I understand businesses are struggling during these trying times and owners are trying to make things stretch, but to call your customer (who ordered delivery through an app) and blame them for a misunderstanding is beyond me. If I pay $100 for 5 rolls, Im expecting decent portions and quality. I recieved neither. Fish was not fresh; definitely previously frozen. Afterwards, you tell me that youre going to come to my house and take the food back? You think after an hour and half later that I wouldnt eat the food I just ordered? Then you try to guilt trip me by saying youre going to donate it to the homeless? Were in pandemic, are you really going to put the homeless at risk? I understand youre frustrated, but get your facts straight before you take your aggression out on the customer because we can make or break your business. This is exactly why your business has a bad review on here. Please educate yourself in etiquacy as your interaction goes far beyond a meal. I hope you read this. I know you have my address. Do not show up at my house.

If I could give this place a zero I gladly would! Today I came in with my son who is taking a road trip and decided to stop by and pick up some food for the way. We're in the establishment and as I'm ordering I get asked if I have cash I said no and finish ordering because we were on a timeframe. I have my son get a fountain drink as I'm about to pay, I run my card and it gets timed out and they proceeded to explain that their system on all the stores is giving them issues with their credit card system which is a problem because I didn't have cash at the moment. They could have put a sign at the door since they already knew about this issue, then I noticed they did charge my card but apparently it did not finalize the payment so it won't go they now I have to wait to make sure it doesn't go through. The fact that that spot always has high traffic, homeless people with children begging for food and their lack of management competence is why they have lost my business and for making my 7 year old son upset on my Bday!

Alright! Another Honest Food Review. For those who dont know already, this is a Hmong restaurant that sells hmong food.Lets start with the drink. We ordered the Nam Vam, and my wife loved it, and of course, my kids loved it as well. Always a kid fan favorite with the honey/ syrup and tapioca like noodles. The catfish with sticky rice was delicious as well, soft and very flavorful with lots of aromas coming from all the greens that it was cooked with, also the spiciness is perfect!Sticky rice and Hmong sausage are good as well. The only thing I would change or complain about would be the pepper sauce that it comes with. It is spicy but doesnt compliment the sausage when eating it all together, Id rather just get the sweet sauce instead.Steam rolls were delicious. Everything about them were perfect to me, from the taste to the consistency of the roll itself to how much meat is supposed to be in it was very well balanced. Also, a small touch is how they were made. Instead of being folded like most, these were rolled, and that made a difference to me.Eggrolls were something else. The first thing that you will notice is the glistening shine that the eggrolls have when you see the eggroll. Also, the smell will remind you of churros, so the first bite and smell will throw you off thinking you are eating a churro. Another thing would be the crispness that the eggroll had was perfect! When you take your first bite, you will notice that its crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, like how it should be. Most eggrolls have a crunch crunch when you eat them, but these were perfect and only had 1 crunch and then softness. It was perfect, and the sauce was perfect with the sweet sauce.Overall, its a great place with even outdoor dining, I would come back for sure to eat here, and they also cater food! So for sure, we will be back!
Bingo Market

I haven’t been here in probably 12 or 13 years and I finally made a return to this store last week. A lot has changed at this store from the meat products and the produce section having all changed significantly over the years. No more security guard at the door nor is there a Tom’s Potato chip rack at the front. Prices are pretty competitive with other stores in the area but the selections on produce are pretty limited compared to before. Not much meat is sold there and there’s a bit more selection of frozen foods compared to before but still very small. Overall it seems to be a place to grab something really quick or for a small grocery list. Cashier is sorta friendly but then again how many Asian stores or restaurants do you find where the cashier is so friendly like when you go to Dutch Bros or Chic-Fil-A.

