DT Noodle
5015 Foothills Blvd, Roseville, CA 95747, United States
My family has been coming to DT Noodles since they were back in Lincoln. They have our favorite soup of all, #44 Banh Canh Do Bien! The red broth is so delicious with a lot of seafood and thick Udon noodles. We add a side of the thin sliced beef too. Makes it even better!! This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in the Roseville area IMO.

Teriyaki To Go Foothill Junction
5098 Foothills Blvd #1, Roseville, CA 95747, United States
Buckle in because this review is one of the most passionate I have ever written. To sum it up, do not purchase food here. I have no idea why there are so many 5 star reviews and why there were like 10 people in this place when I picked up my order. I paid $17.70 for a chicken rice bowl, a beef rice bowl, a side of rice, and a side of miso.Pros: The transaction process was good and the elderly man who served me was very pleasant. The bathroom was clean and the menu is focused and simple.Cons: The quality of the food was abysmal. The beef was a poor cut with a poor texture and frozen flavor. The chicken was ok, but not nearly the quality of a $7 bowl. The sauce was the absolutely worst part: it looks, tastes, and smells like Thanksgiving-style beef gravy. It was poured heavily on the top of both rice bowls and ruined my evening. I swear that if I were to be sentenced to prison, this gravy would be a staple of most meals. The rice was the only redeeming part of the rice bowl, and even then it was mediocre. As hungry as my pregnant wife and I were, we did not finish either bowl and she refused hers after one bite. The miso was like someone sprinkled 1/2 the recommended packet of $0.05 miso soup mix into the vat of hot water and didnt even bother to mix it. Zero flavor and no texture, even though there was technically tofu in the takeout bowl I was given. On top of all that, the only spicy sauce offered is a bottle of Sriracha: usually there are more options including Thai-style chili sauce. Conclusion: I cannot not recommend this place more. Please, for the love of all that is holy: do not eat here. Let it go and maybe either the ownership will change up their menu or someone else will move in and do it right. Its not worth your dollar and not worth trying, trust me.If the ownership of this establishment is reading this, Im sorry that I have to communicate this but the quality of your food needs to be brought up to speed. You seem like nice people in the store, and with the right product set, you can become a mainstay in this neighborhood.Edit: grammar and forgot to mention lack of hot sauces

The Fig Tree Coffee, Art, & Music Lounge
217 Vernon St, Roseville, CA 95678, United States
First time visitor and I plan on coming back for more. We were a party of three and we were greeted with a friendly smile and a nice hello. We ordered a couple of lattes and a Thai Iced coffee. I was surprised by how quick they got our order out and personally delivered our drinks to our table. The only shop so far that has done so in the Roseville area. It was a relief since I have a reputation for spilling half of my drink and ruining the beautiful latte art these talented barista have created. So, that was a pleasant surprise. Not sure if they usually do that or just for us since we were seated near the front counter, but it was appreciated. The hot latte I ordered was terrific and my friends drinks did not disappoint. We were also treated to some live music by a patron playing his guitar. They usually have live music on Friday nights so that was kind of cool. I would definitely recommend this shop to all my friends and family.

Moon Tea House

Looking for a spot to grab a delicious cup of Vietnamese coffee? Look no further than Moon Tea House in Roseville! I recently had the pleasure of trying their coffee, and I have to say, it was absolutely amazing. The coffee was rich and full-bodied, with just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the strong, bold flavor. But what really impressed me was the attention to detail and care that went into each cup. From the quality of the beans to the expert brewing technique, it was clear that Moon Tea House takes their coffee seriously. In addition to their amazing coffee, Moon Tea House also boasts a cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether youre looking to catch up with friends over a cup of coffee or just need a quiet spot to work, this cafe has got you covered.Overall, I highly recommend Moon Tea House to anyone looking for a great cup of Vietnamese coffee. Teriyaki Domo
1609 Douglas Blvd, Roseville, CA 95661, United States
My first visit. The frontage is modest, not bad. This place is busy during lunch time. So, you know it's good! The wait is not long (esp. for the quality of the food). The service is … okay (meh)… but certainly not bad. Let's say they are professional. They are just busy trying to get the orders out efficiently. And, THE FOOD!!! WOW!!!I ordered the teriyaki chicken combo platter to go. It comes with choices of great sides (gyoza, California roll, mixed tempura, or even potstickers). I asked the owner's opinion and he suggested potstickers. Truly excellent fresh potstickers (~5)! The chicken was perfectly cooked right in front of me. I got a fresh salad. The rice was wonderfully cooked and just enough (about 1.5 cups in a half-sphere). I kept saying “Wow” as I enjoyed the meal. For $14 (incl. tax) this is the best bang for the buck if you value quality!I'm definitely coming back.

