Pho Vung Tau Bay
5880 Antelope Rd Ste 200, Sacramento, CA 95842, United States
The restaurant is small at least 10 tables. Self seated. Meun it short with no picture. Our waiter was quick to take our order. He bought our chilly & pickling jalapeños/garlic which it was not great. Jalapeños/garlic was too blend & sweet. Oil chilly wasnt spicy enough or have favor just tasted more like fried garlic in oil.We ordered p1 & p5 plus side of fried calamari. Fried calamari was dried & overcooked, blend & no salt. The first vietnamese restaurant, in 20+ years, serves tarter sauce instead of sweet chilly sauce. Our pho came out quick. Broth was disappointing. It didnt taste like traditional broth. Lack in favor. Needed to add a bunch of condiments to cover the lack of favor. Careful put in your side of veggies. Thai basil had a tiny worm on one of the leaves I just pick it off and put it on the side. Portion of the noodles & meat were perfect. Meats was tender. Tendon was on the middle-tough side. Never had tendon tasted that tough in any vietnamese restaurant I had eaten. This is more on the white vietnamese restaurant than traditional vietnamese restaurants. Lack in favors, overcooked on calamari & undercooked on tendon. Price is right for portion, but it is not traditional enough for me to come back.
Panda Express

At the store 0789, order#143904 in 12/26/2017@3:59pm. Server was Brian. He was probably new at what he was doing so I was patient with him. He didn't give me my receipt and didn't give me back my change and never said hello nor said thank you, but I was patient enough to wait more than 15 minutes because the teriyaki chicken was still being cooked. There were only 2 people helping customers and the line was starting to fill up. The girl who took my order said it'll take 7 minutes for the teriyaki chicken so I paid and waited. As I sat there waiting, this employee suddenly took charge because the lines was getting full of customers. She was probably the supervisor or lead. As I sat there, I noticed how rude and unprofessional she was to the employees and customers. I was getting impatient because the time waiting was going on past 15 minutes. So I approached Brian and asked him how much longer. He didn't get to answer because this woman supervisor interrupted and said “ what's your order, what are you waiting for”? And then Brian told her I was waiting for the teriyaki chicken. She looked for my plate but was no where to be found because she gave it to another customer. Then she told me” well what's your order and did you pay”? I really got upset by this time. I told her, “I already paid, and I didn't get my receipt nor my change back, I paid cash”. Then Brian gave her my receipt but before she could give it back she read the order and proceeded to fill it. And then she was about to place the teriyaki chicken that was sitting in the container only tiny pieces and one large piece stirred it and told me” here's your chicken” and then I told her no not that I don't want that! I want the fresh one. I didn't spend more than 15 minutes for you to give me that leftover! By this time I'm already mad at her for being stupid and rude. And then her mouth went rambling on and being all sarcastic and making me feel like I was the stupid one. She said “ oh happy holidays to you too, nice of you to be a customer” I told her” no, you don't get to be sarcastic and rude to me” and then she kept rolling her eyes and shaking her head like I was stupid. I told her just shut up and give me my order I don't want to hear anymore of your smart mouth. I just want my food and get out of here. She practically threw my food to my face in front of all the customers in line and she caused the commotion not me. I left angrily but walked out of there calmly. The restaurant was at a stand still, you could hear a pin drop. I want you to know that as a regular customer of this location I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and rudeness in my life. That woman was loud, rude, has no customer service skills and don't get me wrong, this is not China! We people here work hard and deserve better treatment because its customers who come back for repeat business and we pay your salaries so get your woman supervisor back in training because you you will lose customers if she continues to behave unprofessionally.

Lumpia Ko - Eats And Boba
7893 Walerga Rd #105, Antelope, CA 95843, United States
Bad food, worse service. My mom insisted I finally come with her yesterday and try mango float drink. We had a large order for our family that consisted of two mango floats, a large order of chicken lumpia, a large order of pork lumpia, Korean steak, and palabok. When I tried my drink I immediately didn't like it. I informed them that it tasted watered down and my mom agreed there didn't seem to be any ice cream in the drink. We asked for a replacement drink, or a possible refund as this was my first time there and I didn't enjoy what I received. The girl at the counter turned to the girl behind her, who then grabbed another girl from the back who brought out a fourth girl that told us the manager said we could not receive a refund or receive a new drink. That didn't seem right. Normally at a restaurant when you order something that isn't to your liking, you can receive a different item, I thought. So I asked if I could speak to the manager. They told me not at this time. Then I asked for the managers name and the girl with the gauges in her ears said she didn't know the managers name. Then another girl came out and said she would have to go look for the managers name who they then said was “Mary.”After asking to speak with a manager, I was told they could replace the drink. During this time we had received our food, which was now sitting at the table. We waited an additional 15 minutes while the girls talked amongst each other, figuring out how to make my new drink which was a strawberry banana smoothie. After waiting about 20 minutes after we had received our food, we just decided to leave. Of course our food was cold on the four minute drive home. The Korean steak was chewy and the rice was overcooked. The palabok was super dry. As if that weren't enough, my mom, dad, husband and myself we up all night with food poisoning. The girls I spoke with said they're names were “Sally” and “Sarah”The drinks were bad. The food was bad. And to top it all off, the service was awful. We will not be returning.

