Wojia Hunan Cuisine
917 San Pablo Ave, Albany, CA 94706, United States
The food and service is absolutely great. You order and in about 5 minutes, the food arrives. What brought the score to 5 stars for me was the Dan Dan noodles because of its rarity being in a chinese restaurant in California.

Renees Place

Best green onion pancake Ive ever tasted! Friendliest service Ive ever received at a Chinese restaurant! Pricey like other restaurant in vicinity but I like everything here much, much more (sustainable, humane meats used, organic)! I like that its elegant, food comes out fast, service is efficient, & I cant wait to try their other dishes! Were actually thinking of heading back here next week! :) my new favorite Chinese restaurant! ♡

China Village
1335 Solano Ave, Albany, CA 94706, United States
China Village is a rare Chinese restaurant in that its both clean and delicious. Sounds like an oxymoron, right? But really its a great place to eat on Solano and its well staffed. The head waiter loves kids and seems to always talk to them. There are lots of families that come to this restaurant, so bring your kids. You can get anything from hard core Chinese dishes that dont smell great, but taste awesome to very Americanized chicken chow mein. They serve everyone with a smile here.

Sugata Japanese Restaurant
1105 Solano Ave, Albany, CA 94706, United States
Easily the best sushi in East Bay and beats out so many sushi spots in SF. Ill break it down between food, ambiance, and service.FOOD - For me, a tell-tale sign of a sushi restaurant with good food is the preparation that goes into every ingredient, and especially into the little things all the way down to the grains of rice. Yes, the rice! I have been to too many high quality and high end sushi restaurants that dont properly prepare their rice. At these other places, the rice in my nigiri is often cold, dry, or simply doesnt have the right balance of vinegar, sugar, salt, etc. Sugata truly knows how to prep their ingredients and considering the care that goes into the rice, you can imagine the effort that goes into preparing their proteins.AMBIANCE - This restaurant is cozy. Its the perfect spot for a relaxed meal and theyve set it up well. Theres space for 4 people at the bar, where youd be sitting right next to the sushi chefs. Id recommend sitting at the bar if you get a chance--its so much fun since the chefs usually hand us random items that theyve prepped (on the house!). The tables and décor throughout the rest of the space has a modern feel and theyve curated a vibe that is relaxed and trendy.SERVICE - Friendly staff, quick service. Theyre always looking to accommodate our needs. Theyll give us hot towels for our hands right after we sit down and get us the check right when were ready. Perfection.

Albany Hill Park
Taft St, Albany, CA 94706, United States
I deeply special place for my son and I. Hit the top of the hill where the cross is, one one side there are benches faces a great view of Berkeley/El Cerrito, on the other side a little harder to find, another bench and wood swing facing the Golden Gate Bridge. People pay a ton to live here, but you can drive to the top and park on circle for free. On the hill slope south and then down facing the bay from the cross, there is a clearing slope area that is a wonderful place to look at the stars at night. You should stop here, even if just passing through.

Landmarks Albany Twin

This is one of the best theaters Ive been to. Absolutely love this place. Its tied for first place with 2 other theaters that are all in my top 3. The little antique bathrooms, the auditorium, the little box office outside, the old cracked terrazzo pavement design out front, and the type of films they run, and even the type of audience it attracts (since its up in rich town, there are none of the abusive people that you find at the theaters in downtown areas). I disagree with the people leaving bad reviews on here.2 other extraordinary theaters - the alameda in alameda, CA near OAKLAND. Also there is an amazing one in Santa Barbara far cooler than any other I've been to.

Suzette Crepe Cafe
1226 Solano Ave, Albany, CA 94706, United States
A great find! Fresh ingredients, perfect preparation, generous portions, authentic French savory and dessert crepes. Varied salads and espresso drinks offered as well.I enjoyed the Saint Malo (savory ham, cheese, egg) which is prepared in the traditional French style with edges folded over. Delicious, classic and filling! My companion had a custom vegetarian savory crepe. Many offerings for vegetarians. Our only disappointment was not having room to share Crepe Suzette for dessert, but we will be back! The ambiance was casual, colorful and comfortable for dining in. The restaurant is in a pleasant walkable section of Dolsno with other fun places nearby for strolling. The staff (owners?) couldn't have been more friendly. The chef even seemed not to mind my poor but well-intentioned French.

Bowld Korean Rice Bar
1479 Solano Ave, Albany, CA 94706, United States
Pretty good Korean restaurant near UC Berkeley. We took our God daughter who is a freshman at UC Berkeley, out for lunch. We found this restaurant on Yelp with good reviews.Since our God daughter likes spicy food, we ordered a few spicy Korean food. She seemed to enjoyed the soft tofu with beef in medium spicy soup. We tried the Chopchae and it was delicious. We also had BBQ pork belly and it was tasty. Another good dish we ordered was the Kimchi pancake. It’s similar to the Chinese onion pan cake. They did a good job on this one.All dishes came with rice and a few small sides like kimchi and seaweed. We chose the brown rice. You can also get the regular white rice to go with the food.Prices are reasonable at around $12-15 each dish. The service was good and the food came out pretty fast.Parking is on street with two hour limit.
