Qun Mii Restaurant
9541 Bolsa Ave, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
Stopped in because we were craving some pho, but soon realized after entering, they don't have pho, but rather other traditional Vietnamese soups. Not a big issue because I can go either way usually. I would say that the food quality here is a 5/5, and so are the prices, but the service is a 3-4/5. Our server was a bit slow and not the most polite but that's a frequent occurrence when I stop in Thai or Vietnamese restaurants. I don't come for the service, I always come for the food. It's quite large on the inside and they have a lot of different sized tables, so it could easily accommodate very large groups. It's attached to a strip mall so there is a very large parking lot so parking will most likely never be an issue. The menu is fairly large filled with all sorts of classic items. As mentioned I was craving pho, but was sad to see they didn't have that on the menu. I opted for something similar and thought it was great. We started off with a Vietnamese Spring Rolls and I really enjoyed them. For my entrée, I chose the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and I was not disappointed. I usually like the glass noodles, but this came with udon and they were very soft and tasty.Overall a really good option especially if you are in the area. There is a ton of competition close by, but I would recommend this spot to anyone in the mood for a good lunch or dinner.

They close at 3 AM on Friday/Sat and 2 AM otherwise. Thats crazy!CASH only.We were lucky to roll in at 11 pm with no wait although the tables were pretty packed. After promptly handing us menus, we were given free herbal teas. Yum!Theyre also very good with refills too.Our table got:House Special Egg Noodle (dry)House Special Rice Noodle (both broth and dry)Rare Beef with Egg Noodle (broth)I personally got the one with the broth because I like soup, but the dry option looked really delicious too! They add a flavorful sauce at the bottom of the dry option, and the house special consists of having bbq pork, veggies, half an egg, chicken, fish cake. The Beef noodle soup was essentially pho but with egg noodle. All regular bowls are $6.45 and large bowls are $6.95Insanely good deal. The broth might be a little salty so ask for lime to squeeze in.

Ph Vie II Restaurant

We were having a BAD experience at this Pho restaurant and poor service quality. First of all, we arrived first, sat at the table first and ordered before the next table for a long time. But then the server brought food to the next table before us. I could see that he had brought our food to them by mistake, by the expressions on the faces of the customers next to us. They were confused but still ate what was supposed to be ours. Then he brought out our food, of course, a lot of things were missing in it. My friends wanted special pho with large noodles and a bowl of rich/fatty broth, but they forgot and we expected that by observing what they were doing, so not really surprised. They are very UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL towards customers, as we did not receive a single apology after all, at least after he brought the wrong food there should have been an apology for the omission to their customers, but there was also no apology and his attitude was very superficial. Besides that, I did notice that the guests at the table next to us were brought water when they all finished eating. Anyways so many aspects to speak up about their lack of professionalism.

Thien An Bo 7 Mon Restaurant
9862 Westminster Blvd. B, Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
Huge place serving Vietnamese Bo 7 mon, 7 courses of beef, which were originally derived from French dishes. Its open for dinner only on weekdays, add lunch for Fri-Sunday.The pace is nice, clean, spacious. Friday lunch there were only 3 other parties or about 20% occupied. Each 7 course serving is now $32 with enough food for 2 people. Baked cat fish dishes are also in the menu. Beers and wines are $5-6.Meats cooked 7 ways are served with rice paper, lettuce, herbs, pickles, to be rolled into spring rolls and dipped in fish or anchovies sauce, which are very tasty.Meat portions are small, but all 7 dishes were better and tastier than those served by the now-defunct Anh Hong and Pagolac:1. Beef and shrimp salad2. Top round hot pot3. Top round grilled4. Grilled ground beef in betel leaf5. Grilled ground beef in beef fat6. Steamed ground beef loaf7. Rice beef soup, very rich and tasty1 serving lunch for 2 people costed $44 before tip. Its hard to compete against various Korean BBQs and hot pots in OC serving lunch for $22 and dinner $29 with AYCE rib eye, brisket, ribs.Vietnamese Bo 7 Mon is more like a long, slow, formal dinner, where clients have to roll their own spring rolls, which can be messy. It has not caught on with a large clientele base in mainstream So Cal, likely due to price points, limited menu, beef being the only main ingredients, and the messy work required to cook and eat it. Major venues in So Cal struggled for decades and went out of business. This location used to be Hong An, taken over by Thien An, now returned to the original owner, who operates another Thien An in Rosemead. The 2 Thien Ans on Harbor and Bolsa are original, now operated by 2 cousins. Does not look like they are doing booming business. There may be a market for selling each dish as a single serving, for pick up with lower overhead, in the range of $7-12.We are unlikely to come back.

