Vanessas Bistro 2 Vietnamese Restaurant
1512 Locust St, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States
This place is bad in too many aspects. I feel Im pretty generous in my reviews very rarely do I leave a 1 star but this meal for 4 cost me 160 ish and gave me food poisoning. The food itself along side being expensive was bad. I usually like to leave alternatives in my recommendation but I only know one place in sanjose that serves similar food that isnt bad. The bahn mi was about 90% bread and 10% crab. The fried chicken was decent but they clearly cut the chicken so thin to make it seem like its more than it is and as a result dried out the chicken. The spring rolls were chewy and was more rice than roll.If you see this review GO SOMEWHERE ELSE even if youre looking for Vietnamese food look else where.

East Ocean Seafood Restaurant
1841 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94598, United States
We loved Dynasty Bistro and came back to find out that it's been taken over by East Ocean. They said it was originally owned by them but they renamed it. It was very confusing. It was our place for the last year and it was so good. We weren't told when we ordered off the same menu that anything had changed until we came in to pickup. It was very confusing seeing a new sign and a new dim sum menu. It's also now a seafood restaurant. That was odd. Sadly the food was very bland and tasteless. We were very disappointed. We spent a lot of money and the cost went up too. It was $133. The yellow curry noodles were bland, the honey shrimp and tofu veggies had no flavor and the fried rice was different. The orange chicken, Rangoon's and fried chicken was ok. It just wasn't the same and missing the flavors, seasoning and salt. Very disappointing and very expensive. We won't go back again. I wish it would go back to Dynasty Bistro. We liked the food and Sammy was nice.

True Food Kitchen
120 Broadway Ln Bld #4 Space #1044, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States
I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with True Food Kitchen that I feel compelled to share. I had placed a substantial order for my event, totaling nearly $600, and I took all necessary steps to ensure everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disaster. To begin with, I called the restaurant a day before my event to confirm my order and was told that everything was good to go. This gave me a sense of assurance that my carefully planned event would have the food it needed on time. However, on the day of our meeting, when we were eagerly awaiting the delivery of our food, I received a text from the restaurant, and to my utter shock, my food order was canceled. Yes, you read that right--on the very day of my event!I was flabbergasted by this unprofessional behavior. The whole point of placing my order weeks in advance and confirming it the day before was to ensure that everything would be ready and delivered as scheduled. This was not a last-minute order; it was planned meticulously, and I relied on True Food to fulfill their part of the agreement. To make matters worse, when I called to inquire about this abrupt cancellation, I was met with a callous response from the general manager, Chris. Instead of offering to attempt to rectify the situation, all I got was a Sorry, can you re-order again? This was a shocking display of indifference towards a customer who had spent a significant amount of money and trusted their service. As someone who values professionalism and reliability when dealing with restaurants, I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am in the way True Food Kitchen handled this situation. Canceling a large order on the very day it was supposed to be delivered is inexcusable, and the lack of accountability from the general manager only adds insult to injury.Needless to say, my event was marred by this experience, and I would strongly caution anyone considering placing a large order with them. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this establishment, as they have demonstrated a severe lack of professionalism, customer care, and reliability when it matters most.

Updates-3/24/22. Still MY BEST WABA.Food tastes are great than any other waba places.Chef's food is always steady. Also Server. Her name is Cecilia is very nice and professional about her work.I like to see people who do their work with joy and positivity. Restaurant work is tough. Service work is very stressful (IF U KNOW U KNOW) But she is always same moods with smily customer service. I want to give a huge credits for that.I am proudly say this is my best waba.Hopefully Owners know about this and keep maintained this great place continuously..Best WABA GRILL EVER.CHEF's Cook is really great, and very kind employees. There are many WABA grills, but this is the only my favorite WABA.

Located next door to a school of rock and in the same parking lot as a whole foods, getting parking was really easy. I actually parked right in front of the restaurant, which also gave me a great view into the school of rock. Kids. Practicing some song..I feel like I know it but I dont know the name. I couldnt actually hear it. Even when I went into the restaurant though they were right next door, I couldnt hear it. If I didnt have rehearsal that day, I probably would have stayed to eat my food but I got a poke bowl, spam musubi and a strawberry lemonade to go. Everything was absolutely delicious. The food is very fresh, the guy who took my order was very quick and also helped me a lot. Lot. I never been to this place before, and was honestly a bit starved as I hadnt eaten all day. I got a lot of things in my bowl and when I got to rehearsal to eat everything it was almost as if I hadnt left the restaurant. Everything was delicious!

Xin Wang Food Inc
810 N Nogales St, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
Its super salty. First of all, I made a note about the lack of salt when I placed the order. It was still salty when it came out! I told the waiter, but the waiter said it was my personal problem! I often go to restaurants to eat, and I have never encountered anything really salty, and I have never asked for less salt in other restaurants. Then the waiter said that the soup was already made and could not be changed. Later the landlady said it could be changed. Put a bowl of stock soup. But I communicated with the waiter several times, and the waiter said that it cannot be changed and the soup is ready. I also asked the waiter if I could put less salt in the original soup, but the waiter emphasized that it couldnt be changed. The original soup cannot be changed.........there is no communication at all. Later, the landlady added a big bowl of original soup to me so that it was no longer salty. But why do you keep telling me that the original soup cannot be changed... I am really confused. We communicated for a long time. Too much effort. I keep emphasizing that there is something wrong with my personal taste. There are more people in the store now than when it first opened, so thats it...

