Supatras Thai
21560 Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92887, United States
The decor is beautiful, muted dark colors, and dramatic Thai statuary and the like. The staff is very friendly. I am now going to list out a few thoughts in numerical order, but not with any implication as to number:1. The live music guy in the bar, while excellent with his singing abilities, needs to find more up beat music... his songs depressed my fiancee and I while we ate, and made us want to break up, look at old photos, and then make up later and, in the infamous words of Milli Vanilli Blame it on the rain.2. The water... OH WOW... I uh, dont usually go on about the water a place serves, but something about it is so good... so refreshing... even the ice cubes were killer... the water is extra cold (something we like) and comes out in these glistening glasses, with lemon, and the lemon flavor is so strong! Its almost as if they are channeling my moms old trick of add lemon to the water, some sweetener and youd have lemon aid!3. The quality of the food is exceptional. Wow... everything we ordered over the course of our two nights eating there was top notch. Not too spicy, but with the ability to fire it up as you like. Good, complex Thai flavors. I have not yet tried the curry, I tend to avoid Thai curry, too much coconut milk for me.... but that leads me to #44. We ordered the mango and sticky rice the first night for dessert. I am very judgmental of this dish, and they REALLY WOWED us... I mean they closed at 10pm, we ordered it at 10:05pm, and they brought us out the sweetest, most tender, most melt in your mouth mango, and the sticky rice had that flavor that... oh man, I want to go back right now to eat it! YUM.5. We ordered Sake last night, and they use the distillery in Berkeley, CA... POINTS right there! (Sho Chiku Bai)6. It was not in my opinion overpriced for what you got... more than enough food and that enlightened full feeling at the end.I would tell ANYONE to go to this spot if they have a hankering for Thai, and even if they dont... YOU MUST GO.
Nekter Juice Bar
20355 Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92886, United States
We went to the Nekter location in Yorba Linda, California, on June 24 with a party of 6. I walked in to place my order and was promptly told to leave and to call from outside, which I did. So, over the phone I told the girl I was the guy outside the door, which felt ridiculous. After ordering 6 drinks and a couple other items, I told her I would pay when I went in to pick up my order. She told me that was not allowed and to give her my credit card number over the phone. I explained the security issue with doing that and she told me to download the app and place my large order through the app, which again felt ridiculous because I could see her talking to me on the phone. (Plus I didnt want to give yet another company access to my contacts, photos, and location simply to get some smoothies.) So I asked for the manager and, of course, I was already talking to her. I tried to explain that if she could run my card over the phone she could run my card in the store. I was met with a convoluted technical explanation as to why she absolutely couldnt do that. So in the end, we chose to go to Jamba Juice and spend too much money on smoothies there because they were accommodating and flexible. I cant imagine Nekter is so busy in this environment that they can turn customers away. We wont be back.
Taco Bell
1174 E Yorba Linda Blvd, Placentia, CA 92870, United States
I give 2 stars because the food is better here than the Savi Ranch location. Seems like Savi Ranch is greedy with their stuff and always give me very small sized burritos. So this location can get my 2 stars but as far as service....no. just no. I came later in the night because I work late. When I got to the window to pay and pick my food up, the associates were playing around too much. One guy was laughing constantly at everything anyone said in there. Then him and another guy stood by the drink fountain and talked quietly, they both turned around and looked at me and then looked at each other and laughed. I felt something was off like they were messing with my food or something Im not sure. I prayed I wouldnt get sick from it. That was rude and very unprofessional.

My mom and I came here last week with my daughter for the first time. We loved it! My mom and I both got the the chicken salad croissant, it was delicious and piled high with salad. It made us think of a chicken salad we used to get when we would visit my grandparents in Arizona years ago. This Tuesday, we decided to go back. We ordered 3 chicken salad croissant sandwiches to go (for my mom, my husband, and myself) and a turkey and cheese for my little one. We were so disappointed to see that there was hardly any chicken salad in the sandwiches. I wish I had taken a picture, it looked like someone scooped a small spoonful on the bread and called it done. We put this order in around 12pm. If the restaurant didn't have enough chicken salad to make 3 decent sandwiches, the servers could have said something and we would have ordered something else. My mom tried to call to speak to a manager, she called Tuesday and Wednesday and was unsuccessful both times and never received a call back. I tried to reach out through Facebook and reached no one. I'm really disappointed, I wanted to like this place because it's adorable and has a great atmosphere but this really put me me off and I don't believe I'll be back again.
Tampopo Sushi
20355 Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92886, United States
The food was pretty good, not amazing, but good.Service was a little lacking, first the took forever to take our order, then when it came, they delivered it to the wrong table. The servers do not know how to place food, so they reach between people to hand the food over to the far side of the table rather than placing plates from behind and directly in front of the guest. I believe the food should be placed from guests right. I digress, this isnt formal dining, it just annoys me when waitresses crowd me to stretch and reach all the way across the table to deliver food to the other side.Waitresses were not around to refill drinks or even check on us.The restaurant is a little pricey, all of the rolls are above what I am accustomed to paying, even from nicer restaurants. I also noticed that unlike most sushi restaurants I have been to, they do not include Miso soup. The restaurant is very small, but there wasnt really a wait to be seated.
