Sweety Hut Thai Restaurants
1215 S Glendora Ave, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
Parking:The restaurant is conveniently located inside a plaza with 24 parking spots available (2 parking spots are reserved for the liquor store. It has green paint on the curb that says 5 min parking and 1 wheelchair accessible blue parking). However, even if the parking lot is full, there is street parking available on S Glendora Ave right next to it.Service:Upon entering Sweety Hut Thai, we were warmly greeted by Ken, our server for the night. Ken provided exceptional customer service throughout our dining experience, making us feel welcomed and attending to our needs. His friendly service and attentiveness added to the overall positive dining experience.Atmosphere:The place is easily identifiable within the plaza, thanks to the big Thai Restaurant sign on the building. The interior was clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant ambiance for diners. The restaurant was semi-empty, which may have been due to the drizzly weather or the late hour.Food & Pricing:Sweety Hut Thai offers a wide selection of Thai dishes to choose from. We ordered the Pad Thai combo, which came with fried wonton, salad, fried rice, and a complimentary veggie soup (only for dine-in) priced at $12.45. The Tom Yum soup, customizable in spice level (Mild/Medium/Hot/Extra Hot), also priced at $11.95, was particularly delicious. Additionally, we enjoyed the Pad See Ew with chicken for $11.95. Its worth noting that a 15% service charge applies for groups of 6 or more. Overall, the food was above average and budget-friendly priced.Overall:Sweety Hut Thai is a solid choice if youre craving Thai food. The combination of excellent service (Ken is the man!), budget-friendly pricing, and tasty dishes make it a worthwhile dining experience. This places closes at 10pm so whether youre a late-night eater or looking for a place to satisfy your Thai food cravings, this restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and a menu with plenty of options to choose from.Attached are pictures of the outside building and inside. I have also attached the menu which has a lot of options to choose from as well as the food we ordered.Date and Time of Visit: June 2023 on a Sunday at 8:30 PM.
Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
1249 S Lone Hill Ave, Glendora, CA 91740, United States
My daughter went to pick this up for us. I had a BOGO for an entrée, salad or noodles. She got the chicken Thai coconut curry and I got the shrimp Thai coconut curry. We loved it. I was not sure about going there. We eat at tradition places in Monterey Park and Thai Town in Los Angeles, but this was as good. I have only had better in Thailand. For a quick serve restaurant in California, with a variety of Asian flavors, try this out. Not sure about other locations, but Glendora was great

I will start by saying I have never done a review before, ever. Positive or negative but I had such a bad experience I felt the need to share. We got a $10 off coupon in the mail and we were excited to use it. The restaurant isn't super close to our home so I had my husband pick it up after work. I told him anything sushi. My husband walks in and asks if they have sushi. The guy says yes and hands him a sushi menu. My husband then says I'm ready to order and the guys says “oh the sushi guy isn't here. It's going to be 10-15 minutes until he's back but that should be okay right?” By husband then says he'll just order something else. He orders the Kung Pao scallops for me and the deal of the day for himself, honey chicken. The guy says they don't have enough scallops but they can use half shrimp. He says that's fine. He asks if it comes with rice and the guys says no. My husband gets home and for $20 (which should have been $30 but we had the coupon) we got two entrees that were maybe the container size of a chipotle bowl. No sides, no rice, no noodles. Just the entree. The food was nothing special. Wasn't bad but wasn't something I'd order again. Small portions and quite expensive.
Sushi Ni
201 N Glendora Ave, Glendora, CA 91741, United States
I would like to preface that I used to love this restaurant. It was my favorite sushi restaurant in the area and I was pretty loyal to it. Mind you, there are a ton of sushi restaurants in the area. That being said, I had the worst experience at the restaurant, and everyones reaction at the restaurant made me never want to come back.We had a fairly decent meal and we were just finishing up. Alex was our server at the time, and just as we finished our meal and were finishing up our wine, he walked over to us and asked us to leave. Apparently they had a reservation and needed the table, even though he sat us at the table to begin with and the party wasnt there. He didnt ask us if we could move, rather, he said I hate to ask you to leave, but. His tone was incredibly rude, and I was immediately off put. Everyone was listening to him, and we felt like we were rushed, which was very embarrassing. He didnt apologize, and we left. One member from our party went back to discuss, and both Alex and another server started arguing. The situation was made worse moments later. We got home, and called the restaurant asking to speak to a manager (his name was James). The manager immediately said now that Ive heard both sides of the story and proceeded to brush us off. He said he would talk to him, but his tone was very accusatory. To reiterate, we had been going to this restaurant since it first opened. However, if they wish to treat their customers like this, I would say avoid this restaurant at all costs. The sushi is expensive and alright, but nothing die over. There are far better sushi restaurants in the area with far better service and mangers.Furthermore, although this incident happened, the staff did not reach out at all the help correct the situation. In fact, they went online and challenged us and said that everything we said was false. Just to be clear, we did not just have one sip of wine to finish. And even if we did, it was incredibly rude to ask us to move.Again, stay away from this restaurant at all costs. It is overpriced with some of the worst service in the area.
WaBa Grill

