If youre looking for great affordable food, this is a half measure. Japanese is hardly ever affordable, but two dinners and flavored soy beans 120.00. We ordered takeout so our experience was a bit marred when the person taking the order missed one order, so because I didnt pull everything out of the bag I had to return. I ended up forking over an extra 34 dollars or so for another entree. Not sure where the communication error began, but it is what it is.My daughter was offered a lemonade while we waited which never arrived. I am a professional eater (been doing it my whole life) so I dont mind shelling out a few extra dollars for great food and service. This fell short. I could have spent less money and had better service at Komachi or M sushi in Lodi. The time and effort to sort things out would have offset the travel time to get there. After all of this, One of my orders was wrong. I never ordered scallops and I do not eat well-done steak. 160.00 later with a tip for someone just to ring me up, I have buyers remorse. To be fair, the food was good but the experience left me with a bad aftertaste.

Cast Iron Trading Co.

Visited Stockton on February 24-25, 2018. Three of us started off next door at the local brewery, which had a band playing and was a little too loud. The staff there suggested walking next door to Cast Iron Trading Co., both for good food and a diverse selection of beers on tap and in the frig. I am SO thankful for that piece of advice! The food was excellent! We had sliders with sausage from Lockeford Meats (a Lodi institution), which were super tasty - great sausage complemented by a slaw and soft but substantial slider buns. The brussel sprout tacos were killer. The sausage pizza special was very good, but is really kind of rectangular flatbread, not a typical pie. All the food was very tasty and I highly recommend it. We met the chef once the kitchen shut down, and he was a very nice, personable fellow. The beers on tap were excellent, and quite diverse, even though there were only about 8 or so. A few I had not heard of, and I am an avid beer enthusiast. Even better was the refrigerator that had dozens of cans and bottles covering a broad spectrum of beer styles, all from breweries across the US and even into Europe. Our group tried about 7 of those cans/bottles and not once were we disappointed.Owner Eric Lee closed the place up, and chatted with our group and another couple. He was congenial, informative, and also a beer enthusiast. Chatting and tasting beers with him was the highlight of our trip to Stockton. Looking forward to heading back in a few months and seeing what his beer guru has ordered up.While not cheap, this place had excellent quality and selection. I am happy to pay a little bit more for great service, great food, and very tasty beer.Wishing Eric the best of luck in his business! Hes off to a great start.

Pieology Pizzeria, Stockton

DO NOT EAT HEREI actually worked here, and I know what they do in the back. Most things are half-washed to begin with. The cutting boards, after being washed, are leaned against the wall on the floor instead of being put on the drying rack. They often slide and fall onto the floor, with all of the days' acummulated muck, and are simply propped back up, and later carried out to the front, where they are used to chop the herbs and ham, and to prep the veggies and meats. The date that food items are put out is never kept track of. They are out there until they are used up. The worst offenders are the meatballs, the oils, basil/cilantro, and anything with liquid, like olives, banana peppers, or spicy chicken. We have actually found mold on the meatballs before. If you get the garlic herb butter, there is a 90% chance you will have violent diarrhea within the hour. When they run out of one kind of soap, which happens often, about monthly, they will substitute another. I have seen people wash dishes with floor cleaner. When I worked there, I was the only person who cared about allergies at all. I have witnessed (and corrected) employees countless times who lied about allergy information because they were too lazy to actually pull out the allergy binder and look it up. Including once when two employees claimed there was no cheese in pesto! If you don't see them pull out a binder from underneath the register, they are just making it up.They didn't have the wings when I worked there, but with their level of incompetency, I wouldn't trust them. There are several ingredients that are supposed to be refrigerated but are instead left on shelves across from the dishwashing sinks.Every few hours we have to go around and stick a thermometer in all of the food, and record the temperature, along with the temp in every freezer, the oven, and the dough press. This is to ensure that the food is at a temp where bacteria can't grow. I have been instructed several times by Sarah, the GM, to lie here. The temperature is regularly over the safe limit in all of the foods you can see on the line, and occasionally it dips in the refrigerators below.I dont expect anything to change, because even if they get rid of the problem employees, the owner of this store is a complete moron. He understands nothing about running the store and does not care about sanitation at all.The safest thing on he menu is probably the salad, the one with the nuts. Its a bit wilted, but not actually unsafe to eat. Vinegar and sugar are natural preservatives, so there's nothing growing in the dressing even when they forget it on a counter for five hours. And oh, in the name of all that is good and just in this world, you do not even want to KNOW about the ranch. I will never in my life eat ranch at a restraunt again. Ever.

