Red Moon Restaurant & Lounge
12516 Riverside Dr, Valley Village, CA 91607, United States
I love the fatoush salad, their hummus, grape leaves and vegetarian faire. They are open late, the restaurant is always clean, they can accommodate large parties, they offer a full service bar open until 11:00 pm, but the restaurant and hookah lounge is open until 2:00 am.They are open when you need a late night option.

Now On 9 Thai Bistro

I don't know how this place has anything less than 5 stars. The service was great (they boxed our food even though they have an area for you to do it yourself… super convenient). The food was phenomenal. Everything we ordered was delicious. The wings were crispy and tender, everything was seasoned perfectly. This was my first time, and I'll have to hold myself back from not coming here every day. We had the spicy garlic edamame, wing dings, curry noodle soup, Chinese broccoli, crying tiger steak, pineapple fried rice, panan curry, flat noodles, and mango sticky rice. I'm certain anything you order will be amazing. I can't wait to try more of this menu. I'd curse here, if I could… that blessed food was so good.

Hummus Yummy Kosher RCC
12514 Burbank Blvd, Valley Village, CA 91607, United States
The best Israeli food anywhere in the LA area. And it's kosher, parve, and vegan! As an omnivore, I can honestly say I don't even miss the meat. If there is somewhere better, I'd sure like to know about it. The shakshuka, pita, hummus, sabich, falafel, fries, and Israeli salad are perfect. The shakshuka is as good if not better than anywhere I've ever had it in Israel! Certainly the best in the US. The Israeli coffee tastes exactly like it does anywhere in Israel too. For a truly authentic and delicious breakfast, get the Shakshuka breakfast, spicy, with two runny fried eggs, and it comes with a generous side of Israeli salad, warm pita, and hummus (which is stellar). The pita is divine. Am Yisrael Chai!! ??

I had been eyeing this place since it opened and I finally had the chance to go when I was coming home from the gym. I walked in and noticed how clean everything was and asked if they had lamb. They didn't but they had goat instead; even better! Having been let down from Indian Sweets and Spices a few times, I can say that the food is remarkably fresh and the naan was made when I ordered. So fresh. So flavourful. The goat was so juicy and tender. It melted in my mouth. My grandfather who was a chef would be so proud of how their chef cooked such a difficult protein.I called earlier to see if they take Apple Pay which they do. The problem for me was that they don't take American Express which is linked to my Apple Pay and when I was ready to pay after they gave me all the food, I was unable to. Luckily the lady working there was so nice that she said that I could pay whenever I could. I told her I love walking distance from here and I will pay her immediately. This type of trust is not often found in the world anymore and it gives me so much for this business. It makes me proud to have people like this in our neighborhood.Anyways, I'm returning back to pay them since I am walking distance from them. I had to walk it off. I look forward to coming back for a quick meal when I am stressed working at home.Btw there Indian sodas are made with real sugar and not so bad. You ought to give it a try.

Miya Sushi
5215 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Valley Village, CA 91607, United States
Weve been living in Valley Village for going on 6 years now and I wanna say have been coming to Miya about as many years and it is still one of our favorite local places does Sushi. The place is tiny by most measures but it adds to the charm of the place. The staff is extremely nice and friendly and treat us like family and it really shows how much they love their customers. Many of the customers are regulars like us, usually from the area but the staff greets and treats all customers old and new just the same which is so rare these days. The food itself also never disappoints, weve never had a bad food experience here and weve tried most things on the menu. The sushi itself is very fresh, bakes mussels are one of my wifes favorites. If youre a very large party, maybe 8 or more it may be hard to accommodate either way it is best to call in advance and put your name down on busier nights like Friday or Saturday. During the week youre almost always bound to find an opening especially if youre a couple for instance.Parking is shared with the Bank of America across from it and the string of businesses to the right of it but you can find parking most of the time.

Phulkari Indian Cuisine
3418 Village Dr, Castro Valley, CA 94546, United States
Ordered takeout. The two vegetarian dishes (chick peas and okra), the lamb curry, naan, and mango lassis were delicious. Castro Valley lacks good restaurants but this new location doesnt disappoint! I think its the best indian within the area (cv & tri-valley). I see complaints about portions and prices. Portions have been shrinking at many restaurants, so Im not at all surprised there. This place is pretty average size in terms of proportion, to be fair. Prices are on high end for sure for cv. But I think the food is worth the price, considering its just minutes from home for me. I feel that cv neighbors complain too much about high prices but you get what you paid for. There are cheaper restaurants but its below average, so is it really worth it? I hope restaurant qualities improve in the area - Im happy to pay the premium for good food. We will definitely go back to try more.

Danielles Wood-Fired Pizza
4822 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Valley Village, CA 91607, United States
This was my first visit to Danielles pizza and was very much impressed! Great service.Fast service. My pizza was made to perfection. The owner was on top of his employees and very friendly with the customers. I only have 2 negative things to say. 1.The pizza for me was tooooo thin, and 2nd it was a little pricy for my budget. Other than that, I think I will try them out again in the near future. The owner said that if they make the pizza just a bit thicker, then they have to charge me extra which I didnt think that was fair. Nice, cozy place to dine and good choice of variety subs, wings, salads and more... Give them a try if you love pizza!

Grandmas Deli Babushka
4818 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Valley Village, CA 91607, United States
Delicious! Wide selection from stuffed peppers to stroganoff, fried chicken or fish cutlets, and a large selection of salads: cabbage, carrot, beet to name a few. Also a small pastry selection with apple or cherry turnovers some cakes and puddings. I tried a chicken cutlet; excellent when heated in my air fryer. I got the grated carrot salad, which is grated carrots. It had at least double the amount of salt it would need for my taste. - I typically don't use salt when I cook at home for health reasons. - I mixed it with additional vegetables I had on hand. It's also spicy with cayenne. The beet and bean (red kidney beans) salad is fantastic! It's hearty but light and refreshing. The cabbage salad also is absolutely delicious. It is shavings of red peppers, grated orange carrots, slices of cabbage, ribbons of yellow peppers, and other fresh green bits with wonderful seasoning. The beef for the stroganoff is just delicious. A deep flavor. Nice cut of beef, and the mushroom gravy that goes with it is some thing you won't forget and will come back for more! They do have prepared mashed potatoes, and some bulgur as well that you could choose to take home with you to go with the beef stroganoff. - The customer service is absolutely stellar! Sweet, kind, patient and helpful. I got small size container of three salads, at $4.50-ish each, a chicken cutlet, a fish cutlet, beef for beef stroganoff and the mushroom gravy that goes with it (which I ate over farro) and a cherry turnover for $45