Urban Rolls Roseville
1525 Blue Oaks Blvd STE 130, Roseville, CA 95747, United States
Whenever I find a new Pho or Thai restaurant, I use the quality of the spring/urban rolls as the baseline. If a place can't get those right, it's all downhill from there. This place has good rolls, and the meals maintain the standard. I love the bao steamed buns (chicken) and my partner loved her chicken noodle soup. Parking is plentiful and the seating was clean. We look forward to coming back and trying more on the menu.Update: been back here quite a few times since my original review and I'm still loving it here. Some restaurants put too much effort into the decor and wardrobe to try and come off authentic but in the end the food just didn't deliver. Here, they aren't trying to pawn off “authenticate” in the outward appearance. They focus on quality of the food and I appreciate it that so much. I hope more people in the area discover this place and keep the business rolling in.

Nugget Markets
771 Pleasant Grove Blvd, Roseville, CA 95678, United States
I have shopped at Nugget Markets in Roseville since 2016, and they have been my go-to market since then. But I have witnessed some down-right frightening situations since that time due to their horrible, infection-producing practices. The first time was when I witnessed first-hand a filthy bathroom. After I brought that to their attention, they seem to have rectified the situation and I have not seen a dirty bathroom since. At least from what I can see. That was a year or so ago before Covid. But after today, i will never darken their doors again for the following reasons:They were letting people in mask-less, even though it is a government mandate. They were asking people at the door, but if they refused to wear a mask they were let in to the store, regardless. Why ask? It is just a sham if you let people in the door, regardless! Then as I was leaving the store, I witnessed one employee checking the temperature of another as she entered to begin her shift. They shared out loud the result of that temperature check. Her temperature was 101 degrees. Now, I am a retired nurse and I recognize that as a temperature that is a classic sign of COVID, although it could be something else. Certainly, it is not indicative of the common cold. I believe the woman let in the door is a checker. I have seen her many times. So she is handling our food with symptoms of Covid, even if not a checker.I now am left to wonder how many of the almost 30,000 people that have contracted Covid in our county and the almost 300 that have perished as a result of this deadly disease contracted Covid at a Nugget Market.Because they are a store brimming with potential deadly disease.I called and spoke with the owner about my concern with the employee being allowed to work with a fever. He said he would talk with the person but he did NOT say he would send her home. So this infected person is allowed to handle our food and spread her infection to the people shopping there, and to other employees. So beware of shopping at Nugget Markets in Roseville. You are literally placing your life at great risk doing so.***Edit of my initial review following the owners response: Unfortunately this person is not being honest. I witnessed a shopper being allowed in the store with no mask! The gentleman appeared perfect healthy and rushed in the store without a mask. The employee at the door asked no questions regarding his health.Since the owners response is not being completely honest regarding the mask situation, I feel I have to doubt his response regarding the employee who was allowed to work with her temperature of 101 degrees. It may be true, it may not be. But the fact of the matter is they advertise that a person with a fever of over 100.4 degrees is sent home immediately. That did not happen. But let the potential shopper be the judge. As for me, I would never trust this company again with my health. Doing so could be a death sentence for me.

Soho Sushi and Teppanyaki
1811 Douglas Blvd a1, Roseville, CA 95661, United States
I feel compelled to share a very strange and uncomfortable experience I had with this restaurant. I work in hospitality and just experienced one of the worst customer service moments I've ever witnessed. Dave, the host who greeted me when I walked in, was extremely abrupt, rude and snappy to me for just asking if there was a table available for 7 people. I understand it was a walk in and last minute, but being told “No. we aren't taking you” without any context or even a simple polite greeting is not customer service. “We aren't taking you”?! How do you say that to a patron wanting to dine at your restaurant? Not even a warm welcome or a smile. I then asked when next available seating was and told “nope, not servicing you. We are closed” when the restaurant was clearly open. After I looked around he said “we stopped seating at 7:30” (it was 7:40) with a very stern and negative delivery. I don't get it, all I did was walk in and ask if there was anything available for my family and kids and received one of the coldest responses I've ever experienced. Dave is not an example of customer service, nor should he be representing this restaurant and its brand. I hope someone is able to give him this feedback so he can learn from this as we all have “those moments” or bad days, but this is just something I can't stomach for not being addressed. Especially with a restaurant that has such great reviews and ratings. I hope management can give him this constructive feedback so he doesn't degrade or make people feel so unappreciated just for wanting to be patrons at an establishment that has the online ratings it does. Unacceptable, unprofessional and discourteous. Best of luck to his ability to simply be a better human. And hopefully just chalk it up to a “bad day” because we all have those moments. With much love and respect from a fellow hospitality worker - Taylor.
