Sushiaru Japanese Restaurant

Rarely do I ever leave reviews on dining establishments, yet alone a bad review.I gave the place 2 stars because the experience started out okay, we were sat right away and the young lady brought me a high chair for my baby very promptly. After I had mentioned that I wanted to do the AYCE and my husband was ordering off the regular menu, things kind of started to go downhill. When I tried to give my order to an older lady she basically told me I was ordering too much by saying youre going to be able to finish those 4 rolls?? And I replied, yes.Seems as though she took it upon herself to tell the sushi chef to hold off on a couple rolls, I was delivered one roll for myself and the avocado roll for my baby. Finished my roll. Maybe 12-15 mins pass as Im sitting there waiting and the app I ordered finally comes out. Then another roll. As Im finishing up my last roll, I was already done with being there and not receiving my initial order in a timely manner, the sushi chef comes over and asks if Im ready for the last roll. Hence, why I think they took it upon themselves to see if I can finish my food. The AYCE is is close to $30 ($27 to be exact) for one person and yet they are concerned that I ordered 4 rolls (one being for my baby). The experience was awful. I did not feel like a paying customer should feel when walking into ANY establishment. Also, I had to wave down a server for a second beer for my husband after he was sitting with an empty mug for a few minutes and no one came by to see if he needed a refill. My water glass was empty and I had to flag someone down for more water. With 3 servers on the floor and maybe about 5 tables in the restaurant, I cant think of any reason why beverages wouldnt stay refilled without having to flag someone down.We wont be back.
Pho Saigon Le
12353 Mariposa Rd F12, Victorville, CA 92395, United States
In my opinion, this is the best pho in the Victor Valley area! I don’t even have to put sauce on the broth. It’s delicious. They also have a wide array of choices in the menu that are worth the price. Now, only reason I put 3 stars in this review is because of their mediocre to horrible customer service. I’ve been here for two years now and I still don’t know the older Asian man’s name, he mainly serves as the waiter. His negative and unfriendly aura radiates in the entire restaurant. Not just him but all the guys who serve here will never follow-up with you once your food is served. Poor initiative, poor execution with poor social skills. Otherwise the pho is delicious!

I am a waitress and I use the systems for delivery ALL the time at work. It is a VERY simple system where you can actually change to show you are out of an item. If the customer leaves their number (which we do) they can contact you back if there is a problem. On a couple occasions I have actually contacted the driver if I didn't have this item since they have the info. Tonight I made a delivery order and within 15 seconds of placing the order it was canceled. I called the restaurant and it went unanswered. I even got in my car and drove all the way to the restaurant in order to make the order. The woman immediately asked if she could list everything that they had in the store. She said that they were out of days. I asked if she was out of the walnut shrimp and she said yes, then she proceeded to rattle off everything that they had so fast that I could barely compute it. She needs to slow down and allow the customer to actually understand what it is that they have in stock or not. To that point I got so flustered. I am on a strict diet and just her doing that alone was enough to make me cry. And I told her never mind I would not be making an order and that I originally did an online delivery and came all the way there to get food. She then gave me this bs excuse that it does not allow her to do anything and she had to cancel the order. It's one thing if you were lying to a customers face that has absolutely no idea of the inner workings with the delivery systems. However, working with those systems daily I know for a fact that it is complete bull. Your employees do you not understand how to use the software properly and we're not trained. This location continues to go way downhill. Every time that we go to this location the portions get smaller and smaller and the employees always have an I don't care attitude. I'm not saying to completely fill up my plate or anything but give a little bit more in the boxes so that they are not half empty.

The entire staff are all young and ifThere is no issues they are kind but I get messed my food up and when I called once I got home And realized I called immediately to inform them and that I'd be going back to get What I originally ordered she was fine with that. I got a missed call while Driving and once I gotThere the young lady stated I tried calling you I Said yes I was driving. She then said I repeated your order twice I said yes an I Corrected you and said no whatever I ordered she was snippy so I told her why do you have an attitude she said did didn't not i themTold her this was the third timeThey had messed up my order an im a paying customer it not like I'm asking for free food I brought all the food back as I left with it. She then made a face as ifThat was a lie a stated so did you want to waitBecause your In a rush I said yes why would I not want my food didn't you say you had to go to work. Terrible service. When I walked in before we even had that conversation she had in my food to the cooks and said don't be mad at me. It's not my fault so they were talking about me in front of me. And I already got upset for that and then the way she spoke to me as if I was in the wrong. Then once she gave me my food, she told me that my service was no longer will be serving me there. Once I had walked away from the cash register, she called her Manager and told her whatever story she told her I didn't asked. When was the manager going to contact me she said oh I don't know maybe I can have her call you in an hour but initially at the register I told her I wanted to speak to her manager and they said they could take my info down and have the manager called me, but when she got off the phone with her all she told me as they will no longer accept my serve me. Completely uncalled for no communication with any type of management.