Where do I start? This is by far the worst that I have EVER been treated, worst service, worst drinks, worst everything. Definitely wont be coming back. First gave me the wrong drink, and I just let it go and asked for a new one. But when they started giving my daughter dirty looks and handed me the drink back I realized that they had put a ton of bobba when I had asked for none. When I asked who was in charge, they told me that nobody was. One of the girls seemed under an influence of some sort. She refused to give me her name but I thought I heard jocelyn from a coworker which was also under an influence. He had earrings and was on his phone the whole time. I hope you hire more responsible people next time around. Another thing, you should consider a deep clean every once in a while, my daughter found a fruit fly in her drink. Another reason we wont be coming back.

This happened a week ago when we visited Walnut Creek, CA. We called at 5pm that day and asked if we needed a reservation for 12 people for 5:30 pm. A female employee answered the call and relied to us that we didnt need a reservation since we will be there in 30 mins and its not that busy yet. We arrived at the restautant at around 5:30pm and explained to a Male employee/waiter that we need a table for 12 and explained to him we called earlier and a female told us we didnt needed a reservation. We were asked to wait and seat on a temporary table and they will be preparing the table for us. After waiting for about 10 mins, a female employee who claim to be the manager approach us with a very rude and weird attitude and start asking us if we ever made a reservation, whom we spoke to, whether a male or female. We explain to her we called earlier as was told we didnt need a reservation. Now she started to raise her voice that she is the only one who answers calls to that restaurant and claims she never received a call. I told her that its not a big deal and we can find somewhere else to eat if she cant accomodate us. With a bad tone of voice she relied to us she we make adjustment to the tables and for the mean time as all of us to step out of the restaurant, wait outside and ask the kids not to touch the tables because they are still under COVID guidlines. And they will call us when the table is ready. So we left the restaurant and never will ever go back and even try any Burmese food. I guess this is what you call Burmese Hospitality at its best. We instead went and had a great and awesome food at the Thai restaurant down the street from them. Well the best part in this is that, when I went to the bathroom before the crazy manager approach us, I over heard her scolding the waiters and servers from a complaint they had received the day before. When we left, one of the waiter apologized for the fiasco and that the female employee who was rude to us was just a manager and not the owner. Be careful at this place, you never know what you get when the manager is in a bad mood or having a bad day.

I went there twice in 2 weeks actually. They have a nice outdoor patio under a giant Oak tree. I thought the waiters were not nice at all the first time, and good the second time. The first time I went it for my best friends birthday. We were 2 women. I had told them that in the reservation which I had made 2 weeks before.. They shoved us on the path leading to the pretty area. The table and chairs were uneven and wobbled. They ignored us completely for 1/2 hour, when I flagged down a waiter and said, excuse me, but could you send our waiter over please? He said, I am your waiter. They offer small plates there. . She had ordered a taco, which was actually small, and I ordered roasted beet salad. .. The beets were good EXCEPT they were covered with an IMMESE sour cream and cheese type topping. It completely smothered the beets and was so rich it was actually gross. It was about 2500 calories. I tried to scrape off as much as I could, but it was like slime. Then, I order a slice of cake for my friend, carrot cake. We were given a tiny piece, which was fine with me. Then, minutes later a giant piece of carrot cake was plopped down in front of us. We were confused, and I wanted to ask the waiter about it. We waited and waited and finally went looking for him. I was told that the small piece was gratis and it was because I had told them it was her birthday. That was very nice of them! If only they had explained when we ordered that we were already about to get that same cake. They never explained. I asked them to take back the second piece but they did not want to, and although we never touched it. Finally they did. Overall however, not fun. the second time was so much better. We were two couples who were seated t in a nice location. I ordered a squid salad but it was rubbery and weird tasting. The risotto looked good. The duck confit was dry and hard to eat. The smoked pork shoulder looked decent. Uneven experiences.

Started off my evening with a cocktail and I am fond of coconut rum, so I chose to order the INDOMEX which has a Mezcal, coconut ? rum, pineapple ? juice, lime, juice, and agave. Can you say Yum I loved it. ? my partner loves spicy. I'm not too fond of it so they ordered the spicy Putera Naga in which has a salsa, tequila, fire, tincture, lychee, dragon fruit, and lime juice. They were very happy with their drink. Just look at the ingredients. Need you say more. Yum Yum.Started dinner off with a SATAY of Tiger Prawns ? . They were colossal, seasoned to perfection and delicious ? !!!Moving onto the main course of our meal I am a huge seafood ? Fan so I ended up ordering the chili, Dungeness crab. The seasoning was amazing. The smell was divine. My taste buds were just absolutely going crazy, and I even had to compose myself over not making a full of myself and wanting to suck down all the and all it was that good. The pineapple salad that came with it I thought was not going to go well with it but I must say it was very complementary to the dish itself. And although I was absolutely stuffed by the appetizer and the dinner, who doesn't have room for dessert. I'm a huge chocolate fan, but I decided to go with the carrot cake and boy am I glad I did the environment the food, the ambience, the service, the drinks it was all just amazing, and that's why I give this place five stars will I come back again absolutely for sure
