Pho Ha Vietnamese Restaurant
695 Indian Hill Blvd, Pomona, CA 91767, United States
I have been several times to this location! The food was great and delicious. The wait time was not long. The waiters and staff were polite and helpful with meal choices. Of course, the location might not be great, but their food is great. It is located on the border, between Pomona and Claremont. So, if by any chance, you are in this area, I would recommend a visit to this establishment. It is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants, where I enjoy eating!

Pho Vina
281 S Thomas St, Pomona, CA 91766, United States
As is usually the case, some people can only complain and I feel Pho Vina could be getting a bad rap. Ive been coming here weekly for about a year and have nothing bad to say about this great spot. Firstly the menu, its enourmous! Ive barely put a dent in it and nothing has let me down. The food comes hot and delicous time after time, whether busy or slow. Just now I was here by myself and it is quiet. I got my usual vermicelli with mini egg rolls sliced into bite size pieces so hot Ive taken a minute to write this while it cools. It took 4 min. from the time I sat to get my plate. Better than any fast food dump!Alongside my plate I always order Vietnamese iced coffee which is super tasty and packs a caffeine wallop that blows Starbucks away.I will adress one common misconception Ive heard, that the staff are rude. This is a cultural thing for sure. They are laser focused on getting you served as quick as possible and thats what they do. Small talk is not in their agenda. Primarily due to language difficulties is what Ive found. This family busts their buts to keep this spot going.Because of its prime location I could guess that they need to sell a whole lot of coffee just to break even.Sometimes youll notice the television is on, and everytime its an Asian cooking show that Ive seen them watching and commenting on.Definitely give them a chance, theres enough variety in the menu for everyone. Ive also heard the chix sandwhich is the bomb but I cant verify that personally. Will update.

SJ Restaurant
1280 E Holt Ave #5818, Pomona, CA 91767, United States
I am a Vietnamese, just moved to Pomona so I am starving for real Vietnamese food. I found SJ as a saviour after having bad experience about food and service from Pho Ha ( even I order to go their staff who took order was rude) .I had to gave up all Pho,spicy beef noodle and Rice after trying to eat. It was almost 70 usd food went to trash bin since we could not try. It was not Vietnamese food, poor quality ingredients and lazy cooks which you can see obviously on the way how they make food for you.I was like hopeless to find good vietnamese restaurant nearby my place but luckily SJ helped me out. I was doubtful when I first came but I gave a try. I was surprised how good and authentic their food was1. Pho: Good Pho has clear broth which is from beef bone and Pho spice, not blackish and look like there was dirt inside. They made it. The tenderness and fresh of Meats requires to be tender, juicy not soft like melting and dry like wood, they also made it and last but not least Pho vegetables is also important to enhance Pho flavor, you need a fresh look vegetables and here SJ they made it. My family was so happy to eat and empty the Pho bowl.2. Spicy beef noodle: this one is not easy to cook sinve it requires to have flavor of spices for this special noodle, I ate this bowl and I was satisfied with its flavour. They cooked it right way and used good noodle brand not cheap one like I tried before, you can feel from noodles texture3. Broken rice: They used real broken rice not regular rice like the one I tried . The flavor and texture of broken rice and regular one are different. It would be cheating to mention Com Tam - Broken Rice but then you use regular long grain rice to sell to your customer.BBQ pork was tender and flavourful as well as steam egg was tender and fresh, very good fish sauce.4. Pad Thai: presentation look not attractive but when eating it was very delicious, the shrimp and chicken were tasty, fresh and juicy not as dry as wood like another place.5. Shaken beef rice: Beef was very tender even we tooked it home and warmed it up again with microwave.I barely go to do review but I think I should since they are deserved for hard work. Their food was good with good price too,not over price.

Yume House Pho
200 E 1st St, Pomona, CA 91766, United States
The elderly Vietnamese couple who owns the restaurant are very sweet and friendly. The store itself is pretty humble, though the outdoor seating is pleasant. I actually enjoyed the spring rolls more than my pho, but the noodles and jalapeños were really nice! The pho is a bit middle-of-the-road, at least to an American palette. I’ve been to Vietnam three times, and the broth is very authentic, but not what a lot of people are used to in the States.

Pho 888 Pomona
2266 S Garey Ave, Pomona, CA 91766, United States
Based on other reviews, we were really excited to try this so we ordered the orange chicken, combo fried rice, shaking beef and and slices steak pho. Unfortunately, the high reviews did not deliver. The orange chicken looked like left over tiny remnant pieces and the fried rice just looked dry. And, it was. The chicken did not deliver that orange flavor. The shaking beef aa only mediocre and some pieces tasted old. I did not taste the pho abut my daughter and wife did not come close to finishing it. Was really counting on this restaurant since it was close to us but this was a one time try. Its more than fair to rate 3 stars but its really closer to 2 stars.

They offer delicious Vietnamese cuisine and refreshing beverages. Their special Pho and House Special on rice are flavorful and satisfying. Classic milk tea is a vital and balanced drink, while the choco banana frappe is a delightful treat. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, its a fantastic dining experience.

Wednesday 8/16/23 Dinner at Lemon Grass Bistro in Chino Hills with my cousin. Specialty and fusion Vietnamese foods. It’s delicious. This restaurant has one of the best Banh Xeo in town!!! Hands down to Chef/co-owner Lily. Beef tacos are very good. The belly buster rice tasted like my mother’s home cooking, very authentic.Mary Kate, service staff, was friendly and attentive and serving us with a beautiful smile. Gorge and Lily, restaurant owners, were friendly and chat with us, providing us with their recommendations for next time we return. The restaurant’decor is modern. Restaurant can improve by playing upbeat music.I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be returning to try the other items on the menu.David YoungRestaurant Enthusiast

Hiccups Pho
2266 S Garey Ave, Pomona, CA 91766, United States
Best pho spot in Pomona hands down. The owner is amazing and will remember your orders even if you havent been in a while. The food is fantastic and very fresh compared to other places. My fiance and I are rarely in the area anymore but when we are we always stop in. This place really treats you as though you were family that just stopped in after a long journey. You just dont get that kind of service anymore and I hope they keep it up and get the recognition they deserve.

J Sushi & Ramen
18 Rancho Camino Dr #101, Pomona, CA 91766, United States
Always curious about a ramen-ya I havent tried (been pretty much everywhere east of LA and between San Gabriel and Costa Mesa). This place was pretty decent for the IE, but below average if youre willing to drive another 20 minutes.Good service. Reasonable prices (only talking about ramen). Nice atmosphere. On to the food: Ordered miso ramen with a side of karaage. Karaage meat was well-cooked and seasoned, though the batter, while well-fried, had no seasoning and only tasted like old frier oil. With the ramen, noodles and egg were medium (would want both a touch less cooked); veggies were fine; chashu was pretty dry and chewy (mainly because Im pretty sure it was sirloin instead of belly). However, the main offender was that the broth was so damn salty as to make it essentially undrinkable (literally the saltiest ramen Ive ever had).End result: less salty broth (and more tender chashu), and Id go back...but not order anything fried. As is, Id rather drive the extra 20 minutes.