I just visited this location with my family. Mind you both me and my wife have worked in the food industry for years, on multiple fronts. When we walked in we were greeted with 4 stale, sour faces the server Martha walked away from her group conversation her and her coworkers were having, she seemed irritated that she had to do her job. She asked for our order we proceeded with 1 waba bowl on white with veggies she said ok anything else we then asked for 2 sweet and spicy chicken veggie bowls, one with white, and one with brown rice. She responded with The waba is beef and chicken. We said yes we know. We would like 3 bowls. One waba, 1 sweet n spicy chicken with white, and 1 sweet and spicy chicken with brown. All 3 with veggies. She again looked at us confused and said the waba comes with beef and chicken. After finally getting her to repeat our order back to us correctly, we ask to ad an order of dumplings. She then charges us and prints the receipt. We notice the receipt says 1 waba with brown, 1 Chicken with white, and 1 chicken with brown. And of course our dumpling order. My wife then tells her Excuse me maam but this waba bowl was supposed to be white not brown. She tells my wife yes it will be white. So we go make our drinks sit down and as Im putting the kid in the high chair my wife says babe! look down. I look down to see a roach half dead crawling around in circles. So out of reflex I squish it. Im thinking great, were really going to eat here. Maybe it came in from outside IDK. So finally we get our food. I immediately notice my broccoli is raw, like fresh out of the bag thats been in the fridge never even brushed up against a steamer let alone any heat RAW. Cabbage and carrots too. I ask my wife and daughter about theirs. Same thing RAW! My sons eating dumplings my daughters picking around hers because she wont eat raw veggies, my wife as shes eating then shudders and says babe I just bit down on something hard, Im thinking its a bone. She pulls it out of her mouth and to our amazement its a lil pebble. So for anyone not in the food industry sometimes things like rice and veggies tend to have the occasional pebble in them from harvest. But this is easily resolved by giving them a wash when unpackaged. This led me to believe that neither the rice nor the veggies were washed prior to use. After trying to pick through the bowls and salvage a meal. I realized our rice is all wrong lol. At this point we just gave up and left. I hope the management finds this review and implements some SOPs and gives his staff a bit of revision. I dont want to go on longer than I already have but I did pay prudent attention to the rest of the staff and could not find a single positive note to make on any of them but I would recommend everyone there on that shift take a servesafe/food handlers class. Never will I ever visit this location again. Id much sooner dine in a gas station food court than think about eating here again. The multiple photos of the roach are to validate that the roach was in this store at this location. In case there are any doubts.
Yoshi Sushi
14177 Kentwood Blvd, Victorville, CA 92392, United States
This use to be the best sushi I've ever had up until a few months ago. I would come here almost twice a month. Something has changed and it's all bad!!!I typically get the same rolls or rolls that all include the spicy tuna. The heart attack app has always been a favorite.A couple months ago, everything I ordered tasted like cat food and smelt like cat food. My husband gets the tempura rolls (not my thing) and I'd always try one piece. They were just uneatable! Way over fried. They remade them and they were ok. But still off. I was actually sick off a piece because it tasted so bland and like what I assume cat food taste like.We couldn't go back for a whole Nother month because we couldn't get the bad taste out of our mouth of how awful everything tasted. When we had brought it up to the servers attention, they said that they were training some new staff and trying new sauces so we figured they were just learning and chucked it up to that.We went back just recently, and the food has gotten even worse. My husband was not able to eat his rolls at all this time and they were cooked properly for a fried roll and I was able to eat mine, but it didn't taste good and we aren't the type to complain and have things remade or replaced or taken off the bill .When he asked the server if changes were made, if maybe they got a new supplier just inquire like maybe this was just temporary and asked to speak to the manager. The server was extremely rude, said the manager was busy and that if he didn't like it then don't come back. The floors have now been sticky for months. When ordering iced tea and they are making a fresh pot we are informed and asked if we wanted soda because it's gonna take about 15 minutes we always kindly state we are willing to wait. On the most recent visits to this location when the server informs us that the it has to be made because it ran out, they don't ever give an option to wait. They are always pushing a fountain drink like they are not trained to ask if customers are willing to wait for the ice tea. Then when it was done, they said it's still hot and that they could bring us a soda. We had to suggest just filling the cup full of ice and pouring the hot tea over it. Even then, the service seemed reluctant to do that and went and talk to another server before bringing us the drinks that way. This was one of our favorite places to go and used to have the best sushi in the High Desert and due to the way the server acted when asked for manager and told us if we didn't like it. We didn't have to come back even if this place was to correct the food issues, we would not be returning

Woman on intercom (Asian accent), was rude, argumentative because I wanted to change my “bowl”, from rice to noodles. Long story short, I got food poisoning from the rice, I believe. The rice was hard. A matter of minutes, after eating the “rice bowl”, my stomach started bubbling, and I barely made it home, and into the restroom. Barely. Do not eat here. If you choose to ignore this, at least go inside the restaurant, and watch them closely, as they prepare your food. I have NO DOUBT, the rice in that bowl, made me sick. I will not go there again.

