to tell my fiance, “yeah I don't need you complaining”, to which my fiancé responded, “I would never do that”. The manager immediately snapped back “yeah you would, you're a dodgers fan, all you guys do is complain.” I understand wanting to joke but this wasn't how it was coming off. It came off as passive aggressive and completely soured the mood. I also understand being frustrated with customers but his previous interaction had nothing to do with us. It was also really uncomfortable to see how this guy was treating his only staff member. London was nothing but helpful and we would definitely return but maybe when that guy isn't around. He's around 30s/40s possible white with no hair and just super stand off ish. Hope this was a one time thing and he has better days.

Ive eaten here for many years! Love this place... love the owner.. the food is great.. Im Lebanese so I can say its the real deal! The lamb shank is insanely juicy and falls off the bone, the whole fish is amazing.. ALL the salads are perfection. Every meat dish is always good. Im Judgy about bitter olive oils and wonky flavors in the any type of egg plant salad or hummus.. all of theirs are delicious. I know some of the dishes are few bucks more .. but the cost of meat has gone up.... They have house a Chardonnay that is insanely good.. we tried to buy it online but the winery only sells their reds.. must be a restaurant select Chard. The staff is always running around making sure things are taken care of.. The owner is so charming.. the guy that remembers you for life and makes you feel welcome and appreciated for choosing his place for dinner!.. Once in awhile the owner will show up at your table with a shot of Ouzo if yer lucky! Please finish your meal with a metal pot of Arabic coffee & a desert.. we always laugh.. after you drink it .. youll go home and clean your house .. HA.. We love inside as well as out.. but outside feels more like your on vacation.
In-N-Out Burger

In-N-Out Burger in Porter Ranch lives up to the iconic chains reputation, earning a well-deserved five-star rating from my visit. The location is pristine, featuring the signature clean and welcoming atmosphere that fans of In-N-Out have come to expect. Service was outstanding; the staff were not only efficient but also exceptionally friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. As always, the food was a standout. The burgers were cooked to perfection, with fresh ingredients that could be tasted in every bite. The fries, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, complemented the meal perfectly. Additionally, the secret menu items I ordered were prepared exactly as requested, showcasing the staffs attention to detail. What sets this In-N-Out apart is perhaps its consistency in delivering high-quality food and service. Despite the chains widespread popularity, this location manages to maintain the high standards that have made In-N-Out a beloved institution in California and beyond. Whether youre a long-time fan or a curious first-timer, the In-N-Out in Porter Ranch is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a classic American burger experience.

I stopped by here with my sister family last night after my nephew basketball practice. It was a great choice because the weather was cold and the place was nearby. There are tons of parking here so you wont have any issues because its in a Amazon Fresh plaza. When we walked in, we were seated right away and given the menu. I got the Beef bun me, my nephew got the chicken pho and my sister got their bun bo hue soup. The pho and soup came out quick, my bun mi was the last dish to come out. I really enjoyed my beef bun mi, the bread was so soft and thr beef was delicious. I wouldve hope they added more carrots and vegetables but it was fine. My nephew and sister loved their dish since they come here every Friday night. The customer service we received was amazing, they constantly checked up on us and asked how was the food. They also have a all gender restroom here so no more male or female separate bathroom.

Ill be honest outside of the drinks being .... Fine and our server being nice. This place was a huge letdown for me all around when coming here it was a Thursday evening or so I believe around 6:00 p.m. when we went to ask her a table. The hostess was standing around but didnt acknowledge anybody trying to look busy so we politely waited in front of the desk until somebody else walked in which she acknowledged and greeted that person inside of them up for their tables, which afterwards shed still did not acknowledge me. I walked up to her and mentioned that we were waiting to see if there was availability and informed her that she acknowledged the person that came after us. She did not seem to care. Once I asked for availability. I was informed with the wait time was about 40 minutes for a table of three which I said okay unfortunately that wait time grew to be a little over an hour which anytime I came to just check in. See if there were tables ahead. The hostess really seemed irritated like I was really in her way or bothering her really making me feel unwanted. Unfortunately once we have actually got our table the lady that was servicing us was nice and attentive. But once we ordered the food it was not good at all. Whatsoever the burger seemed burnt the fries, not that great. And like I said at the top of the drinks were okay but not really worth going here waiting an hour dealing with a hostess thats irritated by the sight of you I dont know if maybe this restaurant was having an off day or what, but if this is usually how the ambiance and the food is, theres no way I could recommend anybody coming here
Whole Foods Market