Taco Bell

We come to this Taco Bell every Wednesday night. Typically we get decent service and good tasting food. Tonight there was something foul tasting in our 3 Mexican Pizzas. The taste is hard to describe. The tortillas were either spoiled, extremely stale, or contaminated. We tried several times to call the restaurant, but no one answered the phone. So we packed the pizzas up and drove back to the restaurant.Unfortunately the dining area was closed and the line in the driveway was very long. We decided to try knocking on the door to get an employees attention instead of waiting and wasting more of our night in the drive thru. A women came to the door and asked if she could help me. I explained that we had recently come through the drive thru and purchased the pizzas that tasted terrible. She said, Well what do you want? Do you want a refund or do you want something else? I said I was afraid to get anything else in case it was also spoiled, so I told her Id rather have a refund. She snatched the bag with pizzas in it and the receipt from me. I took a step forward because I thought she might need me to come in and sign something or need my card and she said I have to close the door. Then slammed the door in my face and went back into the restaurant.I waited a few minutes. While waiting for her, an employee who must have been starting his shift came up to us and must have assumed we were trying to get into the restaurant. We explained we were being helped already and warned him that we thought the Mexican pizza tortillas were bad. Another employee was starting their shift and the woman who was helping us came back, handed me cash and let the waiting employees in. I realized she didnt give me a receipt, so I asked her to please give it back to me. She said that she had to reprint it and I said okay. This time she slammed the door harder when she went back inside. When she came back with the receipt I asked for her name and she said her name was Rocio. I thanked her and left. My original complaint/issue was the terrible taste of an item I eat once a week. But what inspired me to write this review was how poorly this was handled by Rocio. Not once did she apologize. And she seemed angry or annoyed with me. We ate rotten food and wasted our evening dealing with this. I also dont appreciate that she didnt give me my receipt back. It felt as if she was trying to prevent me from using it to complain.

Took my kids to get some food. We went through the drive thru. Told the girl that helped us she was doing a great job and left to go to Panda (my daughter wanted that). When we got home my son digs into his pizza, I opened mine and right away could smell something was off. I took one bite and the taste was even worse. I asked my son if his pizza was good and he said it just smelled funny but he was halfway done with his. I smelled and tasted his pizza and it was also rancid and told him to not eat it. We then tasted the tacos, those were fine so we ate those while I called the manager. I explained that the pizzas were rancid and she told me that her food was not rancid and said that she didnt know what had happened between getting the food and us getting home (a mear 5 minute drive home). I mentioned the shell smelled bad and tasted very sour and rancid and again she said they didnt serve food like that and everything was made on the spot. She offered to give me a refund after much debate about it being rancid, I was no way going to ask for more pizzas. When I drove to the establishment I took the pizzas to her even though on the phone she said she would not smell them. I didnt want free food so I took the food as proof. Again I explained and she said that she had tasted all their food ? and she didnt know what transpired from getting our food there to our home. TWO times she assumed that we had done something to our food. I understand that there are many people who may make claims to get free food but all I wanted was to EAT the food I originally bought and not have to waste my gasoline going back for a refund after already arriving at home! I spent more on gas going back! I told her I didnt appreciate her assuming that we did something to it! I work! My husband works! I dont get any help from the goverment...its MY hard earned cash I was spending. It was a special treat for my kids to get to pick out where they wanted to eat so dont be assuming Im asking for free food or trying to poison my kids! When I arrived home (with PANDA EXPRESS) so we could eat that... my son was sick in the bathroom. I gave the service a 2 because even though I found the manager to have been a bit rude she was also very helpful and gave me a refund but the whole experience was NOT ok...I dont like being called a liar when Im not. Wont be going back there though.

Hey Papa! I love how you made my all meat pizza exactly as I wanted by substituting the ground beef with bacon, and not just bacon, but EXTRA bacon!!! Mmmmmmm! Oooh, and that cinnamon wheel dessert was made perfectly with just the right amount of brown sugar, butter, oatmeal and cinnamon spread mix ( before baking it, I especially love the oatmeal clump balls because I can just pick it up and feed it to my little boy and it puts a huge beaming smile on his face ). Even the mediterranean salad was exceptional! Not only was it fresh like always, it had generous amounts of everything I savor in that specific salad, the only salad I will ever buy premade ever again! For any one that did not know, the mediterranean salad comes with the most delicious sun dried tomatoes, olives, and feta cheese that I have ever tasted in my whole entire life...and listen to this, although I usually ask for ranch, and I do like ranch with any salad, but for reals, this salad is ah-maaaazing WITHOUT dressing and WITHOUT croutons!!! Im not kidding!!! And I am sorry for not remembering your names, but I want to thank you all so so much from the bottom of my heart for making my familys lunches and dinners fulfilling and delicious. These 3 items ( all meat pizza, cinnamon wheel, mediterranean salad ) are my familys favorite order and we will continue to order this over and over again endlessly. And you guys really outdid yourselves by mailing me coupons including one for 25% off my order which I use as much as possible. Sheesh, you guys absolutely have the best value for the food you provide and Im ever so grateful for you Papa Murphys! I order about once a week, sometimes twice a week here, at this Lower Sacramento Road location in Stockton. THIS is how I feel about your establishment almost EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. DONT EVER CHANGE. XOXO