Today I can say Ill never go back to this location again. Today I called in an order to go, I asked for a plate and a bowl both with specifics. I knew what I wanted would take some time, so when I was done ordering I asked the cashier working the 5 oclock shift today, about what time the food would be ready, in which she responded 10 to 15 mins. Which was fine, so I arrived 20 mins later to give it some time. Once I arrived, there was 1 person ahead of me waiting for their food. When I provided my name to the cashier, the COOK stepped ahead and said that my food wasnt ready yet because it was white meat chicken and ended 20 mins to cook. So I let them, the cashier and cook know I was aware of that, and that is why I had called ahead and already waited 20 mins. So they looked at me said sorry and repeated it and said Id have to wait about 20 MORE mins. Mind you, I have people waiting on me at work.So to add further injury to insult, as I waited I watched 3 other people come in, and get their food before me. 2 online orders and a walk in. So as I watched those people leave with their food, I finally received mine. Their was no compassion of care in the world that your employees wasted my time. They also burnt my chicken, provided very very little rice on the plate that was ordered, they forgot to add the avocado on the plate as well. I did receive the extra side of avocado that I ordered thankfully. They forgot they well done veggies on bowl as well and this establishment had no waba sauce just spicy and I got 1 of each. This was enough to make me not want to ever come back to this specific place again. The first time they did this, I came to get my food I had again ordered 30 mins prior and they said a group came in used all of the white meat chicken. I didnt e enough get upset then, I just sat done and wait another 20 mins for my food.Best advice check all your food BEFORE you leave. I will also be reaching out to corporate. I attempted to call when I was still in the parking lot, but they were closed, so I will be calling Monday morning.
Young Dim Sum
12209 Hesperia Rd F, Victorville, CA 92395, United States
Update :Finally got round to trying the stir fried beef with rice sticks. Its a passable version of the dish in sgv, Ive had better and I had worse. Given the low low price its a stonking best buy. Xlb soup dumplings was the same as last time, which scored points for consistency, and its the reason why my friend was addicted and insisted to go there. Also the wonton soup improved: the soup has a deeper flavor and it came together better. Id upgrade it from average to above average. Both could stand comparison to some of the specialist joints in sgv, so save the drive downhill for cravings.Im surprised theres dim sum (small snack like dishes) in Victorville, and I wish them every success as this is one measure if our town is boring or not. All dim sum at a jaw droppingly cheap $4,50.I would split the food I tried into three groups: 1) really good and firmly recommended - hakow (shrimp dumplings ), siumai (pork dumplings ), spareribs and chicken paws;2) recommended with slight reservation : charsiu (roast pork ) bun [dough too soft, may need more kneading or less time steaming, filling was great], xlb Shanghai soup dumplings [seasoning slightly bland, but it has flowing juice so nothing wrong with execution ], egg fried rice [slightly enthusiastic on the oil but flavor was good]3) tasted different from dim sum of the same name as those in sgv, recommended to try at the minimal cost of one go-cup coffee, you may like them - wonton soup, beef balls, chives shrimp cake, and dai bao. For example beef balls resemble more Thai style beef balls with tendons, or dai bao was a giant chicken bun and other ingredients thats traditional with dai bao, but in itself theres nothing wrong with that as long as the taste is okay. Except dont go down to sgv and yell at people for infringement of trades descriptions act of 1963. Everyone can defend themselves by saying its how their grandma cook that.Stir fried beef with rice sticks are sold out at 3pm, so its a hot item. Will return to rectify this omission with update. Never say the high desert dont know a good thing when they see one

Not much of an atmosphere, small, clean restaurant in Victorville. Gives you more of a to go orders vibe. Aidan took my order, very personable, went over the menu and various options in depth after I told him it was my first time. Food was good, pretty pricey. I used a BOGO coupon, but plates are about $16 on the average. Includes chicken or beef, white rice, veggies and salad. The sauces are great and they sell them in the bottle as well as offer self-serve options to your desire. Also tried the new chicken wings promo. Again, flavor of the sauce was good but wouldnt necessarily go here for wings.Might try again, but would only order the plate with chicken.