Hotpot Express

[This review is based purely off of the hot pot]Man, me and my girlfriend DESPERATELY wanted to love this place. Ever since HL Hot Pot in South Sac closed (for our money, one of the best Hot Pot places in California), weve been searching for a replacement. We saw the amazing reviews for this one, and the next night we found ourselves here. We drove 35 minutes to eat here...it wasnt exactly worth the trip. With a nice atmosphere and nice service, the overall clunkiness of the experience, lack of decent options, and somewhat small portions take away from what couldve been a great visit. But this place has GREAT potential, and we liked a lot from it -- the broths and the whole self-serve aspect especially. This place has serious potential.Atmosphere: 3.8/5-- Situated in a slightly cramped shopping center, its nestled snugly next to a nail salon with a taco bell right across the way. Not exactly premium digs, but we easily found a parking spot.-- The inside is pretty nice; newly remodeled Im sure. It was shiny, so I like that. It was also clean, which you would think nowadays is a given, but youd be surprised.-- Its pretty small. Like, 6 tables and 1 giant table small.Service: 4/5-- When we got there, there was only 1 visible employee doing everything. He was really nice and helpful, but you could tell this was a little too much on his plate at times.-- When he did help us, you could tell he genuinely wanted you to have a great experience. Huge (+) plus!Basically, theres three tiers of plates you can choose from:Green $2.95 --- Vegetables, noodles, tofu (and chicken )Yellow $3.95 --- Meats, fish balls, etcRed $4.95 ------ Seafood, higher quality meatsPretty simple, right? And color coordination makes everything easier too, which was kind of like their version of a self-checkout line. Nice.Food: 3/5+ + The broths we got (house special and spicy beef) were delicious, and pretty intense. The spicy is pretty spicy. Be warned that these two are very similar. Also, both of them were inherently Thai broths. We werent really aware that this was more of a Thai hotpot place, but the menu suggests that.+ Shiitake mushrooms were part of the green plates, which is saying something because usually theyre not included in hot pot or very expensive.+ Meat was good quality, and the vegetables were serviceable.(-- --) The dipping sauces were....not very good. Two ladies behind us seemed to enjoy, but neither of us did. One was some weird Asian take on thousand islands, and it just seems totally mismatched with hotpot. The other was some overly spicy lime/chile sauce. Thats it.(--) Not a huge selection on veggies at all, I was disappointed. Basic cabbage, bok choy, broccoli, cucumbers...and thats kind of it. Was looking for watercress, spinach, etc.(--) The set up at the table was just...clunky. Something just kind of seemed off.-- Some things that we liked: Rice noodles (gave us so much more than the udon noodles plate), shiitake(!), lobster balls, and enoki.-- The seafood medley (frozen assorted seafood combination) was pretty gross, and it was $5.-- The plates that were available to us looked nothing like the plates from when this plate opened, so we were upset about that. Smaller portions and less options :(Price: 3.5/5-- The prices are a little steep than the aforementioned HL Hot Pot (R.I.P.), but we got a check of $31 for 2, which we could definitely slim down next time.-- Drinks are pretty expensive, with no refills for drinks. Thai tea for $3.50? Yikes.-- The meats are pretty expensive here for the small portions, which wouldve been okay, but there were little vegetable options.TIPS:-- Tell him the broth (or two for an extra $3) you want right when you sit down. That way you can just get up and choose your food!-- Rice noodle value is better than udon noodle value-- Stay away from the medley, please. This place could be great, but its not yet. I dont think well make the drive up here unless it improves, but I feel like it will in time.
Antelope Square