Really good optiona for vegetarians. Food is exactly like the name of the restaurant where you can have Indian/ other Asian style foods in a western style that is not too heavy but healthy and tasty. The owner is also very helpful in you making the right choice for you since there are so many good options....
Blue Sky Caf
1625 El Camino Real #9, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
Blue Sky Cafe (BSC) is an authentic Cantonese restaurant at its best. It is in an worn-down strip mall, barely a sign. As a matter of fact, Ive lived in San Carlos 6 years and never noticed this spot.Commensurate to the exterior, the interior is bare bones. There are tables and chairs. Just basic utensils. In many ways, it feels a bit sketchy as well. The servers barely speak English and you hear the cacophony of Cantonese from the busy kitchen while the entire restaurant is jam packed with a mountain of pick up delivery meals waiting on the side.Everything is forgiven and then some when the food arrives. Eating at BSC is somewhat like walking in a field of treasure or an Easter egg hunt. The menu does not describe anything, and Im sure theres some Chinese name for it, so you sort of take a bet ordering. But guess what. Whatever you order, will be phenomenal. This is by far one of the best Cantonese comfort food in the Bay Area. There is nothing more to say here. The food is authentic and amazing. And when the food arrives, you sort of feel what else should or could I hve ordered. It is clear that there is more love than one can imagine imbued into every dish that comes out, hot and fresh, from the kitchen. And one can also tell that they are hitting the limits of scale preserving the quality and taste while keep prices super low. I truly commend the owner for keeping BSC the way it is, not worrying about niceties or garnish and staying focused on putting a spoonful of delight in every bite.
Spoon & Fork
1480 El Camino Real, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
My favorite Thai restaurant in the area and its just gotten better! Authentic food and really nice service. The employees really go out of their way to be helpful. Some of the dishes can be made not spicy, but not all, so check with the restaurant if thats a concern for you. Our go-tos are pork larb (not spicy), pad see ew, green curry, tom yum soup, woonsen pad thai. The egg rolls are really yummy too and are totally worth the price...!The outdoor space has space heaters that work really really well! We were able to have a large party (4 adults and 8 kids!) seated outside despite it being a little windy and cold, and it worked great. It looks like a fast casual spot but they now offer dine-in service with nice looking tableware so its much nicer than one would expect of the venue, and its quite cozy inside especially with its holiday decorations!
La Mexicana Bakery & Taqueria

Google this place up and wasnt disappointed. It was a bit intimidating being Asian and walking into a mini restaurant full of Mexicans but so worth it. Tacos were bomb but rice and bean was just OK. Will definitely try something different on the menu next time.
Fresno Chaffee Zoo
894 W Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93728, United States
This zoo is soooo fun!!! $20/per non-Fresno resident adult. It's not as big as the better known ones (LA, SD, SF, OAK), but I thought it was an excellent value for the money still for all the hours you can spend in here + their unique exhibits! You can pay for parking by using an app or using a machine they have by the lot.?One big criticism in case the zoo sees this before I ramble positively: these are the most boring animal information cards ever! I recommend getting an intern do so some serious googling for real fun facts about each animal. I was trying to take notes but it was hard cause I didn't want to write any of it down lol! Some just have the name and picture of the animal and that's it…????? Their African Sahara/watering hole exhibit was the coolest. A bunch of cool animals all together!! And there's a big outdoor cafeteria area too so you could enjoy the view while resting if you want. Their rhino is like a cute puppy, loves playing with huge branches and prancing around :) there are 2 ostriches that like following each other around. A lonely wildebeest but a bunch of antelopes. Would be cool to see zebras. There are 3 elephants, and I think one of them is an African buck that is one of the largest in NA at 13,000 pounds! I think I read a sign for an upcoming similar multi-species spot for malaysia(?).? I've never been so close to a lion before! It got up and I got to see it spray pee out the fence lol. It had all this space but chose to be close to the fence with people, the lioness was more shy.? There was a tiger, but it looked really skinny. It did lots of tricks for the trainer but we thought it barely got any treats. When they finished, it looked pretty upset. That one was kind of depressing, but I'm sure the zoo has its reasons.?? The monkeys are great fun to look at, especially the small black siamangs. There were two moms each with a baby! Super cute. The orangutans nearby were wrapping themselves with rugs from the cold. The other moneys like the lemurs and colobus were huddled at the heat lamps. Kind of sad, maybe more lamps please!??The second cool exhibit was the Australian one! Wow! You can walk through this path with the animals barely separated by a wood railing they could easily pass if they want. I feel like… this one really needs to be supervised well or restricted to a certain age cause I can see it going poorly with bad attendees lol but it was truly the coolest. The emu loved attention. There are a few small roos and other animals. I just love these fun spots where safe animals have more space altogether.???? There was a smaller aviary and a larger rainforest aviary. They were both very nice but mostly empty due to the winter weather. Rainforest one in particular is mostly blocked off for many routes. Still excellent.?There is a penny machine by the flamingos for fellow collectors!Other honorable mentions, 2 cheetahs, warthogs, giraffes (pay $5 extra at ticket window), seals. PLUS, I was really impressed with their little display statues. You know these zoos and their weird light display things, I felt like the ones here were not eyesores. They looked less transparent and well designed.
Sushi Kuu
1001 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
The food is okay, just normal quality Japanese food you can get in the bay area. But Im surprised that the owner/waitress does not like Asian customer. Shes extremely nice to other white customers in the room, but ice-cold or somewhat even rude to us since the minute we walk into the restaurant. Not much service for our table either. She spend most of her time happily chatting with the white family next to us. And yes, she, herself is Asian.