This review is strictly for the Thanksgiving Catering Order. I placed an order for about 6 sides, 2 soups and 1 pie. My pick-up was 11/23 between 2pm-3pm. I arrived at 2:40pm and spent 10 minutes in line waiting to check in. WF has a new system where once you check, an employee will take your order to the back for it to be filled. You provide your cellphone number which youll receive a text letting you know youre check in with a link to let you know where you are in the virtual queue. Reception at this WF isnt the greatest, even with Verizon so it made it difficult to check to see where I was in the queue. Others around me had the same issue. We even attempted to connect the WF wifi to no avail. I waited 1 hour and 25 minutes to get my order. Unfortunately, I never received a text saying my order was ready while in the store. After about an hour or so one of the employees walked around asking how long have we been waiting. Anyone that had been waiting over an hour he took our order papers, went to the back and came back and said our group was next. We were a group of about 5 or 6. Here are some of the issues I/we observed while standing around waiting. 1) too many staff at the table doing nothing, looking confused because it was completely unorganized 2)not enough staff in the back to help pull and assemble order 3) too many orders were sent to one table when there were two tables to fill orders 4) many orders that were being pulled the customers werent even around and we witnessed these orders sitting out for over 30mins.If WF cannot fix this failed virtual system then please go back to the old effective method. I check in and go stand in the queue and get my order filled when I get to the front of the line. Ive only had to wait 30mins max the last few years with that method. That is reasonable. Whats not reasonable is having me and others waiting 1-2 hours, after checking in to get an order when we had a designated time frame.

Islands Restaurant Northridge

I had a good, comfort food AND vegetarian experience at Islands in Porter Ranch where the staff is super, super friendly. They’ve got lots of beer options on tap and in bottles, plus margaritas. I had a Blue Moon which was served in a proper beer stein with a handle. (Sometimes serving a beverage in its proper glass make all the difference. You can get a veggie burger on any of their many burger options, and they’re happy to customize it anyway you want. They also have gluten-free buns available in case that’s your diet…an there are other vegetarian options including a Beach Bowl” with rice, and various vegetables, along with “no blame” grilled veggie tacos.I had the Mavericks burger which comes with barbecue sauce, Island reds (crispy onions) lettuce, tomato and pickles. I had them take out the mayo and sub cheddar for the American cheese, with a veggie patty. My waitress wanted me to pay special note to the volume of the burger when ot came out, and it was quite large which we both found exciting. It tasted great too. It’s a standard Garden Burger variety veggie burger. I wonder when more restaurants will start to offer a default veggie burger option like the “Impossible Burger and/or “Beyond Meat”, both of which better simulates an actual burger.?) I really enjoyed it.They also offer “endless” fries which honestly felt like too much of a commitment for me but they also tasted great. Islands is a great place to go for a vegetarian comfort meal and a beer.

This restaurant is usually a good place to eat but last night it was terrible. After receiving our soup, everyone at our table (my party + one other party) had to wait a total of 16 minutes for a soup spoon and this is after three of us asking waitresses/waiters for spoons. I finally had to get up and go to front to ask for spoons. We waited 10 more minutes after I got up to ask. In addition, after giving our orders, I told him no onions because I am allergic. He got the fried rice correct, with no onions, but when making the vegetables, he dumped a huge pile of them with the onions on top of the rest of my food on my plate. My food was cooked okay but the other party stated their s was not and one guy ordered well done and got a few pieces that were rare which cook mixed with next persons rare order. At the end of our meal, we all received our checks quickly but they never asked any of us if we wanted dessert/ice cream. I had to flag him down to ask for ice cream. Then the other party saw we were eating ice cream and they werent and had to find a waiter to continue serving them, as well. They all ordered ice cream, as well. I am sorry but when you spend $150.+ for two people to eat, for dinner, you expect better service. They know how much every party is spending. Its a lot to eat there. I spend the same or less at Ruths Chris or Flemings and get impeccable service. Side note: The worst part of this restaurant is the lighting is so bright you feel like you are at the doctors office getting an examination. Terrible lighting. I overheard several others mention how bright it was in there so its not just our party. I havent been here in a few years and not going back. Looking forward to better options when they finish building the mall extension on the lot next door.
