This is our new favorite restaurant. The chef here skilled to cook true vegan/plant based meals: layering of flavors and textures to make something better than cooked meats. I rarely am pleased with dining in Santa Barbara. Everything tastes the same: salt, fat, sweet…few creative plant based options. Here I am surprised and delighted each time. And the visual is stunning with sprinkles of edible flowers painted into the food. They also offer vegetarian options, grilled cheese sandwich, etc. I’m not likely to try those, but they look yummy. Bravo Satellite. We plan to be regulars for a long time.

My wife and I are vegetarian, and the vegetarian options here are some of the best Ive ever had. The owner is the very nice and friendly. The house made soybean chicken is INCREDIBLE. The sauteed mixed vegetables are a showstopper too, I dont know what that thick green sauce that comes on them is, but it is so good.Ive lived in over 20 different cities and tried a number of Chinese restaurants in each of them. This restaurant stands among my favorites.

Loved the half and half offer. I chose half a sandwich and half a salad. Plenty of food for lunch with enough for leftovers for dinner. Went another time and just got a sandwich. Also plenty of food. I liked the focaccia bread though they have other great options. (not additive filled breads) kettle chips and healthy drinks are sold too. All very reasonably priced. Average $12. Staff are cheerful and helpful. There are tables if you want to eat there. Theres also seating (I think) in the complex on the other side of the building. Speaking of that, its a nice little shopping complex with upscale shops and a Vons market. Also convenient right next to the freeway but it doesnt feel like it.

Lunch is the best meal in the day, and Natural might have the best lunch in town. All locations are on point! Tons of vegan options and vegetarian options... Hungry Planet Burger is vegan and probably better tasting than most restaurants in SB. Veggie Tofu Bowl is a special that is delicious and can be switched with chicken if you want. The tahini dressing is bomb...get it on one of the many salads. Need Dat!

Unless you are strictly RAW, avoid this place. I understand some people feel that macrobiotic and raw food diets are better then vegetarian or vegan diets and I dont pretend to know enough to dispute that; however, I found the food here to be unpalatable. I tried the Greentable Burger and my son the wrap. Both were served chilled and tasted like tuna fish with mayo and celery. Ive been vegetarian for 20 years and my son of 14 for his entire life. While Ive sampled many vegetarian restaurants in Los Angeles, its environs and across CA, this is among the least tolerable food Ive had for my taste. Again perhaps someone accustomed to raw diets might like this, but for myself and my family we walked out and left the food uneaten.
Ikes Love & Sandwiches

On our second visit to Ikes we knew our order would take a while to be made. We were not in a rush. My husband noticed the girl who ordered after I did grabbed a bag with sandwiches inside and walked out. He said he thought she may have taken our food. One of the guys noticed we were still sitting there without food and asked what we had ordered. He confirmed the girl had taken our food and apologized. He told us to each get a fountain drink and a bag of chips. We had taken our own drinks so we got chips and ate them as we waited. The sandwiches were super tasty. Before we left I went to the restroom and turned on the light. It stayed on for a few seconds and shut off. I turned the light on and it turned off again. I told the guy who noticed we didnt have our food and he said the light had been doing that and went to take a look. He couldnt fix it. Before we left he was very apologetic about everything. He seemed very genuine and what went wrong was in no way his fault. It was nice of him to give offer us drinks and chips.

The food is just amazing! Ive been searching all over Los Angeles for a restaurant that makes mapo tofu as good as Meet Ups, and I havent found it! The one with minced pork is especially amazing, but the vegetarian one is very good too. Ive loved everything else Ive had at Meet Up, like the hot & sour vermicelli soup, the crispy fish in minced chili, or the garlic eggplant.

Came here late in the evening but well before closing, ordered, everything was going well. The ordering screen was convenient and let us take our time in perusing the menu and selecting items. However, difficulties began when our order came out. We picked up our food and went to sit at a table. One of the employees followed us as we sat down and inexplicably pointed towards the door. She told us we needed to leave... it was definitely at least an hour before closing. She said to go, and didnt explain why when asked. We were shocked and confused, so we left with our food. As we left, we realized that they had missed items in our order. Honestly, it was such a rude experience that we didnt feel welcome to go back and correct our order. I still have no idea why we were kicked out. We were quiet, it was before closing... Overall, an incredibly unpleasant experience and extremely unprofessional.

Santa Barbara Pizza House

Ordered a 12 State Street Deep Dish pizza and picked up in person. Once home saw that it came with no pepperoni and looks nothing like the photo on their web site. It appeared to be the Garden Street pizza. When I called I was told to just look around inside the pizza for the pepperoni because sometimes they cant be seen. Noticed that while the State Street pizza is featured on their website and listed on my bill (though at what appears to be the wrong price), it is not available to order online. Same goes for their Garlic Cheesy Knots - on website menu but not available online - I was told they did not cook through right by my server. So SB Pizza House has some operational issues to work through. Worse, the pizza - sauce, cheese, crust - was just ok. Not much cheese for a deep dish pizza; no discernible vegetables (and definitely no pepperoni). The previous Patxis made a better deep dish pizza in my opinion. For really good pizza in Santa Barbara try Bettina or Revolver.

As a child, I grew up with a lot of vegetarian and vegan friends and relatives. I always had a passion for any and all food, as did my fiance, but I was stunned at how hard it was sometimes for friends with dietary restrictions to find excellent food when they went out to restaurants. When we were choosing our wedding venue, then, we wanted to make sure that there would be incredible food options for even our most diet-restricted of guests. Villa & Vine was able to deliver on this and thensome - meat eaters got the best chicken Ive honestly ever had in my life, incredible pulled pork, chicken quesadillas, what-have-you, and while the vegetarians and vegans in the crowd, who are used to leaving weddings hungry after eating maybe a salad and some steamed vegetables, received huge portions of stuffed peppers and were able to enjoy the dinner portion of the event just as much as anyone else. Our appetizer station of flatbreads and a variety of mediterranean dips impressed even our guests who grew up in the Mediterranean region! Villa & Vine was excellent to work with in every regard, but I want to especially thank them for taking all dietary needs into consideration and helping us make sure that every single guest was able to enjoy an incredible meal!Absolutely gorgeous venue through and through, great staff, excellent location and exceeded expectations on all fronts.
