The female worker with the spider tattoo on her neck is extremely rude and does not greet anyone but barks at them to ask what they want to order, she gives everyone attitude even the delivery driver that came in to deliver a package! She has zero customer service skills and makes you feel like you are bothering her when you are just trying to order food. Very unprofessional will not be coming back to this waba grill thumbs down. She should be moved to the kitchen because a customer service position makes u the face of the store and u can uphold the image or ruin it by being rude.
Ramen Ichiraku
10343 Garvey Ave, El Monte, CA 91733, United States
I saw this place on Tik Tok and it looked great with a fun theme. Theres only about a dozen tables, so we had to wait an hour to be seated with only a handful of parties ahead of us.The restaurant was very unorganized with the guest seating arrangements and wait-list.The food was okay at best. A pack of ramen from HMart may be equivalent to the soup bases they serve-- hence you just add the toppings. Our server mixed up a dish with the table next to ours, so our neighbor ate an extra spicy bowl of ramen and we had a very bland bowl. Neither of us were happy with the mixup. The restroom is located in the kitchen area, which makes me worry about the cleanliness if just anybody is allowed to stroll through where the food is made. There was a few dead flies in the front window next to where the hours are posted. And last but not least, theres a bug zapper in the middle of the dining area that was constantly killing flies which did not make me feel comfortable at all! The constant noise of ZAPPING while my party and I ate was very unpleasant! Eating next to the fly zapper made the over all experience uncomfortable.

This is a message to the business owner. Your in the restaurant business. Food and service are the 2 things you provide and you failed to provide both. We walked in and you dont turn on the air conditioner. Instead you personally sit in the corner and have a ac unit pointed at you only. I went to your bathroom and your too cheap to fix your plumbing. Instead you have a bucket to catch the sink water that drips on the floor. Your soap is mixed with water to save a few cents and the bathroom is prime for bacteria. When I peeked into the kitchen its dirty and disgusting. When we took our seat the fork was dirty and the employee was reluctant to change it for a clean one. We deliberated to try your food but in fear for our heath we left. Needless to say still paid for the overpriced tea.If you at all care about your restaurant I would advise you to put some energy in running your business and fix things that are broken. Take a little pride in your business.Additionally there is a baby roach outside your business where we parked. I would advise you take action before the health department gets involvedIf you read this review and refund me for the lemon tea that we paid for I will update the review. Service date june 22 time 417pmUpdate. Its been 2 days and clearly the restaurant values their $4.95 vs doing whats rite

Most of the five-star restaurants are new accounts and have only sent one message. The star rating is too obvious. Let's put it this way, the taste is average, on the same level as domestic food stalls. The most important thing is that you open it in El Monte and there are warehouses next to you. Prices and portions will definitely open up there soon. A portion of fried noodles is $13, and a noodle soup is $13. The portions are amazing, just like the side dishes given at a seafood restaurant, especially the fried noodles, which are a little bit for 13 dollars., I don't know where you got the courage, but I went to the restaurant where the price of fried noodles was the highest and the price was the least.

