Kabuki Japanese Restaurant

I dont know how to tell you this, but........Ive got crabs! Ive got crabs! And, its all good :)BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY$15 credt on the Red Mask card.By crabs, I meant the the softshell crab appetizer.Crunchy, decadent crab. Couldve sworn there was more crab last year. Nevertheless, yummy & delightful. A bit on the oily side, though.Yellowtail roll.Simple but effective. Sweet, clean-tasting yellowtail in a roll. All those omega-3s turn me on. Smear a lil wasabi on it, along with a soysauce dip - its a beautiful thing.I like how soy sauce is now in these waste reducing bottles. Waste not, want not.Service was good & the ball games were on the TVs. Music was random as I heard everything from KrissKross to Taylor Swift.Parking can be hard to come by, so you may have to walk a bit.Recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
Yoshio Sushi
10889 San Pablo Ave, El Cerrito, CA 94530, United States
When we arrived the waitress asked us if sitting at the bar would be okay; it was just me and my BF so we said yes. Little did we know that meant we wouldnt be checked on, not once, by the waitress nor sushi chefs. We ordered a Sprite, some tea, and chicken teriyaki bento boxes: his with a California roll, & mine with tuna nigiri. The miso soup came out first. Okay, (1) in my experience... miso soup does not have mushrooms, (2) the fish flakes were still in the broth and they were too dark of a brown--meaning the fish broth was overcooked, and (3) they used soft tofu. Overall, I didnt like it.Then his Sprite was delivered with a cup of water... no tea. We waited for 15 minutes, no one came by to check on us. When our bento boxes arrived, we were unpleasantly surprised to get lunch sized portions with dinner prices. The chicken had cartilage, the spring salad didnt have a miso dressing, the rice was overcooked to the point of being mush. My tuna nigiri was warm and had a weird after taste; it also smelled fishy and was chewy. The orange slice was the equivalent of one half of one slice... and it was dry.The ginger slices were fresh, the teriyaki flavor was a nice balance of sweet and savory, and the California roll was good. But I had yet to get my tea. My BF had to grab our waitresss attention to remind her for my tea. Now, I realize that you cant control the kind of patrons you get, but the entire time we were there, one family was obnoxiously loud... much more than the rest of the full restaurant combined. Meanwhile, the one Asian customer sitting literally one seat right of me was given a hot towel to clean her hands; no one else, not one other customer, was given this courtesy. And she was checked on regularly.I eventually got my tea and it was extremely hot but lacked deep flavor. The chopsticks were cheap and had splinters, even after I discreetly rubbed them under the counter. Its sad indeed when the highlight of your meal is the mint they give you with the check.By no means is this place anywhere near comparable to Manpuku. For the price that youre paying, the food is not worth it; they charge special rolls far too expensive but they cook their rice to mush.
Monora Thai Cerritos
11448 South St, Cerritos, CA 90703, United States
It doesnt matter if you win or lose....as long as you THAI!Ive been receiving Monoras advertisements in the mail for awhile now and finally decided to order some food today. I went with the January special of Chicken Pad Thai w/ Chicken Sate along with your choice of soup or salad, 2 egg rolls & 2 wontons. Called ahead for p/u in 10-15 minutes. The restaurant was visually appealing. Each table had a candle as a centerpiece & various artwork & sculptures adorned the walls. Definitely didnt miss the dragon situated between the tables against the wall. Very nice.Coming home, I dug into my order. The soup was sufficient. It consisted of broccoli, chicken, cabbage, carrots & 1 shrimp. It seemed like hot water was poured on these ingredients and labelled soup. The egg rolls & wontons were good. Crunchy & spicy thanks to the sweet chili sauce. The pad thai was very good, too. It wasnt too sour so its perfect for those that dont prefer strong flavors. The 4 chicken sate were tasty, especially when smothered in the delectable peanut sauce. Everything for $7.95. None too shabby, my dear Watson. My first time here and I consider Monora a winner. The restaurant is very close by & the specials will keep sucking you in, no matter how much you fight them. For once, forego your local drive-thru & pump n munch and head to Monora for some tasty Thai food.Excelsior.NOMNOMNOM

