Pho Morgan Hill
16965 Monterey Hwy #102B, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
Im a SJ resident, my attitude towards Vietnamese food is very hostile. I have the tendency to judge everything I eat when Im pleased with tasty and cheap meals to anything thats unpleasant in my tummy. Sadly, I commute to Morgan Hill for work. Doesnt offer much around this residing city when it comes down to variety of food. However, I found out theres a restaurant that offers Vietnamese food! My heart fluttered when I wanted to give this place a try after a lot of my fellow Vietnamese coworkers tell me that this location is the ONLY place that serves great tasting Vietnamese food around the area. How unfortunate that many people arent familiar with the different tastes of Asian food around there.Typically, Pho (soup), Bun (Vermicelli dishes), etc. are always served in a Vietnamese restaurant. However, most places around SJ have restaurants serving food in separation by Bánh cun (rice noodle roll filled with seasoned ground pork, minced wood ear mushroom, and minced shallots), Bánh mì (different kinds of bread more specifically, sandwiches including meat, soy fillings of pork belly, sausage, grilled pork with pork liver pâté, cucumber, etc.), or Bò 7 món (literally seven courses of beef, a selection of beef Vietnamese dishes), etc. This restaurant however has a little bit of everything!Ive enjoyed their Pho (mainly their combination soup that has brisket, tendons, flank, meatballs, etc.), Bo Luc Lac (shaking beef which is cubed beef with onions and bell peppers) served with steamed white rice and small bowl of soup (clear broth), Banh Mi (grilled chicken sandwich), Bun Bo Hue (spicy soup served with beef, fatty beef, pork blood, etc.), and something new off their menu, Mi Quang (rice noodles served with seasoned pork chop or chicken, quail eggs, shrimp, peanuts, ch (Vietnamese steamed pork sausage), chili pepper, fresh vegetables and pieces of crispy bánh tráng (crispy version of rice paper). All that Ive mentioned are some things that I love to order each time Ive eaten here!Im an avid customer, in which, the owners are always sweet and courteous all the time. Lunch time can be very busy, but dont quickly judge by their service. They talk to their customers especially those who are regulars, like myself, and remember your usual order! I love that about a restaurant, when the owners remember you!! Best part, they dont have MSG in their food, they accept debit and credit cards (most of SJVietnamese restaurants are CASH ONLY), and FREE Wi-Fi unlike any other SJ restaurants that NEVER give their customers FREE Wi-Fi!Convenient that theyre nearby my workplace. Off the beaten road of Monterey Road heading towards Socal, its tucked away in a small plaza. If you happen to have GPS, its not hard to find. Theres room outside in their patio area if you want to enjoy a nice lunch during a sunny day!Overall, I have no complaints! Ill keep coming back as long as they continue with their patronage and delicious food!
Jontys Vietnamese Eatery
17300 Depot St, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
I think its about time I wrote a review for this place, considering the fact that Ive been coming here as a regular customer, ever since I discovered this joint a few months ago.Jontys is not your typical Vietnamese restaurant nor a sketchy hole-in-the-wall mom and pop shop. Surprisingly, its a great spot to grab tasty banh mi sandwiches and rice plates on a warm or scorching hot summer day sipping on Vietnamese iced tea!!John and his wife, who operate this little humble-looking eatery, serve banh mi sandwiches, rice plates and salads situated next to the Morgan Hill Caltrain stop. A great couple, with happy attitudes and strong teamwork, Ive been coming back to their place ordering my favorite items off of their short yet toothsome menu!Best things to order IMO:Anchovy steak banh mi **take note: order it with an egg! You can thank me later!** topped with a fried egg (cooked anyway you like)Pork belly banh mi! That pork belly seasoned and fried to perfection, along with a fried egg? Oh yeah baby! Im salivating over it!Lemongrass chicken banh mi? Light yet delicious, so its not too heavy for your tummy.Any choice of meat or tofu, fried egg with rice and a side salad....a good amount of food packed into a small container? Also a winner in my book! Spring rolls are filling and the fried egg rolls are just okay, but I wouldnt skip it. Just try it for once or order it if you are slightly hungry with not a big appetite. If you happen to live in the area, check it out! You dont want to miss it. If you are just waiting at Caltrain, order something to go! If you are driving up North or South, make this place as your go-to stop. Trust me. You would want to come back. Will I return? Well as a regular customer, the owners who know me by name, and always greet me with a smile and converse with me? I think that says it all. Yes!!!
Simmering Pho Cafe
213 W Main Ave, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
One of the finest Vietnamese restaurant in California. I love their foods especially spring roll served with peanut sauce. I was surprised by the taste of the sauce, so amazing. Moreover, the lovely and friendly of the owners of the restaurant made me feel comfortable. If you have a chance to visit to Morgan Hill, I highly recommend this restaurant to you. They won’t fail you.

CLASSY NAILS
15874 Monterey Hwy, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
I really enjoyed this place. I have been looking for a lot of places that are not super expensive but also had good quality nails. I looked on Yelp to see other nail salons, and the reason I was attracted to Classy Nails is because I saw some of the pictures of the inside and I thought that it looks really pretty. I was hoping that it would still be just as nice when I went today. It might be because my favorite color is purple, but I definitely did think that the atmosphere was very pleasant to be in. The walls were purple, and there were a lot of pretty decorations to look at including butterflies. I thought that it was very charming and cute and what I liked most of all was that it was not super packed like other nail salons I have been in. Because of this there was a lot more attention to details and the staff seemed genuinely interested in their clients. I hate when I go to a nail salon and I feel like an outsider and I feel like the staff does not like me and that I cannot properly communicate with them and tell them what I want or dont want. This was not the case at Classy Nails. Everyone I talked to had a really nice attitude and they did not seem rude at all or rushed. They were very nice and accommodating and thankfully they spoke English and communicated with me very well. I had a bad experience last time at a previous nail salon when I asked a simple question to the nail technician. I asked her what the difference was between gel and shellac. Nobody understood me and it wasnt because of my question it was because I was speaking English. 3 different people kept asking me to repeat myself and still had no idea what I was talking about. Theonly way I got an answer was when the lady next to me getting her nails done asked the owner the question I was trying to ask. only then did I get an answer. I think that is very unprofessional and it made it feel very awkward. At Classy Nails the nail technician asked me if I was from around here and had several conversations with me. I felt very informed when I was talking to her and I felt like my needs were going to be met. I got gel nails and a regular pedicure. I thought the two ladies did a great job and I really like how my nails turned out. It was much cheaper than other places I have been. For the gel nails and regular pedicure it was $45. That to me is awesome and that alone would make me want to come back. Im glad I found a place that is reasonably priced and relaxing to be in. Great job Classy Nails! I would recommend it to anyone.
