Wholly Bowls & Rolls
1247 S Main St, Lakeport, CA 95453, United States
Very disappointed. I called in an order, they gave me a 15min pickup time and a price of 3x the online prices.... Took me 20mins to get there and the guy at the counter didnt even start my order and was confused when I gave him my orders name. He said he hadnt started it yet and it would be 15mins. He was talking to a friend when we walked in and I can only assume that is what he was doing the entire time I was driving over there from Lucerne. So we cancelled the order so he could finish his conversation.

Reds At The Skyroom

We have been to Reds many times and it was always pretty good. This last trip had us very upset. Especially since the manager couldnt even be bothered to come talk to us. First off, we were celebrating our 25th anniversary and saved to buy a bottle of Dom. Sadly, they charged us $10 corkage fee to open it (no problem there) just to pour it in a water glass (huge problem here)! Kid you not.... a water glass! UGH. Second, we ordered the firecracker shrimp. They are not the same! These were very tiny bay shrimp with layers and layers of batter with no sauce. Not good at all yet no one asked why we didnt eat them as they cleared the plate off the table. We tried the corn salad- advertised as a roasted corn with .... the fourth item listed was cabbage. Expecting to get a yummy corn salad- nope! Its a cabbage salad with very little corn. I dont even like cabbage, so again - another dish we didnt eat. Asked then to take this one off the bill as it was listed incorrectly but were told we could have a free dessert instead. Ok?! Sushi was a fun change. Not the best but was good. Overpriced for sure. Hubby got the steak and didnt realize it came with gorgonzola- oh no! He cannot eat gorgonzola, so we had to reorder/ We had to pay for two steak dinners and only ate one. Again, the restaurant did not care!Over $200 later, we walked out very frustrated and let down. Not one person cared about our experience. The manager couldnt even be bothered to come talk to us- isnt that the entire reason of having a manager?! Great weather sitting outside and great company is the only thing that made our 25th anniversary celebratory dinner worth it.I guess if you fly in it would be a fun experience, but as a local we now will cross this place off our list.
Asian Dragon Chinese
851 S Main St, Lakeport, CA 95453, United States
The service is friendly and quick, but best of all is the fresh delicious food. Its obvious they fresh cut their veggies, which I think is important in Asian food, and I was delighted to find that here after a bad experience with canned veggies at a different restaurant near by. I like to get my moneys worth and be treated respectfully. Both of these things are prevelaint at Asian Dragon.

Fresh ingredients, good service! Plenty of seating. Each dish made to order. Never had an off dish, and Ive tried many. Egg Foo Young even passed muster with my asian friend. I dont eat at the other Chinese restaurants in town anymore.
Skylark Shores Resort Lakeport
1120 N Main St, Lakeport, CA 95453, United States
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Skylark Shores Resort, and my experience was outstanding from start to finish. When I made my reservation, Megan answered the phone. She was extremely friendly and helpful, setting a positive tone for my stay.Due to a late incoming flight, I was going to arrive around 1 am. I called the hotel to inform them of my late arrival, and they reassured me that it wouldnt be an issue and to just ring the bell upon arrival. True to their word, when I arrived, Ron checked me in. He was very friendly and welcoming, making the late-night check-in process smooth and stress-free.The next day, I came back from the store and saw Ron again. He greeted me with a smile, which added a personal touch to my stay. The room I stayed in was clean and well-maintained, with a stunning view of the lake. It was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a restful stay. The housekeepers were very nice and promptly swapped my towels upon request. The property itself was well-kept, and it was clear that the staff took pride in maintaining a high standard.During my stay, I spoke with a few other guests who shared that they have been staying at the Skylark Shores Resort every year for multiple years, which speaks volumes about the quality and consistency of this hotel.Overall, my stay at the Skylark Shores Resort was delightful. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly, well-maintained, and peaceful place to stay. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Only Asian Restaurant in Lake County that has inside dining ?. They raised the prices and at the same time dropped the soup as part of the lunch special...very disappointed and will probably not come back just like the buffet ?.Buffets open all over the state except here.Food quality is consistent and service friendly...that being said I dont get the lunch ( no soup)and stay with the fun noodle.County should be Styrofoam free. Asia Village Lakeport
1873 N High St, Lakeport, CA 95453, United States
We went to try the newer restaurant, Asia Village in Lakeport. The restaurant is really clean and the owner, Simon, greeted us and waited on us. He has been running restaurants for 40 years in the bay area. We ordered vegetarian spring rolls, the salmon bento, shrimp chow mein and beef chowmein. The bento comes with so much food, soup, salad plus gyoza, tempura shrimp, rice, seaweed salad, and the salmon. Simon was kind enough bring everyone at the table some soup as a starter. I asked if there was a vegetarian soup option, and he easily accommodated. I also asked if he planed to have more vegetarian options and he said they can easily accomodate dietary restrictions right now, just ask. He also plans to expand the menu, but is just working through some food sourcing. All of it was delicious and we will definitely go back.We learned that Simon is still working out staffing issues, because he could not bring some of his staff from the Bay Area up here. We also learned that he will be starting up sushi here soon and he plans to have dim sum and hot pot in the fall. Asia Village offers take out if you dont have time for a sit down. I will also say that they do have beef, chicken and shrimp chow mein as a regular option on the menu. There is also a summer menu with some sandwiches (picture below). I took a picture of my bento box (one of gyoza was already snagged and normally there are 3) and my moms shrimp chow mien (half eaten because I forgot to snap a picture before everyone dug in).I hope everyone comes out to support this great new restaurant so that we can keep it around.