The Dim Sum Co.
8900 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683, United States
This is my first time ordering from this restaurant. The quantity and quality of the food were amazing! We ordered the pork and shrimp Xiu Mai (dumplings), Heo Quay (fried pork)and various other items (can't remember the names). Everything was delicious! Just a word of caution. We ordered online at 4:20pm. The website stated that they are open until 5pm. Once we completed our order, a confirmation text was sent to my phone for the time of pickup. To our surprise, the pickup was scheduled for the FOLLOWING day at 8am! I guess I expected that my dinner would be available on the same day that I ordered, especially 40 minutes before closing? Since we were already in the neighborhood and we couldn't find their phone number to cancel, we decided to go in to the store (we were a couple of miles away). We arrived at 4:30 and they were already cleaning up and putting away food. After explaining my situation, the 2 ladies in the restaurant decided to make my order. Overall, the food was great. The ordering is weird since you have to pay first before knowing when you'll get your food (could be the next day). However, they redeemed themselves by accommodating our order. Unfortunately, the process for ordering will probably stop me from ordering there again. The Atmosphere was good. This restaurant is located in a Vietnamese grocery store. The store and parking lot were busy but we enjoyed the immersive (for lack of a better description) cultural experience.

I was so excited to try this place. The ramen, noodles, and steaks looked so good in the pics but based on the noodles we recieved and the steak I ate, it was just great photography. I ordered a rib eye steak that was no more than 3/8ths of an inch thick. If I had gone to stater i brothers for a steak that size at 4.99 the pound, I probably wouldve paid less than 4 dollars. I asked for mashed potatoes and received the type of mashed potatoes from the bag that only get water added to them. The gravy served with it went the same. Just terrible. The shrimp from my wifes noodles were chewy and tense, Im sure its from coming out the freezer. (Any one that cooks knows what Im talking about) the noodles were super dry but great flavor of garlic. Now the service. I wasnt asked what I wanted to drink so they gave me water instead, and was only refilled once out of the hour and 30 mins that I was with the cup. The same guy that walked past me 5 times before, asked me on his 6th round if I wanted a refill (I was already done with my steak, my wife and baby were done with the noodles, we were waiting for someone to come with the check) when I recieved my steak I asked the person for more steak sauce since I was only given a little and his response was it is right there (in a small plastic cup that barely had any in it.) I emptied it out in front of him to get some more but he had walked away immediately after his response. When he came around again, I asked him for more steak sauce and a person that was no where near to hear my request came out with it, so I know he went back there talking crap. Two tables that were seated after us and of more people In their party received their food quicker than us. Our food came out with that of a third party that was seated after us. While we waited a waitress came to do idk what but she ended up spilling the water on my son, she sounded very regretful so we told her it was ok and helped her clean the table, my son enjoyed getting wet which is why we werent upset. But I would think after a screw up like that, better service would be given but nope, it wasnt. I dont know why I was given this nasty service but the only difference I saw between us and others is that we had a one year old who was playing with the spoons and blabbing. Even when the service in other places is questionable I give at least 10 percent of the check of tip or 6 dollars. Which ever is greater, but i honestly didnt think about leaving 1 dollar since no one continuingly check in on us. Terrible place of service for us, they can keep their free lemonade from Yelp.

