Ramona Pho & Grill
1429 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065, United States
Ramona locals, look no further! Fairly new pho restaurant and the only Pho restaurant at the moment. Also great stop after a long hike or winery and totally worth the drive to check them out! They're located in the Albertsons plaza with plenty of parking. They offer apps, pho, various types of dry noodles, rice and bánh mì. Open 7 days a week from 10-8pm with lunch M-F from 11-3. Pay in cash and you'll save 3%!There are patio seatings and two identical dining rooms. One could easily be a private room if they decide to add in sliding barn doors to allow guests to host an event. We ordered:-Sweet & spicy crispy wings: Large wings, great flavor. Sweet but not spicy. Juicy and cooked well.-pho: We ordered a mixture of meat that's not on their menu. The broth was fragrant, clear and tasty. Didn't taste MSG.-stir fry flat rice combo: my go to dish when I dine at a new place and it passed the test. The flat rice noodles had a nice char. It's a bit bland but better than sodium. My favorite was the beef because it was sliced super thin and wasn't chewy.-meatball bánh mì: Its basically America meatballs with marinara sauce. If they made their meatballs in house, that would be a different story. When you walk in, you automatically smell the aroma of pho and I left with my clothes smelling like that too. That's when you know a pho place is legit when the broth has been simmering 10+ hours. My fiancé is a pho snob and quite picky. He approves of this place and we'll be back again.Overall, friendly service by auntie/uncle/niece (Jasmin), fair prices, nice atmosphere with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, and delicious food. This place has potential and I hope they are here to stay.
Threes Kitchen
13334 Ramona Blvd k, Baldwin Park, CA 91706, United States
Went here to celebrate Chinese new years eve with my Asian coworkers/friends. In the middle of Baldwin Park, who knew a great Chinese food restaurant was ever there. The foot was fantastic. We ordered family style honey walnut shrimp, fried pepper fish, sweet&sour pork, bok choy w mushrooms, fried pumpkin sticks, and ended it with Hong Kong style egg waffle which is like a fortune cookie cake of sorts. Today is Wednesday and we are going back on Friday to repeat the celebration. The food is very good, service outstanding, its clean and reasonably priced. This is a great find if you want Chinese food in this area.
Tonys Donut House
14226 Ramona Blvd, Baldwin Park, CA 91706, United States
The first time I went there it was because of an ad I saw in the baldwin park newsletter. My partner and I tried a donut with a nutella mousse in the middle. We could tell straight away that it was not actually nutella but rather some sort of powdery cocoa like nesquik. Did not like at all.We gave it a second chance the other day, and this convinced us to never go back. We bought a different nutella donut dcrav and a strawberry cream cheese. The cream cheese did not taste like cream cheese at all. The more expensive dcrav advertised to contain nutella did not contain even a hint of it. We asked the woman there if the dcrav had nutella since that was part of its name. She replied in the affirmative, but once we tasted it we could immediately tell that the nutella was actually the cheap chocolate crap they put on their basic donuts. That wasnt even the worst part! Not only were the pastries not as described, but the cashier overcharged us for our order! The two pastries were 1.95 and 3.25 respectively, and the order came out to 7.66! We stood outside in the rain contemplating our receipt, and then we went in to ask about the price. The cashier gave us a confused look and checked on a separate register. She told us it was not the right price and tried to refund the credit card. When she did that she so happened to come upon an error where our receipt from nine minutes ago did not show up. Finally, she said her machine was stuck and that she couldnt refund the credit card because she couldnt find the receipt that we handed to her. How does that even happen? How did she even overcharge us to begin with? The difference in price was $2.44 and somehow she made the mistake of overcharging us by around %40 of the actual price. We got our refund in cash and left with a feeling that we had been robbed and misled. Not a good business at all!If you want to get overcharged and have your receipts mysteriously disappear, Tonys will happily oblige. We plan on filing a complaint with our credit card company.

This review may be a little biased. First time weve eaten here. Our order included pork curry, phó, garlic and chili beef bowl, garlic edamame and shrimp tempura. We also used Orange Crate for delivery service. Excellent service. Why am I biased, well we have eaten food in a lot of Asian countries. The pork curry (or Tonkatsu) had a good curry flavor. However, the pork was tough and not very good overall. Garlic edamame was just excellent. Love the flavor and who doesnt like some garlic in California? The Tempura shrimp was just a type of thick battered fried shrimp. Tempura should be light and flakey for the batter. Still, the shrimp wasnt bad.One I liked the most was stir-fry garlic and chili beef. By far the best item on our order. We would definitely order that again. The Phó was also a good surprise. We ordered it for a family member that has been feeling ill. Said was just what they needed and they could finally eat something for a change. There were some fresh herbs for the Phó too.My recommendation to the restaurant is to find a different supplier for their pork. If this was done right, I could give a much higher rating. Would we go here again? Probably, but not anytime soon. What I always look for in a restaurant is quality over quantity. Then price compared to the quality. For these reasons, we give Ramona Noodle House a fair rating with 3 stars. We hope that everyone has a chance to explore Ramona and the variety of cultures our small community has great pleasure of giving everyone.
