Thai Nakorn Restaurant
11951 Beach Blvd, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
Weve been coming here for years and its changed, but not necessarily in a totally bad way. I ordered the satay combo (chicken and pork), but they only gave me chicken. Luckily, it was so good, I didnt mind. The meat was so flavorful on its own, but it comes with a peanut sort of sauce, but it actually took away from the chicken, so I didnt use it. I also got Thai beef salad. This was flavorful, but very spicy. My friend got the shrimp and tofu pad Thai and you cant go wrong with that. It seemed a little under sauced and theyve been skimping out more and more on their ingredients every year, even though the prices keep getting higher and higher. I understand inflation, but please dont start serving lower quality food and/or smaller portions to save money because, pretty soon, loyal customers will stop eating out. I think my biggest thing is the soda. If you want to establish yourself as a restaurant with fancier tables and menu than fast food, please dont serve me soda out of a can that i need to open myself and charge $3.00. Its low class, insulting, and unappealing. You make other great drinks; invest in a soda fountain.I thought there was a reason I hadnt been back in a while and now Im starting to remember. I have very fond memories of this place, from years before, but they are slowly being replaced by disappointment and sadness. 4 stars is being generous at this point. I doubt I will be back.
Double Bamboo Restaurant
7013 Katella Ave, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
To be fair, I'll lay the whole scenario. They close at 10p, I ordered at 9:37. I was on my way from another Thai restaurant that was closed and I Siri'ed Double Bamboo. I ordered Green Curry w/Shrimp (which wifey said was good), Chicken Pad Thai, and Shrimp Tom Kai soup. First red flag was he said it'd be ready in 10 mins..When I got there 12 mins later, it was packaged and sitting on a table. I made small talk with an older lady that rung me out. An older man in the kitchen area smiled as I completed my order and exited. They were nice enough. However, I live in Newport Beach about 25 mins away. When I got home and made the spread for my family, the pad tai was inedible. Everyone knows kids love noodles, my kids didn't touch it. The chicken wasn't fully cut and resembled mangled meat. The noodles were clumped and lacked the flavor I was anticipating. Although the temperature was adequate, the dish was dry and not appetizing. The soup was bland and tasted like some concoction with Campbell's tomato creamy soup as the base.As a budget conscious consumer, eating out is not something my family does often. We have more so during the pandemic and civil unrest to support local businesses. Even though I was nonplussed with the food, I felt it was warranted to reach out before reviewing to let them know and to see what they would propose as a remedy. Succinctly, I was told to bring the old food back from last night. That was 10 mins ago..Like I said, my lady liked the green curry. That's why they got the 2, but Double Bamboo is a one hitter quitter 4 me.

China Super Buffet
12057 Beach Blvd, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
Disgusting place to eat, the food was horrible quality, the pot where the rice was stationed was dirty and not sanitary, the time when the food had to be switched was at 2:30 and I checked the time and it was 4:46, the food was old, the sushi was mushy, the waiters would drop soda off from the cups onto the tables and floors, the place is generally dirty. There wasn't a wide selection of food provided. The names of the food that was provided on the food tables were not correct and did not match the food that was served. The waitress asked my mother if the food was good and my mom was being honest with her and said no and the waitress told my mother to shush. The meat looks sick and distraught. Also, where was the vegetable rice? Where was the actual good chow mein? Why was the chow mein BURNT? Why was there a cup of dirty water where you would place the rice spoon? Why was the churros uncooked? Why was the pizza undercooked? Why was there a small selection of deserts? I experienced this hell with my family. A family of 4. You think it's fair that we paid 82.43 on a Saturday for fake chinese food that will not only make you unhappy but also make you waste your time in the bathroom. The pain will be worse than Taco Bell.Last but not least, when you think of ribs, do you think of a good sized rib or do you think of a one inch rib? Well if you think of ribs as a good sized thing you would be correct. But no, at this “Chinese” buffet, there was ribs that were less then an inch. I made some research and Google says that's an average size for COW ribs is 4 inches long, 2 inches wide. I honestly thing that the rumors of the ribs being dog or cat are true, unless that are cooking micro cows. I would not recommend this buffet to anyone. If you come here, count your days. You will be leaving this buffet with a lost appetite and less respect for the chinese buffets that are across the United States. Good luck and I hope this review can help save countless lives from this terrible experience.
WaBa Grill
7048 Katella Ave, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
Ive been to several Waba grills in the past however Ive always gotten inferior service from those stores. The reason I go a little bit further to come to this location is as Im always greeted with a smile and Im always treated with the utmost respect. The portion sizes are excellent. And the food at least to me is top-notch. For a fast-food food restaurant you cannot surpass the service and deliver food that this Waba Grill offers. The person at the counter has always been very friendly and she always ask if I require anything else including the drink or any sauces. It has been a couple times where Ive gone to other Waba grills 15 to 20 minutes sometimes even 30 minutes prior to the establishment closing and they told me that the place was closed. Almost all of those times if I really wanted Waba Grill I would leave that location and head directly to this location. The store would still be open and they still be willing to serve me food even five minutes till the end of closing. Customer service is a dying art but Im glad to find an establishment that still believes that the customer is King and I stopped going to the other two Waba grills that are actually closer to my home. In my opinion if a place closes at 10 then they should be serving customers until 10 not closing 20 to 30 minutes early. If you were to go to a bank, the DMV or even a supermarket and arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the place closes they would not tell you Im sorry were closed. Why do we put up with it at restaurants that basically do the same. So I commend the people at this Waba Grill excellent customer service, Friendly Smiles and great attitudes. Thank you for always being polite and servicing my needs
Sky Sushi
7145 Katella Ave, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
One star might be a little harsh but this place is SOOOO overrated I have a hard time believing that its 4.6 was from entirely honest reviews. The menue is confused, missing common sushi options (like hand rolls) and loaded with lame inventive house rolls. The food is adequate to questionable...Atmosphere was dingy. ( I heard one person in the corner where I was not sitting requested they spray air freshener)The service was subpar at best and lacking effort and I had a very awkward encounter at the sushi bar with a off-duty employee who was clearly drunk with nothing intelligent to say...I guess one star might be slightly harsh but not unfare.