D&D FireArt Chinese Cuisine
20501 Yorba Linda Blvd Spc D3, Yorba Linda, CA 92886, United States
First time at D&D FireArt (after having eaten in this physical location, which was a previous Asian restaurant in the same space, different owners, many times over the years). This place BLOWS THE SOCKS OFF the former tenants food!!! If you used to eat at this location, and havent tried D&D, please do yourself a favor and TRY IT - you wont be disappointed!! (sorry, completely forgot pictures, I was so taken with the food quality!)First up, we eat late, like very close to closing on weeknights, so no problem getting a table immediately. Service is prompt and very friendly. They have an unusual chicken egg drop soup that is very flavorful! Veggie egg rolls are nothing to write home about - standard fare, fresh, hot, but too oily for my liking. Will skip next time. The Mongolian beef was good... not great... beef was a bit chewy, not necessarily overcooked, but just good. The sauce was very good. The sweet-n-sour shrimp - WOW!!! GINORMOUS ( like HUGE), plump, fresh shrimp (largest I think Ive ever seen in a restaurant anywhere), perfectly cooked, smothered in a very flavorful, but not overly sweet (if thats possible) sweet-n-sour sauce, with plenty of pineapple. Just excellent, both quality and flavor! Cant say enough about it.House Special Fried Rice (chicken, shrimp, bbq pork) - very, very good! Definitely NOT your standard strip mall (did I mention this place is a little hole in the wall place in a small strip mall next to Vons... youd likely miss it if you didnt know it was here)... but I digress. ;)Definitely NOT your standard mall or strip mall restaurant fried rice, which is usually regular rice with some soy sauce and other flavoring tossed in, with frozen peas and carrots added. NOT HERE - this is the real deal - fresh, plump chunks of chicken and smaller (regular-sized) shrimp, perfectly scrambled egg, and whatever the mix of seasonings - just perfect!! Although, personal preference, I like my house fried rice to have beef instead of the bbq pork, but I suppose we could request that next time. And no cheap frozen veggies here, just quality, piping hot, well-prepared, tasty ingredients. I literally will have to go in sometime just for the fried rice as a meal!BTW, the family-style dishes are HUGE!!! A small/regular is plenty for 4, maybe 5 people, if a few dishes are ordered. And the large dishes should be called HUGE, more than enough for 5-7 people if sharing a number of dishes!Arrive hungry... you will leave fully satisfied. However, one small blip... did not get to try fried ice cream from the menu, in fact, for some reason, the server said there were NO desserts available? Didnt ask why, the food was so good, we just let it go (and there is a great walk-up ice cream place just a few doors down ;).My only regret is that there are only 2 locations to this advertised chain restaurant, in the entire U.S. that I could find - this one (the newer) and Santa Clarita, CA. At least everyone in these 2 cities and surrounding areas can have the pleasure... its well worth it!

Karma Lounge Restaurant
4905 Yorba Ranch Rd, Yorba Linda, CA 92887, United States
Delicious Indian food, both vegetarian and otherwise, made from scratch, and just as spicy as we wanted (between mild and medium). Service a little slow on Christmas Eve; apparently they had many takeout orders. But our server was very pleasant and the restaurant is large, with nice decor, and has booths and tables. We enjoyed our dinner very much.
Fresh Off The Boat Fish Grill
194 Yorba Linda Blvd, Placentia, CA 92870, United States
First time here tonight. The place was hoppin with customers, lots of to-go orders as well as socially distancing on the patio for dining. No inside seating which is good, nice to see compliance with local orders and guidelines. It tells me they follow health code guidelines in their kitchen too and are thinking about their customers and staffs health and well being. This is important. We all ordered something different. My son got the filet steak plate, hubby got the salmon plate, I got the mahi mahi plate, and our daughter tried the grilled shrimp plate. We tried the flowing appetizers: falafel, hummus, ceviche, and even a side of grilled tomato. Family had some baklava too. Everything was made to order and double checked by staff before it was given to us. Total wait time from ordering at the counter to our food being handed to me was 15 mins. You can order ahead on their website and we will do this next time now that we have tried their yummy food. All around great experience. Sorry, no pictures this time, brought all this goodness home to a hungry family. Cant wait to try something new next time....and maybe get some pictures taken before we devour the delicious foods!
Terra Wood-Fired Kitchen
4884 Main St, Yorba Linda, CA 92886, United States
I had high hopes for this spot, and was rather disappointed. The place was super busy, figured that was a good sign. Took ~15 min to get a seat (for 3), despite calling in for a table ahead of time. Ordered steaks, bolognese pasta, and a bruschetta appetizer. The coke was flat; asked about it, they said that was normal (its not, but point taken, they arent gonna fix it). Took a long time to get food. Received the appetizer after ~15 min without napkins or utensils, so it was nice to look at while we waited for that. It was tasty. After ~30 min, received the main courses. The steaks were a proper medium rare, but kinda cold. The Bolognese tasted like Ragu. Not terrible, but definitely not worth the premium price tag.Other customers who were seated before us were visibly agitated that they still hadnt gotten their food. Looked like there was a huge screw-up in the kitchen that required all waiters to have a pow-wow about it. We were told that it was busier than they expected, and the kitchen was behind. It was Saturday night 7pm, not sure what they were expecting. The waiters were friendly, but pretty out of sorts. The place is super cramped, I could literally hear every conversation happening in the half dozen tables around me. The decor is nice, but not very well secured--a customer almost knocked a large decoration off the wall into another customer when he tried to get up, as it was only held to the wall with a single screw. All in all, not worth the wait and money. I hope they get their act together--the OC Register made it sound like a hot spot to dine. Maybe one day theyll live up to the hype, but I wont be trying it again.