Panda Express

The portions are tiny! The server was so stingy. I paid for a large entree and only got 4 tea spoons of rice. Ended up spending a lot, could’ve had a better deal at a formal Asian restaurant.
Vinh Loi Tofu - 100 Vegan Food - Cerritos
11818 South St #101, Cerritos, CA 90703, United States
First time here and we absolutely LOVED it. The atmosphere and food were amazing. The owner was more than hospitable; he made my family and I feel like weve been going there for years. We started off with the fried dumplings and their Sexy Buns. Fried dumplings were crispy but not oily or too fatty. They were tasty. The sexy buns were new to me so I didnt know what to expect but loved them. It was like Korean taco meat on a hot dog bun. The fresh onion and cilantro just made it taste that much better. These are a must! For our entrees, my nephew had the #5 ramen soup. The vegan ham and ramen were phenomenal. If youve had fried spam, it was similar to it but better. My sister had the orange chicken fried rice and although it was just fried rice, you couldnt even notice you werent eating real orange chicken. Crispy and tender with a orange zesty flavor. My niece and I had the #1 Kevin soup and that lemongrass broth was like nothing Ive ever had before. I added their shrimp to mine and it just added another layer of flavor. I finished it ALL! Best vegan soup Ive had. However, the #2 curry soup that my other niece had was my favorite. The depth of flavors was just unbelievable. That will be my next soup. For dessert, we had the Ube pudding and carrot cake. The pudding was a first for me and I loved it. If you like sweets like me, then youll love it. The carrot cake was supposed to be a treat for tomorrow but barely made it home. It was mouthwatering, sweet, and moist. Ill for sure come back again for the food, but I have to say that the authentic, welcoming environment is what sold me. Thank you again for such a memorable experience!
Panda Express
11449 South St, Cerritos, CA 90703, United States
Panda anda me! Anda you, too! Even you, bro! When I want something hot, fast & fresh, I head to Spearmint Rhino. Oops, uh, er, sorry, Freudian slip. What I meant to say was I head to Panda Express.Broccoli beef, green bean chicken, eggplant tofu & Beijing beef - those are the usual suspects for me. I whip out my receipt w/ the code, entitling me to a free entree to go along with my 2-item combo w/ fried rice and its chowtime.I was a little perturbed when Panda Express replaced fried white rice w/ fried brown rice awhile ago, but Im glad the big muckamucks saw the error of their ways and brought back the OG fried rice. Yeah, brown rice has fiber, but it also has phytins, which are antinutrients. Phytins block the absorbtion of nutrients in the GI tract, causing leaky gut syndrome. This Panda Express location has always been clean & and very convenient for me, due to its close proximity. The staff during my latest visit were especially friendly from start to finish. They even obliged me when I ask for more rice and extra fortune cookies. Because having one fortune just isnt enough ;pThe line usually goes by quick & Im in n out in no time. Tables & stool seating for those looking to dine in. Parking is located at the Cerritos Promenade, which can be hard to come by. I suggest parking near Island Pacific to find a spot.Located very closeby, there is another Panda Express across the street in the Los Cerritos Center. But, for some reason, the food doesnt taste the same. When I want Panda, I go here. Not a date spot, not a hoity toity white tablecloth restaurant, Panda Express is one of my favorite places to go for a quick meal that I dont feel bad about eating. The World Wildlife Fund would approve ;pRecommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
Yasai

0n 2023-02-05Its still an amazing store. Also, the stores policy is to stay ahead of the times. The level of satisfaction is high. This is a highly recommended restaurant if you are in the area.---Even now, it is a Tremendous Shop just like Before. Then their Restaurant Policy is Ahead of Trend. You get Satisfaction on High Percentages. When you are around this Area, I really Recommend this Small Restaurant. ^^On 08/04/2022This Restaurant is very Good for Taste and Quantity. My Order was for TO-GO so I didnt note its Volume!! I ordered Beef Teriyaki Plate. When I opened a Box at Home, I was very Surprised because there was a very BIG QUANTITY TWO KIND of SALADS!! And also, they prepared a VEGGIE SKEWER!! Then I should write that they SERVE COLD, CRISPY, & FRESH SALAD!!About Beef Teriyaki, I ordered Separated Teriyaki Sauce because I would eat Later. Even without Sauce, Beef was Marinated very Well so Meat has Taste. I hope A LITTLE MORE JUICY it was the PERFECT!! However, I am really satisfied with this Restaurant, Yasai. It means Vegetables in Japanese. I can find very a Nice Restaurant from Google Maps Information!!---Surprised ?!! ️ Its so good!! It was a shop that felt like ️. The dish was satisfying in both taste and quantity.
New Peking Restaurant Cerritos

Yup, this is Chinese food, great value! I think the food would have tasted 2x better if I ate at the restaurant if it was crispy.Chicken chow mein, orange chicken, salt and pepper pork, small order of hot and sour soup. Total ended up at $46, to go order.Chow mein was just ok, I thought the noodles were a little too soft. Weird choice of zucchini and broccoli in it.Orange chicken was really good though! If Panda Express is your bench mark, Id say it tastes more like General Tsos chicken over orange chicken. Just a hint of tangy, flavored well, but that was exactly what I wanted.Salt and pepper pork was great! The pork was really tender and seasoned well. The small wasnt a small at all! Its a full size deli container of soup. Theres enough in there to have 4 rice bowls of soup. I think this came with fried noodle bits to throw in there. I think it was the chow mein noodles, I really liked this! Lightly sour, and mild. But it sure hit the spot.We also got a complimentary box of white rice and 4 fortune cookies.Again, value is all there. It was probably a meal for 5-6 with all thats there. I was told 30 minutes on the phone to pick up... It was probably much sooner than that and I missed the window of crispiness. Next time I want Chinese American food, Ill be coming back!Parking was easy, theres a lot thats pretty empty. I got there at 7pm on a Wednesday night and there was 1 table occupied (probably to-go is more popular?)
Great Khans Mongolian Grill Cerritos
131 Los Cerritos Center, Cerritos, CA 90703, United States
Today, I was shopping at the mall with my mom and had to hit up the food court for lunch. Of course, we walked around the food court to grub on all the free samples - Steak Escape, Ruby Thai (not to mention Yogurtland, Auntie Ems - but I digress). We settled upon Great Khans because weve never ordered from there before. Let me tell you, you shouldve seen my food bowl. It was like the leaning tower of Pisa as I stuffed it to the gills with frozen turkey, onions, green onions, carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic, various sauces and anything else I can cram into it. Slices were flopping all over as I tried to bury more & more items into my bowl. The cook took the bowl from me and then placed it on top of chow mein, to make it even bigger! After that, cooking took a few minutes. It was quite a bit of food, needless to say. We found it very tasty & we lovingly finished the whole container, while cooling off in the mall. It was great. I will dine hear again sooner than later.Highly recommend!NOMNOMOMNOM