Visited because of an article I read and I mostly stick to veggie food so I was excited to try something good, Mexican, and veggie. Tacos were great. Flavorful and authentic tasting although their al pastor tasted, looked, and felt more like they used mushrooms than impossible meat as advertised which was very disappointing since that is what originally piqued my interest. I love al pastor and would have still ordered it but call it what it is, to do otherwise is an insult to customers and they charged us the menu price which I imagine is for the impossible meat since they are called impossible pastor but all we got was mushrooms instead. Their buñuelo had the perfect crisp to it however they use both cinnamon sugar and syrup and it was just too sweet. We had two of the aguas frescas, guava and watermelon and both were delicious but we showed up at 11am and already no CBD aguas which is 50% of the reason we drove all the way from Loma Linda to try this place. The watermelon drink had small chunks of fruit making it more delicious but I wish both drinks (tried the guava too which was also really good and tasted like the actual fruit) had been colder. Decent street parking if youre there at the right time. Cozier sitting area than I expected but some of the cars that do get to park inside are right up against some of the tables since their inside parking is pretty much nonexistent. When we ordered the first time I ordered two tacos, one drink, beans and rice. They came out with everything but the beans and brought the buñuelo instead and told us if we wanted the beans we had to pay for them but when I asked the lady if she could just take the buñuelo back she said no. Pretty bad customer service but whatever, we paid for the beans and tried the buñuelo, like I said though, way too sweet. Overall good food but just too many small disappointments especially for driving so far. I was really excited to recommend this place to friends and family but I cant stand behind a recommendation with the kind of experience we had. Theyre literally headed in a great direction but are just not quite there yet. That article really hyped it up for more than it was. Considering the distance, most likely wont be visiting again but if youre nearby and a veggie Mexican like me, its definitely something to try. I was hoping Id be able to give 5 stars, really wanna give 4 stars but can only justify 3.
Cha Cafe
10308 Lower Azusa Rd, El Monte, CA 91731, United States
A bit pricey for what it is. Despite being called Cha Cafe, there is more of an emphasis on mixed fruit drinks and coffee than tea.Food options are your once-a-food-truck-turned-restaurant selection: pan-asian, mexican, and american fusion. Expect BBQ wings in your nachos. If youre in the mood for a step up from those Tea shop snacks (e.g., popcorn chicken), this is where you want to be (more fun after a few drinks!).This place is located in a strip mall, next door to a coin-laundromat. Staff can range from warm to cold in service, depending on the time of day. Their surprising social media presence and stalwart stand at the 626 night market are what most know them for.
SINGKAWANG CAFE
10404 Valley Blvd, El Monte, CA 91731, United States
If you are thinking about ordering takeout from Singkawang Cafe (they offer delivery via Uber Eats), my suggestion is to avoid this option. Actually, considering their rudeness and disregard for customer service, my suggestion would be to find an alternative location. Singkawang Cafe messed up an order of 6 items from Uber Eats, preparing only half the items ordered (total of 3/6 prepared). Thats okay, people make mistakes. When I called, they said that they messed up the order, and apologized, they could clearly see the order chit which had six items on it. I was upset at this point because my wife and children were hungry and we had half of our order ready. But the icing on the cake was when we spoke to the restaurant management in person, they changed their story saying that it was Uber Eats that made the mistake, only sending half the order to them. It is this dishonesty that made me write this review. Mistakes made, yes, it happens. Lying about it to the customer to cover your mistakes, thats another story. All we asked for was for the restaurant to cover the delivery charge since we had to go pick up the order ourselves (we even told them restaurant credit would be fine), and we were refused. Ive ordered from this restaurant several times previously, but this time would be our last. Very disappointing.
Xcora Gastronoma Urbana
11583 Lower Azusa Rd, El Monte, CA 91732, United States
Let me tell you something. Just come here. A review wont give you the entire experience of just how AMAZING the food is. Mexican seafood is normally not something I crave so when I tried this place, I didnt expect much. Now its one of my absolute favorite places to go. My sister doesnt even like shrimp but somehow this restaurant was able to convert her.I recommend the ceviche dishes because they are ABSOLUTELY to die for. The best ceviche I have ever had. My mouth waters just thinking about it and I wish I had more!Spiciness Rating: Moderate-HighIf you dont have a tolerance for spicy food, Id stay away from anything that has house spices. I LOVE spicy food and there dishes made me order multiple glasses of water. So be prepared if you want that extra kick, but its definitely worth it! The spiciness of the food doesnt take away from the flavor!Health Rating: Moderate-HighMost hole in the wall Mexican seafood restaurants dont have the freshest fish nor do they have many healthy options. Rest easy knowing that their seafood is fresh and you can definitely taste the quality. I recommend the octopus dishes! They also have vegan options as well so go nuts!Atmosphere: High QualityStepping into the restaurant, youre greeted his with history, culture, and art at a blend of traditional and modern taste. Dining in is a must just to experience all of the beautiful Mexican art work, as well as reading the origin story of the restaurant. I could sit there forever and take in the scenery.Service: Low-ModerateNormally when it comes to my dinning experience, service is 50% of my interest. How often do they come check on your table, do they refill drinks, are they friendly, etc. And when it comes to service, this is the only downside to this restaurant. Whole the servers are friendly, dont expect them to be attendant. Id expect this if a place was busy, but I have been here three separate times with varying levels or business and its still a hassle to get their attention. There were only six tables seated and many servers but it still took multiple times to get a cup of water. Normally thats fine for me but not when my tongue is burning- While I would normally bump a star down for service, I cant do that! My heart and stomach loves the food too much to do this! All in all, definitely try it! I BEG you to try and see for yourself!
Krudos Sushi & Modern Kitchen
1725 Durfee Ave, South El Monte, CA 91733, United States
Ive been a customer since this establishment was located in Whittier (AKA Bambooze Brewhouse & Sushi) and as much as I love their food - BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT PAYING WITH A CARD (pay cash if you can). I went this location 2 weeks ago and the next day I saw a fraudulent charge on my account (different amount and different card then the night before, which means they likely store card numbers in those hand held kiosks from your previous visits as again Im a frequent customer) - when I contacted the restaurant, staff was no help stating they had no way of voiding/reversing the transaction or even looking it up. I was given the owners cell phone number and left him a very detailed message, to which I didnt get any response so I had to resort to filing a dispute with my bank and canceling that debit card. Again, love their food but definitely only doing cash moving forward as its alarming that staff can just create charges out of nowhere then make zero attempt to resolve the problem.