A little bit of everything. Try the Asian Pacific Ginger Restaurant, we give it a 5. We visited the restaurant Saturday 12:30. Service was quick, we were the first, before a group of 5 couples can in. Must be regulars. We both made gasps on tasting our lunch special. So delicious, did not taste like leftovers from restaurants in San Diego County California. Thats where we both lived. Clean place, dining furniture was sturdy and appealing. I plan on going once or twice a month. If you like Asian Pacific food, try it. ?
Sammys Restaurant Bar
6508 Antelope Rd, Citrus Heights, CA 95621, United States
My wife and I chose a nearby place on Google at random to have brunch at with a friend. I know the area and could not figure out where this restaurant might be hiding. When we arrived, I realized that it was part of Stones casino. I was admittedly hesitant at first, but we gave it a shot. Once we opened the door, we were all pleasantly surprised. Sammies is very spacious with a very classy and modern feel. The decor it very inviting and pleasing to look at. The art and colors are beautiful. High ceilings and colored glass windows create a very enchanting ambiance. Very calm and quiet, there is a bar in the center with TVs on the walls. Somehow, the TVs are not at all distracting or intrusive. The dining room was clean and the staff seemed happy and helpful. It was open seating so we chose a spot by the window. The menu had nice options across a few catagories without being overwhelming. There was a bit of sticker shock though for sure. We ordered the duck tacos to start. I had the salt and pepper shrimp, my wife had the breakfast croissant sandwich, my daughter had lemon blueberry pancakes and my friend had the make your own omlette, choosing an all meat mixture. When the food arrived, we were all floored. The duck tacos came first. A beautiful display of mini tacos garnished with cream and cilantro. They were incredible and worth the trip all by themselves. Crispy, flavorful, elevated and well designed. There is absolutely nothing I would have changed about them. You have to try these. Each of our entrees were just as noteworthy. The shrimp dish was definitely my favorite. A symphonic blend of flavors that beats any salt and pepper Chinese dish I have had anywhere. I will be dreaming of this for months to come. The croissant was large and crafted with care. Grilled tomatoes, flaky pastry, savory sausage. It hit the mark better than we could have imagined. The pancakes were yet another love letter to building flavors. The lemon pancakes were just the right amount of tartness and flavor to compliment the blueberries in a way that made us all ask why this wasnt available everywhere. Finally, my friends omlette kept the train running with wonderful execution and on the mark flavors. Once all was said and done, we agreed that the price was right and the food was a few steps above anything in the area. If they transported themselves to a trendier area of Sacramento, their food would be welcomed with open arms. Thank you Sammies. It is good to know that we have a foodie diamond right in the neighborhood! We will be back soon.
M & M Ranch House
645 Antelope Blvd #1, Red Bluff, CA 96080, United States
Decent food, poor service. Very rude ppl. I stopped the waitress to tell her my wifes eggs are under done. She tells me she ordered them over easy so thats why the whites are runny. No, whites are not supposed to be raw for over easy, this is all to common of thing. But her response is, thats how we do it here.Guess what hun, your doing it wrong. Then i sent back my toast because it tasted moldy. My wife tasted it and spit it out.So as I pay for my familys meal, I notice the side toast is still on the ticket. I ask the hostess to remove the toast because I sent it back, (literally 2 bites taken from it). She kinda looks at me weird and says she has to ask my waitress cuz she didnt serve me. Ahh, you got me. The nerdy tattood guy is definatly trying to get over on you for $1.99. You have foiled my nefarious plot. Seriously, Ive been profiled plenty of times because Im almost completely covered in tattoos to know whats up.So the waitress comes over and tells me that my toast was fine, and that it was from the same bag as my wifes. That mat be true that it came from the same bag, but I dont want to pay for something that tastes like a dog turd dipped in cool ranch. She makes me pay for the toast I sent back and DIDNT eat.All in all, Ill say this... Dont deal with these ppl. They are rude, ignorant, and pushy. The establishment is dark, dirty, and kinda worn down. My meal was good, (ranch breakfast burrito), my wifes meal was ok except the eggs being raw (steak and eggs) and my mom ordered biscuits and gravy but told me it was ok.So halfway decent food with very, Very poor service.I will never eat here again, and am now going to go out of my way to warn ppl to not patron here. Wish I got the name of our server to put on here. But between having to evacuate because of the Carr fire and the lack of sleep, I forgot to ask.
Cajun & Sushi House
2921 Elverta Rd, Antelope, CA 95843, United States
Food is below par in my opinion. Everyone in Antelope is giving this place a decent rating when the food is an 1 out of 5. The rating is a reflection of how many restaurants there is an Antelope. The service is friendly for sure but the food IS NOT GOOD! and over priced. Asian Cajun on baseline in Roseville serves better boiling crab style foods.