Waaaayyy better than the Elk Grove Location. Solid place. Never an issue except with a fruity employee “IS YOURE NAME BERNIE!!!” As I got my order called out. The guy was clocking out or something and talking to the girl employees for a long time. He saw me walk in and made this jump gave me a grimace. All good, fruity vampire employee and he yells at me asking for my name while saying my name. Just to get annoyance out of me.All I gotta say is you got one annoying fruity employee, and your female employees saw this guy just being a annoyance to the customers getting their order. He may mentally special or something but that guy was a bit slow in the head or fruity or something. Not normal at all. Obviously it sounds like I'm a horrible person oh my he just wanted to know your name… he heard my name and saw me walk up and then like a 7 year old boy began yelling at me. What a wild guy to say he's annoying huh.Anyways that's the only complaint, no employee should be yelling at customer, “what's your name!!!! Ohhhh cooool!!” Like I get it hello yea but to be annoying and just stupid about it idk that's a bit fruity at that point. I might not people or something but that one off the clock employee was just looking for energy and he got it alright cause that guy a fufu fruit. If it ever happens again I'll ask for the name and place it right here on the review.Cause I would not do this out of nothing, that brown male with high pitched voice talking to the female employees while standing by the door, indeed, was unnecessary and obviously a divine messenger to just let people be. Yet business wise, get that clown out. I would fire him immediately if I saw this occur on my watch, what a weird dude, forcing people to either ignore him or reply. Just not a well skilled communicator, really annoying. So tell your employees to leave customers alone and not to yell their name at them. “IS YOUR NAME BERNIE!!!!!!? HEYYYY IS YOUR NAME BERNIE!!!! HEY HEY HEY IS YOUR NAME BERNIE!!????”I kid you not, this off the clock or on break employee yelled at me repeatedly for my name while yelling my name. He saw me go for the Bernie order and then began yelling. It felt gross. Like when you get mad people can feel your anger, I felt this guys grossness. That's all.Really annoying guy tho. I know I'm annoying with this review but I'm not wanting to let fruits cake around like that and vampire offf of me.

This Papa Murphys is better than most of them in Stockton. They are one of the only places you can still get a cheese, pepperoni or sausage Five Dollar Fave pizza for really only five bucks. The other store on Pacific charges six, the other ones simply dont offer it anymore. Its basically the same as a regular large, except it only has one type of cheese and a thinner crust. Employees are hit or miss, most are sweet. My one complaint is that you could get a great variety of big salads here, enough for more than one person, however, they cut that salad portion in half, but charge the same. I asked why because all of the other Papa Murphys still makes full capacity salads. I was told two things, the manager told me to and that customers complained about them being to big!!! Too big? Thats the best part. No one ever says something is too big, come on. So whats funny is that Ill grab my pizzas here, but go to a different one for my salad. That is not efficient, but Im not paying six bucks for a handful of lettuce.

Papa Murphys Take N Bake Pizza
678 N Wilson Way Suite 38, Stockton, CA 95205, United States
Every time I come here, and I come here every month around the same time and sometimes twice a month, I always get 2 pizzas. One with red sauce (no matter what it is) and one with white sauce (I can't eat the red sauce). Literally every other time I get pizza from this place, they have red sauce on both pizzas. And every time I order a pizza WITHOUT the Roma tomatoes, they ALWAYS leave them on there. And today (4/12/24) went and ordered 2 pizzas, one papas all meat (everything the same) and one 5 meat stuffed but with white sauce instead of red and add mushrooms. Guess what they didn't do? They didn't exchange the sauces and never added the mushrooms AND STILL CHARGED FOE THE EXTRA TOPPINGS. Never am I ordering from this place again. It's annoying, irresponsible and honestly I could have died. What if I was allergic to the red sauce? You couldn't know that. So as I've stated, never ordering food from here again.