Pinto Thai Ramona
2330 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065, United States
I went here with a friend based on their choice. I have never been before. I had an appetizer based on their recommendation, which was some sort of shrimp wrap with peanut sauce, and I would agree that it was okay. It was a cold appetizer and decent, but it wasnt a WOW experience. As far as the service goes I will start out by saying that I realize this may be a culture thing, but when I go to a restaurant i go with the intention to enjoy my food as well as the person I am with and I didnt appreciate the server reaching in front of my food while eating to remove dishes off the table from my friends almost finished meal, without asking first if they were done or if they could take anything away. It left me feeling as if my patronage wasnt appreciated, and I was being rushed out the door.We definitely didnt stay for dessert if they even offered any there. The atmosphere was okay. But it was the person I was with that made it better, not the establishment.Overall, I would say that this might be more of a take out vs. a come and dine with us experience. Its definitely not a place to go to sit, be social, and dine. But if you are in a rush to get out, eat something real fast, and then be on your way, well then, this may very well be the place for you.
Marinade on Main
865 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065, United States
Absolutely loved this place. The restaurant is so adorably decorated. They have the sequence pillows against the bench seating to perfectly distract my kids. They have a kids menu and coloring for them. There is a super tiny parking lot in the back. On a Sunday(holiday weekend) we arrived at 530 and were seated immediately without reservation. But it got busy 30-45 min after. Sara was our excellency server. They try to source as much as possible locally which is nice. You would think that means super expensive but it was average price for food that was made with local and tastier ingredients. The kids grill cheese(w/ a side of massive berries) and mac n cheese were delicious. But the portion size was 2x too big for my 5 and 7 year old so we brought the rest home with us. My chicken lettuce wraps were amazing, just the right portion size to leave room for dessert. It was definitely the Asian flavored dish, it will not disappoint. My husband got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. It was so good. The meat was so juicy and flavorful. We had the chocolate Ganache cake for dessert. One piece was enough for all four of us. We passed on the butterscotch pudding and banana creme dessert because all she had to say was chocolate. This is our 5th restaurant on our goal to try each one in this town or nearby Ramona since we moved here. It is number one on our ranking by leaps and bounds for overall experience, price and taste. Its always good to have a dining experience be so good especially when dining out with children that need distractions.

Wood Oven Pizza
532 Ramona St, Palo Alto, CA 94301, United States
In a world that emphasizes variety, Wood Oven Pizza is a monument to the value of specialty. Where restaurants devote resources to countless appetizers and entrees, Wood Oven Pizza puts everything into perfecting their stand-alone product. And that product, that flawless piece of art that they craft every day, that product…is the greatest pizza I have ever had and could ever hope to have in my life.I do not overstate this. I have been all over the country and I have traveled the world, including Italy, and I swear on everything that I hold true that THIS is the greatest pizza I have ever had. I suspect it is the greatest I will ever have. So, no, they do not dilute their menu with fusions of cuisines from far flung lands or a myriad of appetizers, because they dont have to. They know better. They understand that their product alone is sufficient to satisfy. And boy does it.Now do not mishear me, I am not saying they make one type of pizza. They have variety. But that variety is in the countless ways they can enhance their already perfect product; toppings and ingredients. Now they don't just deliver in the way of taste. Somehow this food just makes you feel good. Have you ever eaten a pizza and felt like you could run a marathon right after? Well I have. With most pizza places (well really all instead of this place) the sheer amount of carbs, cheese, and grease leave you exhausted and looking for the closest soft surface to ride out your food coma. Not here. I don't know where they get their ingredients or what spell they cast over their pizza but, honestly, I can (and have) workout within 20 minutes of eating AN ENTIRE PIZZA from here. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE? How can I be full and satisfied but also feeling good enough to go for a run? It is truly mind blowing. In sum, I write this article as a plea to you, the general public, to take a leap of faith on this place. Yes, the menu is limited, but that is by design. TRUST THAT DESIGN. This is not an, “if it ain't broke don't fix it” situation…characterizing the artwork that they produce as “ain't broke” would be a gross injustice. This is artisanship, this is care and dedication to your craft this is, in a word, flawless… and in more, the way food ought to be.Please, walk inside Wood Oven Pizza, sit down and be greeted by the kindest and hardest working family. Treat yourself to an unforgettable pizza that will leave you begging for more. I promise it will. And I know you won't regret it.10/10