Mr. Teriyaki
7500 Katella Ave, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
We got the orange chicken and the spicy teriyaki chicken. There are lots of ways to make orange chicken and this is one of the best. The chicken is cut up quarter sized and lightly battered, then fried, then a splash of orange sauce(probably bought and not made there). The sauce was the best and theres no orange chunks in it, but the chicken was awesome and tender! I may ask for orange without the sauce next time. The teriyaki chicken is on the better side and Ill order again. Its a bit over cooked for my taste (but not burnt) and cut up a bit small. That being said, the chicken was tender and it was delicious.I dont know if they make their own teriyaki sauce, but its good and not bitter it burnt like in some places. The side salad was fresh and the dressing was ranch. The side macaroni salad. Im not a fan of macaroni salad... This one still doesnt make me a fan but its good and not nasty and its not covered in mayo. You should call in first cuz it takes a few minutes to make your food, they do make it fresh.
Irrawaddy Taste Of Burma
7076 Katella Ave, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
Super friendly and very attentive service. The restaurant itself is brand new, clean, and has very nice decor. The food is also very good, but may be a bit more Americanized it seems, as the flavors seem to be a bit on the lighter side compared to most Southeast Asian restaurants.
Fusion Corner
11382 Beach Blvd A, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
Parking: Parking is free. It is fairly easy to find. I visited on a Sunday, and they had a consistent flow of customers.Environment/Ambiance: Fusion Corner is literally located in the corner of this small plaza. They have a large menu filled with Vietnamese-Thai foods and drinks. As you walk in, youll be greeted, asked how many is in your party, then youll either wait for a table or be seated immediately if theres an open table. Its very spacious inside with a warm, welcoming, and modern ambiance.Service: Servers are very friendly. They constantly check on you to ensure you are enjoying your food. Kitchen staff is also quick and efficient. We waited under 20 minutes for our food and drinks.Food & Drinks:1) Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings - I usually dont go for lemon pepper, but I heard it was one of their popular appetizers so of course I had to try it. I actually really enjoyed it. They were seasoned very well, wasnt too salty, and super crunchy. Make sure to dip them in the ranch for more flavor! 10/102) Spicy Wontons - These were my absolute favorite appetizers! If you like spicy foods, this is the perfect way to start off. Dont forget the extra sauce at the bottom. 1000/103) Beef Bulgogi Fries - I also tried one of their popular main dishes. Its a combination of both sweet and savory flavors. Its similar to a Lomo Saltado dish but with beef bulgogi of course. This was my second favorite dish. 9/104) Pho Tai Bo Vien (rare steak, beef balls) - Every time I go to a restaurant that serves Viet food, I must try their pho. Their broth is simmered for 12 hours. Youre able to choose your choice of noodles. Add ons are extra. They only have one size, and I would consider it a large. Theyre very generous with the meats, and the broth is delicious. 8/105) Signature Milk Tea - If youre a milk tea person like me, try their signature milk tea. They serve basic milk teas. Not sure if they offer boba. Their signature is regular milk tea topped off sea salt foam. 9/106) Lychee Rose Tea - If you need a refresher, try this fruit tea! Not too sweet. You can definitely taste the lychee; not much of a rose taste. But its topped with dried rose petals. 9/10Pricing: Since they serve modern Vietnamese-Thai dishes, prices are $$$ than average. But lets be honest, what hasnt gone up in this economy? Id say the prices are worth it for the amount that you get. Their dishes can be shared between 2 people.
Oi Asian Fusion
12885 Beach Blvd STE 10, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
There is no better meal for an Asian than a bowl of hearty rice with protein. It's the epitome of “homey” for us. Now that we're in this day and age with plenty of influences from different cultures and flavors, where else can we bring our comfort foods to make it just as comforting but fun? Oi Asian Fusion basically sums up their purpose in their name.Looking at their menu I'm going to go out on a limb and say that theyre primarily focused on Filipino flavors. The most recommended bowl for me was the Adobo bowl.Adobo Bowl - ($10.59) - The bowl came out fresh and ready, the wait time was maybe 10 minute max. The most alluring aspect to this bowl for me was the perfectly soft boiled egg. This got me excited. Next to it was a thinly sliced piece of pork belly with a generous helping of adobo sauce smothered over the protein and rice. The pork was not as tender as I would have preferred, especially with the slices being so thin. The adobo sauce was amazing, and it was even better with a bit of egg yolk with a spoonful of rice. BOMB. Now, I dont recommend getting this and taking leftovers home or even takeout if you're not planning on eating it right away. As soon as we got home and reheated it the adobo sauce got super vinegary and the smell was less enticing. (as nice as I can put it)Overall, the experience was okay. The bowl was pretty good, the price point was decent and service was quick. I think if Im in Rodeo again I'd be down to try something else on the menu!