Paracel Seafood Restaurant & Catering
15583-89 Brookhurst St, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
If youve been looking to wow your guests with a multi-course Asian family style meal at the venue of your choice, for an incredible price and paired with amazing service, congratulations, your search is over.Paracel is one of very few places that will cater Asian banquet food at your venue and actually cook the food on-site in a mobile kitchen. Let me repeat. These guys actually cook the food ON SITE at YOUR VENUE. Not at their restaurant & then bring over in a box so that its been sitting/lukewarm when dinner starts. No, its actually served hot & fresh. Go ahead and try to find another place that does it better. Ill wait. Our journey with Paracel started in 2019 as we searched high and low in for a caterer who can serve Asian family style food for our then-2020 wedding at South Park Center in DTLA. Weve also looked at Grace, Top, Panda, and Furiwa. In the end, Paracel emerged as the clear winner in terms of value and menu selection. We even sent our picky bridesmaids to do a tasting on our behalf, after which they collectively responded with two big thumbs up.When we had to ultimately postpone our wedding to 2022, Matthew the catering manager was more than understanding about moving our date. Throughout the entire 3 year process, weve bugged him with countless questions via text, emails, and phone calls. Hes honestly one of the nicest people youll ever meet and was always happy to address all our concerns quickly and thoroughly. Even when logistic hurdles arose as our big day drew close, Matt took the initiative to resolve them with our venue directly and saved us a ton of headaches. On the actual wedding day, Paracel arrived promptly to set up the mobile kitchen and all the tables. As a big surprise, Matt upgraded our standard plates to a beautiful translucent floral plate set that elevated the elegance of the entire table setting. They also moved 100 chairs for us between ceremony and reception spaces during cocktail hour, which was another gesture of goodwill that we greatly appreciated. And course, there is the food. We opted for the gold package that consisted of the 6-star platter, fish maw soup, house special lobster, the shaken beef, honey walnut shrimp, Peking duck, whole-steamed fish, yang-chow fried rice, and the fruit soup. We were only able to sample the first 4 dishes until we had to make rounds at all the tables, but all of them were delicious - with the lobster & garlic noodles being our personal favorite. To say that the food was a huge hit our guests would be a massive understatement. Many of them have told us it was simply the best dinner theyve had at a wedding, or that they couldnt believe we were able to have this level of quality Asian banquet food served outside a restaurant. There was not a single guest who didnt overstuff themselves by the end of the night because the food just kept coming and coming and coming. Luckily Paracel also provided to-go boxes, so many of our guests ended up taking the leftovers home.At the end of the day, we could not have been happier to have chosen Paracel to cater our wedding. We booked them with high expectations and they absolutely knocked it out of the park with both the quality of the food and their professionalism. It had been such a pleasure working with Matthew, his father, and the entire Paracel team, and to be able to support their family business in Westminster. Thank you Paracel once again for helping make our dream wedding become a reality!

We stopped here for brunch with the in laws before heading back home and it was ok. Its probably one of the few places that still has carts and not the order sheet dim sum. Although there might be a lot more cart dim sum restaurants in OC and LA that I dont know about, especially since we live in SD and dont dine down here often. The restaurant itself is very pretty, and my brother in law told me that it doubles as a wedding venue/hall. Tables are nice and big but some are stuck very close together, and youre left sitting practically on top of your neighbor. It was pretty empty when we came in but got very busy soon after. My brother in law had to flag down the waitress a few times to ask for some chili oil, which they didnt have, and a plastic fork and spoon for our son.The food itself was ok but I didnt get to try much to be able to say for sure. The shu mai wasnt bad and the bbq pork bun was typical. The rice cake was plain, and the scallop dumpling was ok but heavy.

Probably one of the few, traditional style Vietnamese restaurants out there that provided surprisingly amazing service that was thoughtful, considerate, and warm-welcoming; not to mention the food was delicious and did not feel heavy on the MSG. Additionally, as locals all know, the addition of free Nouc Mat (translated literally as liquid of refreshment and is a sugarcane pressed beverage), was just icing on the cake; all things considered, especially with how awesome our server was.I had the Bò lúc lắc, which is the stir fry filet mignon, had a nice savory sauce that adhered to the beef in just the right amount, avoiding any judgements of being too saucy and flavored the beef just right to be enjoyed with the optional crispy rice (alternative to regular steam rice). Although it may be said the rice was a bit heavy handed, there was also plenty of beef to go alongside it which just makes it a great value. The story fry combination rice noodle had great flavor and was slightly too light for my heavier sodium tastes but for an average person Id guess its just right. From beginning to end, we were fortunate to come at a slower time and, while this place is known to be extremely crowded at peak hours and pre-COVID that meant lots of bodies stuffed into a tightly packed, crowded room, the now available outside dining tables provided a roomy, spacious, and under appreciated level of comfort, sort of dining environment, for enjoying our late lunch on a bright spring day. It was almost as if we were sitting at a mid-scale restaurants outdoor patio seating as maybe seen in rural parts of Vietnam.

This place should be closed by now, all you get is rice and macaroni plate with a little chicken or meat on top. Test horrible, they should close it because the customer service is zero, my wife ordered and they made mistake and instead of fixing the man behind the counter yelled at her, I was with the kids she didn't say anything until we got home, I said the food is horrible we wasn't lucky today and she said they made mistake ( she asked for chicken and beef and they made it all chicken and they refused to fix it, terribly rude. I think the man behind the counter is the owner and he is very rude, after I read most of the reviews it seems it is common complaint about that place, I don't know if I called if I will get real customer service or should I go to city food department, please if you experience same thing write something to let people know how this place is ashamed to be in big mall like that. Try yourself although I wouldn't recommend order every thing at once, get one plate and see if you like it. I am hundred percent sure you will trash it and they will not refund you.