Im giving it 3 Stars because the food is good for being a franchise restaurant, but its getting a little old that they keep forgetting to put my kids veggies in their teriyaki bowls! I get home and my 4 yr old is upset that I didnt check the food before I left the restaurant. Only bummer when you take it to go! I just dont have the time or the energy to call and complain when you have a newborn at home. Please fix this problem and double check orders please!
Golden Dragon Chinese
1754 S Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740, United States
This Chinese restaurant offers excellent food that keeps us coming back for more. Each dish is flavorful and cooked to perfection, making it a top choice for Chinese cuisine in the area. However, the restaurants appearance leaves something to be desired. While the establishment is clean, the old and worn carpet gives an impression of dirtiness and outdatedness. A remodel would do wonders for the ambiance, aligning the decor with the quality of the food.Despite the need for an aesthetic update, the fantastic food makes this restaurant worth a visit. If you can overlook the dated decor, you're in for a treat with some of the best Chinese dishes around.

70s Saga Ramen & Curry
204 S Glendora Ave, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
It was late night, I was dying for some Japanese curry and sushi.Found this place online and I ordered to go for this places katsu curry and also rainbow roll. Their sushi rice are actually just regular rice, not seasoned which is kind of disappointing for a sushi place since it diminishes the flavor. The fishes they used in the roll are not the freshest fish, or the better area of the fish, as the fish tasted a bit off. I can see why this place didnt really collect the best review.Their curry was not bad, however the rice portion seem like it was more than the curry and meat for the price.Would order to go again for curry as there isnt many places that make curry now. However wont ever come back here for sushi to go since their rice is so bland and unflavored.

Ten Shabu
1015 S Glendora Ave, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
Great Plates customer. Unfortunately this restaurant didnt follow the rules to provide restaurant quality meals to seniors during the pandemic. They got paid $66 for 3 meals per day per person on their provider list. The food delivered wasnt their restaurant food. They subbed it out to a 3rd party. I requested less meals to 2 per day. They said that wasnt possible. Other counties provided that option and adjusted their fee to $44/day. I requested better food. Items from their menu and they laughed about it. I complained to the person in charge. Nothing changed. The food is nothing I would be willing to pay $22 a plate to eat or order off a menu. They have ribs on the menu I would love to try or noodles or many other things, but unfortunately they did not serve their restaurant food. If what I received is what this restaurant serves I would never be a customer after the program ends on June 30th. Its too bad, if it was good, I would have been a customer bringing lots of friends to eat there after the program ended, but I cannot recommend this place or its food based on the garbage they fed to me. Lots of it ended up in the trash can because I cannot eat three meals daily or I just couldnt stomach it.Typical breakfast: Fake bacon, greasy omelets, untoasted English muffin sandwiches, high gluten oatmeal with two small bites of cantaloupe.Lunches and dinners are unidentifiable mixtures of rice or quinoa with strange dry chicken or chewy meat. My dogs eat the meat. I get some maybe corn or black beans, or potatoes or chicken smothered in tumeric sauce. There is one item I think is decent but they only give a small bowl of that...it looks like whipped sweet potatoes. Thats all in the meal but its never enough given. It tastes good and I can eat it without gagging. This plate is one of the few thats filled to the top of the bowl. White rice on the bottom, canned corn and black beans over it with a few pieces of chicken. This one is edible but nothing I would be hunting for off their menu.I finally got my drinks sorted out. I ended up donating cases of orange juice to food banks. It was like pulling teeth to get the ice tea promised or other low calorie drink and decent sized water instead. That part got better yay! This is a very honest review about what this restaurant did with FEMAs money. Im sure Im speaking out for older seniors who cannot speak for themselves. This program was a success in other counties throughout Southern CA. I checked the reviews and saw the meals those people received and frankly I was so jealous they got real restaurant style meals directly from their provider, not some other people who cant even cook.
